I just realized why the Master of Masters wanted the Keyblade War to re-occured. If Darkness has the power we have been hinted toward, it mean it can possess people, shapeshift, enter dreams, and alter memories. That means it could be anybody, or everybody, even your best friend.
With that, I propose a theory. What if the Anti- Black Coat Nightmare is a form of Darkness? Remember what it looks like, if you will. It is Young Xehanort, with no face and red eyes. It is similar to the Dark Chirithy the Player meets. Right before Sora falls into darkness, he see Young Xehanort up close as he is about to be swallowed by darkness to become Xehanort's vessel. Also, the Final Boss Riku fights in Dream Drop Distance is Ventus's Armor , covered in darkness.This mean Darkness can use being's memory and trauma to switch forms.
Still not over the fact that Nomura really introduced a character named "darkness."

Freaking Ven was traumatized and still has ptsd seizures up till forever ago.
These kinda reminds me of BBS, when ventus had trouble remember where he came asked by aqua and terra.
For a moment my translator app displayed "Am I here to kill you?" when Ven entered the warehouse. I was shocked.

Birth by sleep wouldn't have happened and he wouldn't be alive in kingdom hearts 3 so he does deserve it to be loved by us we wouldn't even know who he was if this didn't happen to him
My theory right now is that when Lauriam finds out that Ven (through Darkness) killed Strelitzia, him and Elrena will fight the other Union Leaders and THAT will cause Daybreak Town to fall. Amid the chaos, Ven, Lauriam, Elrena escape to before and after BBS while Brain stays behind and is given No Name by Luxu. Ephemer’s fate is still the ONLY mystery until Union X ends, for me.
How about Skuld then? And how about Luxord and Demyx? There are lot of hanging threads still, not just what happened to Ephemer...
@@FredMaverik Skuld is most likely Subject X. We know Luxord and Demyx end up in the organization so we know their fate. Ephemer is the only one who we really have no idea what happened. My personal thought is he stayed behind or was killed, but we dont know
This makes me feel a little more into my theory that Darkness is Vanitas (who says that he “is darkness” in KH3). Ventus becoming part of the 5 leaders makes it possible for Darkness to time travel any point in that new world line!
Darkness is starting to sound like some Lovecraftian deity.

I think it’s safe to assume they all got dropped off during Birth By Sleep because when all of the Organization XIII Nobodies were made it was hinted that it was at the same time, hence Lea and Isa getting caught in it. So we can assume the younger looking Lauriam and Arlene grew up to become their older nobody counterparts, Marluxia and Larxene, much like Axel and Saïx.
You may be right laxerene did say in kh3 that she was just along for the ride
The MoM is a chaotic good. I believe that he is light and had to allow "darkness" reign until certain events were set in place so that it can be utterly destroyed.
He might believe he is Light but he sure as well looks more like a dark user... His eerie keyblade, the coat, the HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS ACTIONS THAT MADE THE EVENTS OF KH POSSIBLE... He will be the villain.
For Laurium & Elrena with *all* of these events in Union X, though they don't have conciuous memories of their time, it MUST have been etched within their hearts. Didn't Xehanort/Ansem(?) were researching into the heart but many subjects suffered mental collapse.
Marluxia claimed that he was regaining his former self when defeated in KH3, but Limit Cut establishes there was a year time gap, so where have he and Elrena been?
@Christian Longo That doesn't make sense for it to be the reason. 8 Nobodies of the Organization all remembered their histories. Doubt is there for Demyx & Luxord, and Roxas was a special case.

@Christian Longo that contradicts what Axel and others have said about Roxas in 358. Roxas and Xion were special because unlike the other organization, they had no memories. Only other way I can see that not mattering is if the others were nobodies so long that they no longer needed their past selves
They were recompleted once when they were both defeated in chain of memories, but it doesnt look like they got their memories back when that happened because they went right back to xehanort. Maybe the same happened in KH3 and they were recompleted but didn’t get them back this time either. Maybe they both got them back for a short time while they were “vanishing”?

