*UPDATED THOUGHTS -* August 5, 2021 Overall, this theory is *DECONFIRMED!* There are parts in it that hold up, but I don't want to mislead any new viewers into thinking this theory is still a possibility. *CORRECTION @ **0:26** & **10:35** -* In _7 and 13_ the MoM tells Luxu that the mention of "the traitor" in the Book was to stir doubt in the Foretellers. But later the Master calls Luxu the traitor. This is likely in reference to the future, since Luxu has not _yet_ betrayed the Master. I don't think fans saying "Luxu has an X in his name" was good evidence for this, because the Recusant's Sigil is a real, tangible object summoned by Xemnas and Xehanort. For example, Roxas and Xion have X's in their name, but they no longer have the Recusant's Sigil since Xemnas died in KH3. While the Master confirms Luxu the traitor, we don't know if Luxu had the sigil during KHUX. *Xigbar mentioning Ava in KH3's epilogue **1:59** -* While I'm open-minded to others being the "true dandelion" Luxu put in the 7th pod in KHUX, if it was Ava that Luxu sent to the future, he may have used her mask as her medium, which would explain meta-wise why her face was covered in sheets: to avoid a face reveal. *CORRECTION @ **2:48** -* I was informed that this word is the same in Japanese! So Xigbar could have, after all, been referring to a role the MoM gave to Ava. *_"You will venture forth in secrecy" _**_3:22_* - While this is in reference to the traitor (Luxu), I still think Ava was pulling strings in the background during KHUX, like possibly being the one who connected Wreck it Ralph's world to data Daybreak Town. *Luxu telling Maleficent about the Box **6:38** -* Now that KHUX is over, the only other person I can see telling Maleficent about the box is the figure who was seen with Strelitzia wearing the white coat (which may be a data body since data version of the Dandelions are mentioned through out KHUX). This may not be Luxu because he later asks Brain if a Union Leader was struck down, which he would have already known if he truly was interacting with Strelitiza. *Brain and Ava working together **11:53** -* Please watch _"Brain has an impersonator"_ for my updated thoughts on this. I still believe that Brain and Ava had _another_ meeting we've never seen, since Brain said in _Resolutions_ that Ava told him Ephemer's always wanted to read the Book, and I think it's possible Ava warned him that darkness "can hide anywhere, even inside someone", since that was one hell of a shot in the dark. *Where has Ava been? **13:56** -* Like I mention above, I think it's possible that Ava was the "true dandelion" Luxu put in the 7th pod. But I also think it's possible Ava has been residing in Unreality, and for that explanation you'll need to watch _"Brain, the Box, and KH3's Tear in Time"_ and also read that video's description. Sorry for the redirection, but I don't want to repeat myself LOL. Of course, the Realm of Darkness is still a possiblity.
@@insertnamehere2746 It makes sense that some would miss it if they duck in and out of KHUX's story, it was very recent, literally KHUX's finale! (so, spoiler alert) ruclips.net/video/GZfexVPLh5U/видео.html
this was unbelievably fun to watch, helped in no small part by the super fluid editing and *extremely* clear presentation of ideas. Love these--really excited to hear your thoughts in future theories!
@@BobbyTheGamerOfJUSTICE dude , they were pretty much removed. There was no FF character whasoever in KH3 , just a character inspired by Noctis , but still not the actual character.
@phatomsosX Cactaur and many other FF things made a cameo in Toy Story, Cloud and Auron were mentioned in Olympus, FF enemies showing up in the gummie ship as constellations, the moogle shop, & Seifer was mentioned by an NPC in Twilight town. They may not have been in the usual method of an actual character showing up and doing things but to say FF was completely removed is just wrong.
The illusions might have something to do with the fact that she’s represented by a fox. Japanese fox spirits could create illusions to trick people. Maybe each apprentice has a special ability like this that we don’t know about? 🤔
I didn't enjoy Kingdom Hearts 3 as much as I hoped to but I'm really liking the way the story is going and I'm excited to see what happens next! I think I like this Foreteller story arc better than the Xehanort arc. Even back when I first played Kingdom Hearts 2, I have always liked Xigbar a lot. It's nice to see that he's more important than I ever thought.
Incredible. Your Tumblr never ceases to amaze me, but these videos are an extra special treat to watch. Your editing is impeccable and your theories are so compelling! Can't wait to see whatever comes next!!
interesting theory and I do believe that Ava carries within her a Darkness and she will never acknowledge it. I like the effort and editing in the video! also I like how you are so careful with every detail in this video.
I disagree that Ava has any darkness and instead is the most pure of the foretellers. She’s the only one to question MoM and the only one who actively tries to prevent the key blade war while the others just kinda go with it. She’s also the only one who’s keyblade is different from the rest, as they all have some dark coloration on their keyblade while avas is entirely made of bright colors
@@Spoogebro Greetings from the future. You will all soon learn that Ava is both darkness and of the purest light, just like Ventus. The closer you stand to the light, the larger your shadow becomes.
I think Ava's fate will have something to do with Skuld, they sit in the same seats in the Union meetings and her name means debt, meaning she could've paid her debt she owed to Ava by choosing her as a Dandelion by becoming her vessel or taking refuge in her heart before leaving the data world and being flung into the future. I think the absence of Ava in the epilogue is because she is hiding inside Skuld somehow, either as a vessel or like Ventus was hiding in Sora. And Subject X is an amnesiac so nor Ava or Skuld's hearts remember who they are. So all Luxu knows is that she fulfilled her mission, not that she is inside Subject X. Personally I really like this idea because it sets up a race against time between Isa and the Foretellers to track down Subject X, whom contains the hearts of both Skuld and Ava. And it'd be quite the shock twist to discover that Ava has been right there all along under everyone's noses. I also currently think that Brain is Luxord in another vessel after that suspect ReMInd exchange with Luxu not knowing who he is, Luxord has stated many times a game is no fun if you know how it's going to end, MoM has rigged the game of fate, and Brain wanted to rewrite fate, he gambled with union leaders lives to leave the data world, he's the ancestor of Eraqus (supposedly) and Luxu is technically the original scapegoat like Xehanort, the chess game will continue between them, but instead of light vs darkness it's order vs chaos, time vs space, Luxord/Brain vs Xigbar/Luxu. There are even more possible clues to support this, it seems like Nomura could be setting up Luxord to be a major player in the battle against MoM and the Foretellers. And with Demyx being the only blank left, I'm inclined to believe he is the Player character in KHX, since his supposed canon default appearance looks an awful lot like a possible young Demyx, he has lighter hair at the top and darker brown at the bottom as well as a blue and yellow outfit that matches the colors of Demyx's sitar Arpeggio. It would be a great twist imo, if the main character of the mobile game and one of the greatest warriors in the keyblade war, who took on the Foretellers themselves is the "useless" and "chicken" Demyx, I like it way more than him being MoM. And for him to forget all that is pretty sad since he has such low self worth as a nobody. The idea of Demyx and the revived Union Leaders all coming together to fight the Foretellers is quite a sight. And maybe Demyx x Streltzia.
