If turns out the KH world is actually the fictional one, and those lost souls are humans from reality that cling to their childhood fictional memories. I might cry in existential crisis.
I hope not, that's the same twist from Star Ocean: Til the end of Time. It pissed me off so much that I noped the disc out of my ps2. Then traded the game at gamestop for credit the next day.
@Hudson Bradford Yeah. Vs XIII looked really cool until Square killed it with the mediocrity of 15, so I'd be very hyped if Verum Rex turned into an actual game for us to play
Wait a god damn minute. By versus 13 do they mean the FF cast will fight 13 Norted vessels? They either planned this for a decade or just pulling major bullshits together.
@@straypaper lol no. Final Fantasy vs. XIII is what FFXV started out as. It was Nomura’s idea and was going to be a spin off of the mainline FF series. Due to its development taking too long, though, Square axed him of the project and turned it into the rushed game that was FFXV
They're gonna have to make a CG movie just to explain the mobile games before the next main game. So much casual fans will miss and be confused about. Either that or a VERY thorough recap section because my god.
Man I hope not. I'd really like a final console version, like a Kingdom Hearts Re:Union X. That would be a good, fun way to get the more casual fans caught up.
@@AndrewDeng Agreed. A console version that cuts out most of the filler missions and focuses mostly on the story, all arcs of them (with Ava and co, then ventus and co, then the final). I'd play that, even if still in chibi. Though I would prefer a proper cgi/3d version of the game. I doubt thats going to happen anytime soon though. There are probably tons of plans for new games and media that will get priority. I hope to be wrong. A proper game of that setting would be great.
@@damo there might be a chance that the spirit like star could be the the fortellers that didn't show up in the keyblade graveyard after kingdom hearts 3 and her body is already taken over by the master of masters. And sora will have to fight the master of masters and the other 4 fortellers to get the girl's heart back. Plus that girl like ghost star could be the unknown girl in the ansem reports who might have been that missing forteller but came to the kingdom hearts universe in order to stop the master of masters plans. But was taken over by the master of masters by luxu/zigbar putting the master of masters heart in her like xehanort tried to do to sora in in trying to make sora his 13th vessel.
The reason Kairi probably ended up on Destiny Islands was because of "Coincidence and fate" The Coincidence being that Xehanort planned on throwing her into the void to find a keyblade user, and the Fate being that Aqua's spell would lead Kairi to a LIGHT that would protect her. Sora's light, a light that had already protected someone else before too, Ventus.
And keep in mind, at the time she was launched, riku was already bequeathed. So she went to a future keyblade wielder, and a source of light. Then there's also the fact that ventus' heart was there too which is pure light thanks to xehanort, and he also has a keyblade. So kairi went to 2 keyblades and 2 very strong lights
If Verum Rex does become an actual game, then it could be about traveling to Final Fantasy worlds or other Square-Enix IPs, until you bump into Riku, possibly as a secret boss.
Not sure if this an unpopular opinion or not but I really hope not. I love me some square based worlds, but with protags like Riku Sora or Kairi. I do not want Yozora to become anything more then story and boss character. I dont want him playable because I fear he would replace the established cast. Nomura seems to have a problem letting go of things of the past and him projecting that on Yozara makes me worried he will come to take things over and ruin everything that has been established. If he MUST be playable, I want a verum rex game thats actualy a verum rex game like Sora saw the trailer off with not direct connections to the KH lore and characters. That or I want a DDD type game with him and Riku as temp allies for whatever reason. Either way I am not comfy with Yozora (and his design looking like a more ''cool'' emo version of Riku and having ties to Sora.. he feels gary stu already) as anything other then a possible ally or enemie unless they can include him as a main withoud shoving established characters aside DBZ style. I dont want him to be the vegeta that makes Riku's piccolo redundant. KH already suffers from not making good use of it's cast of beloved and established characters (days trio, Namine, BBS trio. KAIRI!.. they could all be utelised further in meaningfull and interesting ways). Nomura seems to have lost interest in them and is focused on his shiny new toys. That usualy creates terrible story telling (case in point KH3). So yeah.. please do not ley Yozora become the ''cool'' Sora or Riku that gets to do KH awesomeness but with cooler worlds.. No. If you must, use Riku (and KAIRI!) for that and have Yozora pop up every once in a while. Or give Yozora a spinn off game that does not follow the KH formula of world traveling and make him a main of a spin off branch, leaving the guardians of light to stay relevant in the main vein of the franchise.