They definitely all still had their memories, besides Roxas and Xion. Xemnas makes it clear that he remembers his experiments on the heart as Terranort when talking to Ansem the Wise, Xigbar sees Ventus when looking at Xion, and Axel has a conversation with Roxas and Xion where he talks about how his memories of the past are important to him, to which Roxas and Xion reply that they have no memory of before the Organisation.
They weren't using Castle Oblivion to experiment with memories. The reason it exists as a second base for the organisation is because Xemnas knows Ventus is trapped within, so he wants the members to find him. In CoM, the only reason memories played any part in the plot was because Marluxia wanted to make Sora into his pawn. The real reason they were even sent there in CoM was because Xemnas knew Marluxia and Larxene were traitors, so he ordered Axel to kill them.

Bro Lauriam really only be good with a Scythe 😂 but the rest of the cutscene is super interesting! Darkness is a crafty one.
I got a feeling Vanitas and Lauriam are going to fight in Kingdom Hearts 4!

HeyImLynx Either he‘s one with Ventus again (with Ventus simply not being pure light anymore) or Vanitas‘s death created his heartless and nobody (he does have a heart after all).
At least that‘s what I think.
D4rkSonic I think he returned back to being sentient darkness. Something akin to the Nameless Darkness in the Cthulhu mythos.

Feel like the "twist" will be there was no traitor OR the MoM was the traitor. The Book of Prophecies was written to raise suspicion among the Foretellers in order to precipitate the keyblade war.
Brain being some kind of traitor, or sometimes darkness pretending to be brain would be interesting.
Ava being Darkness is not only possible, but it's easily one of the most likely scenarios in the story. Keep in mind that Ava can use illusions. If Ava's Chirithy is the one who killed Strelitzia, then Ava could have used her illusion based magic to make her Chirithy look like herself when confronting Ventus afterward. And, in cases where Ava needs to prove her "innocence", she could even disguise her Chirithy to look "normal" when she needs to.
Granted, this doesn't prove that she is Darkness, but she definitely has the means to be.

Theory (mostly derived from damo 279s theories, awesome job with these vids): in secret report 12 in KH3 “unknown” (luxu) says he did what he was supposed to and gave the No Name Keyblade to one of the five union leaders and then watched the five depart to another world line. I think its becoming somewhat clear that the five who departed were Ventus, Brain, Skuld (subject X, assumed by most I think), Laurium, and Elrena even though she wasn’t one of the original five, maybe luxu was fooled or something. But I’m thinking Ephemer stayed in the past to fulfill the whole “some light comes from the past” quote that Eraqus said in KH3 main story when we were in Keyblade graveyard. So with building on damo’s theory that they all landed in different times, there’s no way Laurium, Elrena, Ven, or Skuld could have gotten the No Name Keyblade it as they were all young after xehanort became terranort and had the No Name Keyblade for quite some while. So I believe brain was given the blade and he started training wielders wherever he landed. I’m thinking we will get a Brain appearance in KH Dark Road
Holy crap, so Darkness (Vanitus?) went inside and overtook Ventus so that Ventus could kill Stralexia, who is Lauriam''s sister?? Wow, that's nuts!!
But the only way that'd be possible is if:
Master Xehanort or another actor send Vanitas in the past
OR
Another actor released Vanitas in UnionX and would be eventually sealed until Xehanort unlocks Ventus' heart
@@XavierZara I always just figured Vanitus was Darkness itself who went inside of Ventus and became a part of him, but that hasnt happened fully yet in this mobile game so maybe not?? I know Vanitus being darkness itself is a common theory, I think?
@@KellyJoule I mean if Darkness is capable of possesing people or takeing on their appearance then Darkness can literally be everyone aka "act" as anyone. Remember how Vanitas could switch faces from Soras to Ventus face etc.

