@CelestialEnchantments 432 thats true, but i kinda forget about them, cuz i am not a big fan of superstart, but bc rich`s ones shreddzillas looks so fucking cool tho
Bill Xavier is a good guy. I’ve chatted with him before. He’s really active with the player base. There was an incident a month or so ago where. One of the new warlocks found its way to a guitar center with some flaws in the binding. Bill personally called the GC to get it pulled from the shelf and called the customer that discovered the guitar personally to apologize. He’s a solid guy.
He seems to really love the company and is actually qualified to bring it back to glory. He was VP of Peavey for years and handled all of the EVH stuff.
The thing about BC Rich is they keep their shapes a certain way so they can be weapons when the next revolution happens, it takes "get me my axe" to a whole new level.
Chris Spawn yeah same here, not only do I like the shapes but I’ve always thought they feel and sound killer!. I have a “older” NT Warlock and it’s amazing, I’ll never give that guitar up
I was really feeling your intro jam for this video, that was your best work yet IMO! I really appreciate your transparency, honesty, and unbiased opinions. Thanks for kicking so much ass!
I did the pre-order and got the Extreme Jr V with a Floyd and it's brilliant. Plays great and looks great. My guitar teacher immediately asked for first dibs if I ever consider selling it.
Been Playing BC Rich since 1985, my first was a 1978 Mockingbird. I also have a 1980 Bich. Still have both. Nice to see they are finally making quality guitars again. I have a 2012 Mockingbird ST which plays nice but these new ones look pretty off the hook! Hopefully they will show up at my local guitar store so I can check them out!
Yeah I always felt that the Mockingbird was their answer to the Les Paul. Lots of their shapes seem to be metal versions of classics. The Virgin is the SG, the Beast is the Explorer, the Mockingbird is the Les Paul, etc. So if you're used to a certain body shape, you might enjoy the BC Rich equivalent

Smart move by BC Rich to pay you to review this. I had completely written off BC Rich, but this is something I would be interested in. Awesome to hear they are made at WMI!
Great review. I own 3 2019 BCRs. Two of them are the actual guitars on the BCR and vendor site because I bought the preproduction models. I own the Extreme Exotic Jr. V and Prophecy Shredzilla w/ Evertune. It's really cool seeing pics if my guitars all over the world. Lastly, I own a Legacy Exotic Stealth.
Most beautiful sounding and looking guitar ive ever seen. Ive got an ibanez jem and wanted something heavy with the fishmans and satin finish. To change it up. And this im buying. Thank you.
It's good to see BC Rich has returned from obscurity to once again compete in the rock market. Iconic guitars for sure. But they are a long way from Bernie Rico's original vision for the company, BUT, in my opinion they are headed in the right direction!
The Mockingbird is just my favorite guitar. I've had neck- thru ones, ones with fixed bridges, ones with original Floyds. with Passive Dimarzio, with Active EMG.Thanks for the Demo of this one with The Evertune and Fishmans!
I just played a few of these at GC earlier today and I can say these are probably some of the best set-up floyd rose equipped guitars I've played in a WHILE. I've been a fan of the mockinbird body shape for a minute (thanks to Hide from X Japan) and really am considering getting one of these. I just wish they also did these with the classic headstock as well.
Honestly, I don't know if it was the combo of Fishman's and 6505 but this was the heaviest sounding rig I have ever heard on your channel. Whata killer sound and looking guitar. BC Rich made a big come back.
So 2 things pop into my head at the 2:30 mark. 1, I really like this guitar! And that is saying something for me because 2, I want to go play my bass to what you were playing! Thanks for the great vid and making me want to dust off my bass!
As of 4 ~ 5 yrs now , the original mockingbird was named the best guitar design of all time. Lucky for me , im waiting on a new trans black mock legacy ( absolutely beautiful and flawless in craftsmanship and over all a very high quality build ) If it didn't say Korea on the back , you would diffantly believe this was an American or Japanese high end guitar. Im 54 yrs old and the guitar i always wanted ~ no not a Gibson or Fender , but a true B.C. Rich Bich in Dragons Blood. I have a 6 month wait on it ~ but 6 months compared wanting one for 50 yrs .. Im good and a high quality Mockingbird is on its way ( unsure how to show pics ) but absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately don't see my Gibson's getting much playing time anymore.. But if your looking for an original 70's series , since 2019 B.C. Rich is no doubt the best on the market. I've bought high end Ibanez ( Indonesia made along with ESP ) i don't have neither from the 1st month buying them and there not missed. Also the cost was more for a $1600 u.s. Ibanez than my Mockingbird or Bich at $1399.00 u.s. , but they just went up to $1,499 ~ the new pro B.C. Rich hardshell case for $269.00 ~ buy it !
Man, the mockingbird takes me back. They used to sell these little miniature figurine guitars from Walmart. I had a green mockingbird and a couple other Gibsons i think lol also those Fishmans sound incredible.
Oh man, give me that guitar without the abalone and in flamed burst red like the one slash used back in the days and I'm sold. BTW, have you seen the new Amarok series from Harley Benton? Especially the 7strings. Man those specs for 599€ is extremely tempting. Maybe we see a demo of one of those 7 strings 😬😬. Anyways back to the bc rich demo, man awesome as always. And that you made that disclosure made it just even better. Good for you to get more than just those 3$ bucks from RUclips😂 Edit: just saw that they had that in trans red burst. If only the abalone would be gone 😒
I bought a second hand BC RICH Mockingbird Special X from a pawn shop not to long ago. I was very impressed with the build quality and surprised by the "vintage" feel it had. yeah the body sits f**king weird but given the scale length, typical les paul pickup/control layout and mahogany construction, it was nice to play.
Funny that for me that is the smoothest guitars. Those curves are elegant and is really the only shape bc rich that I’ve been drawn to. I have been looking and with that reverse neck even though the sides are not rounded its curve is still elegant. Thanks for sharing I’m sure that you have sold them a few. I know I’m thinking of what to tell my wife right now as to how to get one soon. I’m at hey can we take vacation in a few years so I can get this sick guitar. lol

