Well that’s cause it has a WAY bigger percent chance of dropping(1%). While normal slimes have a way smaller chance(0.01%). But anyway GJ dude! That 16 years ago caught me off guard lol.
heres a tip: for the wall of flesh fight, TAKE LIGHTNING/FROSTPARK BOOTS towards the end of the fight, he starts increasing speed like crazy and at below 500 health even gos faster than you even with boots. also, if u got an expert world with crimson, create an alternate expert world and hope for corruption. the reason is that the expert drops exclusive to the two, the Brain of Confusion from the crimson Brain of Cthulhu and the Worm Scarf from the corruption Eater of Worlds, have DRASTICALLY different usefulness. you see, the Worm Scarf reduces ALL damage taken by 17%. yeah. 17%. gone. like that. Even ENDGAME builds use it, so it's an absolute necessity. however, the brain of confusion is a lot worse. simply, whenever you hit an enemy, it has a CHANCE of becoming confused. yeah. only a CHANCE. on top of that, theres a list of enemies that are immune to confusion, and bosses cant be confused no matter what, so it's not useful for Plantera, the wall teleporter arena does NOT WORK. her petals go through blocks now and her second phase has tentacles coming from her hooks as well, so hiding behind wallls is useless. instead, excavate a HUGE box in the underground jungle and put platforms across, preferably about 20 blocks from each other. circle the boss for the most part and go back in the other direction when necessary. Skeletron's skull will have a ton of extra defense until you cut down his arms, which is when he'll start shooting homing skulls. to dosge these, just keep on circling around the boss in one direction. also, he cant shoot skulls while hes spinning! Combining the back to back tips, using the Daedulas Stormbow + Holy arrows will demolish the destroyer. just keep flying up back and forth dodging the lasers. or create a platform high in the sky of wood blocks with a platform window to have your arrows pass through. Having trouble with Duke Fishron? beat the golem first, then try to activate martian madness by going to the outer thirds of your world. for a greater chance o encountering a probe, go into the space biome. let it scan you and fly off. then try to farm the martian saucers and hope that you get an anti gravity hook. Yrimir has a video on using the anto gravity hook against the duke which was called something like "8 Duke Fishron is hell" or something. I beat golem in expert, but I still can't beat Duke Fishron. The best I've done is get him to his third phase with a possessed hatchet. Once he starts teleporting behind me, it gets really hard to dodge.
My tip: FISHING If you stock up on crates pre-Hardmode, you can use them to get a full titanium set in mere minutes, and some of the equipment from those crates can be valuable early in Hardmode. Alongside that, the fish that you catch can aid you tremendously, especially the Bass (which can be cooked for the Well Fed buff) and the Armored Cavefish (which is used in the Endurance potion, for a 10% damage reduction)
Nobody ever talks about the fact that you can farm king slime in the underground hollow, crimson, or corruption in order to acquire souls easily once you enter hardmode! Such a useful trick that i've used plenty of times in playthroughs.
I jumped in to the sea when I found it, hoping for some good sea-related things. I got some flippers, and drowned a few seconds after. It was worth it.
@@xyzzy-dv6te also If you have a wire cutter you can cut the wire of the boulder trap so when you step on it's plate then that way the boulder won't come down and do high damage and or killing you in one hit
A few tips from me: 1. At first, when you said about event restrictions, I thought you're going to mention it, but sadly you didn't. This is especially dedicated to these insane people who are up to cruel challenges (like me), an by that I mean hardcore expert. EoC and goblin invasion will never spawn until you have 200 health - so once you reach 180, keep the life crystals you find, until you have 11 of them, so you will ensure having 400 hp when first approaching EoC and especially goblins (you can dodge EoC natural spawn, but not goblins). 2. Another tip especially for hardcore players: when going underground, make sure to hold a pressure plate in your hand - while dart and boulder traps can be spotted and/or avoided if you hear the pressure plate, these damn explosive traps... Pretty sure they'll one shot you no matter what armor do you have. And you can't dodge them, the next tick after stepping on a plate you're dead. 3. There are quite a few OP items that can be aquired earlier than they should. These indeed include Reaver Shark, Meteorite set with Space Gun, Water Bolt, but also enchanted shrine weapons - Enchanted Sword and Arkhalis. Make sure to not miss the 1-block wide holes in the ground when in the outer thirds of the map! If there were some people wandering through the comments, I hope I helped. I think another very useful tip is getting into fishing. You can get crates from fishing which drops some useful loot, but you can keep these crates in storage. After collecting many crates (like a few stacks), open all of them as soon as you get into hardmode and you'll get the hardmode ores and bars really quick
Don’t forget about the shadowflame knife! It’s incredibly helpful if you manage a goblin army spawn early in hardmode. It destroys enemies easily with a whopping amount of damage and high speed. Plus, when it hits an enemy, it can bounce off the enemy and hit another nearby.

