@@rsprockets7846 BTW, Pettyjohn/Watkins portrayed a thrall, not a "troll," in the Gamesters of Triskelion episode in the original Star Trek series. (Accuracy and proper spelling go a long way. Peace.)
I enjoyed Angelique Pettyjohn in this role and also in the Star Trek original series episode The Gamesters of Triskelion. She was a gorgeous woman. Barbara Feldon could hold her own in the looks and talent department. Thanks for the video.
I remember Saturday nights in the 60's. My parents would go out on Saturday nights and I would have the house to myself to watch The Jackie Gleason Show at 6:30 and then Get Smart at 7:30! Later on I started watching Mission Impossible instead of Get Smart. It was hard to choose! Great times to be a young kid!
The invention of the DVR made life bearable when you could watch a favorite TV show while recording your other favorite show. I always imagined some Japanese kid had the exact same problem, and grew up to invent the DVR.
In the early 1970's we had two B & W TV's. The better one was in the living room and the older junky one on the back porch. Mom wanted to watch Hawaii 5-O with Jack Lord in the living room while I had to watch my show, Kung-Fu out on the back porch. It was all good.
Ted Knight is one of the villains here. He had many roles prior to the MTM show, including The Twilight Zone and Narrator for Saturday Morning Cartoons.
The girl with the tray was also the Thrall(?) in the Star Trek episode who had to train Kirk in the games. Trivia, well, anyway, Get Smart was such a cool show!
I'm really surprised that the character of "Charlie Watkins" was never mentioned in the clip as, "Agent 38(C)," like the title read. That joke was the only reason I clicked on this clip.
That look she gives Smart when he says "I've seen a lot of disguises in my time, but..." is great. Actually, throughout this episode her acting is excellent--though I suspect most guys are too preoccupied to notice.
It would be some nice to sit at a bar and a cigarette. I'm an Alcoholic so I can't drink and if you smoked inside now you would catch hell. Oh the good old days
4:52 - Probably the only time a gender diverse come-on was attempted in a prime-time comedy series. 99 doesn't quite know how to respond, when a hot and saucy woman looks her up and down and offers a sleazy introduction... 😆. And then again (8:00), this time by Max..! 😳
Funny, like so many names, the name 'Charlie' has been undergoing a gender-shift since this aired. Quite a few women use 'Charlie' now - with an 'ie' - , prolly since that line of perfumes came out.
@maureencora1: My focus was on characters who were men disguised as gorgeous women. At no time did this apply to Agent 44 (getsmart.fandom.com/wiki/Agent_44).
RIP, Angelique. You left this world way too soon.
Honestly I think no comedy spy serial has beaten this even now.
Archer?
the original Inspector Gadget came close... but it's basically just Get Smart: The Animated Series
Indubidubly 🙂
And nothing ever will Mr. Smart... It's far too intelligent
Watched this show as a kid, it was way ahead of its time!
Pettyjohn/Watkins... hilarious!! A fine comedienne, great timing. R.I.P., Angelique. "[We] will remember" you always, Shahna.
Played the drill troll on star trek with Kirk
@@rsprockets7846 That is known. Thus the reference to her as "Shahna."

With Covid-19, the.barber shops were closed and my hair started to look like Charlie Watkins
I REALLY REALLY LOVED THIS SHOW WHEN I WAS A KID 🧒
The color! The photography! 1960s color tv standards!
It's probably been computer enhanced here.
Max was a sharp dressed man.
Get Smart, Hogan's Heroes, Green Acres....the sitcom trifecta

Yup
Angelique Pettyjohn.
You're right, i remember that Star Trek episode. Lol
Nobody's bringing up his/her best line: "Knock it off, Smart, I take enough ribbing." Imagine a Charlie Watkins spin-off series!
Angelic. Oh my was she so beautiful.
Best comedy show ever to ME.
I love 1960's TV. Showcasing women and all their beauty :)

Charlie Watkins was played by lovely actress Angelique Pettyjohn.
She had a tragic ending, living her last days in Las Vegas.