I've always loved BC rich.. I've owned several thru the years. Love the new ones but yeah can't see spending 1500+ on one. Glad to see they're back tho and I hope they get some new artists using them and giving them the exposure they deserve.

I always thought mockingbirds were the metal dad guitar. This one in particular definitely looks more metal but a lot of the others I've seen are the perfect mix of a dad guitar and a metal guitar. Buying one on Saturday and I cannot wait
Yay, bc rich jumped on the Fishman bandwagon just as everyone is getting over the hype and going back to EMG’s. And the abalone, I thought that got left behind like 10 years ago? I had 3 BC Rich’s in the 80’s. Still wished I had my ironbird. That thing was cool🤘🏻
If Gibson isn't so hellbent on keeping their cashcow Slash, the world needs an actual Slash signature Mockingbird. They posted on their IG story a while back he was taking new ones on the road with him, and I noticed that the post was mysteriously taken down after a few hours.
I LOVE my Mockingbirds! It's all I play these days, I just find them fun and expressive. I don't like the 6 in a row headstocks, 3 either side for me, and the controls are in terrible spots, but they are such a joy to play.
I have the cyan version. Beautifully built guitar but heavy! Biggest problem with BC Rich guitars is that I had a Shredzilla on order for ages that took so long I just took the Mockingbird they had in stock. Have not regretted it but did have to buy a Jackson SL2 as well. All Fishman! :)
They just hijacked Schecters Hellraiser Abalone binding and ESPs matte finish from LTD ec-1000 and whatever pickups the kids use... it works though , and I like Slash, and Tony Iommi and Joe Perry... so I’ll always like BC rich and this is a nice looking guitar... I like that it doesn’t have a zillion switches ... I always loved the pickup switch on the upper bout like a Les Paul. End rant.
Nice review and riffing as usual. I need one of these, and the warbeast. Also, us pointy guitar guys don't like pointy guitars because you can bludgeon someone with them. We also love them simply because they're metal AF. 🤘😆🤘
yes, the thing about FLUENCE is like you say, they can be "tuned" to match different types pf pickups.....so you are really getting a couple of sets of pickups (at least) maybe even 3 sets (granted, fluence are quite expensive but it's cancelled out by the tuning feature) You can really hear the difference when the Fluence's are tuned a particular way. Sure there are pedals that can do this kind of stuff but having the actual pickup do it right at source ...............must be way better. Storming guitar, i love the evertune and can't wait for them to reduce it's Size (they are working on making the evertune smaller) It's a very high quality guitar ........it's an out and out winner. It looks fantastic. yeah, the quality speaks volumes. THey are mixing with the best by releasing a guitar like that. They are kind of making a statement that they DO NOT do things by halves. Congratulations to a brand that sat in the wings for many years and was swamped by competitors. Anyhow.....thanks V
Bro your demo songs are getting pretty damn good! I've been struggling wit finishing a song for a long time now, do you think you could do a video series on writing and recording all of the parts for the demo songs?
I think actually this guitar really suits you. Also that song of yours was killer! Do you have it on spotify or anywhere? Seems like a really ace guitar!
I agree about the location of the electronics which is odd since their legacy series and prophecy series don’t have this issue. Apparently they are going to be expanding their prophecy line to other shapes other than the new Shredzilla. They just posted a picture of a few single pick up Warlock and Ironbird guitars which actually look quite similar to older Bc Rich’s. I have always loved BC Rich and own an old NJ Warlock and I am absolutely stoked about their relaunch. There are a few things I would have done a bit differently myself or at least structured the lineups differently. The one thing I want most of all is to have a Kahler trem System as an option or at least see some more hardtail options in case one wants to install one. Also I think the legacy series should have the iconic “R” on the headstock as I think the one they went with is hard to decipher or doesn’t really fit what the legacy series is about. A lot of iconic players have sadly moved away from BC Rich and I think if I were BC Rich wants to remind everyone who played a BC Rich they would come out with an “Iconic” line which would feature guitars modelled after the ones famous players used without ever stating who these players were directly. Examples: “The Kerry” Mockingbird: Modelled after Kerry King’s first BC Rich: Red Mockingbird, DiMarzio pickups, Kahler trem, R logo headstock. “The Trey” Ironbird: Modelled after Trey Azagthoth (Morbid Angel) Red “instagib “ Ironbird, PAF pickup, Trem System, reverse headstock “The Dave” Modelled after Dave Mustaine’s Bich he used on the first two Megadeth albums. In either case I am absolutely looking forward to getting one. I’m just unsure which one. I was looking at the white Warlock extreme but the location of the electronics puts me off a bit. I was thinking of getting the exotic version of the Mockingbird you played but I also was going to install a Kahler trem and I’m not sure if that would be feasible with the Evertune. I love the natural finished Mockingbird in the Legacy lineup but again the logo and the Floyd put me off. I might just have to wait to see if any more ones get released. I guess I just grew up with images of a lot of 80s and 90s players playing them and much like when people pick up a Strat or a Les Paul they are reminded of players who used those guitars and inspired them to use it, id like that same feeling when I pick up a Bich (Dave Mustain, Joe Perry, John Christ), or Warlock (James Murphy, Rick Rozz) or Ironbird (Trey Azagthoth) or Mockingbird (Matt Harvey, Kerry King, Slash etc) and I’m just not getting it from these new models. It’s not that they are bad or anything it’s just they are missing that subconscious or emotional connection from their legacy. I was seriously considering the Handcrafted Bich but I think for that kind of money I may as well look into their custom shop, especially since Moser is back with them.
FYI, according to what's trending on Twitter, today is National Horny Day. You're welcome, that's your quarantine fact for the day.

