The bosch 044 is now discontinued, I think it's part number was 0580254044. Our latest build used sytec's 044 equivalent that fitted in this swirl pot too. Thanks for watching
I've done about 10 20v conversions so its easy to recognise where everything should go now. I can't remember the hours on this one (filmed summer last year 🤦♂️) but all the trouble shooting does add quick!

Great work, some interesting problems to solve. Would you fancy doing a 1.8T 20v MK2 transplant from start to finish If I got a shell and donor car?
Yes we have done many conversions from scratch too and we always recommend getting a full donor to see and hear it running.

It's a universal top mounted one, we do have a couple, I bought a batch

It was one of the generic ones off ebay. I'd you search 044 swirl pot loads come up, all shapes and sizes
Is that boost pipe an off the shelp option or is it custom?
I'm not sure to be honest, the customer supplied it.

Yes the classic mk2 quack! Very common on these, a new starter solves it.

I dont know temps off hand but a decent alloy mk2 rad should be able to cope with a 20vt.
@@SuperRon How can you bleed your 1.8t the best?
As long as everything is piped up correctly the 1.8t has no problem bleeding. Just fill it up and let it get up to temperature 👍