@@amberanime this, exactly this is why I hate the youzora stuff, o feel that Nomoura just wants to turn kingdom hearts into Vs 13 2.0... And I honestly wouldn't mind Vs 13 2.0, if he actually wrapped up kingdom hearts in a satisfying way opposed to trying to shoehorn it into kingdom hearts and having the kingdom hearts cast effectly replaced by the Vs 13 facismiles, I'm going to put my full opinion on MoM here as it elaborates on my points about the beloved KH chairicters being shafted as you said, but be warned, this is pretty vicious as this game angered me with it's story, more than KH3 even My overall thoughts: I'm glad I brought MoM for the music and not the story, because what little there is is absolutely atroticus and highlights the series's biggest problems in a glaring way, the Kairi shading from Nomoura and the fact Nomoura seemingly just cannot write forwards, at all and develop the personalities of the charicters further, and this enraged me more than the mess that was KH3, Kairi's treatment is once again disgusting, as while it's true this isn't a Kairi Game, she still gets shafted really hard here, bot only does she lose to Xehanort in the cutscene ((understandable to a degree, and she put up a great fight)) but she is LITERALLY replaced with Sora as she gets up for the final battle and you play the final battle as Sora, robbing Kairi of the chance to show her strengh and face her fears. They didn't need to have Sora outright replace Her, they could of just had an apperation of him materialize behind her, just like he did when Micky was shooting that giant keyhole in RE:mind, doesn't help that KH3 turned Aqua into a punching bag and forced her to rely on Sora, I get that Sora is the main charicter, but come on, let the other charicters do something, especially Kairi. And I don't see much point in Kairi traning with Aqua, all the other promises of Kairi becoming stronger and helping have been nothing more than bait to entice us to buy the next game. She was put in the equivilant of the hyperbolic time chamber, and still came out almost useless, I don't see how traning with Aqua is going to help her. And while this has been the case since the end of KH2, the fact Nomoura and co. Did effectively nothing with the charicters during the year they were searching for Sora kinda shows he cannot write forwards at all or develop the charicters or for some reason, doesn't want to, he only goes Backwards for the sake of twists and mysteries. As someone else said: "Killed the bad guys of KH 1 and 2? Better Go back in time and make a bigger bad behind everything" "Not enough charicters to fit arbitrary number requirements? We'll Go back in time and clone more Xehanorts and Soras," "Killed the organisation? Let's Go back in time and make them more relevant and revive them" "Killed Xehanort? Let's back in time to make a bigger bad who orchestrated Xehanort orchestrating the entire thing" And not only that, but they threw away several perfect opportunites to actually move forwards with the charicters here and develop their bonds of friendship... I know they said there wouldn't be much story in MoM, but it would of been nIce to have had a cutscene after the recap of each game showing what the chairicters had been up to and how their relationships developed during the year Kairi was asleep, Especially the sea salt and wayfinder trio's who have been seperated apart for so long, I'd of loved to see if they had managed to reconnect and how their friendship developed as they searched for Sora. as well show and expand on their own attempts to find Sora opposed to the fairy god mother just coming in with a Deus ex machina exposition dump at the end about where Sora is and what they need to do. Rendering MDG's trips though the Disney worlds and TVA's trip though the realm of darkness a completly pointless waste of time and sad waste of potental to develop their bonds of friendship and basically kick them out of the plot again... Shafting of Kairi and most of thr other gaurdians of lights, Nomoura's wasting opportunities to do charicter development by moving things forward via deus ex machina, promising Kairi will be stronger for the next gane.. all we need is a vauge and unexplained concept used for sequal bait and then that's everything wrong with the writing and series story together in one package in my opinion ((and we kinda have that with the whole unreality thing, how many alternate plains of existance do we need? We have light, dark, in between, nothingness, data, dream, unchained, sleeping and now fiction/ unreality)) The team should of put more effort into KH3 and ending the series there with MoM acting as a musical journey to round of the series, they should of just dropped the the fortellers, book of prophecies and MoM and kept them relevant to union X and dark road only. And instead just moved on to the FF Vs 13 2.0 they seem to desperately want to make instead instead of trying to turn kingdom hearts into Vs 13 2.0 And I want to add it's disgusting how they've been baiting us with promises that Kairi will be useful.since KH 2 and then shafting her every single time, and using the same lie to hyper up every new release Kairi has a keyblade now! Can't wait for her to be useful in the next game! Kairi is traning under yen sid! Can't wait for her to be useful in the next game! Kairi is in a secret world where time doesn't flow giving her unlimited time to train with Lea under Merlin, can't wait for her to be useful in the keyblade war and the next game! Kairi will be traning under aqua, why should I beleave them Kairi will be useful when they've lied to us since KH2, they are just keeping Kiari weak so they can keep baiting us into buying future games in hopes she actually does something.
