    Thanks so much for the tutorials! Just bought the pack and its helping so much! Personal Learning edition doesnt make it easy to learn though! when they limit your toolset haha, any ways you can think of to get around this. I start at ILM on the 22nd and want to overprepare...

      Hey mark, no worries and congratulations on starting at ILM!
      The best way to get round this problem is probably to buy 1 week subscription of 3de,
      It’s not that expensive if you plan to get it done in a week and you can cancel the subscription at any time
      Hope that helps?

      @@VFXTutors thank you yes! I was actually contemplating getting 1 week of subscription and just pumping out the videos! I might just do that, thanks so much, super helpful videos. And cheers! Can’t wait to start! :)

      yeah its much easier to buy a 1 week sub and everything will work, I wish other companies made subscriptions on a weekly basis.
      which ILM are you going to? maybe we will end up working together

    Hi there Josh! thank you so much for these tutorials. I really appreciate it! I just have a question about 3de. Could you please explain the difference between Calc / triangulated points. I just guessed the latter is not calculated, but I just thought that if I could understand why and how, it would be better. Thank you so much again! :)

      if your track points are sliding somewhere , it will appear as triangulated when you solve the camera (Alt+C)

      hey, so i mostly create my geo from scans, ill take a lot of photos then process them in metashape, after that i will make a low res proxy geo so its easier to work with
      I have tutorials on how to do all this here

    How did you get the texture for scan? Please reply Thank you

    Hi Josh,what is overscan?

    • @VFXTutors
      @VFXTutors  3 года назад +1

      Hey, overscan is where you compensate for distortion, sometimes you can have a lot of distortion and it will exceed the resolution of the footage as is stretched out,
      Overscan adds extra resolution so when you reapply the distortion to the cg it covers outside the original resolution.
      I will make a tutorial on this as it’s hard to explain, but if you see it you will know :)

    Do not use music sample on such a long video, it’s boring and useless on a tutorial! You should know that!
