I'm going to say this about Namor if he fought Aquamar it would be a fight for a while at one point near The End of the fight, he be dead Aquaman would be to much for him.
i like how this isn't a professional fight between two skilled fighters, this is basically two people who have deceased parents going all out against each other in a personal matter, especially when they connected really well in Talokan.
True although after watching I realised it was more brain vs brawn namor was obviously more skilled as he delivers more hits the only thing that gives shuri an edge is namor is weakend due to the heat and shuri has the suit and the plant
I love straight brawls like this fight in Marvel, another one I really liked was Spider-Man vs Green Goblin both apartment and final fight, they feel so brutal and the punches really hold a lot of weight
The fact that they could make a guy who flies around with tiny little fluttering hummingbird wings on his ankles intimidating says a lot for how good this movie actually was.
This movie doesn't get spoken of enough. For all the middling Marvel movies this one was solid. This fight especially was outright better than the one from the end of the first.

0:59 I love that quick shot of her sensing danger before him tackling her in the air. Its slightly funny but also shows her enhanced reflexes. Spiderman would have dodged the attack because his senses are different where the panthers senses are just more enhanced so they can sense the attack but can’t always move fast enough where spidermans is more instinctual where he doesn’t use his five senses but precognition muscle memory or someshit
So after rewatching, I'm almost positive her suit has some sort of built in healing protocols, paired with enhanced healing from the new heart shaped herb powers as it has traces of the tolocan herb in it that's how she survived that spear thru the stomach
The only time I likw comic namor more is when Hickman is writing him, and even then I sometimes flipflop. Like, comic namor in HoX and Giant Size: Magneto is better but comic namor when he starts the cabal pre-secret wars is worse
This is one of the most Hardcore Marvel Fights I've seen. The physical strenghth and emotion of struggle is all there and I LOVE IT. A big bonus for the soundtrack as well. When Marvel has their 1 v 1 fights? They go PEAK Levels. We need more of this!
Shuri did so good in this, I’m so proud of her. Namor is insanely powerful so the fact that she was able to beat him when they were both in weakened states and she had ZERO experience in combat fighting like this says a lot. She was able to use her brains and muster up enough strength to beat him. I love these two, it was a good dynamic between them.
well i wouldn't say she had zero experience in combat, but in terms of fighting as black panther, then yes. i'm very glad she used her brains in this fight, that's also an important weapon you can use in battles, because if she didn't, then she would've died.

Yeah I really like it, I just hope Wakanda does better against Talokan in the future. My one grip with this movie is that Wakanda just gets stomped the whole time, when they while they were both pretty evenly matched in the comics.

I’m a local Marvel hater myself but this movie was really good. This was by far the most brutal Marvel fight scene I have seen (not counting 15 or R rated like Deadpool of course), shit was realistic and tense as well. Sucks Quantumania didn’t follow up with good shit like this

2:55 something I hated about Marvel is their reluctancy to show blood. Shuri literally has been impaled and pulls herself off the spear and it’s bone dry. Same with when Sylvie stabbed Kang in Loki or when Steve was shot in What If…? Fortunately there has been a lot more blood in Secret Invasion and I hope this continues to make it more realistic.

I think people are reading the fight wrong. The MCU is capable of doing battle cinematography where women look all powerful. If the fight looked unimpressive, it’s because it’s showing how difficult it is for her to win. I agree that it could have mixed results, but they didn’t have her doing a bunch of jet, Li or Jackie Chan moves. She barely gets in a combo. They didn’t Captain Marvel her. I think they were realistic with her. They weren’t realistic with him.

Easily one of the best, and by far the most brutal, fights in MCU history. Both physically and emotionally The thing is is that I personally don’t feel sorry for Namor. Yeah he’s got damage, but he’s already let his grief consume him. He had no real defense against attacking Wakanda: he was deliberately trying to force them into a war from the beginning Shuri is justifiably furious with him, and I wanted her to beat his ass. But she chose compassion in the end despite her grief, despite you not truly knowing what she was gonna do in the final moment It’s why this movie is great, and why Shuri is ultimately still a hero

Why no one talks about how nakia killed a talokan, which started the whole eye for an eye. Namor is justified for attacking the wankada, as they are the one that spilled the first blood on Talokan. Also Namor could have destroyed Wakanda anytime.

