Tag also reads Every Garment Guranteed above lot number. Main button say 554 but doesn't correspond with a long white tag inside. Said that they were made for Europe Belguim. Any help would be appreciated.
Every Garment Guaranteed was on the rear labels for a period.Vintage will not have a long tag inside, will be small/square. You can send me pics on IG and i'll take a look
Ykk were /are used on Levis. What do you mean no buttons? Do you mean no "Rivets". If so, older didnt have them, I have a pair from the 70s with no rivets
Great advice, thank you. I like Levi's 501s and wear a 34 34 size. One pair I bought two years ago were the best fit ever, my favourite ever jeans. I bought the same size last year and the fit is completely different. Why is this? Why can't they just make them the same. Both pairs were bought from an official Levi's store..
Part of that is because when clothes are cut in factories, they are cut in huge stacks. I am sure that they have a certain amount of fabric layers for quality, but as they cutting die goes through the fabric, at the bottom, compared to the top, the size will be slightly different. As the die gets more dull, the difference grows. So the pieces cut on the bottom won't be the same as on the top. Each piece of the garment isn't cut by hand, they would be too expensive.
don’t worry if the rivet count is different on vintage levi’s my pair of 509s has 5 rivets on the front it doesn’t have the left coin pocket rivet and the coin pocket is smaller sown into the pocket
I always bought "Ls" as we called them UNTIL I found I could buy 3 pair of jeans that looked as good as Levi's for the price of 1 pair of Levi's Jeans. 🤔
It's not about how good they look, it's the fitting, the pattern n the feel that matters. I'm not a brand person at all but when it comes to jeans, I only buy Levis for what I stated above
@@PickRoll thanks. I bought some Levi's and I'm trying to determine whether they're genuine. There's nothing obvious, but the button and a rivet came off

I saw a really nice pair of jeans. If the number on the back of the bottom is 524M and the one on the tag is 524, does it mean they are fake? I’m not sure about this
Ive seen a list of codes and some had the M. Should be fine
Thanks to you and your video I now can enjoy my new original Levi's!
Glad to hear it!
On the back right pocket, there is a red. ' Levis' tag. Does letter e suppose to be capital or small letter. Does :
Levis or LEVIS indicates whether real or not..tq mr
There are vintage Big E, which can be worth good money. Then Levi's re-released a big E in modern years but not worth much. So It's either LEVIS or LeVIS
Ok so one pair of my jeans the back zipper says 3493. But the tag say 403493. Help.
sounds good
i've been rocking Levi's since the mid 70's (74') and it was only in the late 80's that i gave up on buying them , as of now their are only 2' pairs of jeans being manufactured in the US of A , and i only buy and rock ( wear ) those carhartt jeans , many of my friends dont have a problem buying vintage ( very used ) Levi' jeans and for work purposes i to have no problem in buying used pre owned Levi' jeans
the vintage made in USA are reselling good
Hi bro! Do you know if it might be more factory codes?? Bc i just got ones from pakistan with the 8520 number, but there is one from Vietnam with other code
Ive yet to find a complete list,
Thank you . good to know .
You're welcome

