@@Peter_Wendt - I just thought the large majority of the action scenes weren’t long enough or interesting. The last 2-3 minutes showed the only decent fighting. I never finished the show because I found it quite boring and I’m glad I didn’t stick with it for the action because it seems like there wasn’t a whole lot.

I love this interpretation of the character. The simple fact that Mr. Knight is kinda softer, tries to block and parry and doesn't go for "lethal action" (using short, blunt weapons instead of blades) Then, Moon Knight just goes for the kill and doesn't even bother to block almost any attacks, just tanking damage, knowing nothing can hurt him. And then the absolutely raging beast that's Jake.... I hope we get to see Jake's interpretation of the suit at some point. It may be even more "comic accurate" with less mummy inspiration and a more "super hero suit" look. And I also hope that we see Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night sharing the screen at some point.

Actually, he was supposed to be more powerful and badass than Batman. But in terms of badassness, Christian bale’s Batman was a lot better. They could have made the fight scenes more.

I do like that they game him actual super strength and speed. In the comics he is just a regular peak human and gets a slight strength increase during full moon.
My favorite fight in the show is in Episode 2 where it shows how strong and brutal Moon Knight is but also reminding us that he is still human like when he impales the beast but doesn’t stick the landing. He isn’t perfect. That and the Mr. Knight segment is also great

I can usually understand criticisms for a lackluster/underwhelming film or show, but I absolutely loved Moon Knight and nobody can convince me that there were major issues with it.
I think the major issue would be the payoff, clearly they're setting up for whatever project moon knight appears in next but having the resolution to the ordeal being "oh he switched to jake and somehow won" is as lazy as "somehow palpatine returns" in terms of story writing.
For a lot of Moon Knight fans, the show does not resemble the comics at all and takes a more mystical, Indiana Jones/Brendan Fraser Mummy feel than the gritty street-level vigilante thriller the comics generally have. Also, this looks barely less generic than Marvel Studios productions overall in my opinion. To me, it’s just a *little* more gritty and tries to go for a psychological thriller feel but I’d watered down with the same greyed and bland look and feel of the other Marvel Studios projects.
@@samkeller5823 The thing is Moon Knight has been reimaged dozens of times in the comics. In the orginal runs it was a lot more Indiana Jones in tone much like the show. You can't blame Marvel for taking some elements from various interoperations of Moon Knight and doing their own thing with it, it's how most Super Hero adaptations go both Marvel and DC. It's fair to prefer one interpretation over the other, but I still think the show is amazing if you view it for what it is, rather than what it isn't.

No doubt Moon knight and Mr. Knight are awesome respectfully, but we all have to know how sick is the Jake Lockley's attire and how ruthless he must be during combat. In sums up, MK was a pretty decent and fun show which dared to visit some dark corners without having R rating or "The Boys" makeover. But know this Disney overlords, if you will rain fire on upcoming MK, Daredevil or the Punisher characters I swear the mobs will riot and we will cast you out from the windows of your ivoy towers.
The first time I watched this show I didn’t enjoy it that much, although the visuals and fights were good. I recently rewatched it and loved it. I recently read some comics and the character is becoming one of my Marvel favorites.

The only similarities he has with Batman are he has money, he wears a cape, he's a street level vigilante, he has an aerial vehicle that's on theme, and he throws knives shaped like his logo. That's it. That is where the comparison begins and ends and most of that is just basic superhero shit that applies to a fuck ton of other characters. Outside of the surface level similarities they couldn't be any more different.

His creation was inspired by Batman, he is a Marvel copy of Batman. Obviously the character has evolved over time, but he was inspired by Batman.

The only similarities he has with Batman are he has money, he wears a cape, he's a street level vigilante, he has an aerial vehicle that's on theme, and he throws knives shaped like his logo. That's it. That is where the comparison begins and ends and most of that is just basic superhero shit that applies to a fuck ton of other characters. Outside of the surface level similarities they couldn't be any more different.
Moon knight was possibly the best thing to come out of phase 4. Aside from no way home. MOM wasn’t bad either but not as good
