Just want to clarify that my idle comments regarding Freezai's occasional lack of responsiveness to chat is NOT an attack on him. He's extremely talented and level-headed, and I enjoy watching his random battle series and a lot of his other videos. Furthermore, he sometimes responds to fans in the chat, so I would guess he is merely focused on the game when he seemingly ignores a fan in the battle chat. I was simply stating that on the occasions he doesn't respond, it hurts my soul so I wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally do that to someone lol
I see your point Pinkacross, and I totally get it. I think every time I’ve left a comment on a Freezai vid, he never responded, and that lack of interaction always bugged me. Your responsiveness on the other hand, I thoroughly appreciate, I love the interactions you have with us commenters
@@leonardobarbosatelles2779 I've actually never noted how he responds to comments-- I generally don't fault youtubers for not replying to comments since it can take a lot of time and some of them have hundreds and hundreds of them... still, I'm glad you appreciate the engagement! :D I enjoy talking with all of you as well.

Oh certainly no shade, I love watching his Random Battles to the top. Just that one thing I noticed was like "aaaah plz respond!" But yea he's the most level headed player I've ever seen, seems like a great guy

Ooooh yes I remember that one! That was a fun one. Unfortunately that team ended up being a bit too passive, Empoleon in particular was a bit too easy to take advantage of. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I look forward to facing you on ladder in the future! :D

Pinkacross is truly one of the best builders this gen. Idk anyone else that would have thought outside the box and ran a corv like that.

When I wanted to climb, I recognized that I was really bad at teambuilding, so I thought 'I'll only use teams from rate my team that have peaked top #1.' Like, half of those teams are by pinkacross. Man's built different (ha, ha).

Nice vid. Just one thing, dunno if you mentioned it, but you can run Corv with Careful at 248/60/200 and get the same speed, but 243 spdef which is a bit higher

Hi Pinkacross! I was wondering where you get such cool ideas for teams, I never know where to start when building.
Usually I scan the lower tiers until I see a pokemon that I think has potential. Other times, I have a very specific problem that needs solving so I look for a unique solution. That's what happened in this case, I realized I had issues with Gliscor, but what setup pokemon beats SD Gliscor? Only Corviknight.
Avalugg hyper offense > Corviknight hyper offense
Shuckle Hyper Offense beats them all.

YES SINISTCHA. This teacup deserves OU its so strong and can sometimes outheal the walls that should check it
Yea Sinistcha is definitely OU-viable, not necessarily as a sweeper (since it can be a bit inconsistent) but on offensive hazard stack teams, one could argue it should be a staple.
The laser eye corvi on the thumbnail is heat. That is all.

How do you do the calculations?Do you have a video about it?(I think it would be better if I could also learn that kind of skill)
I use an extension called ShowDex! Given how many comments I've seen about it, I'll probably make a video on it in the future!
What are your thoughts on power Trip corv? That is my white whale I've been trying to make it work. Unfortunately will o wisp is so common you kind of have to run tera fire.
I don't think Power Trip is viable honestly-- it struggles against too much. BU Taunt Power Trip Roost would destroy stall but sucks against every other playstyle. Brave Bird, I think is viable because it gives Corviknight an immediate, strong, 120 BP STAB move. Power Trip I don't think has a place at all.
I've seen wincon corviknight in the smogon corviknight analysis page but i dont know it would fit this well!
It was a surprise to me as well! Especially with how effective it is against most stall teams in the current metagame.

do you think that clef is viable in OU anymore? I feel like its defensive presence has fallen hard, and am still somewhat suprised it hasnt fallen to UU
I also wonder, it has pretty mediocre defensive stats and its only real assets are moonlight+cosmic power and two great ability options.
Clef is always the lead trend when the meta becomes balance based
Definitely still viable, just not what it used to be.
Clef is definitely OU viable and quite good, just difficult to fit in building since it doesn't provide any massive walling power.
This afternoon I was thinking about the corv set but with sub over taunt and white herb, but decided to trash it because of Gholdengo and similar Corviknight stopgaps, guess I just didn't see the vision
Sub certainly can work! White Herb would be useless though, I imagine you mean Mental Herb to prevent Encore/Taunt? It's not a bad set at all, and that Corviknight would be better against Garganacl. The main reason I prefer Taunt is just for the stall MU, but sub is very much valid.

yeah unless you have 100% acc moves it ain't over till the fat lady sings! in randbats the other day I had an opponent with a roaring moon and a gallade left and I missed 2x play roughs in a row... I still won it in the end but it's like SHEEESH man of course it would happen right now
I once got 6 flinches in a row in random battles to steal a win. Can't even imagine how my opponent must have felt.
@@ErikReischitz I remember back on omega ruby I had a scarf genesect in random battles and I lost my whole team- was up against (I think it was Ho-oh) or something insanely dangerous and I got 3 flinches in a row with iron head and then proceeded to mow down his whole team 😅 after one of his other mons that could have 1 shot me flinched he just turned his game off LOL
RNG can be pretty funny at times LOL

Haha Lokix I think has a chance but it is definitely awkward to build around. Most teams I make are pretty mediocre, it takes a lot of testing and failed teams to find ones that work really well!

I don't agree with the speed investment on corvinight... You ll outspeed what exactly? 🤔 Assuming you want to outspeed Kingabit,you d have probably have used a bulk up already,at least 1 time right? You won't lose to it and on top of that he can still use sucker punch so the speed means nothing. On top of that every serious special sweeper has more than 220 speed so corvi s speed will be wasted. My opinion always BUT i always believe a bulky pkmn doesn't need to have speed to outspeed its mirror match lol... It s not that you run body press to let s say after some bulk ups,you ll ohko kingabit or the other corvinights.
This is a gen 8 fenomenon... People were increasing the speed of clefable and conceldur so they d win the mirror matches etc etc BUT they were losing to other pkmn, Because they weren't as bulky as they should be. Like i said my opinion always,but i ll stay loyal to my belief,that each Pokémon should have EV s based on its role.
I mean it did save him in the stall matchup game 3...

The goal is to outspeed Kingambit. The difference between a Kingambit that can SD versus one that cannot SD is significant. I can and will lose to Kingambit and I risk critical hits if I don't run a speedier variant. Furthermore it helps against Skarmory and Corviknight (which run Iron Defense) and try to outspeed Kingambit. To say that the speed means nothing because of Sucker Punch... I don't know what point you're trying to make. Sucker Punch will do absolutely no damage.

Corviknight has really surprised me-- I kinda added it for the memes but then it performed super well.
This team looks more like bulky offense than Hyper offense. Also Freezai does reply to his fans at times 😢 I like the guy.
I like Freezai a lot too, not at all intended as a criticism of him as a person or player. Just sometimes he seems not to notice and it pains me lol. But yea, fantastic player and very level-headed. As for the playstyle, bulky offense and hyper offense operate in a fundamentally different way, bulky offense is not hyper offense with slower and bulkier pokemon. The main difference is that HO is ok with sacking pokemon (which generally, my team is OK with, thus making it HO, at least by my standards).
