Important to ALWAYS use protective gear like a proper helmet. This goes from kids on normal small bikes with no motor, to fast & heavy MB's. Backplate is also a must on MB. Thats the minimum.. Part of the Roberts case was filmed within walking distance of my house. I was about 18 when they filmed and I watched them film some of the scenes from the first fire. My dad was also on the local fire department and one of our trucks was used in a scene. It was quite something to see. The Roberts case is one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in Indiana history. My mom saw Geneva once at JCPENNEY in the years after the first fire. I think it's safe to say that Clarence murdered someone and that's who they found in the first fire. But what happened with the second fire? Murder/Suicide or were they murdered by a third party? We may never know. Also the medical examiner once did a talk at our local hospital in the 80s or on the case that my parents went. I was just a dumb teenager at the time so it wasn't an interest to me then. It would be now!
Wow just wow 😳 Imagine having the guts & balls to set a fire 🔥!? That's just insane to me! I'm sure that was quite interesting having a TV show being filmed in your own community especially back then! Technology was just making it's appearance!
Authorities looked into the possibility that the first victim was a thirty-eight-year-old drifter from Kentucky named James Woodrow Hatcher, who vanished in the 1968. However, X-rays of James's body determined that he was not the murder victim. Authorities are certain that the second body found belonged to Clarence. X-rays and dental records from Clarence matched the body. In regards to the 1980 fire, a grand jury determined that Geneva was murdered and that Clarence died accidentally while setting the fire. They believed that he passed out either from alcohol consumption or from the fire's fumes. Authorities are also certain that he was responsible for the murder of the first victim. In fact, a grand jury indicted him for kidnapping and murder in 1975. However, the victim's identity remains a mystery.
In the Jenny Pratt case, I am dumbfounded that none of the youths involved in the incident, not even those on the periphery, has stepped forward to identify who committed the crime. Instead, moral purpose has been supplanted by a twisted sort of teen-age loyalty. They don't seem to have that conscience inside that tells them, 'This is wrong and I better do something to make it right.
It´s apparently widely known in the community who committed the attack. The parents didn´t mention their suspicions on TV but apparently the attacker committed suicide several years afterwards.
Yeah they deserve to be prosecuted to the max for what they did to unsuspecting jenny. Also that so-called man she was with that put her in that unfortunate predicament should've gotten his head cracked worse than she did by Jenny's father.
Mr. Davs Says Fuck RUclips! It’s not about stupidity or intelligence. It’s about their apparent lack of conscience. I hope the guilt eats at them every damn day they live.
@ms. will always love my life every teenager goes against their parents wishes sometimes. You sound like a very twisted and sick individual to say you have no sympathy for a teenager who was nearly beaten to death. I pity you.
Jenny is a perfect example of why we should be mindful of the company we keep. She was at the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong guy. Another person's actions can indeed affect those around them and change the whole course of a life. 😔
I was seeing a guy who smoked weed and brought it from dealers. Weed is legal now. But I didn’t like the bad neighborhoods he went into to get it. A lot of people he know are street people. Something like this could happen or drive by shooting and I could be in the car so I had to leave him.

The story about Jenny Pratt is so sad. The weird part about it is it happened ten minutes away from my house in Encinitas, California. 15 minutes north of San Diego. The even weirder part is that my oldest brother went to the same exact school, and graduated five years after it happened, in ‘92. The incident happened in 87. And that same exact taco shop where Curtis had the argument with his friend, which is called Juanita’s is still there to this day. I’m almost positive my brother knows about the incident, but I highly doubt he ran around with that crowd since he’s a good, clean guy, and was five years younger than them.

Stack looked great in those suits and trench coat. He was good as Ness but he was fantastic as host of UM. I remember when he passed. The zenith of his acting career was in the movie "written on the wind". If I'm not mistaken he received an AA nomination for it. He was sooo good in it as Kyle, the hard drinking, stubborn, untrusting son, husband, and friend. Rock hudson llayed his best friend, mitch. Dorothy malone played the his drinking sister ( AA win) and robert keith (brian Keith's dad) played their father. Excellent movie. A lot of times stack was stiff on screen but he SHINED in this movie!
Some friends and family members could watch a loved one commit a crime right in front of them and when asked about it by media or law enforcement they would immediately talk about how bad their eye sight is.🙄

Police in Clearwater, Florida received a call from a viewer who identified "Fumbles" as twenty-three-year-old college student Ross James Preston; on May 24, 1989, FBI agents arrested Preston while he was test-driving a pickup truck in Clearwater. When he was arrested, Preston was in possession of the baseball cap, sunglasses, and gloves that were believed to be used in the robberies. A fingerprint found on a bag at the first robbery scene was matched to him. On August 2, 1989, Preston pleaded guilty to thirty-three armed robberies; as part of a plea deal, he was given a twenty-five-year sentence for seven of the robberies. He served thirteen years in prison and was released in 2002.

