- Hey guys I hope you enjoyed this new video! I apologize I didn't have more clips of the stock exhaust but I did the resonator delete a while back, but never the less I hope you enjoyed! i really think this small mod is super necessary for mazdaspeeds because it just makes it sound a little more mean and when I get my cat-less down-pipe it will be the perfect balance of loud but not too loud. I agree lol 😂 with the exhaust clips though the exhaust definitely drowns out the music lol we live and learn, got another exhaust vid coming will make sure to keep the music out of the exhaust clips lol 🤙🏼

You have a gen one based on your profile pic I assume? I’m not sure if that exhaust is a 2.5in like the second gen is. I assume it would be the same so I’d say any 2.5 in inlet exhaust tip should be good for you. Double check though and just look up the diameter of the first gen speed exhaust 👌🏼 thanks for watching

IamBuu oh forsure and dope man! You plan on doing a downpipe too? Because that’s where you get the amazing sound! I plan on doing a new exhaust setup soon just been busy as hell with life. But yeah any 2.5in inlet to a 4in outlet will work on this, I saw on amazon they have the same ones I linked but a slant cut tip but idk if you like the look of those just look around 💪🏼 sometimes if you go to exhaust shops they will have tips there for sale

They are enkei PDC wheels 18x8 I believe 💪🏼
How did you get the tips off? I’ve been trying to get mine off and it looks welded.
Hunter Smith they are welded if I am correct, I took my car to a shop to get the tips put on they charged me like 50 bucks to do that and fix an exhaust leak I had. I assume they just chopped them off. And welded up the new ones

Yeah, it does, I just recently posted an updated exhaust video on my channel if you want to check it out. The car now has an eBay catless downpipe to the resonator delete. Sounds awesome in my opinion.

How was the drone? And how much louder than stock?
The drone with this setup isn't bad at all, and I would say a noticeable difference in sound. Not super loud by any stretch. I have an updated exhaust setup video on my channel. I have a catless downpipe in the mix now and that's the best bang for your buck sounding exhaust for these cars. the drone is a little worse with this new setup but so much louder and obviously power gains!

What's up with the white smoke? Cold?
The turbos have a stock oil restrictor bolt that allows too much oil to the turbo, so white smoke is the result. Definitely want to upgrade that.
This Video is very old so I don't remember how cold it was. I don't think it was all that cold out. Car is fine no worries. But a ton of white smoke bellowing from these cars is usually a result of the turbo going by by.
@@zackeryhatch436 Yeah, you can get a different restrictor bolt that people say mixed things on. I still do not have an aftermarket restrictor on the stock turbo. I haven't had any issues as a result though. I plan on upgrading the turbo in the near future anyway. Probably will go with a BNRS4 but we shall see. I will definitely make content on it when I do upgrade. However, this coming season will be the season of maintenance lol. New clutch most likely, cleaning my intake valves, injector cleaning, seals, etc.
Delete the muffler it will sound 10xs better without the reso. Trust
I was planing on doing a muffler delete but I was quoted around $160 to do it because I guess its a pain in the ass for shops to do it to these cars. Also I am eventually doing a catless downpipe and if I did a muffler delete with my res delete and a catless downpipe it would be too loud for my liking. Catless downpipe with resonator delete sounds really good to me just the right amount of loud
$160 tf for muffler delete gonto another shop should be less than $80 bro if that. They just didn’t wanna do it and wanted to get money out of u smh hate places like that
Compa Cheo nah man I guess on speed3’s the second gen the way the stock exhaust set up is its a pain in the ass to do I’ve been to multiple shops in my area lowest I was quoted was like 140 and for that it’s better to just get a Catless DP I like the sound of the resonator delete and Catless DP more anyway
