I can’t believe you said building our robot was boring! That was the best part. 😂
I’ve been meaning to tell you, that spring of ‘14 when I wasn’t sure which engineering major to pick, you were the first to tell me to do Mechanical, even though I didn’t think I could do it at Purdue. Now, here I am four years later with a BSME degree. It wasn’t easy, but you were the first person to believe in me, so I gotta thank you. Thanks for being an inspiration not just to me, but to everyone.

Thanks for the motivation bro. I really wanna be a full stack developer. I just got out the Army and I'm starting CS this fall, getting my undergrad and gen ed courses done at a community college first then transferring to a university.

Keep making the videos man I'm a senior in highschool right now and the more I watch your videos the more I'm getting pulled into computer science and gaining confidence. By the way do you believe I should still do computer science or software engineering if I dont exactly enjoy and sort of struggle (low B student) in science and math? But I still enjoy programming and like coding and find it really rewarding?

Is a computer engineering degree with a concentration in software systems or maybe even just a general computer engineering degree good enough to become a software developer/engineer?

Anyone can learn to program. If you stick with it over time things will just start to click in your mind, and you'll understand more and more. It's a process of just trial, error, and continuous learning. The more you submerge yourself in it the the faster it will start to make sense. Just remember if you don't understand something, don't get frustrated, just look at that as an opportunity to research and learn more.

I want to major in comp sci but I’ve never taken a class on it. I did a program that introduces tech to young girls and we learned the basics of HTML and CSS for web development. Another workshop included basically copying whatever the instructor did on the screen and we ended up with a basic alien shooter game in C#. Keep in mind, these “classes” were only a day long, 9-4, but it barely touched on the vastness of the subjects.
My question is, with minimal knowledge of comp sci and pretty ok grades (4.0 uwGPA, 4.13 UC GPA, 1350 SAT, AP Spanish 5, & planning on taking AP calc ab next year) is it better to go to a school like UC Davis, or go to community college and then transfer into a school like UC Berkeley?
