  • This past weekend we celebrated my Dad’s life and all spent time reminiscing with loved ones. I feel super blessed to have had a father that was involved in my life and encouraged me to focus more on my family than anything else in my life.
Fishing, golf & family dinners will never be the same, but will always be filled with memories of you

My father in law asked me to make him an urn, wants it from local wood, and not heavily decorative. Thank you for this.

Wonderful way to show your love for your father, I don’t know what comes after for our loved ones but for those of us left behind it is good to take time and remember them while putting just a little love in our hands while crafting Your video certainly touched me. Thank you for sharing

Nice build and a great way to honour your father and the memories... It’s been 31 yrs since my dad passed and theres still not a single day that I don’t think of him or, actually say something to my son thats the exact same (corny dad joke?) thing that he said to me. Another BC boy???

I'm sorry for your loss, sir. Our gain, as it happens, is in getting a peek into the man who crafted such a heartfelt tribute to his dad. He was awfully proud of you, I suspect. Thank you for sharing. Mike

New to your channel. I came across this video and it really hit home. I lost my father in February of last year. I'm sorry for your loss. I love that you made his memorial box and it turned out very nice. I am in the process of trying to get a wood shop up and going with some of my dads old wood working tools. It's starting to come together. I haven't actually made anything yet though. A lot of the tools were his and he had not used them for over 10 years so some cleaning and TLC is needed but the tools all turn on. But again seeing this is an inspiration to keep pushing forward. Thank you for sharing.

Kris, my sincere condolences for your loss. It's never easy to lose a parent, no matter how old we are. Both of my parents died in their mid 80's and I'm grateful they were alive to enjoy the company of their grandchildren and their great-grandchildren. They watched these kids grow into adults and to have children of their own. Your children are lucky to have had them in their lives to learn from and enjoy family stories from too. God bless you and your family.

Thanks you. It’s been a tough journey but doing stuff like this video has been a huge part of healing. The lake in the background is where I’ve spent a majority of my summers with my parents and fishing with my day.

@@furthernorthfab I can empathize with you. I lost my partner in Sept. 2016 and in December of 2016 I lost my Mom. I still haven't touched her things or my Moms that I took from her house. I'm slowly getting rid of clothes, but it's slow. All in time.