Actually if demyx survived the Keyblade war it would make sense of what he said in his story in kingdom hearts character files where he mentioned a ‘may your heart be your guiding key’ guy which, while it could refer to the master of masters, could also refer to Luxu. That being said, if Luxord survived the war it would be curious that Luxu doesn’t know who he is.

This makes me inclined to think the Master of Masters is darkness. Only he is the one who could've had that level of foreknowledge and planning

@@FredMaverik it makes sense. He says the truth is what you see with your eyes, then a beam of light purposefully covers the screen when he says his name. If there is a being of Darkness, there must me Light. They may be one in the same but I believe MoM is Light.
I really appreciate your videos! They helped me so much when I was gearing up for KH3! Congrats for doing such a great job! :)
To be honest it starts to get kinda boring how every evil thing done in the series is just by possession or something. At least in the first game Riku had some personal desire to set him off the rails to be used by (metaphorical) darkness.
When every character is mostly same bland good boi or girl, it just kinda does not make at least me that interested about the story unfolding cause the dramatic tension is that low. To make Ava or Ventus themselves have some strong personal desire to do homicide without being possessed would definitely peak up interest far more.
For example Ventus being murderer definitely would make Vanitas' existence make sense. By suppressing his quilt and shame, it intensified his darkness as time went on. Eventually his heart got split and among it his shame got put into Vanitas. Vanitas is constantly pissed cause he feels the torture of Ventus' shame and is total ass to him cause Ventus made him carry something where Ven was also part of, and Ven acting like he is the goody two shoes while it was him where Vanitas came from. It also made him easier to accept himself being darkness cause at least in there there are no lies and also it allows him to live without quilt cause all his actions are natural to darkness. Or simply saying "fuck you" to reality and embrace the madness.
Yup that would be *far more* interesting but....KH simply doesn't swing that way...unfortunately
@@wksers_serks yeah, I simply grew out from the story-line. It really has some potential, but I guess trademark protection limits how far it can go.
I hope the part connecting the past to the future (where they enter the pods and emerge into the future) are 3D rendered cutscenes!

I'm lockstep with you on these explanation vids. The question is can Darkness have multiple forms at once or essentially take over more than one person.
Marluxia is such a great character and this can go multiple ways. He could get mad at Ven and attack him, Darkness could take over Marly because of "Ven's" actions, He could have compassion for Ven and actually strengthen their relationship or none of this. The one thing that strikes me is that Darkness said that he knew some of what was in the BOP. The only ppl that have any access to it is MoM, Ava and Brain. Luxu is a wildcard but doubtful. Great breakdown Damo.
out of all the characters in the series, i feel nomura consistently does ventus dirty the most lmao. dude can never and has never caught a break.

No shot Lauriam got washed by the same Maleficent that got destroyed KH1 Sora, darkness def got involved
Maleficent was never defeated by Sora and the gang. Storywise it was her own darkness that overtook her and led to her downfall in KHI
You're fucking stupid. Sora had Donald, Goofy and Beast helping him fight Maleficent. So her beating Lauriam's ass is no surprise.

@@yungbreezy36 And to be civil let me break it down to you instead of insinuating you have less common sense than myself: Without bias (assuming you prefer Maleficent as a character over how hostile you were about my opinion) do you see Maleficent beating ANY of the first organization 13 individually, let alone when they're whole. I say that because in KH2 it is assumed that characters are more powerful as a whole than when they are split as a nobody (Sora/Roxas situation)
I really wanna know more about Lauriam and Elrena, knowing the past even make me think of their choices in Rechain of memories, if they were just trying to get their keyblades back with the help of Sora, in order to stop Xemnas/Xehanort or something. This update was amazing, and depressing for Ventus. He really did kill Strelitzia, shocking.
I'm glad you made it through all the videos! It's a pretty damn good little story for sure, I'm just happy to be a small part of getting it out there for people :)
Hmm makes me think that Elrena's Chirity may have the final clue....since both her and Strelitzia's saw the player character left the room. Srelitzia's chirity left to tell her but Elrena's chirity stayed. Gula was still hurt from Aced and the foretellers don't use teleportation. So either Gula was there the whole time and Elrena's leave before Ven arrives or Elerna's chirity left before Gula leaves as well.
Do remember that Darkness cannot be Vanitas. For clarification, Sora encounters Darkness within Ven's heart during the final encounter in the Keyblade Graveyard. This is after Ventus and Vanitas are separate again
Doesn't Vanitas go on to say before their fight that he and Ven aren't the same, and that Vanitas was just sleeping in Ven's heart?

