I bought several pairs of fake 501's in Bangkok 30 years ago. They were really good ones and fit really well. They were so good they all got stolen off my washing line when I got back to the UK.
Main thing and very fast to check is see the rear number of button and check on the label to see if is the same. Never seen fake with numbers on the rear
I have some Levi's from Amazon that must be factory rejects. According to your video they are authentic however I did get them at a discount. It seems there are some low quality Levi's out there. Edit: I think the jeans were better quality before the stretch material became the standard. Also thanks for this video.
Did the guy just say Levi's buttons are real silver? That doesn't make sense. Even at 2 grams per button, about $10 of the jean's cost would just be the buttons if that were true.
In my city there was a rumour about an authorised selling point selling them fake, but with relative good quality because i live in an industrial textile region so they had the materials and the know-how.
I have a pair of Levi's buttoned jeans. The main button has a number engraved on it that sugests China. The rest of the buttons don't have anything engraved on the back of them. Do all buttons need to have that factory number or only the main button?
I think you're talking about reasonably good fake. Here in india, even the levis outlets sell worse quality than the fakes you're talking about...!!! 😁
Both jeans are from levis, The one that you are saying is 'fake' is from their mens line, not their premium line. Do some more research. Premium line levis have the capital E in the tag, and regular line has small E,
I have a pair of 501's Premium with the number 215 stamped on the button and 1005 on the tag. Other things like stitching, labels etc. look legit. Made in South Africa. Bought new off Ebay. Fake or Real?
The rivets on my jeans are copper colour in the front but silver colour in the back and there are no fly buttons although all other signs mentioned in this video for a real pair are found, is my jeans fake ?
This as a really bad fake but still acceptable. It is not safety gear. The only reason I wouldn't buy the fake is that it is likely to be made in a sweatshop.
Fake Levi's last longer than real Levi's I even got money back from Levis, as I sent both pairs to them. In fact I still have those Levi's I brought them in Bangkok 1990
Ha! I just commented something similar above. My Bangkok Levi's were so good they all got nicked off my washing line when I got back to the UK. They cost £5 each in '93.
Amazon sells factory rejects and defect stock 😢 I bought 3 pairs, and they are literally trash 🗑 Genuine but bad stock all of them. The best I had were Made in Poland. Lasted for years and they look like new ❤
Modern Levi’s suck it’s cheap doesn’t last long there is some synthétic fibers in the cotton - I don t understand why they chose to shoot themselves in the foot like that
It's simple they employ a CEO who demands a high salary and turns the company into a lifestyle brand and tripling the price, they don't deserve your money.
the original US levis can detect from loops & its bartact. You showed us both not good. Original levis stands straighly. Thats only one example. Many to explain...
The companies themselves are to blame, they choose to cheap out for profit, in so doing they lost ownership of their product they own it in name only! The gave foreigners all their patterns and designs, it's their own fault. I'll happily buy fakes theirs hardly any difference.
Everything is right but in tag comparison you have mistaken that which is wrong and which is right capital letters of Levi's is fake but you have mentioned that it is real which is genuinely wrong
@@rangadon I'm also 5'6". I'm planning to buy 501 original fit but there is no 30" inseam here in the Levis store Philippines. is the 32" inseam good to our height?
It's not so easy to spot fake clothing these days and for me manufacturer's are to blame, they choose to use offshore production to increase profits straight away you've lost control of your QC and you've given away all your patterns and design prints. For me as soon as these companies ( and they're all doing it) moved production out of their original factories they only making reproductions of their own items. By trying to maximise profit and turn into corporate lifestyle brands that's it for me, one may as well buy they fakes because they're usually as good as the reproductions. Most clothing companies are just making reproduction of their own products, the days of quality independent companies are gone because they're not financially able to succeed in the modern corporate shit show that is consumerism for consumerisms sake!! They don't deserve your money if their making compromised reproductions so **CK then.
Well wrong, maybe it was the case for a period but I bought mine 501 from their official website and they have a capital E , you can check it yourself if you want .

I like the classic Levi's that had 7 belt loops instead of 5. It seems they're cutting corners on the modern pants.
Unusual

That’s what this guy showed on the video. Jeans that came from a store, and rejects that were sold at a discount retailer like Amazon.
