I would come home from school and watch Get Smart, Gilligans Island and I Dream of Genie. It kept me sane during a rough time in life. It still lowers the stress and makes me laugh. Brilliant work.
The *"Martin Landau"* segment was ABSOLUTLEY HILARIOUS! I'm sure the cast of *"Mission: Impossible!"* were totally doubled over laughing watching that episode!
So that’s madam Barova? Yes, so what do you think? I don’t know, Mrs. Farris says she’s a medium. Looks more like a large to me… 😂😂😂😆😆😆😆😆 ha ha ha haaaa!!!!!!
I laugh harder now than I did 50+ years ago, but I was only about 3 or 4 back then!!! LOL!!! And I LOVE that Max's "sports car" is a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, as opposed to James Bond's Aston Martin!!
Max and 99 were perfectly cast. No way would Get Smart be as funny if 99 was a man or another female. Their chemistry was as good as any couple ever. Its hard for me to find fault with this show. Don Rickles, The bumbling, accident waiting to happen admiral had me crying, and....loving it!
When FTA was really worth it. A "golden age" so to speak, of American tv comedy. Batman, Adams Family, Munster's etc .Unforgettable. Thanks to all involved, still laughing, and what's better than that? Now i gotta and eat some "baked beans", it'll give me a little personal satisfaction.
Smart: And you need electricity for that. Have you got a key? Chief: A key. Yes. Here. Smart: Have you got a kite? Chief: Have you got a storm, Ben Franklin? Pure gold. Still hilarious.
My favorite was in the episode with the Indian uprising when Max discovered their base and they had an intercontinental ballistic arrow on the launchpad.
12:04 - A friend was literally just telling me on the phone how he was watching episodes of Get Smart on his t.v. and he talked about this exact scene of 99 dropping the whole tablecloth onto the floor to get the guys attention. xD
Larabie (hope I spelled his name right, but it has been over 50 years!). Man, he knew how to get the Chief angry. I love that show and everyone is gone but the lovely Barbara Feldon, God bless her!
My first comment disappeared, so...11:35 in, character actor Marcel Hillaire, AKA Frédéric Brady... a friend after the second course I took, grad seminar 20th century theater. He seems to have been a fabulist...several origin stories. came here in 1954, did Sabrina as chef teaching Audrey Hepburn and Marcel Dalio...many movies, TV...last villain in Lost in Space, 2 Twilight Zones. Guest star 4th ""I Spy"... North to Alaska, Wheeler Dealers, Honeymoon Machine, Seven Thieves, Take the Money and Run...as a schiz film director parody of...Erich von Stroheim! A gas.
The short clip @ 2:54 shows the corner of 7th Ave. and 42nd St NYC. The building in the upper frame is 1481 Broadway (although not ON Broadway, missed it by THAT much Chief...). In the 60's that building was home to WOR-TV9 and Times Sq. Studios in the late 80's - that's when I worked there. The Times Sq. redevelopment plan demolished that building and a 50+ story glass skyscraper occupied by Reuters now. BTW - well done piece!
Always loved how 99 had a crush on him before they got married which was a big mistake. Lol Max may had done and said alot of dum things but the man was very intelligent. I remember when the cable channel TV Land ran a weekend marathon of this series and I enjoyed watching all the episodes it's one of my favorite old shows.
Marcel Hillaire, at 11 minutes 30 seconds, was really FREDERIC O'BRADY, who also taught French at Princeton U from 1 on. I had a style course that fall and a grad seminar of 20th century plays, couple years later. From Sabrina in 1954 he was in many films and tv series.... 2 twilight zones 2 Lost in Space...the last villain! Wheeler Dealers, Honeymoon Machine, What a Way to Go, Take the money and run, Man From Uncle... He had several origin stories... Lovey fella.
One joke so good they used it twice involved a wall map full of pushpins, used to mark the locations of crimes. One pin near the top seemed to be there doing nothing, and the Chief wanted it removed because it was "confusing"... but, despite protests, when pulled, said pin was revealed to be holding the map to the wall! Bam, the whole works tumbled to the ground. I wager it was the one time Max could be said to know better than the Chief.
My favorite Don Adams character is Tennesee Tuxsedo. When he had a project he always went to Mr Wopee teaching kids to seek out knowledge, like how to spell.
none of these have my favorite moments :> where they are in london to find a informant, and they can't find him in the fog, they hear a shot, the guys dead, so they say something like, "We better leave." and then walk out the door of the hotel room :>
4:55 reminds me when I was a kid, I had a bottle of Fanta and the straw was too short for the bottle, so I tipped the bottle up-side-down to get the straw out!?
CONTINUED> She calls him a dirty old goat...he then tries to get Sebastian Cabot to expel her... He played an Italian waiter in Wheeler Dealers...James Garner bluffs him as mafia connected thereby impressing Lee Remick, playing a broker....Jim Bacchus and early John Astin slay in villain roles...and Marcel was a chief croupier in The Honeymoon Machine, a rare McQueen comedy... also with Paula Prentice, Dean Jagger, and as an killer funny alcoholic marine.. uh....name ??? A shmo image character actor...
Barbara Feldon reminds me of Mork and Mindy so amazing. This show with Lost in Space, Mr. Ed. , Green Hornet, and That's My Mother The Car. ❤️Oh and Dark Shadows 🧛 😳 the maid would iron and starch a pair of pants five times while watching it , you could stand them in a corner 👖🤔🙄🙀
I used to watch this show on nick in the early 90s when I was in my teens so watching these clips after not seeing a full length episode in decades makes me feel younger. However that clip at the 8:00 mark I don’t think that would fly today. In the storyline, what was the cause of that?
A lot of us forget about the old school because the New Millennium is going down so strong but if it wasn't for the old school it would be no school if all the new millenniums watch old school movies in Old School TV shows in a change them they'll be different people the conversations are changed the attitudes are changed the most important of all they would love life God bless Detroit let's get it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
I would come home from school and watch Get Smart, Gilligans Island and I Dream of Genie. It kept me sane during a rough time in life. It still lowers the stress and makes me laugh. Brilliant work.
Don't forget F Troop 😂😂😂
One of the best comedies ever written.
Forget the movies 🎥....This 1960s TV gem can't be beaten.!!!!!! Flawless perfection.!!!! ✔ 👍💗💕⚠
I'm really glad people still love this show. Go bless Mel Brooks and his weird beautiful mind
That final joke was a beauty. This show never dies.
Loved the episode with seigfrieds giant magnet to catch submarines.
The casting was perfection.
I grew up with these type of shows. And loved them?😅
"She's a medium"....looks more like a large to me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 as the boss said, he ain't so smart....LOVED get smart !!
I could watch 99 all day long. And her speaking Chinese is priceless.
Best tv show ever, period :)
Weird to think this show is over 50 yrs old.......still one of the funnier and better shows of all time
Best show ever
@@LUCIFERai Get Smart is my favorite tv show. It's better than the crap they have on today.
@kevinmiller6380 😅 u SHOULD use ..#### Some people may Not like " CRAP"
No.
No, the Chief killed himself.
Great show and still holds up well. Max is a wonderful character and Adams was perfect in it.
R.I.P. don adams I loved you as max and as the voice of inspecter gadget a life well lived!👍🏻😀😊😉😆😭
It took me awhile to get over hearing "Tennessee Tuxedo" playing the role of Maxwell Smart. I was only ten at the time.
99 is so adorable. She is smarter than Max but never show off or embarrass him 😍☺
Love that "Psychotic Reaction", Agent 99 and of course Maxwell Smart.
Loving it, Chief!
Loved this show growing up still do. Hilarious
One of the funniest shows ever.
The *"Martin Landau"* segment was ABSOLUTLEY HILARIOUS! I'm sure the cast of *"Mission: Impossible!"* were totally doubled over laughing watching that episode!
I used to watch this every day after school
Loved the meta moment of bringing Martin Landau, Mission: Impossible's star, to be Max's "perfect face for a secret agent".
Never heard of him.
It has to be a handsome typical Hollywood hero type....😎🤷♂️
(Woman screams) “Someone is coming!”
Max: “It’s probably the police.” That part always kills me! LOL
So that’s madam Barova? Yes, so what do you think? I don’t know, Mrs. Farris says she’s a medium. Looks more like a large to me…
😂😂😂😆😆😆😆😆 ha ha ha haaaa!!!!!!
love "99"! she was always so cute!;)
I laugh harder now than I did 50+ years ago, but I was only about 3 or 4 back then!!! LOL!!!
And I LOVE that Max's "sports car" is a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, as opposed to James Bond's Aston Martin!!
Yep, me too, he was so funny.

