Thanks to Evertune for making this video possible! Are you Team Schecter or Team High Intergrity Hello Kitty?? Poll in the top ri... oh wait, RUclips killed the polls. 😢
Schecter needs to send him the KM7 or KM6 Mk. III Standard or Hybrid models. I say the standard since they have a stealth grey version that was def inspired by what I remember from the reeeeal early days of when Keith Merrow was still rocking Strictly 7 Guitars. They came out with a greyish silver with Predator bomb counter inlays on the ebony fretboard. S7G and Keith were doing a giveaway I believe on Facebook for that S7G "Predator" guitar. IDK who won, but he/she must've been suuuper happy.
Yeah, nice to see you getting the Schecter wake-up call I got a couple years back. A good friend, who was an Ibanez lifer, only buying Ibanez, aside from a Kramer first guitar, and a Jackson King V he received as a gift, suddenly had three Schecters, and was swapping a new Charvel for another Schecter. I didn't get it. Then I played all of them. I have a Jeff Loomis signature Schecter JL-7, with his signature Seymour Duncan set, from his final year at Schecter. This JL-7 is the best 7 string guitar I've owned that I didn't build myself. I did add an EMG wiring and pots, but otherwise stock, and it's so enjoyable. I will also add that the people at Schecter for a great customer/technical support experience. Those Lundgren pups were surprisingly obnoxious, in a good way. Enjoy!
I absolutely agree. The compound radius on the KM7 is incredibly comfortable to play. I can easily pick mine up, plug it in, play it for 3 hours and not even notice.
@@BrandonEht I'm just saying that modern metal pickups should at least be demo'd through the amps that created the foundation of modern metal guitar tones.
@@jensenparker5504 Marshall dsls are very solid for modern metal tones. But I see what you mean with going through the mesa im sure that would be insane
I actually own one for a year now. And I have to agree. The high frets are soo easy to play and reach. I love it and the sound . Monster pickups. Thin neck too! 2.0mm i think
Some say he knows the the nine cures for veganism from Daine to Mandarin. And he debates with religious intensity over the proper shade of redhead to chug a quilt maple top. All we know is, he's called Der Fish!
I bought one of these guitars today. Really looking forward to playing it. Thanks for the heads up on the schecter factory evertune setup. I've never set an evertune up before; hopefully it won't be too hard.
I've been scoping those banshee mach 7s for a while now. Up until about a month ago, my 7 string arsenal was a 27" scale Kiesel, and a 7 string solar. Then I purchased the Schecter KM-7 artist series. Holy Shit. I never remembered Schecter playing like that. 2 weeks later a KM-7 Hybrid 7 in white with maple fretboard came open (I'm a lefty, so slim pickings usually) and I immediately purchased that one. Those are now my #1 and #2 for 7 strings. 26.5 in scale seems like the perfect blend for the combination of intonation and playability.
Thought I would hate Schecter guitars. Then I played one. Now I love them. Not a fan of the ones with Floyd Rose systems, but that's probably because I like fixed bridges. Not a fan of superstrats either and my Schecter is a superstrat. Saving up to buy a new one - looking at the Solo II Apocalypse, the new Ultra series, the Solo II Custom and the Tempest Custom. By the time I have the cash there might be new stuff out too, so I'm pretty excited to see what comes next. Think they've been knocking it out of the park recently.
I have 2 of them with the FR. I wish I would have gotten one with the Evertune, but I wasn't really aware of them at the time. And I concur..best 7 string guitars I've ever owned.
Hey Hunter!! So how does this compare to the Sir Headly LTD? Both are neck-through 7 strings with evertunes. Curious to hear your opinion. Love your channel!!!
I have a loomis 7 08 version with the thicker neck and 707 emg ....I like it but I grabbed one of these today and after getting the action nice and low it just shreds so beautifully
I think Schecters have a great range of product offerings. Super metal to nice clean looking designs. Not played a lot of them, but they always feel so good in my hands when I pick one up at the store.
I just got a lefty Apocalypse E-1 and it has 24 XJ stainless steel frets, USA pickups, and 1 of 5 from a special lefty run. I love my Schecters! P.S. I actually really like the Schecter branded locking tuners as much as Grovers or Gotohs.
People at "Schecter Guitar Research" (lol that full name is so cringe) must have been "researching" some good shrooms and they hallucinated that anyone would pay $1800 for a WorldMusic factory Korean Schecter with wallpaper top. Holly Molly this guitar will drop in values 50% once you walk out of the door with it. I don't think Schecter's edgy, ugly designs, aesthetics, names, logos and inlays appeal to anyone over the age of 12. They might as well stick to making their $400-$800 OMENs an Hellrazers which are in their target audience budget. PS. This headstock is got to be one of ugliest there is, on par with Chapman's.
Honestly, I wish I would've held off buying my recent guitar now lol. Just recently got a 2019 Schecter hellraiser hybrid fr s, with that sustainiac pickup in it, which dont get me wrong, it's crazy cool. I got the black version, has the nice carbon binding, looks great over all, and feels great. But that banshee really seems like something I'm looking for, guess the girlfriend will just have to bitch at me for a few weeks again lol.
Lundgren are the best to djent. They're cutting edge and precise because they're low output pickups. Metal players are always in search of high output ones, i think it's a mistake.
One thing that I never see reviewers talk about is the guitar weight!! So many people buy guitars online, and brands and stores never have this information... I know weight varies with the same guitar... but and heavy guitar will always be heavy, and a light one will always be light... they should inform buyers about the weight even if with a range.
I've had a banshee mach fr-s 7 for about 4 months now. It's the greatest guitar I've ever played. I've had to talk myself out of getting a second hardtail version.
Hey LP-style boy, you need to check out Darrel Braun's review of the Solo II. I love mine and it plays like a dream. Versatile and beautiful. Schecter nails it every time. Welcome to a new world.
@@agufish Nice! I don’t doubt the banshee is a great guitar, and I love the lundgren pickups, spec wise it’s close but I don’t think I can pass on the burl top with the crimson burst. Thanks for replying!
had that evertune experience with a solar guitar it was horribly set up coming from Thomann and totally turned me off the guitar but the worst thing was the bridge rattled like crazy in the 1st and 7th saddles so back it went. However i still find myself very drawn to it, getting rid of pitch drift in the lowest string... yes pls

