- This video is me building an Urn for my Uncle that passed away recently. This is made from Cherry, Black Walnut and Maple Burl. It was a great honor to be able to do this for my Uncle, while also taking away one thing for my Aunt and Cousin to worry about. You will be missed, Uncle Mike.

Thanks for sharing. I'm in the process of coming up with a plan to build one of these for my mom, and like you I want it to be simple but my best work for her. She hasn't passed yet, but we are getting close to that and I wanted to be able to make one while taking my time. Your work is so good looking....great job. You uncle would be happy and proud!

That's a beautiful project and a beautiful thing you did there for your Aunt and your cousins...sorry for your family's loss. When I'm struggling with using a square to see if my corners are good I sometimes measure the diagonals...if they are the same...you are square. God bless y'all.