In a humorous sense, kh characters beating the heck out of Exdeath with boco is kinda cool. With exdeath in the meantime calling out his dissidia 012 catchphrases. Hahaha Or ultimecia for that matter. Or even Kefka.
Oh my god, I remember a while ago when people were speculating that everything that happens in kingdom hearts is just a dream SORA is having, and when it ends, he wakes up he’s gonna go downstairs and eat his dinner. This stuff actually makes me think that could be true, all this talk about Unreality, and when SORA originally said “is any of this real or not?”
Honestly, I'm not sure what people were expecting. Did y'all really think that Kairi was going to single-handedly demolish the main antagonist of the Dark Seeker arc? Frankly, I was impressed that she held up as well as she did. Edit: After sitting on the ending for a few hours now, I have more to say. For the people mad about her not going with Riku, consider that Mickey was also forced to stay because it was too dangerous. Donald and Goofy aren't going anywhere either (which I'm thankful for because they'd be horrific in Quadratum's artstyle), so it wasn't unreasonable for her to stay as well. If anything, Kairi was wise in exercising a pretty solid degree of self-restraint by realizing that she couldn't mount a successful rescue operation (unlike Sora in KH3, who kept trying to go save Aqua). At first I was thinking that there wasn't any net gain or net loss for Kairi's characterization, but the more I think about it, the more pleased I am. Quadratum is quite literally uncharted territory, so it makes me happy to see that the characters are acting rationally and treating it as such.
@@Celebi50 Well with that logic, how was she supposed to lose to the big bad without ending up as a "damsel in distress"? Losing a fight and needing help doesn't automatically turn you into a damsel in distress.
@@eternalpain7762 The problem is just that people have been wanting a proper Kairi game for so long. Then she got shafted to a music game. Then in said music game she doesn't even get to beat her own final boss by herself. You argue that against Xehanort that makes sense. I'd agree if not for the following issues with that. 1) thats not actualy the real xehanort but a memory version of kairi's. 2) Sora managed to defeat Ansem seeker of darkness when he was just a kid with no proper training what so ever. And right after Riku and Sora whipe the floor with adult experienced org members in castle oblivion. Going realistic with Kairi doesn't work if the franchise doesn't go realistic with the boys either. 3) Nomura could just as easely have created a final boss that Kairi could beat by herself. (and honestly I feel a memory version of somebody should qualify as beatable) Then further frustrations arise when Sora once again saves the day even when he is missing. It's like since KH3 characters are not allowed to defeat bosses withoud Sora's help anymore. It's not just Kairi that had this problem but all guardians of light have been mistreated since KH3. And the trent went on here. As a human being I do think Kairi made a mature and realistic choice. However this is kingdom hearts. Reality has no place here. People just want to see Kairi being done more justice of the bad ass kind like the boys have. People want to see her go on adventures like the boys, defeat her own bosses like the boys etc. if Kairi had been done justice before this game I doubt people would have been nearly as upset with her being shoved aside for the boys AGAIN. And thats exactly what happens. Sora saves the day, Riku gets to go on the epic adventure. Kairi goes being a responsible girl and ''train'' again. Considering the last time she left to train that resulted in nothing (not even screentime of her and Lea training) so people are sceptic her training with Aqua will give us any real substance to look foreward too. It feels like she is being shoved to background again. Of course we hope we're wrong and perhaps the next game is one starring Aqua and Kairi on their own epic adventure that results in Kairi learning the power of wakening and her going after Riku to join his side and be awesome together (because god knows those 2 need more character interaction thats not soley about their shared love for Sora omg. These friends didn't hug or touch in a friendly way even once.. Riku was leaving to a new dangerous world, and no hugs, no charms, no nothing. From either of them. It's to depressing for words.)
