    My favourite biscuits. I always get them at the Italian deli and wondered how they captured heaven in a tiny ball. Now I know I will make them. Thank you so much!

    Interesting recipe... thanks for sharing... noticed there's no butter. Please advice if it's okay to add butter in it. Also can I use almond powder? Thanks

      Thank you for watching my video! This is a classic recipe from my childhood.
      This recipe doesn’t call for butter or oils, the chopped nuts give the moisture and structure of the cookies.
      I don’t think almond powder will work, you need the chopped nuts as I mentioned for the structure.
      Hope this helps you, let me know how they turn out if you try the recipe.

      Hi there - so happy they turned out for you. I do use 2 cups of finely chopped pistachios. You can definitely chop them up finer to get more in. Love this recipe.

    These look wonderful.
    Will the 1 and 1/4 cup sugar go in the dough?
    ( do you have ADDITIONAL sugar allotted for dusting/rolling)
    Just wondering

    These look delicious! I think my husband will love them! I have a question.........Are you measuring 2 cups of pistachios and 2 cups of almonds and then finely chopping them OR is it 2 cups of finely chopped pistachios and 2 cups of finely chopped almonds?

    • @nonnasaysmangia
      @nonnasaysmangia  8 лет назад

      Joann Jacquin - hello, I measure and chop them separately. Let me know how they turn out for you - ciao!

    I am a Vegetarian . Is there a way to get the same result without using eggs ?
    eg. Adding butter / milk /cream / oil or anything else in place of eggs .
    Also don't we use any baking soda or baking powder in it ??

      Lorena Buenos You don’t need it. The egg yolks & nuts provide the fat.
