    Going into Software Engineering/Coding, was the best decision I could have made for my career. I started out years ago W2 contracting using VB6. From there, I moved eventually to C# WinForms and WPF/MVVM, ASP.NET MVC, other tools, and now, DBE contracting at the municipal and state levels. If you are just starting out, the starting pay can be pretty good. And the sky is the limit. Seven figures is not very difficult to accomplish, as a DBE/MBE sub-contractor, once you reach the Senior skill levels. And from there, once you advance to a Prime, eight figures in not out of the question. My best advice to any one who want to do this, is to be prepared to learn on your own, via Google and RUclips, like the man in this video stated.

    How is the work environment as a software engineer. I’ve been hearing people saying that is toxic and it’s very stressful. So I wanted to know how it is with someone working in that field. I’m actually studying software engineering at a community college and in the process of finishing my associates in Software engineering and transferring to a 4 year. I was thinking of switching to do computer science because like you said it’s more broader and maybe I won’t want to do software engineering my whole life. I’m an ok coder and I know the basics of C++ and java and so far I’m liking it. But some people say that only people that love coding will succeed in this field which is giving some concerns. So I wanted to get your point of view.

    I'm starting college soon as a freshman majoring in IT. I'm still planning on becoming a software engineer so I'm hoping to transfer to a bigger college soon for computer science or engineering but I was wondering about that internship stuff you were talking about. Where and how do you find those side projects? Are they associated with course work?

      You can find internship opportunities through career fair networking, and sites like Glassdoor, and Linkedin. You also can find project inspiration and ideas through google, w3 schools, and plural site.

      Shouldn’t you be majoring in Computer Science if you wanna be a software engineer? People usually become like technical reps for companies and helping people manage accounts. Just a thought

    I have one question. Please address this.
    I have just done my bachelor's in Pharmacy which has one subject of maths and I have done lots of MOOCS and I have developed a huge interest in it. I am from India and eventually wants a job in USA.
    So how do I begin now? Are there any MS for me and is it good? Also is it worth all this effort to become software developer

    hey, guys!! i wanna know if i could choose to major in cs and then start a specialization in software engineering? and if with that specialization it would be necessary to have a license to work as a software engineer?
    ps. i wanna major in cs because just like he said it has more flexibility, so if after a while i wanna change to another field it would be possible (;
    hope you guys can respond(:

    Had no idea about your channel until now and I wish I knew about it before this video to ask you questions :( hopefully you see this and can see my question. But I am an Incoming freshman majoring in Cyber Security. I know that it deals with information technology and coding sometimes. Do you know anything about this major and does it relate to computer science at all?

      I apologize I don't know as much about cybersecurity by I assume you should go over the basic computer science fundamentals in your curriculum.
