As I watch your videos I grow to care more about my truck. We have been getting more and more snow here in MN. Do you have a suggestion on safest brush to clean snow off?
Can you control what psi the compressor pumps to, or is it specific? Wondering because this compressor could also be used to pump up tires, etc.
I bought one of these a couple of months ago, and in all honesty, has been the best accessory purchase I've made in years. Expensive, but worth every penny.
Good Morning Pan! I see your videos and I especially enjoyed the one in October with Matt from OG! Just 1 question- I drive my GTD gold here roughly 100 miles a day here in Florence, Italy and I need to put a coating on my wheels- I used Csl+ exo in 2021 when I first purchased it, and then Geyon Synchro last year . Both did not last long! What is your advice? Matt now adds DLux +gliss-
After I wash my wheels I also top them with Geyeon wet coat! Here in Italy a lot of people use this local brand Labocosmetica! Thanks

@@Ridth-one Are you able to plug it into an outlet? Batteries don't last forever, and capacity goes time with each recharge. After 2 years, no one knows battery capacity

@@cheesedoodle2327 No, it's not a replacement for a pressure washer, but it's great for applying a pre-rinse, APC, wheel and tire cleaner, etc. very efficiently
I bought a battery-powered tire inflator and build my own version of this e-Foam sprayer. I am glad that IK releasing its own version.

I personally have the ik foam pro v2 and I just use my air compressor, works just fine 🙂
A year ago I bought this foamer and added cordless air pump for additional $30 and use it exclusively at coin-operated car wash…pre-pump with my home air compressor then hook air pump to shrader valve…works great and don’t have to use industrial soap from car wash.
What is the difference between a pump and the built in pump?

Always do. I did send you a message on your actual website. I was contacted yesterday about winning a pressure washer and the IK foam cannon. It was from your RUclips platform. That IK is definitely the "Ferrari" of Pump Sprayers. The battery is a nice option on the IK for people who do not have an air compressor. Hope you are well Pan the man! Spring is not that far away buddy. It's almost 80 degrees here in Louisville, KY today and a very nice break from a brutally cold, windy, and wet winter we have had down here in the Ohio Valley.
You're lucky Joe! Here we are still near freezing, and so much snow outside it will likely take until May before it melts haha.
Marolex, IK, and Pressol sprayers are all awesome for their intended purposes. I use a large volume DeWalt pump foamer similar to this IK foamer.
Sweet looking product Pan which would make life easier. The only improvement would be an indicator of battery life without taking off the cover. Thank you and enjoy the cool sprayer.

I just got the Ik 12 pro manual and love how it works. I mix a 4% solution of Gyeon Foam in distilled water in the tank with the grey(default) solution metering hose and pump the tank up to the max pressure(about 60 psi). The result is great quality foam that clings very well to my coated car. Because it's a pump sprayer, it's more economical on the amount of expensive soap that I use and also uses less water than the foam gun I had been using. I use about 2 liters of solution with about 80 ml of soap to wash the entire car.

Having a hard time justifying NOT getting that attachment for my IK Foam Pro 12 😅 seems like a no-brainer. No more pumping and no hauling out the (much louder) air compressor, looks like a winner to me

I enjoyed the video, as always, but am not sure why almost every product demonstration on RUclips has to be a shootout between two products. It's fast becoming a stale model.
In this case, especially, we're not really comparing apples to apples. The IK-e's in a class by itself.

I Own the IK E Foamer and love no more pumping and especially use it with DIY Rinseless as a pre rinse . I would recommend if storing product in the foamer make your solution with distilled water for longer term storage.
@PanTheOrganizer you can also get the low budget combination:
- iK Foam Pro 2 Plus (that also has a Schrader valve) and then you add
- Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 1S
You start the compressor to fill it up (until valve pops) and start spraying, once you start spraying you again can turn on the compressor and keep spraying the entire car. If you want more pressure just take 10s pauses from time to time for the pressure to build up. This is my DIY setup :)

So I was thinking about doing detailing on the weekends on my days off as a hobby and today I noticed over at the car wash in town, there's a guy with a small trailer and a sign that said detailer 😑 the car was in town kinda sucks and is really run down that's part of the reason I started watching RUclips and learning how to do it myself at home. Also it saves sooooo much money doing it yourself at home vs at a coin wash.
I have looking into this foam application tool. Thank you for the video. I was hoping for a demonstration of the 3 different tips ie.. green, gray, orange before I decide to purchase.
That's a lot to ask! HAHA. I just keep the regular tips and it works just fine.
Great review. 👍🏾 I got the foam pro 12. Use it in the wintertime in my garage. It’s the best. I got an compressor near by so I won’t get attachment. But is good for a mobile detailer or someone who loves in a apartment/condo.