I'm actually... Not very impressed by the fight scenes in this one. Like yeah, they're brawling and that can be done well, I'm not expecting high-level martial arts. But this just felt...less visceral somehow. Plus the scene when Okoye was fighting the Talokan warrior looked really choppy...? Not sure if it's just the way the video was uploaded but. Not as striking as others in the MCU
Vengeance so primitive, its can strike your heart and full your head with enough rage to shatter your mind, but its like Vision said "What is grief if not love persevering?" And in the end it was Shuri's compassion and respect for Namor's people that allow her to let go of her vengeance, to save her people from getting consumed with in her grief.
Ya know, say what you will about MCU movies, but more than a few of their fights are more brutal than anything you'd see with Vin, Dwayne Johnson or Jason Statham
I love the film but my one complaint is the ending of the battle was a bit of a letdown on top of the cheesy line. I wish she had flipped over him and then down some sort of kick to knock him flying backwards into the oncoming flames as she hit the button. She could’ve said “Wakanda Forever” as well during that. The phrase plus arm cross was just a little abrupt and cheesy. Love the soundtrack too.
I don’t know whose idea it was for them to switch back and forth from widescreen to full screen so many times, I get that it’s to achieve different feels for each sequence but it’s just too damn jarring the way it keeps happening, like a few times ago I get it but this was ridiculous. Really takes you out of it
How did Namor stab her? The last BP film shown that the suit was practically invulnerable even to other vibranium weapons. The last movie they had to use some sort of sonic frequency to deactivate some of the suit for an opening. But here he just stabs her and that’s enough to pierce the suit? Also we know she’s not getting hurt either.

The thing is is that I personally don’t feel sorry for Namor. Yeah he’s got damage, but he’s already let his grief consume him. He had no real defense against attacking Wakanda: he was deliberately trying to force them into a war from the beginning
Shuri is justifiably furious with him, and I wanted her to beat his ass. But she chose compassion in the end despite her grief, despite you not truly knowing what she was gonna do in the final moment
It’s why this movie is great, and why Shuri is ultimately still a hero

Why no one talks about how nakia killed a talokan, which started the whole eye for an eye. Namor is justified for attacking the wankada, as they are the one that spilled the first blood on Talokan. Also Namor could have destroyed Wakanda anytime.

He showed up to Wakanda first and basically said "Solve our problem for us or it's war". Talokan isn't exactly innocent.

I'm actually... Not very impressed by the fight scenes in this one. Like yeah, they're brawling and that can be done well, I'm not expecting high-level martial arts. But this just felt...less visceral somehow. Plus the scene when Okoye was fighting the Talokan warrior looked really choppy...? Not sure if it's just the way the video was uploaded but. Not as striking as others in the MCU
I think its just the video for the Okoye fight, cutting around for the main fight.

I’ve never seen the whole movie so I wanted to come see if it was worth it and this didn’t really convince me.

Vengeance so primitive, its can strike your heart and full your head with enough rage to shatter your mind, but its like Vision said "What is grief if not love persevering?" And in the end it was Shuri's compassion and respect for Namor's people that allow her to let go of her vengeance, to save her people from getting consumed with in her grief.

I love the film but my one complaint is the ending of the battle was a bit of a letdown on top of the cheesy line. I wish she had flipped over him and then down some sort of kick to knock him flying backwards into the oncoming flames as she hit the button. She could’ve said “Wakanda Forever” as well during that. The phrase plus arm cross was just a little abrupt and cheesy. Love the soundtrack too.

I don’t know whose idea it was for them to switch back and forth from widescreen to full screen so many times, I get that it’s to achieve different feels for each sequence but it’s just too damn jarring the way it keeps happening, like a few times ago I get it but this was ridiculous. How did Namor stab her? The last BP film shown that the suit was practically invulnerable even to other vibranium weapons. The last movie they had to use some sort of sonic frequency to deactivate some of the suit for an opening. But here he just stabs her and that’s enough to pierce the suit? Also we know she’s not getting hurt either.