$1800 seems like a lot for a Schecter. But considering it has Lundgrens and an Evertune, I'm impressed.
He’s never reviewed a hard tail style schecter that’s why he never 100% loved them.
I'm sure it has more to do with the fact that he's not a fan of superstrats.
Floyd Rose is a deal breaker for me. Same with a locking nut. The second I see that crap I'm out.
For real. The hellraiser with a hard tail is got tier. My absolute favorite guitar of all time
I love my Schecter, an absolute go-to for any situation

Km7 is a fucking beautiful beast. I could only afford a c7 SLS elite which gets the job done.

He gave it heart but said nothing
I was a fan before, but the LegalEagle vid in the background adds another layer of respect. I appreciate all you do brother.
The breakdown riff with the chords in the back was an absolute bop.
I personally am very offended that you didnt run the lundgrens through the 6505 or the Mesa, but rather you ran them through the boomer bee hive.

Wish you could do a review of the new Keith Merrow sigs
So.. I'm packing my things to go back home after work and I get an Agufish notification. Guess I'll stay a bit longer.
Schecter is the shizzle! They spec the shit out of every price range, while maintaining quality and reasonable pricing. 🎸🎶
I had the hard tail version. And I sent it back traded it in on a esp e2 baritone. I liked the Mach 7, it just didn’t bond with me.
I think E-II is a notch higher than Schecter in that price range too.
I just the evil twin with a floyd rose. Its beautiful and plays insane. Just need to get the action lower.
I have a loomis 7 08 version with the thicker neck and 707 emg ....I like it but I grabbed one of these today and after getting the action nice and low it just shreds so beautifully
Better than the PRS Mark Holcomb Seven in Walnut? High praise indeed! Evertune for the win I suppose!