Id love a Riku focused game on restoring Stellas body. Also, hopefully this is a great way to introduce Final Fantasy games as visitable worlds in future KH games.
When he said Quadratum was latin for SQUARE and started talking about the wards of Tokyo, it made me look up a map of the wards of Tokyo. I was surprised to find that Shibuya and Shinjku are two of four wards that form a sort of SQUARE in the map of the wardsTokyo. The other two being Minato and Chiyoda. It may not be much but I thought that was quite interesting!
damo279: "It's interesting that she remembers Sora despite him rewriting the events of his own death..." Nomura: "Oh shit" damo279: "...which suggests the final world may be temporarily immune." Nomura: "Ah yes, that's it!"

Dude, remember when it was just 3 kids chilling on Destiny Islands, eating paopu fruits and screwing around. This series just gets more and more complex and confusing. 😂
by my speculation this alternate reality is where the MoM runs off to when he "disappears" The Lost Masters Ira, Aced, Envi, and Gula after the keyblade War were sent to this alternate reality that Sora is currently in as well. Yen sid said the Lost Masters knew about the alternate reality and knew how to go between them. When Ira said to Luxu "did you summon us back?" Luxu summoned them back from the alternate reality back to the KH one.
That actually kind of makes sense. MoM uses time shenanigans to set up the series with making the keyblades & unions (probably coming from the future) for whatever reason, and he's kicked out of reality bc he broke a law of nature. He then sets up No-Name & Luxu to ensure whatever he wants to happen in the future goes off without a hitch.
Yes, that's exactly what happened we've literally already seen the Master of Masters in that world. Except that I doubt the foretellers or even he can travel back and forward freely, I feel like the Master returning to set xehanort on his path was a pretty special case. It's literally what my next video is gonna be about so stay tuned!
I just still don't get it though... What was the point of it all for M.O.M .... All these centuries of manipulation better lead up to something worth seeing.
Random thoughts: - Quadratum also brings to mind the word “quadratura” : “Illusionistic ceiling painting, which includes the techniques of perspective di sotto in sù and quadratura...to create the illusion of three-dimensional space on an otherwise two-dimensional or mostly flat ceiling surface above the viewer. It is frequently used to create the illusion an open sky...” Sounds like a certain secret boss fight to me... - What are the chances that one of the nameless stars we encounter in the final world is the heart of an upper or lower class men we meet in KHDR? - Good catch regrading Riku’s pillar of light and Sora’s keyhole. It gives the impression that the Final world is truly final as it’s, in essence, the outer surface of the universe. Thus hearts gather here before they permanently leave the universe for good. Last time I recall seeing a pillar of light like Riku’s was in the Verum Rex commercial. It emanated from Stella and pierced the sky in a similar manner. I hate this series. I love this series.
We also know that these characters are supposed to be remnants of what was FFvs13, right? But have you noticed that on Yozora's outfit, despite being a KH character, he has chocobos on his outfit? Not only that, but nobody symbols too. So is Yozora a nobody of somebody? He DID mention that he doesn't normally look like the way he does. Not only that, but if he doesn't normally look the way he does, why is it that in the Verum Rex trailer, despite being in Quadratum, he looks just as he does when you fight him? Was his appearance changed prior to when that trailer takes place?
@@dailydelphox Yozora also sports crossed keyblades on his shoulders, and plaid (of course) embellishments on his clothing that are covered in squares. I feel you're right in pointing out these costuming elements as important, Delaney. Especially taking into consideration Nomura's deep love of fashion and streetwear. I'm of the mind that the clothing in this series does some serious heavy lifting story wise and am surprised some RUclips fashionista hasn't delved into this area of the series. Ironically, the clothing in this series says absolutely nothing about what these characters would like to wear...it's all about who they are in the narrative.