I agree with You, Max and 99 has a great Chemistry as couple and partners, I love them so much!! I'm a fan of this tv series 😊
I bought them all.
Smart: And you need electricity for that. Have you got a key?
Chief: A key. Yes. Here.
Smart: Have you got a kite?
Chief: Have you got a storm, Ben Franklin?
Pure gold. Still hilarious.
I cracked when the Chief actually patted himself down for the kite! Lol
My favorite was in the episode with the Indian uprising when Max discovered their base and they had an intercontinental ballistic arrow on the launchpad.
Now a days that episode is so politically incorrect. Of course there's a lot of episodes and running gags that are politically incorrect.
The US has 1 million soldiers, we have but 200 braves. "We must rely heavily on the element of surprise "
Washington 4 , Indians 3 . season # 1 . Gr8 episode!
Barbara's styles were so 60's 🤗
Not one Miss America had more appeal than Miss Feldon & no comedy show had better writers. Still hilarious 1/2 century later 🤣
99 was the total package: sexy, good at her job, EXTREMELY patient, down to earth and loyal. What man wouldn’t want those traits in a woman?
Thank you! SO many laughs!
The old .......trick. That's the third time I fell for that this month.😂😂😂😂😂😂
my brother was very young at the time. He loved to watch the introduction esp when maxwell's nose gets hit by the door at the end..
A great show, bring it back on TV it is a thousand times better than the rubbish that is showing now.
No, they would ruin it today.
All they seem to do is reality TV interspersed with endless ads for prescription drugs.
Theres a reason why nobody watches tv this days.
The good stuff is in platforms, mostly productions from other countries that are not usa.
Comedy Gold !!!
Barbara Feldon is life ❤❤❤
Aaaand... she could certainly make it even better! 🤦🏻♂️😍
I think the best episodes are the ones with Larrabee, the robot Hymie, and Siegfreid.
Anything 99 is in... I’m ok with! 👍🏼🤦🏻♂️😍
@Trust nobody Trustsnuthin not the craw. THE CRAW
Only Siegfried. 🙂

