My dad had a what VE Valiant wagon that did over a million miles before an engine change and hand over to my older brother who wrote it off. After a rebuild it did another 200,000 miles before 2nd write off and final trip to Valiant heaven. They are an unbelievably good car with the only problem being it chewed accelerator cables for some strange reason. Torque flight gear box was indestructible. Would like to see you align the bonnet a bit and also repair the rust holes in the tailgate prior to some patina sauce.
Man watching this reminds me how much I regret getting rid of my Valiants 20 something years ago I loved my VF and my brother's VE. Back in 2001 my VK (with a 265) still flogged most cars on the road. The nostalgia makes me want to do something stupid like a project car!
Nice wags lad... word of advice from a man that sledded a VF wagon... get some wheel alignment wedges ( for leaf sprung 4X4s ) and get them under the lowerrng blocks...especially if you go lower ( which mine was )...that will fix the pinion angle problem and stopped my tailshaft rubbing on the floor...other than that, shes tidy enough for cruisin man.. love it...also dash pad is mint!! Thats rare

Jakey thats how ive done all my gearboxes long extensions and unis if needed been doin it since i was a teen and still do it even in the 2 workshops ive worked at thats how we all done it. It seems wrong but its the best method i think😂😂😂

Fancy tools to prime it??? Pull the plugs (optional), disconnect the coil and turn it over until ya hear the oil pump load the starter. Do it for a good 10sec or so then reconnect the coil wire 👌 works mint.