Yeah to go with Happy's, Crawltipedes don't attack you while on the ground when in the air they will charge at you faster than you can move, but when you land they just leave you
here's the best strategy for every boss except WoF: 1) Get the Slime Saddle 2) Place 2 training dummies right next to each other 3) place 4 blocks across the top, 4 blocks above 4) activte the slime saddle, jump on top of the dummies. As you keep damaging the training dummies with the saddle, you become invincible in that state, meaning you can't take any damage at all. All you need then is a yoyo to throw around the blocks. Really it could work for WoF as well, but you'd need dummies across the entire thing. You just need to try to not cause any extra damage to the dummies as that can throw you out of the loop
Tip for expert mode, don't bother with pumpkin pie. Cooked Fish is easy to get and doesn't require a boss to be killed, it also provides a use for all those unwanted fish you caught while crate/weapon/tool/quest fishing.
Here's a tip: Always try to dodge. I have no idea how many times dodging won me a boss fight. It's especially useful against the Eye of Cthulu, Skeletron, Wall of Flesh, etc.
Taking your time with both bosses as well as just exploring is definitely beneficial. I happened to get the Vilethorn on my first shadow orb and I loved it. I'm pretty sure it's the first weapon you can get that penetrates walls.
Here's a tip for fighting corrupt and hollow mimics Build a 2 by 10 area and place a door at the bottom of it then place a crafting bench and spawn the mimic on dirt and break the dirt after you spawn the mimic BTW use a ko gun

small tip incase your watching thisand scrolled down to this is to use advanced charater to build the structure of your base and use your new chacter to build the rest
For pre-hardmode imo only 2 things matter: rush meteor armor and farm the bee queen for bee gear and gold. Hardmode you can go many ways, but any character will want to farm golem eventually for great gear and gold. Making a simple arena (just a long stretch of even surface, safe box with honey pool, nurse in clickable range and dryad for armor buff nearby) in the ocean biome for invasions/events is a good idea. Celestial stone and shell stack and basically make any character much stronger regardless of build.
when i started my expert mode world, I found a snowball launcher in a snow chest, and boy was it literally so good fast firerate good damage easy to find and craft ammo
Another good tip! Stock up on jungle resources before hardmode! Make the Witch Doctor's home in the jungle biome so that when hardmode starts, you can get wings for 1 platinum!
I’ve never done a normal mode world because I play with friends and treasure bags are good because you don’t need to share loot but I would definitely recommend making a railway going from one end of the map to the other it’s easy to make and works against all bosses and makes it easy to travel
I have advice for fighting the destroyer. If you're struggling to beat him, make a box in the sky with a platform along the bottom Make a platform out of any block that can't be destroyed by explosions around 25 blocks below Stock up on dynamite for the destroyer fight (about 90 dynamite should be enough.)
"Only 23 enemy's in the entire game are immune to frost Burn!" And you might as well say that the dungeon guardian takes 99 damage per second from frost burn.
After an arena to fight the Wall of Flesh is built, run backwards along it while continuously swinging your pick at the blocks underneath your feet. You will end up with 1 block holes, which your character will not be impeded by nor fall through, and lava will drain (usually/mostly) safely down below when accidently killing lava slimes.
An extra tip: Coin drops are buffed in Expert mode, with enemies yielding 2-3 times the money as they would in normal mode. Put this money to use! Buy more items, roll an item's reforge for the best ones, especially if you're doing a class playthrough. It's especially easy to get lots of money if you farm for normal mimics at the beginning of hardmode, as they yield around 30 gold for each kill.
No offense, but the majority of these tips are only new information to new players, and not very helpful to experienced players who are trying to get into expert mode.
Best expert mode tip. Make a house with a bed and make Nurse move in. Put it nearby the boss arena. And if the fight is starting to get hard use recall or magic mirror to teleport to Nurse and heal up quickly.
This tip will surprisingly help out your Terraria playthrough more than most others: Value mobility above defense. Most of your accessories should be jump bottles, a balloon, and a frog leg (which you get via fishing). The Cobalt Shield is actually not necessary... really... it's only helpful for the Wall of Flesh. This already frees up one slot that you normally use for the shield; slap on a frog leg or something in that spot. And, in Hardmode, once you get wings, don't let go of your blizzard in a balloon accessory; keep using it, along with the frog leg. These will drastically boost your flight. In fact, you can take off your boots that help with running speed if you like, for wings still help with speed boost when you're in midair, and you'll find that there might be more vertical mobility accessories that can take its place. That's all for now!
@@randomnerd4600 The bundle of balloons is a miracle for mobility, so definitely hold onto that. But even with that, you can still use a tsunami in a bottle; there's never too many jumps you can apply in midair. Dash is not necessary if you know how to use the grappling hook and platforms. Boots are, again, not necessary once you get wings. They barely help in combat, wings still make you go that fast in midair, you can use the unicorn mount when traveling on land, and minecart tracks should be established already when you enter hardmode. The rest? Use damage-helping accessories. Remember, the balloon AND frog leg; that is the key here.
Tip: Try to farm WoF for the clockwork assault rifle. This gun paired with an infinite musket pouch can defeat Plantera and the twins in one try, even without potions!
It is also very easy to get cooked fish, which also grants you a "well fed" buff for 20 minutes. All you need is a cooking pot and bass which is very common from fishing.