Very informative. Thank you and keep it up.
BTW new subscriber here.
thanks appreciate it.
Hi. First of all GREAT video. I just bought a pair of 501 and the code behind the button is 4985 but in the ribbon tag is 04985. Also it said Made in Egypt but in your video says Egypt code is 3757. Can I say 100% that this is fake?
no , that list isnt a complete list. I cant say for sure without seeing,
@@PickRoll Thanks man.
Hi, I have a pair of 501XX Big E Redline Selvedge jeans and I'm trying to tell if they are real or fake and their age. Rivets have Levis logo on back but they are raised not pressed in stamped.
@@PickRoll what’s you IG?
@@jukeboxjodi1 look in description box of video
Do they produce models with no tm marking on the back side. I have a pair of 512 slim taper. It dont have the tm marking on backside near the 512
Are you talking about the tiny R ? on the leather patch or the red tab?
@@PickRoll im talking about the leather patch. There was neither tm nor r just 512 in one of my levis.
I bought a pair of vintage levis. they are perfect in stitching and details but have a ykk zip and no buttons. are they legit?
Ykk were /are used on Levis. What do you mean no buttons? Do you mean no "Rivets". If so, older didnt have them, I have a pair from the 70s with no rivets
Great advice, thank you. I like Levi's 501s and wear a 34 34 size. One pair I bought two years ago were the best fit ever, my favourite ever jeans. I bought the same size last year and the fit is completely different. Why is this? Why can't they just make them the same. Both pairs were bought from an official Levi's store..
I do not know. thanks
Had no idea…thank you
Happy to help
Thanks man really helped
Glad it helped
Great tips, appreciate them!
Thanks
Great video!
Thank you!
😊
Glad you liked it!
don’t worry if the rivet count is different on vintage levi’s my pair of 509s has 5 rivets on the front it doesn’t have the left coin pocket rivet and the coin pocket is smaller sown into the pocket
Right, I have a vintage pair from 70s that different also. Fakes are more modern day anyway. thanks
I always bought "Ls" as we called them UNTIL I found I could buy 3 pair of jeans that looked as good as Levi's for the price of 1 pair of Levi's Jeans. 🤔
It's all perspective, and Levis arevery cheap compared to some brands that are over $100 new, thanks
It's not about how good they look, it's the fitting, the pattern n the feel that matters. I'm not a brand person at all but when it comes to jeans, I only buy Levis for what I stated above
You forgot to mention the zipper. It should have an engraved Levi's or for newer models it should have the batwing symbol.
thanks
Should the patch always be leather?
Some vintage have real leather, but most have a paper like material faux leather.
@@PickRoll thanks. I bought some Levi's and I'm trying to determine whether they're genuine. There's nothing obvious, but the button and a rivet came off
@@RambloManiacs There's other things to look at, like stitching, but the few things I mention are enough to determine
I bought a pair of 511 from Amazon direct not a reseller. All your tips passed except the red tag just says R? No Levi text. Everything else checks out. They also fit amazing.
Levis says 1 out of every 100 pairs made has a blank tab. It happens when they change the thread spool that stitches Levis onto tab. It's good.
How much price Amazon?
Thanks for great vid!!!! Sadly have a fake pair, from Amazon of course 😖
what were the things that dont look good?
@@PickRoll the back side tag is not even at all, also feels like cardboard. Also the button number doesn't match the long tag number.
Not stated in your vid, but the back pocket red tag on mine only has a circled R rather than it saying Levi's?
Wow! Great info!!! Thanks!!!
thanks
Thank you, this is great info.
thanks
Thank you my Levi's are real. Thanks for sharing ❤️
thanks
@@PickRoll You're welcome 😊
Did this guy just teach you how to spot fakes or did he teach me how to make the best counterfeit Levi’s jeans known to man?
Both.
Hi dude i bought a pair of 501 but It hasn't pc9 code on label but there is fabric code 4309
I don't know if It Is a fake or not
Where did you buy? Are they new modern or vintage?
new modern@@PickRoll
I have a pair of 550. They are right except for revert: inside there isn’t stamped. I think they’re made in Usa from ‘80. Paper red label insight.
if your on Instagram, send me pics of inside label both side. Mt ig is in video description box
@@PickRoll done!
Wow, thanks! Did t know there were counterfeit Levi’s, should have known…
Yea, there is. thanks
Thanks for valuable informations, i checked my thrifted ones.Thank god they are real. But i couldn’t find the factory 247 in the list. Any idea?
I haven't seen a complete factory list yet, I wouldn't worry.

Could you advise please good online shops of not expensive Levi’s jeans shipping all over the world in U. S. A? Thanks.
My ebay store link is in description box under video, I sell denim/Levis, Maybe you will see something you like, otherwise I really don know of any. You could also tell me what your looking for and I could possibly find them, thank
this helped thanks god bless you bro
You're welcome!
Informative detective work video. But seriously, Levi’s , Wranglers have priced themselves to a level where they deserve to be copied. No longer for working people. Who cares about a friggin’ rivet if it’s dark in a bar and those jeans were 70 % discount ?
True, expensive new.
Plus people do care because some collect Levis and some older used can sell/cost big money, so they dont want fakes.
Thanks for the information. 👌
You're welcome
That is so amazing thank u for a clear insightful presentation.
glad it helped, thanks
Thanks fot the info.. i found out my 501 93 is fake!
