    LYRICS:
    Take these plastic people
Read their lips, now let it linger
Is there anything that makes them sound sincere?
    C’mon, tightly hold your hand
Take a deep breath, give them the finger
Are you worried that your thoughts are not quite clear?
    (Twitch)
    Overlooked, unfit appearance
    I remember falling
    I remember marching
    Like a one-man army
    Through the blaze
    I know I’m coughing
    I believe in something
I don't want to remember falling
    For your lies
    Unbutton your clothes
Undress your soul, show them your vigor
Are those inhibitions easiest to fear?
    Take this gasoline tin
Head up high, walk like a winner
Let the bare feet be the last sounds that they hear
    (Twitch)
    Over looked, unfit appearance
    I remember falling,
    I remember marching,
    Like a one-man army.
    Through the blaze,
    I know I’m coughing,
    I believe in something.
I don't want to remember falling,
    For your lies.
    But I know I, know I, but I
    Falling,
    I remember falling,
    I remember marching,
    Like a one-man army.
    Through the blaze,
    I know I’m coughing
    I believe in something.
I don't want to remember falling.
    I remember crawling,
    Through the way,
    I know I’m falling.
    I remember marching.
    I don't want to remember falling (x2)
    For lies.

Had a panic attack yesterday night so I decied to put on a random 1990s playlist. This song came on and it's was my first time hearing it. It was so profound, I don't know if it was a coincidence, but listening to the lyrics I calmed down.

As a dude who's dealt with panic disorder and DDDP since 07, I hope you are feeling better and if it happens again or you suffer from the same, what's helped me is to always keep in mind, you may not be able to control it, but you always have the choice as far as how to REACT to it. Do anything you have to to break the hold!!

@Victor Runciman and we all now know about marilyn manson and trent reznor and their creepy sucking each other off on stage and telling teens to kill their parents then themselves. Told them to rip apart a puppy and they did at his show, then you look at manson talking about satanism and hes trying to pass it off as if its something innocent so that people are more open to it.

      @calvinweeder1067 6 лет назад

SFO14: all of those bands you listed are pale imitations of the american 'grunge' sound that was popular at that time. The difference is that the canadian versions for some reason thought they had to go over-the-top with the 'emotional intensity' (snicker), doing the Joe Cocker spazz routine because that means they're 'deep'. But this crap hasn't gone away, we still have Hedley, Mariannas Trench, Nickleback. There is no shortage of awful canadian emo-grunge with plenty of full-grown adults willing to sell prefab teenage angst to the masses of dumb-as-f kids.

    • @calvinweeder1067
      @calvinweeder1067 6 лет назад

To be fair I should say that Age of Electric were at least trying to do something a little different. Which is probably why they were the least successful band in your list.

This is one of the few songs that I've heard that had such a distinctly awesome sound from the studio. OLP was always such a good live performance, but never quite had the same energy with this track that the studio version does. Their best studio track IMO. So powerful.

This tune brings back memories of my days living halfway between Providence and Newport, RI in the Narragansett Bay-side town of Bristol. One of the most beautiful and personally satisfying places I ever lived. Life was good for me in Bristol. My radio station of choice then was WBRU-FM, when it actually broadcast on 95.5. I think WBRU, along with WXRT-FM in Chicago, are the best radio stations I ever listened to. WBRU used to play One Man Army around '99, and anytime I hear it today, I'm instantly transported back to the days when I called Bristol, the charming seaside village that it is, my hometown.

+Shane Meece Weird, I honestly don't remember it being played in the DC area. I vividly remember Somewhere Out There, Is ANybody Home, 4AM, and Supermans Dead, but this is one of those songs I just recently (within the last few years) heard and I can't remember it having any airtime when I was growing up.