Player x Strelitzia would be cute u.u XD(the rest of your theory looks cool and awesome and a part of me wishes may be true...another part of me wishes it's not true...because it would imply that i just read a lot of spoilers...and a story "is no fun if you know how it's going to end" XD)
I don’t remember the last time I was this impressed by a Kingdom Hearts video. This is probably one of the only theories I can get behind. Kinda want to kick myself for not piecing this out myself. But incredible video. Definitely earned the sub 🖤🖤 can’t wait to see what future videos you have in mind
Throughout the years of Kingdom Hearts there have been many great theory’s with fantastic content creators but I must say you are by far the best when it comes to explanation and “diving” into those theories
I still think that Sora is meant to be king of Kingdom Hearts. I mean look at all the artwork. He has a crown for a necklace before he first was the emblem, he actually has a cosmetic crown, he has a sword called "The Kingdom Key", he now possess the actual "X-Blade", was able to revive himself multiple times, has among the strongest levels of light in him, and can connect with any heart.
I think so too. he who tames the PoHs becomes king. something along those lines was stated..... somewhere...... in tarot/persona terms, sora is the fool (the *wild card* of the tarot deck) who will take the world (KH).
The fact that you only have 2k subscribers (at the time of typing this) is criminal. This style of editing captures the fairy tale style that Kingdom Hearts thrive on. I'm desperately looking forward to future videos!
Your video’s are something for me to look forward to from now since the editing is absolutely fantastic and these theories have their head and foot, thus most possibly being true. And like I said in the last video, you truly deserve more subscribes
*I'm going to reply to a few questions/replies here so I don't have to keep answering individual comments, hope that's okay! I'll edit to add replies as I see fit* *Ava as Subject X:* I just really don't think Ava is Subject X because of the Epilogue. Xigbar saying "I guess Ava didn't make it after all" and "I told her, clear as day, what it is I had to do" implies that Ava would indeed know that Luxu's summoning the Foretellers. But Subject X in her entry barely remembers her "four friends" -and if Subject X was Ava, and her "four friends" were the Foretellers, and Xigbar told Ava he would summon the Foretellers, then Subject X would have stated so in her entry. But Subject X made no mention of her "four friends" being summoned in her entry. So one can ask, well maybe Luxu told Ava that BEFORE she lost her memories. But then Xigbar in the Epilogue would KNOW Ava lost her memories and wouldn't come to the reunion anyway because Xigbar carried Subject X away from Ansem the Wise's lab. So Ava being Subject X just doesn't make sense because Subject X's entry and Xigbar's lines in the epilogue don't line up. *Ava as Kairi's Grandma:* While I'm still not ready to jump in, I do believe this to be way more plausible than Subject X. Darkness mentions to Maleficent that the Master never made projections of Radiant Garden (the 7th world with a Princess of Heart- Kairi) because it was too sensitive and important to risk anything with it. However, what's interesting is that in mission 871, Brain says that the projections of the Book work in similar ways to pop-up books. And the FIRST thing we ever seen in both KHX and KHUX is a popup story page of Radiant Garden, and Kairi's Grandmother telling her the tale of the Keyblade War. So that implies there's still a chance that Radiant Garden was a projection in KHX or UX after all. This along with both Maleficent and Kairi's Grandmother residing in Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion is a nice connection to Maleficent and Darkness talking about said world, if both Darkness and Kairi's Grandmother are indeed both Ava after all. *The Sigil Gula mentions:* In Back Cover when Gula states that the lost page mentions "the one who bears the sigil", while it's not stated directly, it does seem to be implying the Recusant's Sigil, and a recusant is someone who refuses to comply or submit to authority or a regulation. So if Ava really is trying to "undo" her role and defy the master, then that in-and-of-itself makes her a recusant. True, she doesn't have an X in her name like Luxu does, so that particular detail would point to Luxu being the traitor. But really, with what we've read in his Observation excerpts, Luxu seems to be doing everything he can do fulfill his role and obey the Master, the exact opposite of a recusant.
That I have mentioned it, that there's a trailer scene in "Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind" that Xigbar has to ask Luxord a question, "Just who are you, Luxord?" and Luxord had given a card to Sora and said that card will be useful later, but at the final scene at Kingdom Hearts 3, Sora hasn't come back to Destiny Island. So could that mean Luxord will be Ava?
@The Secret Reports maybe Gula's role to find the traitor is referring to post kh3 epilogue. He knows Ava the best, therefore would be able to see past her disguise. The sigil will be a relevant clue for him then not when they were together in the age of fairy tales. So now the is game on Ava... Game on.
What blows my mind about this theory video is that it’s 5 months old. So much more evidence has come out in support of this. Talk about being way ahead of the curve
No way...I literally had goosebumps from this theory because not only does it make sense but it also showcases immense attention to detail that you have beautifully demonstrated, very well done Also you’re editing encompasses the soul of your theory which I love so much it’s the best I have seen in awhile keep it up!!!
