This car has a very special place in my heart. I owned one and it was a blast and even more when I went all out with mods. I love my subie now but looking back this is a great car to own.
Chris J the way subaru’s get their rumble is from unequal length headers. If you want that same rumble youd have to get those. I dont think they sell them for an MS3, so youd probably have to get some custom made or something. But in general swapping headers will give you a better more aggressive engine sound
xrainbowwaterx I didn’t have a tune on it for about 6 months and it ran and sounded normal. I do now have a tune on it but just an intake with no tune should be completely fine.
@@T6travels I wouldn’t say it’s raspy but it is a little lower tone.. also like you said, it could be my mic quality.... I have another video where I have both the muffler and resonator deleted and that’s what brought a tiny bit more rasp out.

Shouldn't have wasted money on a Subaru. Every tool and their mother has one.
I am a MK5 GTI man myself, but do have a soft spot for these cars. Very nice.
would u recommend one
@@newax_productions2069 You can say that about any mainstream car brand. That’s not a very compelling argument.
I like the exhaust, sounds louder than stock but still clean. Did you install hpfp internals to support the intake or is it ok without it?
Nope I did not! I daily drove this car for a year without hpfp internals until someone hit me.. but never had any issues
@@henrybravo9973 thanks so much for the reply! That helps in making my decision!
Great video friend, is it like an annoying type of loud in person or does it sound pretty good
Sounds good
did you have to tune it at all when you did the muffler delete? and when you put the short ram intake on there?
Nicholas Simms I didn’t tune it and it ran fine. I eventually got an accessport a few months later and tuned it then
👍👍👍
Do you have a bov? Or is all that turbo noise from just intake
Just from the intake!
Henry Bravo that’s sweet, thanks
@@henrybravo9973 what intake is it?
@@dalehenry5779 Cobb intake
What else you did you have done to be able to hear the turbo?
i want to know
I got a Cobb short ram intake it really brings out the turbo whistles and sounds
@@henrybravo9973 sounds really good. Did you have to tune it after you put the intake on?

@@henrybravo9973 sweet. Thanks man!
Is it quiet while cruising? I want something that’s quiet when I want it but opens up more under acceleration
Yes it’s just a bit louder than stock but cruising is fine. When you get on it you can definitely hear a difference tho
@@henrybravo9973 is it raspy in person? I think it might just be the mic quality, I want something with a deep tone

@@T6travels Its raspy as hell in higher gears, did this today and above 4-5RPM the rasp is intense. Lower RPM's it sounds great.
@@ToxicNinja238 really? I did it too mine too I don’t think it sounds too raspy and I have a resonator delete as well
Did u replace a muffler with some silencers? Sick!
Nope just replaced the muffler with pipe
@@henrybravo9973 how did you do it? due to it being a twin exhaust?
@@maxdoyle4376 it was basically a y pipe just a lot wider
@@henrybravo9973 did u do it yourself? can u show us, like the cut angles
@@maxdoyle4376 no a muffler shop did it
damn glad i peeped this video before doing this myself. decel sounds terrible with the muffler delete.
Glad It helped!
how did you paint the rear valiance
I believe it’s stock on a speed3 but I bought it like that
Is the rest of the exhaust stock
Yup!
Idk but it sounds like a Subaru boxer engine 😅😅 which is a good thing 😬
Is this a lot louder than stock?
Angel Avila it’s a little louder than stock but you can definitely hear a difference when your driving
Was this the Cobb catback exhaust?
No, just a muffler delete!
Henry Bravo I have the Cobb catback but I’m debating doing a cat delete, what would be your thoughts?
Adrian Ndinika I would do it if you’re looking at making it louder and maybe pick up some power for sure
Henry Bravo I honestly just want some natural crackles and pops haha
Adrian Ndinika haha yeah just do it!
Any drone on the highway?
Martin Baca mine does not drone on the highway just a little bit when slowly picking up speed but nothing bad at all
Is this a muffler delete on a 2.0?
It’s a 2.3L
Bruh its a mazdaspeed, 2.3L Disi turbo
What year??
2013
Do you mean "resonator delete". The muffler refers to the oval thing after the y-pipe. It's clearly still there.
Adios Amigos the first clip is stock exhaust so yes the oval is still there. The second clip is after I got the muffler delete!
Adios Amigos Adios Amigos Also I labeled it in red on the first and last clip. “Stock cold start” and “Muffler delete cold start”
What tips are these ??
Got them off Amazon, I can’t find the link anymore tho
hey bro, is the piping the same size and you changed the tips ?
@@stevemartinez4773 yes it’s the same factory size pipe and yes I did
