  • In this video we take a look at a set of grip puppies. They're foam grips that you slide over your grips to dampen the vibrations of the road. They're also supposed to improve throttle control, I've only used these for about 30 minutes so far so I'll make an update on the throttle control in the next few weeks.

Had a pair for my BMW K1200GT as I have large hands. Didnt need to cut them. Managed to remove them entact when I sold the bike, and I haven't yet re-installed them on my GS Adventure. I definitely found them more comfy for me, and did dampen the vibes. I also thought it did help throttle control as my hands weren't in so much of a fist shape. I do plan on putting them on the GS Adventure, as I did a 250-mile ride today and my hands were tingling with the GSAs standard grips.

I had a pair on my Himalayan and they definitely helped. Funnily enough they were cut off when my hot grips were installed and never went back on and I haven’t had any issues since. Maybe they taught me to grip less? Many thanks for the vid 👍

I was getting hand cramps on my Z900RS. I put these on to 'thicken' the grips and they've made things much better. Fitting with warm soapy water took maybe 5 mins. Highly recommended.

I had a pair on a BMW f800r , they really reduced the vibration to a comfortable level but I found them a bit thick. Overall they did a great job.

was bothered with cramps but since fitting the puppy's never had any problem , well worth the money. I seemed to adapt without much probs. but can understand how they could throw people. 👍

I pretty much found the same on my CB1100rs. Much more feedback with them without the buzzyness.

@@cribbo123 yep they work a treat, i was finding the stock grips were just that little too thin plus i had taken the original mirrors off and replaced them with bar ends, so the weights were out from the bars so as you say the buzzing was just a tad more. but i never get cramps now. so all good

I got some of these a month or so ago for my Kawasaki. It has definitely reduced the vibration and my hands don't go tingling after some time on the bike .

Same issue, especially with summer gloves, worked a treat once you adjust to the grip diameter change.

It's the first thing I do everytime I change my bike one thing to note if you use a lock that goes over the throttle and front brake it won't fit after installing the grips also bit of hassle but easy to take off I roll them off and fit to next bike

My long fingers push against the end of all my gloves and go numb after an hour, fitting Grip Puppies mean my hands don't have to close so much around the bars so much better, I don't think about it now.
The soft rubber also means I don't grip the bars as hard as I have a better contact between throttle and glove, also a lot easier on the palms of the hand if you have lower bars.