Thanks Jeff. Just keep in mind, the machine isn't doing the dirt removal, the snow foam you put in it does. And there are only a handful of snow foams that are actually meant for deeper cleaning, like Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam and CarPro Lift which I have demonstrated in this video: ruclips.net/video/8j5dJUM8Fb4/видео.html
And regardless how good a pre-wash snow foam is, you always need to follow up with a contact wash for 100% clean surface. ;)

Great option for those who dont have pressure washers. Myself will still prefer the original foam cannon
I also prefer a foam cannon with a pressure washer setup. But yeah for those who don't have those, a battery powered foam sprayer like this is the next best option.
Just bought two of this from the clean garage .. going to buy a 3rd one soon have different products in them ready to go.
I have the smaller sprayer under a different name , works good for me as I have a smaller car but ik is the one to have if your cleaning cars all day long
I have iK without the battery. Definitely need to use it more often!
Man this would have been so helpful to have had when I was living in an apartment. My last car was wrapped and I couldn’t use the soap at normal car washes since it would stain the wrap so I used to only do the contact wash. Was always looking for a portable foam sprayer and this would have been legit!

IK foam pro 12 is great with the compressor I use it to foam down my Yukon xl and it suits me well since i don’t have a pressure washer or foam cannon but it allows me to lay down a hefty amount of foam. Definitely one of my most useful purchases. The compressor is such a time and arm saver

@Pan The Organizer We're hanging in! Believe or not it actually snowed here a few days ago! The mountains were covered! Not enough to hit the streets but man I've never seen it on the mountains so close!
I have had this Ik machine for 2/3 years now. Pretty nice, but the wand nozzle filter needs more perfecting as it gunks up too easy and requires cleaning. Ik should offer bags of replacement nozzle filters because at the moment you have to buy the entire nozzle tip and the retail sellers are charging $15 for replacement tips. Improve the nozzle filter system!
looks cool but I had so many issues with the small ik foamer that I think I'll pass... if I spent 100 plus dollars and it performed as well as the small foamer ... just not worth the high blood pressure
What issues did you have? I have both the original Foam 1.5 and new Foam Pro 2 and never had issues with either one. Did you reach out to IK or to the place you purchased it from?
@Pan The Organizer I purchased through Adams I think...I could never keep it operational. it would work for 1 tire. then just squirt.. tried cleaning it, and replacing the filter... thought I had it and it would work for 2 tires and crap out...I figured out it wasn't the filter it was the seals... bought a replacement pack... tried it worked for a car then the rubber seals wouldn't sit right and I would be right back to where i was..as an enthusiast washing my car is a relaxing experience to destress from the week... the ik foamer needed to be removed from the process to protect my sanity..lol
I use the Ik foam pro 12 alone as my foam cannon it’s 100% better then the foam cannon that attaches too the pressure washer it’s way less runny and sits on the paint longer giving u more time especially in direct sun which as a professional detailer I’m in all the time I’m incredibly glad IK released the air compressor pack they know them selves the Ik foam pro 12 has insane potential too replace traditional foam cannon also saves me more water considering I only use my pressure washer for rinsing instead of rinsing and foaming the psi on the IK is perfect

@@HarryBallsss yes I’ve used both the pump version is fantastic for sure works well and produces good thick foam that isn’t very runny the battery jus makes it way better takes out the need too pump

@@HarryBallsss ofc bro and depends how much you fill it up the less air the less pumping the more air the more pumping my advice too u is fill it with a gallon of water then whatever soap of your choice but in terms of how much it needs too be pumped it does take a bit of pumps for it too be at max pressure but for me it’s no issue but the battery is 100% worth it regardless if u wash ur own car or detail car’s professionally like I do

After watching a YT video about a year and half ago I added a battery powered air compressor to my IK Foam Pro 12 and it works great. Now it doesn't last 60 minutes but I can do 2 cars before it needs to be charged. I only use it for applying Bilt-Hamber Touchless and Auto-foam, sometimes other products if it's not too dirty but between Bilt-Hamber and this battery powered foamer, salt and muck don't stand a chance on my car❗️
I've got about $170 total tied up in my machine but if someone pays the price here your getting quality, period💯

Yeah it's a mess here in Montreal, way more than in Vancouver, rest assured haha. We had -40C to -45C temps in early February, and had so much snowfall this past month, it's nuts. I'll likely put a short video on my Instagram and TikTok accounts soon.