Spectacular analysis! And before anybody goes on trying to disprove you it's just a theory and speculation. You know things that are fun to think about. I think you have some very valid points and he presented them in a very clear and concise manner. I just found this video right now I couldn't believe how little views it had. It deserves more nice work
Tbh I didn't realise what he meant about "venture forth into secrecy", I could never have thought that Ava had such involvement as what was originally thought.. Plus it isn't too farfetched as to how she survived for this long being in the ROD, as the other 4 foretellers were revived by Xigbar, and body-hopping for centuries. Overall I love this theory you made!! :D
The biggest pieces of evidence for this theory, IMO, are Ava's clothing and Brain's name. Think about it... ♪~Pinky and the Brain.~♪ ♪~Yes, Pinky and the Brain~♪ ♪~One is a genius.~♪ *♪~The other's insane.~♪*
I might be reaching here, but considering the typical traits of a fox like being sly and cunning, this would actually make a lot of sense! You also totally called Ava working with Brian in some way, love the theory!
You certainly put a lot of thought into every one of your theories and your information is always very very organized and clear. Not everyone (maybe even people in square enix as far as im concerned 😂) can have such a clear way if presenting information in such a clean and concise way and you deserve far more subscribers. I really commend you for it because without such a great way of doing so id be lost and lets be serious a lot of people have to smoke to understand anything in kingdom hearts right now so. Bravo.
This video is over a year old and tbh it's still one of my favorite KH theories probably ever. Not only for how well you constructed your points and analysis, but also for how the way you present them too. Ava was already one of my favorite characters in KHUX(BC) but this genuinely helped elevate her to one of my favorites across the series. If this theory is true I truly think it makes Ava one of the best characters in the whole series too. If UXBC is watched with the idea in mind that Ava does everything within her power to maintain order until pushed to a breaking point (the confrontation between her and Luxu which ignites the Keyblade War), her's one of the most complex and subtle character arcs in the series. The lengths she goes to to protect Gula, the times she wrings her hands when confronted by other Union leaders about her role regarding the Dandelions, the desperation when she realizes the War is inevitable and sends the Dandelions away from Daybreak Town with a rallying cry, all paint such a vivid picture of a young girl stretched to a limit that when she confronted Luxu, wound up breaking down from his revelation. This is all too while her Master disappears on her, she's overseeing a Union and a whole other group of Keyblade wielders, AND is slowly watching the bonds between her friends crumble. Which in a certain regard paints her in a bit of a parallel with Terra more than anything in terms of 'rebelling' and 'going astray'. Far more gradually and less extreme than Terra I think but the similarity is there nonetheless. And if Ava is indeed Darkness, after this full series of events it paints such a beautifully dark, and tragic picture of someone who did everything they thought to be right for the sake of the world, even if that meant potentially getting her hands dirty (in the case of potentially having a hand in Sterlitzia's death and manipulating Ven into carrying it out but that's a whole other can of gummi worms) in one regard but also as Darkness. Giving Maleficent just the right info she'd need to return to her time, all while observing the new Union Leaders and subtly guiding them outside the Master's instructions is such a beautiful far cry from the timid girl we saw exclaiming how cute Chirithy was. This got way off base and rambly and I apologize but wanna say again I love your videos and other content and I hope you keep making them as long as you can!
That absolutely breaks my heart. The fact we got Aqua out of the darkness made me cry. Being in a world if solitude all this time. She was in for a long time but Ava being there for that long tears my heart to pieces. How broken her poor heart must be. I hope she can be saved. She was my favorite. Such a pure light that wanted nothing but the best for everyone. We gotta save her!!!
Just discovered your channel and I gotta say, it's amazing. Diving into details on the subject, explaining in a way anyone can understand, along with clean video editing skills, makes it a delight to watch. Can't wait to see what other theories you have!
Another great video! I literally just made a theory video about Ava. Yours blow mine out of the water lol. These are so fun to watch! Amazing job keep it up!
You know, watching this video has convinced me even more that Ava is the traitor. I was ignorant at the beginning because Ava is my ABSOLUTE favourite Foreteller because she is so sweet and luminous and I didn’t believe that someone as pure as her would be evil. But watching this video does put more perspective into the theory of Ava’s role as the traitor. But that still doesn’t change the fact I love her and is one of my favourite Kingdom Hearts characters
And I think there's a chance that just because she's the traitor doesn't necessarily mean she's evil. I think as of this moment, Ava did what she had to do because she believed it was the right thing to do, she's still trying to save the world and the dandelions. At least, that's how I perceive it at this point in time.
I've just discovered your channel and I'm amazed by both the presentation of the theory and how detailed it is, seriously you deserve more subscribers, wow. It makes the theory that Subject X could be Skuld a lot more likely to happen. By the way, Nomura said in the KH 3 Ultimania that six of the seven black chess pieces seen in the KH3 epilogue belong to the Foretellers, I wonder if this could mean that the Ava from the chess piece is not the real Ava and instead this Ava comes from the past or it's a clone of her, it's so weird: www.khinsider.com/news/Kingdom-Hearts-3-Ultimania-Main-Nomura-Interview-Translated-14763
Yeah good point! Even if the traitor truly is someone else- no matter what, all of them are black pieces in the end. So even if it IS Ava, it would be interesting to see what happens to her to make her be a black piece, or at least one that's similar to Terra, who was both a black and white piece of the first game.
