Every time I watch this video I pick up another useful tip... My woodworking skills have increased exponentially since I subscribes to your channel. I took one of my boxes inspired by this video to an interview at Glasgow Clyde College for their string instrument making course... Been offered a place... Thanks Adrian I owe you.
That perfect pairing of the music and router whine from 5:12 is truly satisfying. It’s like that sound was made for the music. Beautiful video and craftsmanship, Adrian!
Super video. Beautiful boxes and excellent workmanship. The contrasting woods really made these boxes pop. Thanks for sharing your ideas and obvious skills. Best wishes.
Thanks Adrian this is an excellent video ...really like the way you cut the box / lid joint. I don't know how many boxes I've destroyed trying to cut all the way through on a table saw with wedges to support the last cut. Can't wait to try out your method...Thanks
Beautiful work- I could watch you creating your art anytime! That weird shaped saw is something I've never seen before, and the way you hand tool each box is inspiring. Thank you for sharing this process with us! Instant subscriber & bell tapper!
Thanks! That s a japanesw saw called azebiki, intended for cutting grooves, long slots etc, you can start the cut from the middle of the board, maybe is somehow similar to the western veneer saw
Thanks for sharing Adrian, your work is for real wonderful and inspiring. You are a great craftsman, thank you again. A dumb question, which is the bite you use in the router for making the holes in the corners?
I have a bit like this for cutting t-molding slots for arcade machines. For the U.S. viewers, 1.6mm is similar to 1/16". The slot cutting head requires an arbor. Great video!
Very nice work. Would be interested in seeing more details regarding your shooting board set up for accurate 45 degree miters. Better than a miter box?
Wonderful. This is now my favorite box-making video on YT. Thank you. I love your use of slot cutting router bits to make corner splines and to part off the box tops. It seems much safer than using the table saw. Is that a 1/8" slot cutting router bit that you used, please? What make/brand? Thank you.
Really enjoying your videos. I looked for the mini circular saw router bit (used to start the cut of the box lids) in your tools list, but couldn’t find it. Can you please share the brand?
Beautiful work as always! Not sure what those loud spinny things are in the video though...! As others said already, great editing too. You're my hand tool inspiration, by the way.
Love the video. Is that spline jig just 2x4s sandwiched and 45d at the end? I like the idea using the router and a slot cutter to open the box and do the splines.
Hey Adrian, nice build! If you see this comment, could you tell me if you have any plans to that mitre shooting board or a video to it? Very much appreciated, thanks!
Beautiful, beautiful work. I'm fairly new to woodworking and the video is so helpful. Can you share what router bit you used yo cut off the lid? Thank you!
Fabulous build! As a newby, can you help me to understand how you measure the inside pieces to help secure the top (8:18) And really appreciate any advice, thank you!

4 yrs old and somehow I have missed this ,this video is a gem ! Thanks for spilling your guts !
Cheers
I like this video. Slow, simple and to the point. I think it is a great instructional video as is.
I love the video style - great music and visual storytelling without words and distraction. And beautiful work!
Beautiful boxes with a touch of class with the wood shavings in each box
I've never considered tapering the sides of a box like that - very cool!
So aesthetically pleasing - not just your work, but also the video production. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the feedback!
Those are some beautiful looking boxes. Your workmanship is top notch.
Really cool use of the slot cutting bit. Great assortment of boxes you've created!
Thank you!

Beautiful video and craftsmanship, Adrian!
Thanks! Usually the best music/action matches are not intended, they just happen when I put them toghter😀 this scene was one
I've been re-watching all your old videos waiting for a new one and it's my lucky day.

Love the work of AP....
Beautiful boxes, use as many N’s in Walnut as you like when they come out that nice 👍🏻
:)) Thank you!
I have pieces cut for about 200 boxes. I need to build a 45 degree shooting board to finish them. These are spectacular!
Great work as usual I really enjoy the hand tool segments.
Thank you!
Adrian, this was such a satisfying video to watch! Thank you!
Thank you very much for watching!
Great video with lots of interesting small box designs. Thank you!
Thanks Adrian this is an excellent video ...really like the way you cut the box / lid joint. I don't know how many boxes I've destroyed trying to cut all the way through on a table saw with wedges to support the last cut. Can't wait to try out your method...Thanks
So elegant, simple and beautiful!
Exceptional! I wonder what in the world is thinking somebody who dislikes such work.
A wonderful set of boxes! Bravo Adrian!
Thank you Francesco!
LONG TIME NO SEE! Missed seeing your work.
That's the safest looking spline jig I've seen.
Thanks Melinda!
Yes, I had that blade for 3 years maybe, and just now decided to make a quick jig to make those splines
@@AdrianPreda Can you tell me what blade that is ? Thanks
Please, what is the router bit you use to open the box? Nice work. 👍
Wonderful video and terrific work, would love to watch more

Thanks Joe!
9:19 my favorite! Very inspiring!!
Nice work. Great video too.
Stunning! ❤
The DEA won't know which box to look in first!!! This was very therapeutic, thank you.
Beautiful boxes and technique. I really like how you do the splines with the slot cutter but it’s too bad it’s limited by box height
Thanks! Yeap, something like 3cm height will allow, so box height double of that
another amazing and inspiring video - thank you
Thanks!

Thanks Stefan! I normally misstype wallnut instead of walnut :))
These are just lovely
Nice work!
I have an irrational love for the lil triangular mouse finish sanders... Thank you for a beautiful video and projects :)
Yes, is a very versatile sander for little projects.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing Adrian, your work is for real wonderful and inspiring. You are a great craftsman, thank you again.
A dumb question, which is the bite you use in the router for making the holes in the corners?
Thanks Ricardo! It's a Klein 1.6mm, don't remember the code. I will post these days on my IG some pics and vids with the whole setup

Lovely boxes.
Very nice work. Would be interested in seeing more details regarding your shooting board set up for accurate 45 degree miters. Better than a miter box?
Thanks! I want to remake my shootings boards cause they are very worn out and probably I will do a video too
I Always enjoy your Videos, thx a lot 4 sharing ✌️

Thank you very much! Yeap, sometimes I do put some kW into wood😀
Wow! Beautiful!
Nice projects, on the lid with the four little corner blocks how do you get them in the correct location?
Great work on the boxes and on the filming and editing, new subscriber.
Thank you very much!
Love the video. Is that spline jig just 2x4s sandwiched and 45d at the end?
I like the idea using the router and a slot cutter to open the box and do the splines.
You do exquisite work , please post the type of router bit you use for separating top. Never seen it do that way.
1.6mm slot cutter from Klein, 8mm shaft. you find them separate, the arbor and the blade.
Thank you!
Extremely elegant work:)
Thank you!
This is just next level.
They're all so pretty :)
Thank you!
Great job!
Thank you!
Glad to see you’re back. I’ve been waiting for so long a new video! Great work!

Parabens pelo seu trabalho! Sempre fico na expectativa de receber alugm vídeo de seus trabalhos que acho magnifico. Sucesso, Abraço!
Obrigado Alberto!
I just discovered your channel and love it. How do you get precise and repeatable box walls when planing your miters on your shooting board?
Thanks! Make one then trim the others to this first. If you go to much with one of them, repeat again to all with this one as reference😀
Wow Adrian!!
Lovely!
Thank you!