Remis Chun That vanitas is a different Vanitas remember he was from the past not the present, as of now we have no clue whats going on with original Vanitas. thought you’re right that it can’t be Vanitas that Sora encounters since Sora even questions if the Darkness is Vanitas but since he’s not sure and Sora would definitely recognize Vanitas or at the very least sense him meaning this Darkness being and Vanitas are two separate entities.
Remis Chun that vanitas was from the past. He was one of the vessels that time traveled.
You know, more and more I start to think that the Master of Masters is like Sheogorath from Elder Scrolls. Sheogorath ends up turning into Jyggalag to apply order or to balance out the madness. There is a version of the MoM that aligns with the light and when the time comes he must go far away and become Darkness itself and counter everything he has done to bring balance between both Light and Darkness. Idk just a theory.

Well I am be wrong after all this is kingdom hearts but I have an idea that may make it possible for Darkness to be all the things you called it and still not a time bending mastermind. I think that Strelitzia was killed several days before the ringing of the bell.
For one thing Brain, Skuld, and others all claim that Ava had not been seen for days before the ringing of the bell up until the war a few days after. This is because Ava was looking for Luxu in hopes that he would know where MoM is. Would she have taken time away form looking for Luxu to give Strelitzia her rule book? The girl only had that rule book for a night before spending the next day looking for Player. So if Strelitzia was killed the day of the ringing bell Ava would have had to stop her search for Luxu in the middle of it. Also in Strelitzia's story she never hears the bell or talks about it leading me to think that she wasn't alive at the time that the bell rang at all.
So if you have Strelitzia's death at a different time then you have less of a murder of chance and more of a planed murder with a killer that can make illusions. The Killer watches Lady Ava give Strelitzia her rule book knows what needs to be told a union leader, where to meet the others how many there would be etc. Then the Killer chooses Ventus as his puppet and calls him into the building. Strelitzia has not been quite about wanting to talk with Player. It is easy to trick Chirithy into thinking an illusion Ventus is Player. Chirithy goes to the house where Ventus' mind is messed with, and somehow the girl ends up dead. The killer then takes the shape of Lady Ava and leads Ventus on a walk recreating her talk with Strelitzia which the Killer had seen.
There are some holes in it I am sure but it seems to make the most sense to me while still keeping Ventus innocent which I will admit I really lean towards. I am not sure who else believes that Strelitzia is likely killed much earlier then anyone else seems to think however after I noticed that I never hear the bell in Strelitzia's story I have been unable to get the idea out of my head. When something in the story makes it clear I am wrong I will admit it but until then I am going to believe she is killed much earlier then just after the bell.
How special is Ven? VanitAs looks exactly like sora . Ven and vanitas are one as whole . What if vanitas is darkness. This whole plan is set for sora to just win as another pawn

i think there is more then 7 pods there. as we can see there 7 at the time. but what if there is 14 pods and we just see the 7 in front of us and not see the others hidden on the other side. then that way we have the foretellers and some of the people who was save. then that is how the foretellers can show up at the end of KH3.