@@TheSecretReports Yeah! Whatever Nomura decides to do with Ava's role I think it'll be interesting to see. By the way, I'm working on a KH theory that I'm writing on Google Docs, I don't know when I'll publish it but I don't want to rush it because I'll summarize Xehanort's arc and explain in detail the Keyblade War related games, and despite I'm analyzing cutscenes from every game I completely forgot mentioning that there's one more description of the traitor *facepalm* Do you remember Gula saying in Back Cover that the Lost Page contains this description about the traitor: ''The one who bears the sigil''? I'm now thinking that it might be a reference to Subject X, I'm going to explain why: Sora's clothes in KH 3D feature the X sigil, which is the letter X (Chi) from the X-Blade and the subtitles Unchained X / Union X, and Young Xehanort later states in the same game that this sigil was used to locate Sora. *MAJOR KH 3 SPOILERS* Well, so what's important about this sigil? Before this scene of YX, Sora talked to Xemnas and Xigbar / Luxu, and the two of them were offering Sora to become an ally and to abandon his friends' side, Luxu says: ''We see bigger and much better things in your future once you side with us'', which I think is VERY shady. Why would you ask your enemy if he wants to join your team after all the pain you've caused to him and his friends? Like it's very stupid, there must be a very good reason why Luxu would bother trying that. People often say that Nomura has no idea of in which direction he wants to take the story of KH, but honestly after spending a lot of hours on my KH project I doubt he doesn't know what he wants to do with the story. So him and Xemnas were already conspiring in secret against Xehanort when he (Xehanort) wasn't interested in making Sora an ally in the slightest, he just wanted to turn Sora into the 13th dark vessel to have those dark vessels ready to forge the X-Blade, in fact Xehanort has a low opinion of Sora, he calls him ''a dull, ordinary boy''. And we've already found out in KH 3 that Xehanort was another pawn in the Master's plan (with the Re : Mind trailer further hinting at the possibility that the Master could have manipulated Xehanort to become an admirer of darkness) When Sora rejects Luxu's offer, Xemnas fights Sora, and when the fight starts Xemnas says: ''As your flesh bears the sigil, so your name shall be known as that of a recusant'' It's like Xemnas and Luxu know a lot more than everyone else but they're not disclosing what they know. (Luxu doesn't for obvious reasons) In KH 3 Xemnas has a meeting with Luxord, Marluxia, Larxene and Demyx in the Keyblade Graveyard and he implies in a cryptic way that he knows those characters are from the age of Union X. So about the word ''recusant'': I looked for its meaning on wordreference.com while working on my KH theory and I read that it means ''somebody who rejects authority'' If rejecting authority in the KH universe is equal to rejecting the Master and Luxu, then Sora would be no different from Ava, he would be a traitor too since he rejects Luxu's offer. So if there's only one traitor instead of two then there's a chance that Subject X is Ava considering that Subject X has the sigil of the recusant and she was rescued by Ansem the Wise and Luxu (plus what we know about Subject X being 15 yrs old and only remembering having 4 friends and the sentence ''May your heart be your guiding key'') And I don't think any other character could be the traitor if we take into account that the Org. XIII members have this sigil on their names, the Wayfinder trio has it on their clothes too like Sora and Xehanort has it in his name as well. *END OF KH 3 SPOILERS* Edit: I forgot to mention that according to Xehanort in BBS, the letter X means ''death'' and ''endings'' Then if we translate the X in Unchained X and KH X (Chi) they can be read as KH : Death and KH : Unchained Death, since Union X translates the X as Cross, erasing the negative connotations. Most of the wielders (except the Player) technically die in the Keyblade War and their hearts ascend to Kingdom Hearts in Back Cover, so that meaning is fitting. And X-Blade could be read as ''Death-Blade'' I think it's quite weird that a keyblade that summons Kingdom Hearts has this meaning in its name when Kingdom Hearts is known to be the source of light, in other words it's a source of life and not of death.
@@mindlessdrawing3336 While I could be wrong, I'm not Nomura after all lol, I just really don't think Ava is Subject X because of the Epilogue. Xigbar saying "I guess Ava didn't make it after all" and "I told her, clear as day, what it is I had to do" implies that Ava would indeed know that Luxu's summoning the Foretellers. So Ava being Subject X just doesn't make sense because Subject X's entry and Xigbar's lines in the epilogue don't line up. But I will admit, I don't have any firm evidence of Ava being "the one bears the sigil" other then her being a recusant for rejecting her role and denying the Master. But maybe that in and of itself is the recusant sigil, she may not have the letter X in her name but she definitely fits the bill of a recusant IF this video is correct (which who knows, it may not be!)
@@TheSecretReports Wow, I didn't notice the hint in Subject X's report, good find! Even if your theory about Ava being the traitor did turn out to be wrong in the end I think it's still fun to speculate about the story and see what happens :) I think there's more evidence of Ava being the traitor, I've checked the translation of the epilogue's Japanese version and apparently it's a bit different from the English one, Luxu says: ''Ava didn't show, as expected'' and ''Nah. If she's not here she must've finished her mission as well'' This video has captions in English: ruclips.net/video/ceyA-KGVCgc/видео.html P.S: Btw, sorry for rambling a lot in my comment ^_^U I commented too much stuff without bothering to check if it makes enough sense.
Another great video, as usual! I love reading your theories, but there's something very satisfying in your presentation of them here, too. Though, while I like that you jump straight to the point of the video, I do feel like some sort of preface would be nice for certain characters? Especially when it comes to talking about the mobile game just because its story isn't as known/accessible to people. Just like, a quick run off of who Darkness is, or just some tiny intro in the beginning of the video so its easier to slide into it as a whole. Not really sure if I'm making sense haha it's more a flow thing I guess. Also is Darkness the character that killed Strelitizia or is that separate? Either way I really loved watching this, keep up the good work!
Yeah I see your point LOL. I'm trying really hard to avoid super long intros, so maybe I can practice balancing a short and effective introduction. I guess my train of thought for this video was "why would they watch a video on Darkness if they don't even know who that is" but I realize now that's not a fair train of thought- I should quickly explain anyway. And I actually purposely left out if Darkness killed Strelitizia because it really could be either of the two- them or Brain. Brain I would say has the more evidence, but only because we know more about him in general, if we learn more about Darkness I'm sure they'll be more suspicious as well. Either way though, it doesn't look good for either of them 😬
I honestly thought the traitor was Ira solely based on the fact that he has nightmare eyes on his unicorn mask, but you've convinced me. Your theory makes so much sense. Very lovely video!
The quality of the video!!!! So cool!!!! Such an interesting theory with a lot of quotes and critical analysis (as in, not just trying to scream the point to make it seem more believable?) Professional, interesting, all in all such a good treat. Subscribed!
I like this theory. It would be a big plot twist. However, I personally believe that Darkness is a time traveling Vanitas. Since he is part of Ventus and Ventus existed during the X Saga, Vanitas would be able to time travel since part of him exists at that time. In KH3, he says "I am darkness" and I think that that is more than just a nickname. I made a video about who killed Strelitzia and this is part of that if you want to check it out. As for Ava, I think she did what Luxu did and possessed people throughout time. I think she is Kairi's grandmother and Lea and Isa's friend. I'm making a video for that too. Great channel by the way, you deserve a lot more subs!