I loved we got 99 punching Max during their honeymoon phased. We so needed more of those moments before she got pregnant with the twins.
Max was a real snappy dresser

Dude, his last name was a joke.
“Did you call her 99?”
“Yes I did.”
“May I ask why?”
“I don’t know her name.”
Agent 86 your twice the agent 43 is!
+garyxkr He was twice the agent than his cartoon counter part was ;)
Great Show!!!!!!!!
'Have you got a storm Ben Franklin?'
My all time favorite
99 was such a classy woman. As a boy, I of course had a crush on her.
Adams was "86" or "Max"
Who didn't.

Brilliant series
And God bless Mel Brooks.
Yes! Very well put!!
i love it thanks for posting
They don't make shows like these anymore
You are so Right Sir!! I watch it everyday just to remember what it was like...
How about “Or forever hold your peas?” 😂
Don had a damn good Humphrey Bogart imitation at around 5:38.
I've never said this before; good job on the compilation.
99 is the most gorgeous co star in tv show history.
seasons 1 and 2 are best seasons of get smart
2 and 3 I reckon hahaha
one of great shows
Don Adams est absolument délirant dans ce role , la voix française de Guy Piérauld, qui lui va comme un gant , ajoute à l a louffoquerie
this has be laughing all over my self
Genius show.
Me T V wish you would run this show

Have to watch it everyday.. even for a few seconds..
So Max could swim and Gadget couldn't swim XD
Love the beginning music
I forgot to mention one of my idols from the 70's, James Caan. I heard he did his appearance because he was great friends with Don Adams.
