I'm in a similar divorce situation and am certainly no feminist, although I am a very strong woman. I cry when I watch your videos, for you, your children, me and my children, and the men who should be with us and are no longer. We push through though, our Eternal Husband and Lover of our souls, (not in a creepy way,) is Jesus. He will sustain us and give us strength. I love you, your courage and your strength. You have friends out here, Bri.

I had four. I was a single mom even before my divorce. I quickly learned I can do anything I set my mind to. But take help when it’s offered. Remember too, you cannot be all things to all people. You need to take time to love yourself. Let me tell you even with all my parental mistakes; All my kiddos grew up and are productive members of society; great parents; and even though they are spread out from Indiana to Fl; they are still very close and we have a family vacation every year. You can do this!

Bri, you are such a beautiful soul and you truly are a woman of great grace. I was in a similar situation as you are when my children were young. When I see how you handle yourself and how patient, loving, and kind you are in the midst of your grief and struggles, I am truly inspired. I don’t know what happened to Arthur, and you probably don’t, either. I never could understand what happened to my ex husband. What I do know is you are handling this situation so much better than I did when I walked through the same thing. Sadly, so many women go through this, and you are setting a great example how to push through it with a kind and positive attitude. God bless.

Hello Bree. I'm a long time follower from when y'all first started your channel. I remember anxiously awaiting the news when baby Wilder was born it seemed like you didn't post for 2 days... And of course the twins.
My husband and I dreamed of selling our house and buying a small farm or homestead but in the midst of that he had cancer and after a 3-year battle he passed away. When he died, my kids were 5, 7, 10, 12 and 15. It's been 3 years... But it's really hard to single parent. I'm much more motivated to work alongside with. I was definitely created to be a helper completer.
I'm so excited to watch you start your garden from scratch. I feel like every year I'm starting from scratch. We have a food forest but every year I feel like I'm battling the weeds. We got our fruit trees and berry trees planted just a few months before my husband died, but he did all the planning in the layout. Our goal is to not mow or even weed whack and the food forest but that was just an invitation for weeds to take over. I think I'm going to try to do a silage tarp and several areas that I want to kill down. Even if it just sits and kills out in the sun and I plant it meant to late summer that would be much better than fighting the weeds year-round.
I bought my first plants today and I hope to get my cabbage and broccoli and lettuce in the ground.
We have about 50 chickens and 50 rabbits on our 2 acre lot in Roanoke Virginia, so I plan to dump lot of rabbit poop and make beds like you are.
It's hard to motivate myself to clean house or do yard work alone. I do much better when I hire a friend to come out and help me. The trail life troop that my husband helped found came and did a whole day work project on Saturday and built me a shed and did a lot of major reading and trailer full of mulch. It was a huge blessing.
Sometimes I think about if I had a RUclips channel what sort of content would I have. I think knowing that I had to produce some content would be good accountability to actually get up and do some stuff. I'm so proud of you for continuing. I think there's a lot of story to be told and people care about hearing how a single mom is able to manage juggling a lot of hats. Thanks for keeping it real and helping us see that it's possible to persevere even in the rough times.
Blessings to you. You're not alone

A great reminder to keep our eyes on the goal ( and God) and not get stuck in the process. Like you, we are going thru a rebirth of sorts-our home burned down last spring. I decided to embrace everything I don’t like doing, I’m embracing snakes and crocodiles and I’m embracing apps, pins and passwords! Even financial info. I feel it’s my lesson for this stage! I’m saying you and I are in this together!! And this stage will pass too! Love you!

Gardens are so fulfilling and wonderful. I started my tiny greenhouse about two weeks ago, so now my greens are coming up. Five color silver beets and red lettuce and Tom thumb lettuce. And cabbage.and cucumbers. But I have to start other things like tomatoes. And pumpkins. I found out a trick for me last year on pickles. My pickles use to be soft and I fixed that last year. I wasn't putting in enough huge grape leaves!. Our big tiller died three years back so we will have to wing it again by hand. God bless your garden bri'. ❤️🥦🌼🍓🍅

I definitely see your point about the strong woman movement being overrated BUT what I also think is super overrated is staying in relationships when the goals, values, love, passion, responsibilities, etc., are not shared. I've seen so many people struggle to manage more than their reasonable share and it is not only exhausting physically, it is exhausting mentally and emotionally. It takes so much strength and courage to do it alone but it is possible. And you are killing it Bri. I admire you a lot and know your children will appreciate it in the future. Much love to you all 💛

I wish people wouldn't make people feel bad about the "way" they garden, if you are trying and are growing food for your family you are doing good, whether you till, do raised beds, do organic non gmo, or have to do what you need to protect your crop from pests, etc. Do what you can with what you have and the Lord will bless you in your efforts, Just do your part and he will do the rest! #HAPPYGARDENING #JESUSLOVESYALL

I have a husband but…… he is against my farm and won’t help with anything. I guess the harder it is for me in his mind the quicker I will give it up. But my animals and caring for them has saved me from my own mental health issues. I do everything myself. Even if it’s too heavy or I don’t have the knowledge. Even though I hate gardening and he is very good at it I’ve decided to do that on my own too. All because you inspire me. We can do hard things.

You’ll finding me checking in with you constantly - good luck to you and the kidlets.

As your children, especially boys grow older they will be a huge help putting things together for you. It’s hard now while they are so small, but take heart your boys (and possibly your girls too!) will be able to confidently do these sorts of projects for you. When I was divorced my son was 7 and by the time he was 12 he was doing these sorts of things and later there was nothing that boy couldn’t do!

Bri, you are an inspiration and a blessing. As a middle aged woman with a disabled husband and son I morn the loss of partnership we had. At the onset of the pandemic I moved us to a farm and my dream has been slow to progress but your perseverance through such a loss has boughtback the motivation and I am trying to match your garden progress.
I started with the animals and am working back towards the garden.
New calves are due in the next month and my milking cow will be back in. We are eating lots of eggs, chicken and ducks. Thank you for sharing, it means more than you know 💞

Bri, I wondered during initial planning if the walking rows would be wide enough. They seemed much more narrow than you used at the farm. Air circulation between rows will help minimize pests. In this video when you said the cart shouldn’t go down, maybe you were just talking right now but I’ve found my cart to be the minimum width for walking rows. I only mention this because you’ve suggested or said spacing isn’t your strongest suit.
I so admire your dedication to staying calm and present with your children. A subject for a video your audience might enjoying hearing more about.
