nice job i wish i could understand matchmove like you
Thank you! But I still have more to learn :)
I don’t understand any of this but I love it!!!! :D
Nice job! How did you do the rotomation of the gym girl?
Thanks! For the rotomation project, I started by tracking the movement of the camera in SynthEyes to produce a 3D version of the camera. Then, I imported that camera into Maya, and placed primitives to match the ground plane and walls. Lastly, I imported the rig, and used it to rotoscope the movement of the girl. I started with the extreme poses, then the breakdown poses, and then the in between poses.
I followed this tutorial from VFX Tutors: ruclips.net/video/-DMOPrfyEBc/видео.htmlsi=gaAIhVU4LsmthM2o . This video is Part 3, but I also watched Part 4 and Part 5 of the series.
I hope this helps! :)
where did you get the rigged character
Hi! I got the rigged character from the VFXTutors Gumroad site. This is the link for the rig: vfxtutors.gumroad.com/l/dqhVH?layout=profile
@VFXTutors makes great tutorials, and he uses the rig in this rotomation lesson. I highly recommend if you're interested! ruclips.net/video/-DMOPrfyEBc/видео.html
When doing matchmove, is the proxy environment already available or do you create your own?
Hi! For all of the projects in my reel, I created the proxy environments in Maya. The only exception to this is the second project (starting at 0:13), where I used both a GoogleMaps LiDAR scan of the same village for the background, and also modelled a few buildings in the foreground.
Hmm.. Do you create the proxy just by the footage only.? Do you have a reference video tutorial to make proxy?
@@Ferdimultimedia I create the proxy environments by using the reference footage in combination with those bright green cones you see in each project. The green cones are points that I tracked in software like Syntheyes, 3DEqualizer, or PFTrack. There, you can calculate the XYZ location of each point, which I use to help create the 3D environment around them.
This tutorial is great for a basic environment: ruclips.net/video/n71rjKxsehI/видео.htmlsi=NzGPKUOhsCnIZ6vN . There are also a lot of other RUclips channels like VFX Tutors and vfxexpert that teach matchmove and VFX. I hope this helps!
@@danielmoscati i see.. Oke thankyou
@@danielmoscati oh 1 more question.. How about lens grid.?