Maxori Gaming! The girl lea and isa talk about has to be skuld, they reference her being like what 15 years old? And Ven was carried over into the present day events too also at around the same age, and they mention her referencing the 4 other leaders, keyblades and such, her and Ven had to have come forth in time together and she ended up in a worse position. We know where Ven is, we’ve seen Ephemera, we know about Marluxia, Brain is of course a mystery, but I have to assume whatever happened to skuld, she was subject x
@@SSlash If age matters, then Xigbar would look much older because he is possessed by Luxu. So Skuld being 15 doesn't matter since Ava could've just possessed anyone of any age. In Union X, Lauriam doesn't look that much older than Ven but in KH3 they look like they're about 10 years apart, maybe a little less. Lauriam, Ven, Brain, and Ephemer aren't necessarily the four mentioned. It could be Ira, Invi, Aced, and Gula, or perhaps Nomura wants to hit us with a plot twist like he ALWAYS does and the mentioned four don't even matter. Honestly, any Kingdom Hearts fan should know that whatever the most obvious thing is isn't what Nomura has in mind. He loves to make us think one thing and have it turn out to be something else(making us think Lauriam killed Strelitzia, Organization XIII not having hearts, Xehanort being the worst person ever that just wanted the world to be covered in darkness, etc). This is the formula he always uses and I doubt that most of what people are thinking right now is correct. I'm not saying that I'm correct. These are all just theories. But don't tell me that "The girl Lea and Isa talk about HAS to be Skuld". Because nothing HAS to be anything until it's proven in the games.
Maxori Gaming! I’m just saying, it’s a really unneeded complication and stretch of the imagination for Kairi’s grandma and Subject x to be the same person because, they literally existed at the same time, Ansem the Wise was already studying on her at that time, Lea and Isa were trying to sneak in at this point already. Besides, I mean, why would they have Ava be possessing that person, this person we would otherwise no nothing about, wouldn’t it make much more sense to tie the other characters from Ux in as well? Instead of just leaving skuld entirely up in the air? Like I said Brain is mysteriously not appeared outside of Ux in any way because they of course want him to be a complete mystery, he’s the weird one, he’s the most suspicious, they got more in store for him no doubt. I don’t want to say I’m 100% right even I make it sound like I do, because it’s just my thoughts, I’m just going off of what has been given to me and not trying to jump hoops through logic and say one character has possessed 2 people and the same point in time 🤷🏼♂️
@@SSlash I don't think Ava was possessing both at the same time. I think that just like Luxu she took many people throughout her years. When it was time for Kairi's grandmother to die(most likely due to old age) she took the girl that Lea and Isa were friends with and that would explain why no one knows where she is. And for all we know, Skuld could be the one that killed Strelitzia. That would be a plot twist.
What's also great is that the main art for KHUX's title screen has a black cloaked (seemingly female) character holding a flower. That could possibly be Ava as Darkness out in the open without any magic illusion disguise. I always knew Ava as the traitor made the most sense based on contextual scenes shown here and would be the most narratively interesting, but her as Darkness with amazing evidence just makes the story arc that much more engaging! Great job!
Great video, I agree with your analysis on Ava because ever since talking with Luxu, she became the opposite of who she was originally. Looking forward to your channel's future.
This was so fun to watch!! I loved the editing and Im not fully through the video right now but Im hoping that her being "darkness" is her actually being good or something like that
As a KH fan ever since I was in grade school having played all the games excluding the union x games, this has been excellent to watch. A very clean and informative presentation! You have a fan now and I am patiently waiting for more videos to come! Maybe lets play kh games with commentary in the future? Anyways best of luck! Lets enjoy KH for as long as it can!
There's also a tie-in theory that Ava is actually Demyx(Demyx's apperance being her current disguise). It seems to be that Ava is trying to get Dandelions and Sora's crew to notice the MoM's plan(that's why she wanted Sora's team and the Dandelions leaders to meet), but unfortunately it is and already was too late. So far it's all going in the direction the MoM has wanted it to(the mission as well, and I do belive that Luxu later realizes what I'm about to quote) and as Luxu said : "The whole Union leader thing was supposed to be by the books. Are these new events just another phase in the Master's grand plan?" It's like he's just using and switching the paws on the chessboard however he wants, even having a whole array of events that were not supposed to be touched to not crumbled what he wants to accomplish.
Exellent edition!! Super fluid, interesting to watch, simple and clean. I'm not sure about the part of being working with Brain, because it doesnt't make sense that Ava recruit Strellitzia to be a union leader if she was going to kill her anyway. But for all means, you made an excellent work. I will wait impatiently for the next theory. Thank you so much for your excellent work, and congratulations from Spain!!
It's a very good, and fairly compelling, theory. What I like most is that, while ultimate circumstantial, it's lined up in a very plausible and coherent argument that accounts for many derivations without losing any weight. It's kibda hard to shoot down and fits with the rather grey morality of Kingdom Hearts beneath the veneer of 'light and darkness'. Awesome vid. If nothing else, it'd make for a fantastic plot piece either in canon or any good fan fiction. I personally think it could be pretty cool to see, especially if she had something to do with Soara going missing cuz of that 'mission'.
This just made me think, what if Ava is the voice in the darkness that leads Sora through the beginning of each Kingdom Hearts game? You can only read the voice, but it seems to fit thematically with Ava's role of training new Keyblade wielders, as well as her been a kind person who would want to help Sora and other people out. Helping Sora could be the mission that Luxu (Xigbar) mentions at the end of KH3, as it is the ultimate catalyst of bringing the Master (MoM) back to finally confront him.
Before watching the video: wtf lmao what how is Ava Darkness in ANY WAY?! During the video: ...holy shit this actually makes sense... but... what... how... NOMURAAAAAA!!!
That’s an amazing theory, the most convincing one so far it just makes a whole lot of sense(which is something KH is not too well known for lol). I feel with all my heart that this next arc is going to be Nomura’s chance to prove himself and give us a story that blows our minds and put all the inconsistencies behind us. It’s a new era for KH and it’s going to be GOOD!
Hey! That was brilliant to watch. Your thoughts are coherent and well presented and you take the time to explain what you considered important. Fantastic work!