We all deserve his judgement. God is love, he desires mercy. If those people experience wrath in the life to come it is because they experience God's love as fire and pain, insofar as they lived life as his enemy. According to their mode of willing they construct a hell for themselves. The gates of hell are locked from the inside and hell (or heaven) in a sense, begins in this life insofar as our choices convey us to one or the other. God sends us only to our choices.
Deserving and choosing are two different things. The Bible in Matthew 7 makes it explicitly clear, there are false converts who think they are believers, (believe in Jesus and are saved) and are cast out into hell. They are not choosing to go to hell.

I totally remember this episode because the episode of the girl who got struck by a 2×4 stayed in my memory for some reason
same for me! Of all the episodes, this one had to be one of the very few i could recall
Thankyou so so much I love the stack ones .
Me to I love unsolved mysteries and the stack was too 💖💖❤❤💜💜💗💗
They're the best!
Rhoads' girl. It's the no-snitching rule.
@ms. will always love my life every teenager goes against their parents wishes sometimes. You sound like a very twisted and sick individual to say you have no sympathy for a teenager who was nearly beaten to death. I pity you.
You deserve a nobel prize for uploading these
I concur
Word
For a Southern Californian, Jenny Pratt's mother has one hell of a Brooklyn accent.
She watched Goodfellas one too many times
She's probably from there
Jenny is a perfect example of why we should be mindful of the company we keep.

Some stories are so heartbreaking,
Or some so scary, they’ll leave you shaking...
Though one thing’s certain, Mr. Stack’s voice won’t be quaking,
As he’s one steadfast professional that needs no replacing!
And this version theme song omg still gets me

I was just a kid when this show came out. 2 episodes have stuck with me since they aired-this episode about Jenny and the Roswell episode. SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME! I swear I didn’t sleep for a week.

Not for Jenny. It proved to be her ultimate nightmare.
I felt bad for Jenny, especially when I heard her speak. Her life got ruined because she fell in love with a guy that had a troubled past

she's still unfortunately disabled , Jenny Pratt is still living in Carlsbad, CA and she will always be mentally impaired. @@pizzaplanettruck9761 I am so curious, do you mean you have seen them comment on youtube videos for Unsolved Mysteries? Or are you just speculating about those cases in particular?
The story about Jenny Pratt is so sad. The weird part about it is it happened ten minutes away from my house in Encinitas, California. 15 minutes north of San Diego. The even weirder part is that my oldest brother went to the same exact school, and graduated five years after it happened, in ‘92. The incident happened in 87. And that same exact taco shop where Curtis had the argument with his friend, which is called Juanita’s is still there to this day. I’m almost positive my brother knows about the incident, but I highly doubt he ran around with that crowd since he’s a good, clean guy, and was five years younger than them.
Juanita's the best Mexican food but la especial Norte is the best tho
Turn him in.
This may be something you've considered and even more so disagree with but your brother may know who did this....

That first case hit hard, I listen to these while I'm working and I'm legit crying at work right now 😭

Robert Stack did a live interview with Jennifer on a different episode, live at the telecenter. As a hardcore fan, I'm glad I got to see it many years ago.

13 years in prison for 33 armed bank robbery jobs seems like a sweet deal to me
Poor Jennifer, such a sad case, her whole life turned upside down because of the sheer stupidity of a group of teenagers, Curtis definitely knew who threw the plank and I'm sure it was common knowledge among her so called 'friends' in school, if anyone knows anything about this case all these years later I would appreciate it
I looked it up and its rumored that the guy the bf ratted on hired some kids to target the bf. the person who had the board supposedly commited suicide in 1994, but the driver is still alive.
The boyfriend Curtis, is a complete wacko, he's on RUclips spewing so much crap, like you wouldn't believe!
@@Scorch428 thanks for the update, tragic case, the photos of Jenny before and after the attack really do show the reality of what she suffered, at that age we really do think we are invincible and nothing will happen us, when I look back now the company I kept was far from desirable, thankfully nothing like what happened Jennifer happened me, let it be a lesson, who we hang around with can have serious consequences.

Poor Jenny. Bless her heart tho'.
Some friends and family members could watch a loved one commit a crime right in front of them and when asked about it by media or law enforcement they would immediately talk about how bad their eye sight is.🙄
This show needs to be brought back for the 21st century. There have been more crimes to happen. Love to see a an episode regarding wells fargo scandal.
It’s on Netflix, but in a different format. It’s still VERY good.

Segment 3: These types of stories are quite common out in the sticks. Whoever said small town life is a bore doesn't know what they're talking about.
I swear in all my years of living I've never laughed so hard due to a law enforcement officer (fbi) professionally tell the story of a criminal. When he said "proceeds to trip" while telling the story with a straight had me laughing so hard i was crying from it.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The cowards that did this and know won't get away with this in Gods judgment.
