    It is really weird that this amazing tutorial gets no feedback. I guess it's not fancy enough. I don't mind, I appreciate the sober precision =)

      thank you, glad its been useful :) its tough to get feed back on tutorials like this as its probably not what most artists want to learn and relies quite a lot on shares.
      but it found its way to you and thank you for mentioning it :)

      @@VFXTutors I'm glad too. Thanks a lot for the effort!
      I would like to ask a question about the workflow for face movements, let's say talking, where the mesh is supposed to deform. Is it possible/necessary to group primitives for the mesh to hold up?

    • @VFXTutors
      @VFXTutors  3 года назад

      for face movements you would need a custom face rig, and probably a lot of tracking points to get them accurate.
      but you can also achieve this with blend shapes, it takes a long time to make them but can be quite good

    Amazing tutorial. I was trying to learn how to use the 3d projection on 3D Equalizer, and together with the tesseract tutorial, I was able to solve a couple of complicated shots on a recent project. Thanks

    So I'm new to this part of matchmove. This software helps reconstruct the scene in 3D which can then be used to add shadows from 3D objects later added?

    • @VFXTutors
      @VFXTutors  2 года назад

      hey, so matchmove creates the cg camera that copies the movment of the camera that was used to film, you would still have to build the 3d to work with it, it means when you add vfx to some footage it sits in the shot without slipping

    How to track flat shots without lineup geometry. In all tutorials they have model to lineup. How this model is made? Can I track shot without model? How did you know point position? Measure each point? Create reference shots?

    • @VFXTutors
      @VFXTutors  2 года назад

      Yes you can track these shots with out the geometry, but it’s more accurate with geometry,
      This is an industry method of matchmove so I can be a bit tricky at first but worth learning,
      The set was made from phogrammetry and measuring the set, I have lots of tutorials on this here :)

    I have watching your tutorials and all are nice... my question is that in every shot you are importing geometry, how did you build the geometry before bringing that into shot?
    my second question is If we want to build geometry from the shot itself considering that we do not have any details of Focal Length, film back, camera etc? without all info how to build geometry out of it ??

    Hello. Please tell me, you shoot on bmpcc 4k and as I understand it, you use speedbuster. How do you factor it into the impact in 3d equalizer?

    • @VFXTutors
      @VFXTutors  3 года назад +1

      hey, I don't use a speed booster, I have the old 4kProduction with the EF mount, I just use my canon lenses, but i will always use the camera sensor size in 3de.
      Iv not used the speed-booster before, but id expect you would need lens grids for the extra distortion added.
      you would get the full use of a lens as well, but its one of those things you'd have to test, but i would always start with the data you know at first
      hope that helps?

    I want to know when I use object and mocap.
    Thanks!

    • @VFXTutors
      @VFXTutors  3 года назад +2

      for any moving objects you'll need to use an object group after you have done a camera solve.
      so my first point group is for the camera then the object group solved the movements.
      I can try and do a tutorial for the mocap section if that helps:) might take a while to prepare and film though