It's interesting that Ava calls herself "Darkness" she could have chosen any alias but she chose this in specific, I believe that she must have realised what was going on, that she is the reason why the Keyblade War begin, she must feel guilty hence calling herself "Darkness" aka the reason of the end of the world. I'm really interested to know what role will she have in future games, if the whole "The foretelers are the villains of the next arc" thing is true then she might be the one to side with Sora and crew, which will be the way that they will learn about the OG Keyblade War and probably know more about Ventus. Really excited to see what Nomura pulls for the next game. The man caught me in a loophole.
I would beg to ask though, why was Ava minipulating Ventus and why did she or Ventus darkness eliminate Steriliza? Did she know something that she wasn't supposed to tell the other Dandelions?
I love this theory and honestly think its true, and this actually made me think of a theory, the book said "on this land will darkness prevail and light expire" I don't think it was talking about the war, it was talking about what the master set up. The master gave the foretellers their roles knowing full well what would happen, and as he planned, they started doubting each other, and one by one turning to the darkness. Ava realized this and like you theorize, went incognito as Darkness, turning into the traitor, but she was a traitor to the plan, not the light, and in the next storyline she may play a tremendous role in defeating the foretellers
This makes sense and I HATE IT! ...But I would never understand why. Even if Ava is the "traitor" in the sense that she hated what the Master of Masters was doing (i.e. setting them up to fail and just watching by), it doesn't quite fit her M.O. of the Dandelions and her being this kind, caring individual. Would she really try to uproot and throw the Dandelions into chaos just because making the Dandelions was her "role", which she now wishes she wasn't a part of or something???? I dunno. She was one of the few Masters with a more in-depth personality, and there better be a DAMN good explanation if she's Darkness, or otherwise I'm not really sold on what they have in mind for the Masters.
This is a really great video! A few Points of Interest that while not likely, might also be worth pointing out are: - Since we know that Ava has the ability to disguise herself as other characters, it's entirely possible she's also actually Brain, and trying to mess with the Master's plan more directly as well as under the Darkness cover - This one's even less likely but worth pointing out at least, but in Strelitzia's speech in KH3 when talking about the one who killed her she says: "They took away my name-- everything about me.", and while that's a little too vague to draw proper conclusions, it could feasibly be read as their appearance being used in her place, similar to how Ava illusions herself as other people, so maybe she takes her form at some point, but this one's a bit of a reach with the info we have - Last point is that only thing I can think of against your overall point is that Darkness from the way they speak kinda implies to be on the Master's side, but i guess that could just be a cover for her? It's a little hard to say, but i definitely think it's a strong theory overall!
Oooh the first two bullets have a LOT of drama surrounding them. If either end up true, it'll be hectic scenes for KHUX!! Putting in Ava disguising herself in general was another crazy step for Nomura, like time traveling. There's so many possibilities with it, anything can happen now lmao. And for the third, I definitely see where you're coming from. I do hope Darkness shows up again soon, it'll be good to finally get more information on them and their opinion on MoM and everyone else. It's difficult to grasp them since we only have that one cutscene!
Omg...I just had the weirdest idea....since ava does have illusion magic...what if she at some point pretended to be luxord hence the scene in the first remind trailer between Xigbar and Luxord
First of all, that’s a great video in both research and exposition, because I was able to understand better something that I didn’t before, so thanks! Second of all, considering her “disguising” abilities Ava could be disguising herself as Brain and so acting effectively as the virus in MoM’s program. It is also to consider that in KH universe is now accepted the possibility to change body as Luxu did, so this could be true also in Ava’s case, despite I hope for a simple disguise answer. The fact that she could have chosen to disguise as Brain instead as the same Strelitzia could simply be in order to not make mistakes, because Lauriam could have seen through the disguise. Well, you made really think about it, good job.
I see you! Nomura, whether he means to or not, always creates just strange kingdom hearts logic that can totally be used in ridiculous ways, if he was willing to bend over backwards in the world he's created (and he has before, like with Terra and Xion in KH3, so who's to say the crazy man won't again).
This was the juiciest theory video I've watched in a while. Though I did stop searching for them for a bit. It's a very cool and interest possibility that Ava could be Darkness, and that she's been the one fulling strings in secret.
Your editing is soooo solid 😍 such a nice use of the nomura illustrations and those classic KH sound effects! Moreover, the theory and presentation in itself was really clear and easy to grasp (damnnn my girl ava is the traitor 😭 cant belive i missed that since ur right its p obvious lol) love this vid :D! cant wait to see more from this channel
You have a sub from me. You’re editing is very good and as a fan of this series (my favorite game series) I’m really liking this theory which I haven’t seen presented in such a way before! Here’s a like too keep up the great work c:{
Also questions. If Ava "mission" was to bring the dandelions back to the real world and she "carried it out" with succession, then why is Ephemer shown as a projection or vision to Sora and not actually there. Almost wanna say that he's helping him beyond the grave with the rest of the dandelions. 2: Was her decision to defy the MoM bad? Like was she doing this all to save everyone's future or is she bad now and became darkness because there was no other option? I don't understand my head is spinning. 🤪
Ok so heres one thing I just realised, I was scrolling through my Twitter feed when I came across a photo of Vor (from KHUX Dark Road) With a quote and an update about who she is and her characteristics. One things for surtain, it states that she is basically "highly gifted in magic." She is also what I assume to be the youngest of the group and as such could live to grow old anyway, similar to Xehanort and Eraqus did. Its unclear and their are still many variables, but from what I can see... she fits the roll of "a certain lady of magic summoned here from the future knows more than I do." The only reason why I speculate her as a possible outcome is because we assume from this video that Ava fits this roll, but it wasn't ever clearly specified that Avas fighting style revolves around magic where "Vor" does specifically say this.
Love the video, you're doing awesome job, please do keep it up! Just one comment though: you talk about "mission" and "role" being different but I don't think that's the case here, in the Japanese version Xigbar uses the same word, 使命 shimei, when talking about himself and Ava :)
*UPDATED THOUGHTS -* August 5, 2021
Overall, this theory is *DECONFIRMED!* There are parts in it that hold up, but I don't want to mislead any new viewers into thinking this theory is still a possibility.
When did the Master call Luxu the traitor? I must have missed that
@@insertnamehere2746 It makes sense that some would miss it if they duck in and out of KHUX's story, it was very recent, literally KHUX's finale! (so, spoiler alert)

this was unbelievably fun to watch, helped in no small part by the super fluid editing and *extremely* clear presentation of ideas. Love these--really excited to hear your thoughts in future theories!
