Where did GM Australia get the inspiration for this design: At the rear, the 1969 Chevy Bel Air. From the front, a combination of the 1971 Chevelle, Monte Carlo and Nova. From rhe sides, the 1971 Impala. And I like it a lot!
Man what an awesome episode. The blanket/cloth really tops it off. I put a period correct picnic blanket over the back seat of dads VL, just that alone gets compliments and pointed out
Hey Jake, excellent video!!! I watch a lot of car vids and that was one of the best I’ve seen in ages. Beats driving ya boat in the dam or screwing mags to the wall!!!!! Ha ha !! Love it bro and love ya mate mark too!!
Love these videos bro ! Always looking to see if you’ve chucked a new one up . I throughly enjoyed the VT SS one , as iv got a VT R8 clubby, and this kingswood one was a Perla my old man had one when I was a youngin! Keep em flowing bro
Old mate with the mullet, Holden jacket and smoking a ciggie cruising past was the best haha. Always dig your stuff dude, cool that you're showing folks you don't need to be loaded to have a cool cruiser.
Mate, you have given this gem some love, but I would have gone further by given it an organism and changing the oil and filter. For me I like a bit of rake from rear down to front, driving downhill all the time saves fuel. Awesome find.
Awesome episode! Just shows a car with the right stance and wheels and cleaned up a bit can be a headturner! Would love to see it repainted the original pink 👌
Love the work as usual bro keep it up hq is my dream car can't wait to see what happens with the old girl could you do a walk around video of the blue Q cheers happy new year champ
Should have called the channel “Cheep N Cheerful Customs. I love it, you did a great job with what you had. As young lads just finishing school in 1980 we used the same tricks to fix up our first shitters. With the cars available back then only GT’s, Bathurst Monaro’s and SLR 5000 and A9X’s were relatively big money but we all had Toranas, Monaro’s, Falcons ect. You could retire now with the cars we had. I had a HK GTS Monaro, best mate had a HJ sandman panel van. Another one had a HQ GTS Monaro with the factory 350. Yet another had an LJ XU1 and the list goes on. That HQ of yours would have been dumped at the wreckers, how times have changed. I reckon that Kingswood must have felt like a Premier when it was new with the two tone paint, traumatic tranny, and that maroon interior. It would have looked pretty good pulling up in the drive way. Thanks for the memories but my 2005 Monaro is a better car all round than the oldies. Cheers, Stuart.
I wouldn't choose that colour scheme in a million years but it looks fantastic. Love to see these classics rescued.
I wouldn't call it rescued, more like molested
There should be more of this. Love the imperfections. Well done Jake and boys.
Another car that gets a second chance, well done man
Checks RUclips….
Shit yes!
Grabs beer.
Need at least a sixer!!

That’s wicked, crazy what a little bit of elbow grease can turn into. Plus that blokes mullet is awesome
