I've used grip puppies for a few years now. I'd highly recommend them. The other trick to do is wet the grips themselves as well. I find twisting them on worked best for me. But at the end of the day if you get them on you've done it right. Take care mate. Ride safe. 👍👍👍👍
Cheers buddy, yeah I got them on in the end, I must admit I did expect them to go straight on with the air preasure from the compressor but nope, lol, well chuffed with them thoughm thanks & RSM8.
Haha! sods law thats the sorta thing you buy and they sit on the shelf for a while, Hepcat Harley just said he took them off his FJR as he didn't like them on it, hope you have more luck, when you get araound to it, lol, RSM8.
I did the same, got them soaking with suds, placed two flat bladed screwdrivers inside both sides of the grip puppies, prized them apart thus making a sliding ramp and they slid straight on. After a season I took them off, didn't like them on the FJR.
It would appear the the answer yet again is plenty of lube eh! lol, I was getting hand cramps when riding it, I think because I've got big fat ones on the cruiser and my hands are knackered with the old aurthitus thingy, yeah I would imagine they don't feel right on all bikes, probably the hight and angle one the barseffects it, Thanks & RSM8.
Bit late answering you again eh! yes I was doing the Sunny Hunny Run, lol, btw do you want me to look into how much it would cost to post you the exhaust out to you bud?
Hi Beverley, the exhaust I've got fitted is the Lextec very nice sound with or without the silencers in, here's a link to them although you can buy them from elsewhere, thanks & R.S.S. accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/accessory-shop/Silencers-Only/42264

That reminds me. I bought a pair of them for the FJR a couple of months back. Now I know how to fit them. Thanks Skeggy.

Had them on my C5 they are great!
Cheers Buddy, BTW I'm watching all of your Virago vids as they appear, loving the patina look, it's looking great especially with that tank, RSM8.
Thanks mate! I'm loving doing that bike!

Cheers Phillip, most appreciated.
I am waiting for mine to arrive, hopefully before this weekend, are you doing sunny hunny this weekend?

@@SkeggyCruiser Yes please mate. I have my grip puppies as well, just not got around to putting them on yet.
I put my Grip Puppies on with an air hose and nothing else, took me about 30 seconds for each grip. Cheers from the CB Lounge 2112!!
How exactly did you do that, any videos on youtube?
I also thought wetting the original grips may have helped Skeggy.
Yeah but me being a bit thick Nev, I didn't really think about that until I was editing the video, lol, thanks Buddy & RSM8.
What exhaust have you got on your RE.
Better than Scorpion?

Easier if you also use rubber gloves to grip the slippery puppy
I'm useless with rubber gloves on, just can't get on with em, but yep your probably right, lol,