I couldn't say that better myself, i stopped the video to write a comment but found this one showing my thoughts
Access Granted.🗝
Sometimes i feel like Nomura might watch these and be like "Alright cool. I'll do that."
Or he will do more plot twist
laughed hard
Mhhhh
I don't think Nomura knew English that well. He might google Japanese theories however.
I feel like he does the opposite. “Hmm.. they’re on to me… scrap that and let’s make something else so they are technically wrong in the end”
When you think about it Ava's role was pretty dark, she basically had to choose who would get to survive the Keyblade War.
Dandelions appear as bad guys??
Or at least her personal army??
She probably picked herself
THIS is the Kingdom Hearts content we all deserve. Intelligent theory, convincing arguments, excellent editing : you deserve the 100k subs.
I feel like this is why Final Fantasy characters were removed, Kingdom Hearts now has a whole slew of characters pertaining to the main story
Well, they weren’t “removed”. They just took a backseat in KH3.
I hope in the future we get another sepheroth boss battle
People of the past, in your future (my present) it's confirmed that FF characters are back in KH3 Re☼Mind
The illusions might have something to do with the fact that she’s represented by a fox. Japanese fox spirits could create illusions to trick people. Maybe each apprentice has a special ability like this that we don’t know about? 🤔
I like your theory more but it's her Fox are known for tricks
I didn't enjoy Kingdom Hearts 3 as much as I hoped to but I'm really liking the way the story is going and I'm excited to see what happens next! I think I like this Foreteller story arc better than the Xehanort arc. Even back when I first played Kingdom Hearts 2, I have always liked Xigbar a lot. It's nice to see that he's more important than I ever thought.
Well, Re: mind is coming soon, so there's that to look forward to!
Incredible. Your Tumblr never ceases to amaze me, but these videos are an extra special treat to watch. Your editing is impeccable and your theories are so compelling! Can't wait to see whatever comes next!!
Holy shit. You predicted Ava sharing the Book of Prophecies with Brain 5 MONTHS IN ADVANCE.
interesting theory and I do believe that Ava carries within her a Darkness and she will never acknowledge it.
These videos are extremely well edited. Well done.
Just found your channel 5 minutes ago and love the amount of effort that goes into your editing! Definitely will keep watching your vids!
You sly fox.
- Xehanort
nice use of the ingame sounds for this. luv it!
This is the best theory I've ever found of Kingdom Hearts, very well thought and it makes so much sense that's almost scary.
I'll edit to add replies as I see fit*
*Ava as Subject X:*
I just really don't think Ava is Subject X because of the Epilogue.
*Ava as Kairi's Grandma:*
While I'm still not ready to jump in, I do believe this to be way more plausible than Subject X.
*The Sigil Gula mentions:*
In Back Cover when Gula states that the lost page mentions "the one who bears the sigil", while it's not stated directly, it does seem to be implying the Recusant's Sigil, and a recusant is someone who refuses to comply or submit to authority or a regulation.
The Secret Reports really good video! I love your Chanel! Really good edits and you prove the reason of your theories.
吉露玛 ohhh that’s plausible considering that Ava can transform
@The Secret Reports maybe Gula's role to find the traitor is referring to post kh3 epilogue. He knows Ava the best, therefore would be able to see past her disguise. The sigil will be a relevant clue for him then not when they were together in the age of fairy tales. So now the is game on Ava... Game on.
Ava? A traitor? That's a lied! If Ava is a traitor, there has to be a logical explanation!
What blows my mind about this theory video is that it’s 5 months old. So much more evidence has come out in support of this. Talk about being way ahead of the curve
This was amazing! Great work! And the theory makes sense! Ava being darkness does add up! Keep up the amazing theories and videos :D
No way...I literally had goosebumps from this theory because not only does it make sense but it also showcases immense attention to detail that you have beautifully demonstrated, very well done
Also you’re editing encompasses the soul of your theory which I love so much it’s the best I have seen in awhile keep it up!!!
The way that was edited gave me goosebumps-- Not to mention the theory in and of itself. Very well done. I'm amazed.
This is literally one of best kh3 theories I have ever watched. I'm right behind you on this one
The biggest pieces of evidence for this theory, IMO, are Ava's clothing and Brain's name. Think about it...

I was searching for someone like you. You tried to be as academic as possible, I like that.
Good theory by the way.
Way better than all the other KH youtubers. Very well presented and explained, I’m blown away! *subs*

This is far and beyond one of the best KH videos I have ever seen, and it makes me extremely excited to see work of this quality
The Secret Reports that is true too
I've just discovered your channel and I'm amazed by both the presentation of the theory and how detailed it is, seriously you deserve more subscribers, wow. It makes the theory that Subject X could be Skuld a lot more likely to happen. By the way, Nomura said in the KH 3 Ultimania that six of the seven black chess pieces seen in the KH3 epilogue belong to the Foretellers, I wonder if this could mean that the Ava from the chess piece is not the real Ava and instead this Ava comes from the past or it's a clone of her, it's so weird:
www.khinsider.com/news/Kingdom-Hearts-3-Ultimania-Main-Nomura-Interview-Translated-14763
By the way, I'm working on a KH theory that I'm writing on Google Docs, I don't know when I'll publish it but I don't want to rush it because I'll summarize Xehanort's arc and explain in detail the Keyblade War related games, and despite I'm analyzing cutscenes from every game I completely forgot mentioning that there's one more description of the traitor *facepalm*
Do you remember Gula saying in Back Cover that the Lost Page contains this description about the traitor: ''The one who bears the sigil''?
And we've already found out in KH 3 that Xehanort was another pawn in the Master's plan (with the Re : Mind trailer further hinting at the possibility that the Master could have manipulated Xehanort to become an admirer of darkness) When Sora rejects Luxu's offer, Xemnas fights Sora, and when the fight starts Xemnas says: ''As your flesh bears the sigil, so your name shall be known as that of a recusant''
It's like Xemnas and Luxu know a lot more than everyone else but they're not disclosing what they know.
