20:07 “what am I doing in this neighborhood?” Bri, you are there to show your neighbors a different (and in mine and your other viewer’s opinions, better!) way of living. You said you are the only property with a huge garden. I am willing to bet that at least one, and probably more, of your neighbors are inspired by this and by next spring, you won’t be alone in your large yard garden. Please remember what an inspiration you are to not only your viewer family but everyone who comes in contact with you! ❤

Helpful hint! I recycle a bulk herb container like oregano or parsley from a big box store. Fill it partially with light sand then mix in your seeds. This does two things it spaces your seeds out so that you don’t have to thin them and it shows you where are you planted. The sand being a lighter color than the dirt. This is how I plant lettuce, spinach, and carrot seeds.

Oh my heart was so happy watching you and the older kids helping you PLANT more seeds for your spring/early summer crops! Praying it will FLOURISH for y'all to bring you joy in growing and provide sustenance! If desired, here's a QUICK meal idea that my husband developed during a time we were in the "sandwich season" of life with kids and doing parent care: Simply warm or cook chopped small pieces of ham, sausage or bacon in a large skillet. Add chopped onion and broccoli until tender, then add cooked pasta of choice (my kids liked vermicelli or thin spaghetti) oil and seasonings of choice. Sometimes we'd add parm cheese if we had it as well. A great FAST and one-pot filling supper. We'd serve garlic bread (which may have been leftover hot dog buns) and a plate of fruit.

Try direct sowing your spinach in the late summer/fall. Just so it has enough time to grow a few sets of true leaves. It will go dormant over winter and then it will start growing like gangbusters in the Spring! Then, if youi have the room, let it bolt and collect seeds for sowing again in the Fall. It's the only way I grow my spinach now!

The Garden is starting to look amazing. I'm living the dream through and your lovely family 😍 It's funny how some days - kid's can wake up in grouchy mode no matter what you're offering 🤣 Hope they're feeling better soon x

You can plant potatoes in a bucket etc. It really works.