If it wasn't the high price I would definitely buy that, very useful.
I would love to see you use the IKE with 60 psi from your compressor and see how far you can go on a car. I would only put in one or two quarts and 60 psi to see if it would do the whole car. I always have a compressor hose handy.
No point in using an air compressor when you have the battery operated one directly on the unit itself.

Many have added portable battery Compressor and attached it to them for less than the $155 that IK IS charging.
IK coming along with the electronic version I like it. Plus you have the pump and Schrader valve which is great! Have you tried incredible suds with this?

@Pan The Organizer I've used it in a foam pro 2 and its insane. I can't imagine the 12 e, the ROAR coating is still going strong, and the 911 turbo s still as beautiful as day 1

Can this be used to perform routine car wash or is it just for pre-wash. Ideally if I am buying this tool it would be to foam the car and use the mitts or if the car is not so dirty I could also use some touchless soap and then rinse the car. Am I having unreasonable expectations?
Yeah those are unreasonable expectations. This isn’t made to fully clean a car. You’d still need a garden hose or pressure washer.

The Red SPTA looks exactly the same as the one which is sold by Shine in France :) .
SPTA likely makes sprayers for a bunch of other brands.
I still struggle with my Axel 2000 from Marolex. Can't figure out the prewash to water proportions and what nozzle to choose. It always builds up at the end ot the nozzle and runs down.
Q: does it fit in the frunk of the 911? I have a 981 (similar frunk size) and would take this to the car wash. Thanks for checking Pan!
Pan, for winter I want a pump foam sprayer for visiting a Pressure Washer Car Wash Bay establishment as washing the car on my parents driveway like in the spring to fall months will not be easy. I bring my own 1 or 2 bucket wash buckets and wash mitts or microfiber towels and soap. Just use the Car Wash bay pressure washer water only. So is this IK e-Foam Pro 12 the best for foaming as close as possible to Foam Cannon like my MJJC Pro V2? Is any of the Marolex ones even the Axel Foamer 7000 model exceeding this one?
I’m looking at buying one for a pre foam cleaner prior to using in a self serve washing bay. This is for winter washing. What foam does everyone use as a pre cleaning agent to loosen dirt so that when I wash off with the pressure washer the car is clean? Do I need a higher PH?
Letting that foam sit on the car without washing it off is driving me crazy er. Great Video.
Snow foams are supposed to dwell on the surface for a certain amount of minutes. Follow the instructions on the label of the product you are using.
Also, as I work indoors, I have a longer working period without having to worry about the snow foam drying on the surface.

It is a good comparison of what you can get as an expert for maybe mobile detailing. But for the average person, at almost 4x the price the comparison is a little bit like comparing an EcoBoost Mustang to a GT500. You'll get to 60 faster in the GT500, but is 3x the price worth it for the average person?
I am a minimalist. Could you please compile a list of products that would do "the most" with using the least? What i mean exactly is I want to effectively keep my car clean and looking good without having dozens of products and spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on supplies. Exterior only for this focus question. The more videos I watch the longer my list of items to buy, I'm looking to simplify the list. For tires and wheels, should I use a one and done product with iron remover or have separate products? I was my car one a week. I have a foam gun with a garden hose. Any advice for the minimalist would be awesome.

Hey Pan, great video! In the winter I don't have access to a garage so I need to use the self serve wash but don't want to use their soap. Would you recommend using this for my snow foam? Or just pretreat? Maybe I'll bring a bucket of hot soap water for contact wash but hope you could advise

Hey Pan! Would you buy two of these, one foamer and one sprayer - not necessarily battery operated. I don’t have access to water/garage come winter.
My thinking here is to use your recommended GSF in one (foam) for grime removal, and maybe a Rinseless in the other to remove the foam

Yes that would work. Buy a foaming one for the Gsf (like IK Foam Pro 9 or Pro 12) and a small Morolex 2000 Ergo series pump sprayer for the rinseless wash. See my rinseless wash tutorial: ruclips.net/video/p58Y5qRd3OU/видео.html

Hey Pan, when I first got my Foam Pro12 a few years ago I did not have an air compressor so I had to pump it the old fashion way. I also fought with the dilution ratio and concluded I should use less soap (GSF) and had better luck but gave up using this tool. You are not wrong, experimenting is most definitely required! I was super excited with the IK announcement and am blown away with the foaming capabilities with the battery pack and plan on learning more about the perfect ratio when the weather warms up. I've also got my eye on that new PPF sprayer to aid my biweekly rinseless washing regimen that I plan on implementing!