You can actually conserve honey on the honey dips in boss arenas by digging a 1x1 hole and putting the honey in, then using a hammer to slope the blocks next to the honey to make a shape that looks like “\_/“. You can still sprint through it and get the buff, and it takes less honey to do it.
On my play through on expert mode I got SO stuck on the destroyer. Came back and fought the twins. Killed em'. The practically walked through the bosses up to moon lord
I’m still getting used to expert mode! My dodging abilities really need more practice haha. I can’t even defeat eater of worlds because four hits from its spit attack and I’m dead ;-; I’m thinking of skipping it altogether and go for the reaver shark instead. The pirates spawn like instantly after me and my friend beat the wall of flesh and this is normal and we died a lot after making a base we won but no cutlets 😢 also this was my first time killing him
some tips: keep the loot crates from fishing, and open them in hardmode, they will provide way more loot. and to get them very easy use the fishing glich
I get at least 50-100 fishing crates, 100-500 hardened fossils, and an extractinator. As soon as I kill WoF, I open all the crates and use the extractinator to give me a head start on hardcore ores. I've actually used this trick to obtain a full set of adamantium melee armor and get a adamantium forge as well as a mythril anvil before i even smashed any demon altars. (Doing this prevents Demon altars from being smashed. Smash an altar = one block of hallow and one block of corruption spawns randomly, which is bad)
i have one question. how would you use a yoyo on console? or are they not letting you use yoyos on console (i dont have a ps4 so i don't know) but with how slow the cursor is, it might be hard to control that
To add on to tip 26, make your WoF platform out of obsidian platforms, they’re easy to get by just destroying all the underworld buildings and the lava from the slimes will fall straight through them but don’t destroy the platforms.

My tips : don’t fight plantera’s second form in the underground, simply dig a hole up so you can go to the surface when she almost hit the second form! With wings, balloons, or frog leg, paired with chloropyte bullets and megashark, this is an easy win

Oh, I remember when Eye of Cthulu expert mode really got me.
That dash attack threw me way off guard and scared the ever living existence out of me.
I had to get a full meteor set just for a stupid eyeball! And it (meteor set) was too weak for brain nor worm...
It’s damage is not too bad, I beat it with 200 health and tungsten armor. However, I used a minishark because I suck :(

If you stock up on crates pre-Hardmode, you can use them to get a full titanium set in mere minutes, and some of the equipment from those crates can be valuable early in Hardmode.
Alongside that, the fish that you catch can aid you tremendously, especially the Bass (which can be cooked for the Well Fed buff) and the Armored Cavefish (which is used in the Endurance potion, for a 10% damage reduction)

Nobody ever talks about the fact that you can farm king slime in the underground hollow, crimson, or corruption in order to acquire souls easily once you enter hardmode! Such a useful trick that i've used plenty of times in playthroughs.
I jumped in to the sea when I found it, hoping for some good sea-related things.
I got some flippers, and drowned a few seconds after.
It was worth it.