Maybe brain and skulls goes to the world of yozora and ephemer stays back to send them away and eventually re appearing in kh3 when the battle of the tornado happened

Perhaps Dark Inferno is only one of the pure heartless that Darkness released to fight Sora?
Just pointing out, most kh games superbosses are in some way relevant to the next games story. Before remind dark inferno was the closest thing we had to a superboss.
Watch, Brain is Braig pretending to be luxu because he found out his identity and luxord is final fanstasy because he was in a taxi.
Who says that the master of masters was really the one to send Xehanort down that path? Maybe it was darkness in disguise. Or maybe darkness is possessing the master of masters. Darkness is so ridiculously power with it's ability to change forms, possess people, and alter memories that anything is possible.

I had a theory of Darkness being Ava's heartless and Aqua being her nobody. Come to think of it now, the latter sounded pretty stupid.

My theory : the Darkness is belong to Sora , born from Sora in KH one , it happened when he become heartless, the darkness plan is to make sure Ven heart fuse with Sora cuz the only one who can destroy is Sora if it return into Sora heart, So ... all darkness doing is to make sure that Ven be in the future and his heart goes to sora then Sora become heartless then pure Darkness is born from Sora Heart, once Called himself Vanitas.
I wonder if darkness possesses the Maleficent we see in KH3

yes, being Xemnas mention them how they were chosen in their org xiii position in a cutscene in KH3 and about how they were part in an ancient keyblade war (khux), and it is not confirmed yet if luxord is the one in the car with yozora,

does anyone think its possible that ven just witnessed the murder? and that darkness/impostor ava still did it? like if you're suggesting darkness knocked out lauriam why couldn't it kill strelitzia? im still on the fence of whether or not ven was used to kill strelitzia, though i know it's a definite possibility I'm just wondering if there are any others...
also like, if darkness needed vens body why is it still moving around, talking to maleficent and stuff as a separate entity outside of vens body? again i understand possession is looking more and more likely but something still feels off to me
So there is one question that is bothering.
I was watching the story so far and found something that doesn’t add up.
In the KH universe death causes the body to disappear quite quickly. However sterliza’s body did not. Doesn’t that mean she’s could still be alive but trapped somewhere?
She was struck fatally but didn't truly die until a few moments later.
What if master Ava was Strelitzia and darkness took the place of master after after he they killed her. Kinda out there, but if darkness added ven, whos to say they didn’t change the book

So, one thing that I'm still not really wrapping my head around regarding this:
"Darkness", this new evil entity, came from... within Ventus, correct? So, I would assume that Darkness' first act was to strike out and kill Strelitzia. So, is Vanitas actually Darkness? Or is he not?
I don't think it came from him, I think it's been around for a long long time. A primordial opposite to light. I think in this reality it first possessed a Chirithy, corrupting it and turning it into a nightmare. Then it spread darkness as we know it throughout the realm of light and the hearts of keyblade wielders, but was stuck in the chirithy vessel until our character struck it down. Then it was free to wander and possess Ven, while not chaining itself to him the way it did with the Chirithy, yet.
I think when Ven travels through time Darkness will have hidden itself within him, fusing with the natural darkness that lingers within Vens heart before being extracted by Xehanort and being given the name Vanitas. After Vanitas was defeated and returned to Vens heart I think Darkness layed dormant with the sleeping Ven until being recently awoken, and then contacted by Sora in Remind.
So to me, Vanitas is mostly darkness but with a little bit of Ven thrown into the mix but we really don't have enough information about it yet to make a definitive call
you think Ava is Darkness ? Me, I dont think that.
Luarium and Elrena will be the first 2 to use the pods, and like you said they will chase after Maleficent thinking she is the darkness they are looking for, but lose their memories so they have no idea what they're doing.
Skuld, Ven, and Brain will go next to bring back Luarium, but they lose their memories In the process, forgetting why they came and arriving in Radiant Garden.
While Ephermera waits behind in the Datascape to lead the other wielders, but he doesnt know why the others never cameback or maybe it's impossible to comeback, not knowing they lost their memories

Ava will probably still in the present and will have recruited Demyx and Luxord, but used the Pods that Namine used to restore Soras memories to erase Demyx and Luxords of the war.

