Half right. They release products incrementally. They knew about the valve long before DIYrs. When sales get to a certain point they release the upgrade.
Why did they create a battery pack when portable inflators exists?

Have your tried it for rinseless washing? Curious about the result with Absolute or ONR. Super interesting product!
I feel like the hand pump sprayers are more than adequate for rinseless. You can even get away with just a spray bottle
Just assembled mine and tested DIY rinseless on my ceramic shower tile. This rinseless gal will be foaming on #washwednesday. Looks good. Can’t wait.

I’d use it to foam a vehicle then use Absolute to rinse off my soap👍. Can’t wait to try this🤜🏽
Does the compressor attachment also work to add to a multi 12? I’m thinking it’ll be perfect for citrus prewash that doesn’t need to be foamed. Also wonder if mini handheld versions are in the works for future 🤔
You can easily convert a foam pro to a multi. Just remove the filter and cover the hole in the suction tube.

You can, I've converted my Foam Pro 12's to Multi's. Remove the filter tip and cover the hole in the suction tube with tape.

Use a small portable battery pump. I have the 20v Worx pump and love it.
@@Jeeper1378 Any battery pump will work but this is way more proper and functional since there's no messing around with going back to a pump.
@@Jeeper1378 Have you checked out Milwaukee's M12 Garden sprayer? With a shorter wand I reckon that'd be ideal for detailers.
The Milwaukee M18 Inflator would be perfect accessory to pump air into the schrader valve.

IK needs to work on the hose next. Almost impossible to manipulate when cold.

Yes you can, however the sprayer featured in this video is the foamer so in order to use a rinseless wash you will want to use the IK MULTI PRO 12+

As an ex-valeter, and hobby detailer, I'm always interested in new detailing products.
This isn't very good, the foam is thin, and takes too long to apply as the sprayer is so weak.
Mobile detailers would have a proper jetwash system anyway, and just use a foam gun attachment which is much faster and more powerful. You would still need a jetwasher to rinse anyway, so I honestly don't understand why they would want to carry this thing around on top of the other equipment, especially when it isn't very good.
Thick foam is just for show, it doesn't actually DO anything other than leave a mess on the floor!
@@tonyhill1916 While I do agree to a certain point, that really thick bath foam type snow foam isn't beneficial, it does have to be a certain thickness to cling to the paint, for long enough so the product has time to dissolve the dirt and grime.
If it is too this, it just runs off before the chemical has had enough time to actually react.
This 'foam' (in the video I have actually commented on), is too thin, and too weak to actually dissolve the dirt and grime.

How would you go about washing and rinsing after foaming? I understand how this would work for rinseless, but if I have no hose and foam and wash with soap, how would you rinse? Another sprayer with something like a rinseless solution?
I use a portable pressure washer that is battery operated since it doesn’t need to be directly connected to a water supply line or I use a bucket with rinseless wash and towels. To dry the vehicle I then use a detail spray which will help remove any residue missed when wiping with the rinseless wash.
I do this method. Absolute rinseless pre spray . Foam it after then hit it with a wash mitt . 2 buckets method then spray again with absolute falls right down

Thank you Anthony for giving a detailed assembly and guide on how to use the IK Pro 12 Foamer. I bought mine from the Detailing Shed here is Sydney, Australia in November and have used it both mobile and at home for prewashing with Optimum Power Clean. As its summer here I’ve then applied Koch Chemie Vb with a foam cannon at a very weak dilution, 1:50, to keep it wet and even white cars and cars with heavy build up on their wheels have needed only a superficial contact clean. As the unit takes 58psi, I’ve used a Makita inflator set to 55 psi and I’ve been able to do an entire SUV with quite thick foam using the same nozzle you used. Do IK do a 12 Sprayer or is there a spray nozzle available to be swapped on in place of the foam nozzle? I have found a 2 litre IK sprayer a little bit small and I’m already allergic to pumping. 😅😅 Thanks, Lloyd
How loud is the compressor? Could it be used early in the morning outside?
I don’t have a lot of hose because mine is only 3FT, but can I buy a portable inflator instead of an air compressor to assist ?

Can you change the filters to make thicker foam? Rather then hold for longer? Also if I take out the foam filter will it just spray out liquid? Rather then foam? So I can snow foam then change to Iron fall out or Apc ECT...

This is an awesome product but out of all honesty, when it comes to time, that can be a problem. The amount of time spend foaming up the entire vehicle took a bit of time compared to just just using pressure washer and foam cannon. I would say this is more so better for foaming the wheels and wheel wells.
The thing is, you’re exclusively thinking in terms where a pressure washer, foam cannon and unlimited water supply are readily available- This is meant to help for those where they aren’t. (Or for those who just don’t want to deal with those things)
It allows the user to be self-sufficient in a way that relying on a power supply, water supply or fuel canisters for a gas washer simply don’t. (Namely, mobile detailing or operations in remote areas)
You’re certainly not wrong as far as your needs are concerned, but there are plenty of people out there who find this will give them new options they previously weren’t able to explore.
Is the container a different design from the original? I bought the add on compressor for the 2 Foam Pro 12 I already have, but the air hose blocks the area where the wand goes….so its difficulty to slide the wand into the designated holding area.
Can you use just water for this for rinsing?
i’d use an ik “multi” that doesn’t foam for that

I have 2 foam pro 12 and 3 pro 12 but this battery pack only works with the foam 12 at present. Why hasn’t ik added the valve to the pro 12 so it can be used for rindless washes and such like which would be awesome or can a runs less wash be used in the foam pro such as absolute?. I will be buying one of these battery packs but they are pricey but I always say you get what you pay for. Great vid as always.
You can make the foam pro 12 work like the multi pro 12 if you cover or seal the hole in side of the internal tip and remove the cotton filter

You can leave product in it, just make sure to depressurize it before storing
The red nozzle that comes with the foam pro 12 suckssssssss. Makes 3 lines of foam with little in between. Take the purple nozzle off the foam pro 2 and it changes everything about the foam pro 12. Makes it work exactly how i want it too.
FOam Pro 12 with purple tip with brake buster at 1:5 is heavenly.

All good but disappointed with that battery charge time. I suspect that the battery connection is not shared with other mainstream brands and locks you into their solution
Might want to partner with TeeJet to get a proper spray out of the tip.

Can I just say it seems as though IK has undergraduate engineers make a single attempt at innovating the next generation of sprayer with all kinds of attachments and doodads and extraneous Inspector Gadget parts which opens the door for someone to completely refine and perfect the idea using experienced engineers and product designers?
It looks like an okay sprayer that could be much better at foaming, much lighter, less cumbersome and streamlined to the point where it actually looks a bit sexy. In other words, "next"

That’s a perfectly fine way to go, but once you’re out of range of running water, fuel or a power supply you realize how tethered you have to be to use those things. (Totally understandable for a shop detailer, but different for many mobile workers)
