Frosty #sadboys the 2.3 L3 Engine isnt the most reliable. They burn oil and the slightest mistreatment will cause issues down the line. Blew one that had only done 80k miles. They just need regular servicing.

@@casa-35 I've had my speed3 for about a year now and driven 23,000 miles, it hasn't burned any oil whatsoever. It's on 130k now. So no they don't burn oil unless there is a problem. I use 5w40 oil it's better for the turbo seals
P T 23,000 miles is nothing on a car. Come back when you get up near 100k.
176k on mine. The onñy reason this cars have problems is because people abuse them too much

Plenty of successful cars around with even shorter wheelbases. I mean, even the 2017 STi sedan has a wheelbase that is literally 20 millimeters longer than the Mazda 3 and the 2005 STi is actually shorter by 100mm.
