Very sad. Not too surprising in the grand scheme of things I guess. People want their *own* children, not someone else's. Many only adopt because they want children but have no choice because of biological reasons. A killer that was able to even able to hide themselves from a genuine psychic, a disturbing thought.
It could be the killer had obscured their real name from law enforcement (or had no record) and possibly the government using an assumed identity for his entire life, transient or homeless not even recorded in birth records.
Curious how the results of that name would appear in a search of modern law enforcement databases on 2023.
The name Dorthy read is how the killer identifies himself, personally.

It was late victorian era, a child out of wedlock was an outcast even from their own families (if mom didn't commit suicide while pregnant to prevent the disgrace), disease was rampant, drugs and alchohol were big issues too often leaving the parents incapacitated if not in prison. While the solution was barbaric, they didn't feel they had much of a choice at the time.

Dorothy Allison is a New Jersey psychic, who helps with police in hundreds of investigations. Although she says that in several cases she finds no answer, many other cases she is able to help solve. She has lived in New Jersey her entire life. She is married with four children. Her husband Bob is an engineer for a Manhattan construction company. When she was fourteen, she had her first indication of her psychic abilities when she predicted the death of her father.
Since the Michael Kurcsics investigation, most of her cases have been homicides, many of them involving children. Unsolved Mysteries found a case that they decided that she should try to solve, the murder of Lori Zimmerman. They did not give any information about the murder or the victim. This was done to see if she would be able to help give new information about the killer. She continued to work as a psychic until she passed away in 1999.

Unresolved. In 1988, Marvin Lee Irvin was arrested for attempting to kidnap his girlfriend. She told police that he confessed to killing Micki; he also threatened to kill her if she left him. In the fall of 1990, Irvin was arrested and charged with the murders of Patricia Diane Rose, thirty-one, and Crystal Lynn Simmons, thirty-three. The two both vanished earlier in 1990; Patricia on September 17 and Crystal on October 29. Their bodies were found in a field near property that the Irvin family owned. Autopsies revealed that both women died of blunt force trauma. The victims' jewelry were found in his home, along with a hammer that was determined to be the murder weapon. Blood from both victims were found in his truck.
Irvin initially denied killing either woman or Micki. However, police located a key witness: a young woman who was dating Irvin at the time of Micki's disappearance. She told investigators that she had helped Irvin dispose of Micki's body. As a result of her testimony, he was charged with Micki's kidnapping and murder.
In the fall of 1991, he confessed to Micki's murder, stating that as he had approached her at the bus stop, she took a hammer out of her purse and threw it at him. He then beat her and intended to take her to work, but allegedly she made racial references to him so he stabbed her four times in the chest, shot her twice in his vehicle and buried her in a cornfield in Highland, Kansas. This is the same property where his other victims were found.
In October of 1991, Irvin pleaded guilty to the first-degree murders of Patricia and Crystal as part of a plea agreement; he also pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of Micki so that the state would not seek the death penalty. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Although the other two victims' bodies were found at the site, Micki's remains were never found.
Investigators admit that they made mistakes in the investigation and failed to search his vehicle. They now believe that Irvin was the writer of the notes and that he wrote them to throw off and taunt investigators.

I used to visit that Library quite often, The Washington County Free Library. The blue building they passed before the Library was the old bus terminal which is been closed for years. There is a corner store behind the Library called Carmens and then an alley called Cramer Alley. The memories...

Regarding disappearance of Micki Jo West, Marvin Lee Irvin, a former police officer, confessed to West's murder. She had been a friend of his first wife. Irvin had been investigated as a suspect shortly after West's disappearance and her family believed he was involved, but he passed a polygraph and there was little evidence to implicate him. Irvin also confessed to killing two other women in 1990 and burying them in the same field. A search turned up the bodies of his other victims, but there was no sign of West. To escape the death penalty for two first degree murders, Marvin confessed to killing Micki. The court sentenced him to three consecutive life sentences without any hope of parole.

To Unsolved Mysteries: When I first saw this video a couple years ago there was a sufficient audio level for comfortable listening, but it is now a widespread problem on RUclips that the audio signal is very faint, although the ads that occur throughout the posted video are PLENTY LOUD. I listen on high quality headphones at maximum volume and I still have to strain to hear dialogue--except for the ads, which are always PLENTY LOUD. Please do what you can to re-post your videos with greatly boosted audio and please alert RUclips to this growing problem. I believe RUclips itself is the source of the problem and so RUclips ought to be the one that fixes it.