We still don't know what happened in the time between the moment Strelitzia and Ven saw each other and the scene Strelitzia died, but now it's pretty clear that either Ven or Darkness (or both) killed her.
@@sinom If you remember the scene from her perspective, Strelitzia didn't saw him, only ventus saw her, so in that time he could be possessed and killed her.

My only question towards Mom being the master mind of always intending for Darkness to go to the past, since he was the person who originally wrote the list, then why didn't he just write Ven down to begin with?
It's why Ava is technically the traitor among the Masters. She knew the future and tried her best to fight against what the MoM had seen, so any timeline hiccups would help her defy fate

@Jeff Well Mom was the one who gave out the original warning of a traitor. He could've meant that Darkness would try to fool them of a traitor existing since he knew darkness can disguise itself. But that brings up why he didn't just warn all of them about Darkness to begin with besides Luxu. He might have not bothered them with it because their Keyblade War was always meant to happen regardless.
Also thinking about it some more the only reason I can think of IF Mom was the mastermind but didnt just write Ven to begin with was that its the only way that would cause a chain reaction to get those certain people (Ven, Laurium, Elrena, Skulled, ect.) to the future and take their roles in Sora's time. Like if he did just write Ven as one of them they might not have gone to the past for what ever reason. Who knows till we know more.

My processing is the following. Only the master could have such precise knowledge of events to come. He also is a conniving and manipulative individual who stages everything in his favor. He probably knows about Ava trying to sabotage him. Or maybe, everything is going according to his plans. He is NOT a good person. The Master is evil, if that hasn't been obvious.

he is also able to travel through time like ansem seeker of darkness ,and eventually disappear.
The fact he does always cover his face with its coat could be due the fact he hasnt a face considering he is just darkness.

I had considered the MoM being a heart. In fact, there are those that believe the MoM, Luxu and the Foretellers are pieces of the same puzzle. They are all one single aspect/trait/essence of a higher being. Not my theory but I love that idea. It would explain why the Foretellers are so one dimensional in their characterization.
Perhaps Lauriam lost his heart and who we see laying there is now his nobody. Probably not.

I used to think that scene meant she was headed back to post KH2 and re:coded times, but given the recent translations I think it's implied she literally time travelled the second Riku stabbed her and came back at the start of KH2

so much speculation about the pods and people going to the future, to avoid the original key blade war, by someone that clearly didn't pay attention to some of the previous games including 2 and birth by sleep that explains who most of organization 13 is. None of them keyblade wielders just people with the potential to be. The secret files from 3 are also most likely referring to Ava. After all at the end in the ending scene it was mentioned "so she didn't make it after all" makes sense if she doesn't remember who she is and in such a situation

So you missed the part in KH3 when Xemnas addressed Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia and Larxene and told them they were going to reveal the secret they held about the ancient keyblade legacy? These 4 who didnt have any sort of cameo as their original selves in BBS while literally every other member did? You missed the part in KHUx where we have seen two of these people already as Dandelions but the other two are suspiciously absent so far, so perhaps there is more going on than we have originally been told? You missed the part in Remind that teases that Luxord may not even be from the Kingdom Hearts Universe?
Birth by Sleep mentioned nothing about any of those people having the potential to wield a keyblade, Xehanort believed he was manipulating Xigbar because Xigbar pretended to want to wield one, despite being perfectly capable of wielding his own.
Subject X might be Ava, might be Skuld, might be someone else, it's too early to know conclusively. All we know is the description the reports give us describing a female around age 15 with absolutely 0 memories, save for the vague memories that imply she may be from the age of fairy tales, the memory of 4 friends and a key and the phrase 'may your heart be your guiding key'.
