    Your nails look fabulous! Thanks for sharing your great review on this product. 🙏🏼 Anastasia, can you do a follow-up video to tell us how long these last? Also, how much strength does this product add to the natural nail? Is it, for example, like the equivalent of having 2 coats of gel polish + a top coat on the nails?

    As someone who can't do nail art to save my life or afford to keep on going to the nail salon, I only rely on semi-cured or fully cured gel nail seals now. Sooo much cheaper and so many brands/ designs to choose from! Also, really easy to apply once you get the hang of it!
    I've never heard of this brand before though. The designs are so pretty. 😍 My only complaint would be the fact that they only offer 20 strips.. the ones I use have an amount between 24 and 34 strips.

    These are so pretty! I wonder if you could make these by painting the design on backing paper and then peeling and sticking it on wet base coat? Sounds like a fun experiment!😁🥰

    Love the set and this concept of having your nails done so quickly. What is this product made of for the ones who are allergic to gel polishes of any kind.

    • @screamingmimi90
      @screamingmimi90 2 года назад +3

      I’m also allergic to a lot of polishes. One thing I do is find one top coat that I can tolerate. You can also put regular nail lacquer over gel polish. I make sure any polish-or any product I use-is complete covered by that top coat. Every square millimeter has to be covered, even the tip and the under side is complete sealed by the top coat. I hope that helps you. Warm wishes from Minnesota!

      It's really not worth continuing to mess with gel if you have an established allergy, it can affect other areas in your life when it comes to needing medical or dental procedures where acrylates are used. Please be careful.

      My dermatologist said that they are experiencing a tsunami of gel allergy cases - I developed a severe allergy after nine months. Her advice was *not* to try to find a gel product I could tolerate, as I'd most likely develop a further allergy... and, as REZN8 says, various medical and dental problems can happen: I had to check the orthopaedic cement for methacrylates just as I was being wheeled into theatre for a total knee replacement!!

    The end result is very pretty, I’m not a pro tech but in my humble opinion they should not be promoted as being for people with allergies to gel. This is 60 % cured gel they could be touching with bare fingers whilst applying, and you filed the uncured item. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I checked the website and I can’t see the MSDS for ingredients, that would be helpful to know.

    • @neonhol0gram
      @neonhol0gram Год назад +1

      If gel is liquid, the tiny HEMA particles can be absorbed by the skin. However, if the HEMA is polymerized in the strips already, the molecules are too large to be absorbed by the skin.

  • @papeya

    I love the design!! But I'm confused, how are they good for people with gel allergy when they are made out of gel?

    • @alexiway
      @alexiway 2 года назад

      Gel allergy is triggered by liquid gel. Since these are semi-cured, there's no exposure to liquid gel.

    • @AozoraNakigoe
      @AozoraNakigoe 2 года назад +5

      The problem usually is with non-cured yet product. if you applied the product accidentally on the skin, it will cause an allergic reaction or overflow in cuticles also make the reaction. if you stick it in on and it’s no need to be cured and it’s not flowing on the nail them it’s good.

    • @rezn8

      THIS even the brand says they SHOULD NOT be used if you have an allergy, this is really not cool they are advertising these like this. They were NOT made for those of us with allergies

    • @alexiway
      @alexiway 2 года назад +1

      @@rezn8 It certainly makes sense for them to make that statement about gel allergies. However, I'm in a few FB groups of people who use these strips and those who have gel allergies seem to be able use the strips as long as they don't use any products on top of the strips that trigger their allergies.

    I’m trying to work out if I had an allergic reaction to my gel (starting to think I didn’t - the skin around my eyes is still tight a day after removing). It’d be really amazing to have a video describing what to look out for with allergies. Ie. I’ve got no irritation around my nails / fingers, but my face / eyes are tight the same as I’ve experienced with other allergies in the past, so I can’t work out whether it could be related to my manicure. Also some prevention / best practice for us hobbyists at home would be AMAZING!

      I am severely allergic to ACRYLIC/gel. When filing, any uncured product flies about the room and can settle anywhere, hair, clothes, surfaces, eyes.
      You may be beginning with sensitivity before a full blown histamine reaction. I had skin reactions all over before the full blown rash, nail bed separation, extreme eye swelling, itching and peeling skin on fingers.
      Best practice is work very clean. Hope this helps xxx

      @@earlgreydionne1489 Thanks so much for your input! I took off my gel and popped on some dip powder and my eyes are still rather bothering me. I’m really thinking it might just be something environmental, rather than the nail stuff. It’s two days later, and I’ve been taking antihistamines every day… hmmm. So strange and stressful!

    I started doing my nails last year & I was so excited, watched tons of videos & invested a lot of money.
    Then 1 month ago I started developing an allergy.
    I always used Polygel, base coat & top coat from Makartt, never had an issue.
    Then I bought a different brand & after 3rd set of using it, I had blisters, irritated dry skin & even skin opening up.
    I stopped for a while & did my nails only with Markatt again, but now I'm allergic to it as well.
    But it only seems to be the top coats, because I sometimes take breaks when doing my nails.
    I just wore the base coat & the polygel everything was fine, then I put the top coat on the next day....& the allergy came back 😭
    So now I don't know what to do.

    • @Sunnbuzz
      @Sunnbuzz 2 года назад

      Unfortunately, allergies can be gradual, my advice would be to buy a really good top coat lacquer like Seche Vette or try a hema free gel top coat on 2 nails as a test, keep it away from the skin, do not get it on the skin and then wipe it off just don't let it touch your skin but if you are allergic to Hema free then no gel product will work.
      Have you tried poly gel without a base coat, then wait 24hrs and use a top coat that air dries (lacquer), unfortunately, this might be your only solution but remember people had nice nails before gel