*END OF KH 3 SPOILERS*
Edit: I forgot to mention that according to Xehanort in BBS, the letter X means ''death'' and ''endings'' Then if we translate the X in Unchained X and KH X (Chi) they can be read as KH : Death and KH : Unchained Death, since Union X translates the X as Cross, erasing the negative connotations.
Even if your theory about Ava being the traitor did turn out to be wrong in the end I think it's still fun to speculate about the story and see what happens :)
I think there's more evidence of Ava being the traitor, I've checked the translation of the epilogue's Japanese version and apparently it's a bit different from the English one, Luxu says: ''Ava didn't show, as expected'' and ''Nah. If she's not here she must've finished her mission as well'' This video has captions in English:
ruclips.net/video/ceyA-KGVCgc/видео.html
P.S: Btw, sorry for rambling a lot in my comment ^_^U I commented too much stuff without bothering to check if it makes enough sense.
Really enjoyed the editing style you had there.
Funny how this got released BEFORE a recent update showing Ava and Brain working together
I was thinking the exact same, she called it!
We’ve found it guys! The best KH channel!! My god you put a lot of work into this video!! It’s amazing!!
Either way though, it doesn't look good for either of them 😬
Great explantation, I love how you set up the whole video.
I honestly thought the traitor was Ira solely based on the fact that he has nightmare eyes on his unicorn mask, but you've convinced me. Your theory makes so much sense. Very lovely video!
A new sub!!! Glad to be part of the crew!!!
The quality of the video!!!! So cool!!!! Such an interesting theory with a lot of quotes and critical analysis (as in, not just trying to scream the point to make it seem more believable?)
Professional, interesting, all in all such a good treat.
Great job!
This video was outstanding! The editing was also exceptional and super fun to watch! Great job
If i were a college prof teaching KH, you’d get an A+ for this awesome video! And bonus marks for the clear points and visuals :)
I found this video and I can't wait for more. You're editing is great, I love the spoiler warning and keep up the good work!
Great video, I agree with your analysis on Ava because ever since talking with Luxu, she became the opposite of who she was originally. Looking forward to your channel's future.
That was really good. I feel like you've hit the mark. Its a very plausible and smart theory. I cant wait to see the next game to see what happens
So far it's all going in the direction the MoM has wanted it to(the mission as well, and I do belive that Luxu later realizes what I'm about to quote) and as Luxu said :
"The whole Union leader thing was supposed to be by the books. Are these new events just another phase in the Master's grand plan?"
It's like he's just using and switching the paws on the chessboard however he wants, even having a whole array of events that were not supposed to be touched to not crumbled what he wants to accomplish.
your vids are super high quality. youre going to blow up for sure, keep it up
I really love when you use your natural voice like this :)
Wow, what a treat to watch! Glad to have stumbled upon this, keep it up! You're doing great 👌
Exellent edition!!
I like your investigation work, more than others KH Channels. And your voice is amazing!! Greetings from México.
Watching this after the most recent story update. Nailed it on the head with this one. Good work
This just made me think, what if Ava is the voice in the darkness that leads Sora through the beginning of each Kingdom Hearts game? You can only read the voice, but it seems to fit thematically with Ava's role of training new Keyblade wielders, as well as her been a kind person who would want to help Sora and other people out. Helping Sora could be the mission that Luxu (Xigbar) mentions at the end of KH3, as it is the ultimate catalyst of bringing the Master (MoM) back to finally confront him.
Such a shame you don't have more videos up. Two quality videos if you ask me. Good work, keep at it!
Very well thought out theory and analysis. Great vid!
You were so on point! Definitely curious to see what happens next
Wow....this is my first watching you and I’m very impressed by your theory, you have a great structure to your information very awesome
I would beg to ask though, why was Ava minipulating Ventus and why did she or Ventus darkness eliminate Steriliza? Did she know something that she wasn't supposed to tell the other Dandelions?
Cause she is darkness
I love this theory and honestly think its true, and this actually made me think of a theory, the book said "on this land will darkness prevail and light expire" I don't think it was talking about the war, it was talking about what the master set up. The master gave the foretellers their roles knowing full well what would happen, and as he planned, they started doubting each other, and one by one turning to the darkness. Ava realized this and like you theorize, went incognito as Darkness, turning into the traitor, but she was a traitor to the plan, not the light, and in the next storyline she may play a tremendous role in defeating the foretellers
OMGosh, I love your videos, pls make more, it's satisfying to watch such organized theories
U wasn't wrong about ave becoming the darkness
Never played a Kingdom Heart game, but now I want to see more KH history videos, that's a thumbs up
This is a really great video! A few Points of Interest that while not likely, might also be worth pointing out are:
- Since we know that Ava has the ability to disguise herself as other characters, it's entirely possible she's also actually Brain, and trying to mess with the Master's plan more directly as well as under the Darkness cover
- This one's even less likely but worth pointing out at least, but in Strelitzia's speech in KH3 when talking about the one who killed her she says: "They took away my name-- everything about me.", and while that's a little too vague to draw proper conclusions, it could feasibly be read as their appearance being used in her place, similar to how Ava illusions herself as other people, so maybe she takes her form at some point, but this one's a bit of a reach with the info we have
- Last point is that only thing I can think of against your overall point is that Darkness from the way they speak kinda implies to be on the Master's side, but i guess that could just be a cover for her?
Really good analysis! Wonderful visuals and sound effects! Thanks for uploading!
Omg...I just had the weirdest idea....since ava does have illusion magic...what if she at some point pretended to be luxord hence the scene in the first remind trailer between Xigbar and Luxord
congratulations^^
I believe Ava is Darkness, but I am 100% positive she’s hiding in plain sight in the main series-as Namine!
Damn, from the recent screenshots it looks like Nomura's been watching theory videos. This one specifically.
Trust me he didn't get the idea from me, if it holds true, he's been planning this long before the video haha.
And with the new update of KH UX, this makes way more sense ! Good job !
You have a sub from me. You’re editing is very good and as a fan of this series (my favorite game series) I’m really liking this theory which I haven’t seen presented in such a way before! Here’s a like too keep up the great work c:{
Why did I just now discover your account? Subbed!
Ooooh!!! I'm really glad you said that then, thank you!
@@TheSecretReports No problem, glad to be of help!
Wow these videos area absolutely amazing, I can't believe how fun these were to watch!