A few tips from me:
1. At first, when you said about event restrictions, I thought you're going to mention it, but sadly you didn't. This is especially dedicated to these insane people who are up to cruel challenges (like me), an by that I mean hardcore expert. EoC and goblin invasion will never spawn until you have 200 health - so once you reach 180, keep the life crystals you find, until you have 11 of them, so you will ensure having 400 hp when first approaching EoC and especially goblins (you can dodge EoC natural spawn, but not goblins).
2. Another tip especially for hardcore players: when going underground, make sure to hold a pressure plate in your hand - while dart and boulder traps can be spotted and/or avoided if you hear the pressure plate, these damn explosive traps... Pretty sure they'll one shot you no matter what armor do you have. And you can't dodge them, the next tick after stepping on a plate you're dead.
3. There are quite a few OP items that can be aquired earlier than they should. These indeed include Reaver Shark, Meteorite set with Space Gun, Water Bolt, but also enchanted shrine weapons - Enchanted Sword and Arkhalis. Make sure to not miss the 1-block wide holes in the ground when in the outer thirds of the map!

I think another very useful tip is getting into fishing. You can get crates from fishing which drops some useful loot, but you can keep these crates in storage. After collecting many crates (like a few stacks), open all of them as soon as you get into hardmode and you'll get the hardmode ores and bars really quick

Don’t forget about the shadowflame knife! It’s incredibly helpful if you manage a goblin army spawn early in hardmode. It destroys enemies easily with a whopping amount of damage and high speed. Plus, when it hits an enemy, it can bounce off the enemy and hit another nearby.

here's the best strategy for every boss except WoF:
1) Get the Slime Saddle
2) Place 2 training dummies right next to each other
3) place 4 blocks across the top, 4 blocks above
4) activte the slime saddle, jump on top of the dummies.
As you keep damaging the training dummies with the saddle, you become invincible in that state, meaning you can't take any damage at all. All you need then is a yoyo to throw around the blocks. Really it could work for WoF as well, but you'd need dummies across the entire thing. You just need to try to not cause any extra damage to the dummies as that can throw you out of the loop
HAPPY I'VE BEATEN EXPERT MODE YOYO ON PS4! THE FISRT TIME EVER DOING EXPERT MODE!
Tip for expert mode, don't bother with pumpkin pie. Cooked Fish is easy to get and doesn't require a boss to be killed, it also provides a use for all those unwanted fish you caught while crate/weapon/tool/quest fishing.
Here's a tip:
Always try to dodge. I have no idea how many times dodging won me a boss fight. It's especially useful against the Eye of Cthulu, Skeletron, Wall of Flesh, etc.
Taking your time with both bosses as well as just exploring is definitely beneficial. I happened to get the Vilethorn on my first shadow orb and I loved it. I'm pretty sure it's the first weapon you can get that penetrates walls.

Build a 2 by 10 area and place a door at the bottom of it then place a crafting bench and spawn the mimic on dirt and break the dirt after you spawn the mimic BTW use a ko gun

For pre-hardmode imo only 2 things matter: rush meteor armor and farm the bee queen for bee gear and gold. Hardmode you can go many ways, but any character will want to farm golem eventually for great gear and gold. Making a simple arena (just a long stretch of even surface, safe box with honey pool, nurse in clickable range and dryad for armor buff nearby) in the ocean biome for invasions/events is a good idea. Celestial stone and shell stack and basically make any character much stronger regardless of build.