Bindings ugly. Volume and switches in the way.
Lol hunter thinks this guitar is “too” pointy. Have you seen B.C. Rich’s other guitars this one seems like a Les Paul compare to those 😂😂
Erik Gomez oh yeah, they get pointier
Like the Ironbird, Draco, Virgo, Ignitor, Virgin, Wave, Zombie, Warlock, Warbeast and Beast.
I love my Warbeast.

You can't say you've truly "experienced" a B.C. Rich until you've pretended to use one as a medieval weapon.

That might be why ESP has been shying away from that one their newer 1000 series LTD models

I like that it doesn’t have a zillion switches ... I always loved the pickup switch on the upper bout like a Les Paul. End rant.
That's a B.C. Rich I'd be proud to own.
Nice review and riffing as usual. I need one of these, and the warbeast. Also, us pointy guitar guys don't like pointy guitars because you can bludgeon someone with them. We also love them simply because they're metal AF. 🤘😆🤘
I really like that guitar!
yes, the thing about FLUENCE is like you say, they can be "tuned" to match different types pf pickups.....so you are really getting a couple of sets of pickups (at least) maybe even 3 sets (granted, fluence are quite expensive but it's cancelled out by the tuning feature)
You can really hear the difference when the Fluence's are tuned a particular way. Sure there are pedals that can do this kind of stuff but having the actual pickup do it right at source ...............must be way better.
Storming guitar, i love the evertune and can't wait for them to reduce it's Size (they are working on making the evertune smaller)
It's a very high quality guitar ........it's an out and out winner. It looks fantastic.
yeah, the quality speaks volumes. THey are mixing with the best by releasing a guitar like that. They are kind of making a statement that they DO NOT do things by halves.
Congratulations to a brand that sat in the wings for many years and was swamped by competitors.
Anyhow.....thanks

Bro your demo songs are getting pretty damn good! I've been struggling wit finishing a song for a long time now, do you think you could do a video series on writing and recording all of the parts for the demo songs?
Maybe an AskuFish segment
What song was that he started playing at 16:30? I know I’ve heard it before but can’t place it...
thanks to Bill Xavier and his friends, BC Rich is back!
Good to see BC Rich back. Now, please, can we some proper basses? :)
I think that's the first time in history anyone has used the word "subtle" about a BC Rich guitar.
I laughed too.
Only thing that would have been funnier would have been hearing it being said by Kerry King or Blackie Lawless.
I think actually this guitar really suits you. Also that song of yours was killer! Do you have it on spotify or anywhere? Seems like a really ace guitar!
BC Rich for Life 🤘🤘🤘
I've been wanting one of these ever since they were released
Excellent vid, Agufish! So, when are you going to review an Ironbird Exotic?
What kind of fret wrap is the one on the headstock?
Examples:
“The Kerry” Mockingbird: Modelled after Kerry King’s first BC Rich: Red Mockingbird, DiMarzio pickups, Kahler trem, R logo headstock.
“The Trey” Ironbird: Modelled after Trey Azagthoth (Morbid Angel) Red “instagib “ Ironbird, PAF pickup, Trem System, reverse headstock
“The Dave” Modelled after Dave Mustaine’s Bich he used on the first two Megadeth albums.
That sounds so awesome I gotta get one