If you have a Foam Pro 12 simply buy a portable car air compressor and double sided velcro tape... You do not need to buy this, unless of course you want to.
Any experience using the air compressor as the pressure charger for the unit instead of the battery compressor? Useful time, consistency of spray etc. I think I like that method as opposed to the battery charging. I used a pump sprayer now for wheel/tire cleaning to avoid all that hand fatigue with manual spray heads.
Using an air compressor yields the same foam, it’s just that you have to refill with air more often as compared to having the IK compressor on the sprayer keeping perfect pressure automatically. It’s convenience.
What about using it with rinse-less washes. I think since I am apartment living the smaller spta will probably be the better option
This is a foaming sprayer so not meant for rinseless washes. For those, use the regular sprayers like the IK Multi Pro 2. Link: amzn.to/3mjVhxb

Not yet. But perhaps they are thinking of smaller versions.
For me Pan it's hands down the IK-E sprayer that wins, it not only sprayed better it handled the job with ease. Ty mate enjoyed seeing is excellent product in action and as always your brilliant description and details.

I just moved to a condo with an underground car washing bay these days, however, those coin washing machines do not provide thick foam AT ALL. So people can just wash their cars without any safe pre-wash. Previously, I used a cordless pressure washer with a foam cannon to create thick snow foam. However, every time I need to carry 3 buckets of water to the washing bay it wastes a lot of effort and time. More importantly, the foaming process is not stable all the time. Sometimes I got a good foam but sometimes don't, that's also the reason why I buy IK e FOAM pro 12.
I was amazed by this product (although it is quite expensive), I don't need to bring one more extra bucket anymore and I can create nice and thick foam easily. But these days I switch my pre-wash shampoo to Bilt Hamber touchless shampoo and suggest a PIR dilution ratio of 2~5%. Anyone knows how to calculate this on IK e Foam 12? (It is quite different to the usual PIR calculation process on other pressure washer...)👍

For this foam pump sprayer, basically you'd use a shampoo or snow foam, or a foaming wheel cleaner like Brake Buster dilute 1:5 or the Auto Fanatic Foaming Wheel Cleaner.
Usual great video Pan! I’m just considering between multi 12 pro plus and foam pro 12. My main chemical is DIY rinseless wash but i also like foaming. Could you recommend me between multi and foam?
That's impossible. If you want to use a pump sprayer for a rinseless wash, you need to use a normal sprayer like the Multi. If you want to foam a product like a snow foam or wheel cleaner, you have to get a foaming pump sprayer like the Foam Pro 12. You need two separate tools for two different kinds of products.

The IK is nice but I can buy 3 of the Spta sprayers at around the same price. Which gives me more options as well.

Great video. I bought I K foam pro 2 and other products that mention in your order videos to clean my car, the only thing I’m missing is a cleaner to spray before whipping the car with my Rag company drying towel so it’s not scratching the paint. Any product in mind?

This particular version is meant for foaming type products. I don't know if they have a regular battery powered sprayer.

Bonjour Pan, merci pour la vidéo explicative et démonstrative de l’iIK e.foam pro 12 que tu viens de mettre en ligne, coïncidence je viens de recevoir le mien ce midi que je viens tout juste de terminer de monter mais pas encore testé. Perso j’ai changé au montage le tube d’aspiration de liquide installé d’origine afin de mettre celui réservé aux véhicules livré avec la boîte. Avec quelle couleur d’embout de ce tuyau fais-tu ta démonstration ? Cela m’évitera d’en changer en station de lavage.
Perso je vais réserver mon Foamer electrique d’1,8L acquis dans cette même commande pour les jantes. Penses-tu que sa capacité (contenance) est suffisante pour traiter les 4 roues et passages de roues ?

I think IK has some of the better sprayers in the market.
I would agree. IK and Marolex are top tier.
I do the same with my portable Xiaomi inflator.

I stick to intermediate for everything.
As a mobile detailer how do you let customers know that you need to use the water faucet and an outlet if you don't have a generator or water tank? I'd just be bringing stuff in the back of my car.
It's all about communication. You talk to the customer beforehand, when establishing the services required and the pricing, and let them you know are starting your business, and before you reinvest in buying generators and water tanks, you will use their water & electricity. If worded correctly, customers rarely refuse.
Pan, can the IK Pro 12 Foamer be used for Rinseless Wash
It's a foaming type pump sprayer so it needs a product that has foaming agents. I wouldn't recommend this for just rinseless washes.
I realize surfactants are needed for foam, but can this be used with products like ONR as a pre-treatment spray?