I have advice for fighting the destroyer.
If you're struggling to beat him, make a box in the sky with a platform along the bottom
Make a platform out of any block that can't be destroyed by explosions around 25 blocks below
Stock up on dynamite for the destroyer fight (about 90 dynamite should be enough.)
"Only 23 enemy's in the entire game are immune to frost Burn!"
And you might as well say that the dungeon guardian takes 99 damage per second from frost burn.
After an arena to fight the Wall of Flesh is built, run backwards along it while continuously swinging your pick at the blocks underneath your feet. You will end up with 1 block holes, which your character will not be impeded by nor fall through, and lava will drain (usually/mostly) safely down below when accidently killing lava slimes.

An extra tip:
Coin drops are buffed in Expert mode, with enemies yielding 2-3 times the money as they would in normal mode. Put this money to use! Buy more items, roll an item's reforge for the best ones, especially if you're doing a class playthrough.
It's especially easy to get lots of money if you farm for normal mimics at the beginning of hardmode, as they yield around 30 gold for each kill.
No offense, but the majority of these tips are only new information to new players, and not very helpful to experienced players who are trying to get into expert mode.
just focus on movement and damage over lifesteal/tankiness. Tanking hits won't matter if tanking it still makes you take 300 damage.

Best expert mode tip. Make a house with a bed and make Nurse move in. Put it nearby the boss arena.

This tip will surprisingly help out your Terraria playthrough more than most others:
Value mobility above defense. Most of your accessories should be jump bottles, a balloon, and a frog leg (which you get via fishing).
The Cobalt Shield is actually not necessary... really... it's only helpful for the Wall of Flesh.
This already frees up one slot that you normally use for the shield; slap on a frog leg or something in that spot.
And, in Hardmode, once you get wings, don't let go of your blizzard in a balloon accessory; keep using it, along with the frog leg. These will drastically boost your flight. In fact, you can take off your boots that help with running speed if you like, for wings still help with speed boost when you're in midair, and you'll find that there might be more vertical mobility accessories that can take its place.

@@randomnerd4600 The bundle of balloons is a miracle for mobility, so definitely hold onto that.
But even with that, you can still use a tsunami in a bottle; there's never too many jumps you can apply in midair.
Dash is not necessary if you know how to use the grappling hook and platforms.
Boots are, again, not necessary once you get wings. They barely help in combat, wings still make you go that fast in midair, you can use the unicorn mount when traveling on land, and minecart tracks should be established already when you enter hardmode.
The rest? Use damage-helping accessories.
Remember, the balloon AND frog leg; that is the key here.

Tip: Try to farm WoF for the clockwork assault rifle. This gun paired with an infinite musket pouch can defeat Plantera and the twins in one try, even without potions!
I'd suggest getting some better bullets though, the endless pouch is in case you run out of ammo in an intense fight

It is also very easy to get cooked fish, which also grants you a "well fed" buff for 20 minutes. All you need is a cooking pot and bass which is very common from fishing.

You can actually conserve honey on the honey dips in boss arenas by digging a 1x1 hole and putting the honey in, then using a hammer to slope the blocks next to the honey to make a shape that looks like “\_/“. You can still sprint through it and get the buff, and it takes less honey to do it.
Those aren't really tips. You just explained how the expert mode works.

I can’t even defeat eater of worlds because four hits from its spit attack and I’m dead ;-; I’m thinking of skipping it altogether and go for the reaver shark instead. I get at least 50-100 fishing crates, 100-500 hardened fossils, and an extractinator. As soon as I kill WoF, I open all the crates and use the extractinator to give me a head start on hardcore ores. I've actually used this trick to obtain a full set of adamantium melee armor and get a adamantium forge as well as a mythril anvil before i even smashed any demon altars. (Doing this prevents Demon altars from being smashed.
Smash an altar = one block of hallow and one block of corruption spawns randomly, which is bad)
i have one question. how would you use a yoyo on console? or are they not letting you use yoyos on console (i dont have a ps4 so i don't know) but with how slow the cursor is, it might be hard to control that

To add on to tip 26, make your WoF platform out of obsidian platforms, they’re easy to get by just destroying all the underworld buildings and the lava from the slimes will fall straight through them but don’t destroy the platforms.

My tips : don’t fight plantera’s second form in the underground, simply dig a hole up so you can go to the surface when she almost hit the second form! With wings, balloons, or frog leg, paired with chloropyte bullets and megashark, this is an easy win
