Yep, I just discovered both videos. Also, the hack about the torches and biome chest is better (easier to notice on full map) if you putt the torches with spaces between them.... I was literally doing that yesterday and it works really well just with a dozen of them. Anyway, thank you. The one on the other video about the damage of minions not changing after switching accessories I didn't knew about and I use them all the time.

The only problem with this one is if it is slime raining, slimes can drop from the sky on to you, and if you don't have something like the Cobalt Shield (Which I don't expect you to have) you can fall off into the King Slime and die.
The solution, put platform/blocks above. He doesn't mention this in the video, but it's my solution.
Slime king can pass trough platforms, blocks can be safer :)
You can also place a block at the tip of the rope and grapplehook it. This prevents all knockback.
Build a roof of wooden blocks above the rope, maybe five blocks wide. Slimes that fall on you will be stopped by the roof, then jump off.
No, king slime would then have teleported up, and then be able to teleport under the blocks and kill you.

also I found out that copper coin light thing when I tried speedrunning, it works amazingly well (not that it works anymore in 1.4...)

I'd like to note: Glass also works REALLY well for marking things, as it's default color is strangely a bright white, meaning if you're not in a snow biome, it's EXTREMELY visible on the mini-map. I usually use a glass ring around my safe areas to kind of denote where biomes can and can't spread or where to not fight bosses at. You can simply create a small world and throw a stack or 2 of bombs at it's desert to get enough sand to create full stacks of 999 glass to supply it, and unlike torches, there's nothing in-game even remotely close to the color of glass on the mini-map outside of snow biomes.
when you talked about the jungle chest I thought you were going to tell us how to open it without having to get the jungle key... :(

Ezel what if you were to drop the guide voodoo doll down a hellevator into lava and set your spawn down there and use that too look all the way to the left before the voodoo doll falls into the lava. Will the WOF spawn further to your left then or will it spawn normally? #Mythbusters
i don't know if it works vertically but I've a feeling that the wall of flesh will appear in hell and the player will die because they're away from the boss. Not sure though, never tested that
I mean to make a spawn point in hell and drop the doll from the surface, but since you got the spawn point in hell you get down there faster than the doll. So you got time to use the hoik to look to the sides and see if the WOF spawns where you are viewing or right in front of your character

New Terraria idea: Kinetic powers!
Using different weapons you can lift enemies and NPCs, bigger chunks of blocks, liquids, incoming projectiles turn off gravity, control items out of reach,... it would use Mana to work.
Oh you need 1 more MP! Try using "1mp" oh all ur acc slots are full! try beating wall of s**t to get 99999 acc slots
And it has 999999 hp regeneren so you must kill it with this... Oh not enought MP!

For the first one, when it isn't working, it's because your head is hitting the top block. You need to be low enough down on the rope so that your head goes underneath the top block and you slide up the bottom stair.

8:32 Just wanted to point out that you only need to make the house 11 blocks tall and you only need 2 rows of background walls. Also you can use wooden platforms for the flooring as long as there is at least 1 solid block.
Imagine like in a pvp-enabled large server you have like 2 designated human turrets that just sit on the auto crab box and use the Last Prism

The very first time I came across one of those chest in the dungeon I marked it with torches. I didn't even need to think about it, I just knew already that torches show up on the map. I have tons of stuff you might call life hacks. XD

I use to just... blow up the grond under it. But everything underground is brown so it barely worked.
+TheToastedWaffle: I normally place torches in an "X" shape to mark them.
Well when you can literally make a lake out of freakin honey, sometimes you have to clarify these things
For the biome chests marking, I always do a diamond shape in checkers pattern with torches a couple blocks above chest. it is SO easy to see in the map

I'd been thinking about trying to get good at this game, and now I have a channel to keep looking up for tutorials.
If you use your magic/ice mirror/cell phone in build mode and immediately exit while holding a fishing rod, it uses the rod like seven times at once and you can catch a lot of stuff.

Another thing I like to do to make those dungeon biome chests easier to get is dig quick routes to them pre hard mode then in hardmode you can reach them without worrying about going through the dungeon.

Literally marking dungeon chests, one of your last hacks you showed, was the only thing I discovered by myself, but everything else discusses was stuff I knew already! Still though, thanks a bunch!
Likewise, I witnessed the minimalist house you showed us from an actual speed runner who built a complex in their world on an Expert Mode run that was completed in 1:23:00 or something close to that.

Chippy! With the water trick I have a extra boost! Press tab until you go into the transparent map thingy and zoom in as much as you can and now the map masks over the blocks and you can see light!

using glitches is actually considered as cheating... soo actually u are cheater chippy :/
this rule works only in multiplayer pvp games imo
Many glitches in this game have been intentionally left in by the developers, so they're more like features now, anyways.
Glitches are not really cheats because cheats (in most games) is using some sort of third party program to gain small to huge advantages over players but using glitches is more of exploiting the game because you're not actually using any third party program so yeah.

you can build a tiny box of wood and a little hole from where you can launch your line, place a sentry on top of it and also use the stardust dragon, that works very well and can save you a lot of time.

That map hack is pretty cool, still works. Though, instead of just "patching out the glitch", I wish the devs would just insert something into the game, like a consumable 'map fragment' or something, where it permanently illuminates a small section of the map, like a screen-size or half that. The map is really big and most of it stays in darkness for most of the game.
I usually spell out the chest letter in torches so I know which is a biome chest. J, I, C, H are pretty easy reference torch layouts for map viewing later.
The tower house thing is soooooo useful it'll save me a lot of time in the future and it works
The Slime King is the only boss damaged by lava so i highly recomend you use a pool of lava with the rope trick
Yes you will definitely need that king slime tip to defeat it with max health and a mewmere