Let's not forget the fact Yozora's model has chocobos and Nobody symbols on his outfit. This is gonna sound crazy, but is it possible that Yozora in-universe is a Final Fantasy character who hasn't debuted in a Final Fantasy game, whose been turned into a Nobody and thrusted into the Kingdom Hearts world? It's no secret that Verum Rex and the characters within are the remnants of Final Fantasy Versus 13, but how far is Nomura going to go with this? Are they going to be treated as Kingdom Hearts characters and nothing more? Is the series gonna get meta somehow?
@@ziegander Who knows? It's possible the Nobody symbol is a minor detail the designer/animator put on without much thought, but it could mean something in the future too?

@@marcosdheleno I think it's been confirmed that Sora's not in the same Shibuya already though. (In Kingdom Hearts, it's not even called Shibuya, it's called "Quadratum.") So it's likely just Nomura re-using the design so he can get away with putting real life Japan into the game.
@@dailydelphox what if, quadratum isnt the world, but the universe? kingdom hearts is set in the disney(esque) universe, but what if quadratum is the square equivalent? a universe filled with square-based worlds? imagine a world based on chrono trigger, or another based on freaking tobal...
Whatever they do, I hope they write in a way to make the "Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee" relevant to this "fictional world". I want it to be revealed that they too were from that world, but their memories of their time there have been suppressed and forgotten, which led to them accepting Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden as their residence.
The city of Quadratum or rather the world of fiction is so god damn versus 13, if i recall correctly versus 13 was supposed to be set in the real world. So the world of fiction is not really fiction, but rather reality and the KH world is actually the world of fiction. It would fit well into the super meta convoluted story of the KH series.
I personally see Melody of Memory as the epilogue to the Xehanort saga, as well as the game that finishes setting up the next saga (KH III base game has moments that feel like the next saga is being set up). Imagine if the next saga has Riku and other characters travelling to Final Fantasy Worlds (with Verum Rex being one of the “main” worlds), and since the world order doesn’t really exist for FF characters, imagine stuff like Zidane and Bartz in the world of FF6, or Squall and a now grown up Tidus helping out in the search for Sora by going to FF15, and maybe finally continuing the Cloud vs Sephiroth sub-story. And if Maleficent is the main Disney antagonist, have Garland (FF1 villain) be the main FF antagonist.
Since Quadratum means square it makes sense that it is on the "other side" as the side we have been on so far has been made up primarily of Disney worlds and the Kingdom Hearts games are made by Disney and Square Enix
When you remember that old interview Nomura, before he was taken out of FF Versus XIII, saying how the parallel between Sora and Noctis is important to the story and all, Noctis Caelum meaning Night Sky (as now Yozora also means Night Sky) and how he was planning for KH e Versus XIII to connect in some way, we can see how he planned this move from the start! The part of the interview at Japan Expo: Finaland & FFDream: You’ve created a lot of characters for the Final Fantasy series. What’s your favorite character between all those you’ve created ? Tetsuya Nomura: Hmm if I had to choose a favorite character, I would say Sora, and Noctis. Why them? Of course Sora, I’ve been together with him for more than ten years now, this is the first time i’ve been with a character for such a long time, so he’s very very special for me and he’s been adopted by Disney also, so he’s a very very good boy. More like a good son actually. Also there is Noctis, he hasn’t been in front of you, I mean moving etc yet in a real gameplay but he will soon, in the future. Do you know the name Sora mean the “sky”, in japanese and Noctis, his family name is Caelum which mean sky as well so basically, Noctis mean “night sky”, so they are kind of complete opposites to each other. There is a reason why I named these characters as opposites. Noctis is kind of like my latest boy, or latest son and I expect him to be more clever than Cloud.
This whole “fiction world” talk fits in well with YMX’s “this world is real” regarding the Grid in DDD. Also would be interesting if it had any connection to the stuff Joshua was talking about
Agreed on Joshua. He seems to know more then he lets on and if you know him from his actual game .. well he could be made to fit into the story with a larger role rather easely. I don't think they will. But I hope so because I want to see those characters again, and see characters like Joshua and Luxu and/or MOM interact. Would be an interesting conversation I think..
I find it contrived that Fairy Godmother can just bring herself, Kairi, and Riku to the Final World just like that. But I did remember some things about that place. According to Chirithy, the Final World rests between the afterlife(ie Kingdom Hearts) and sleep. If we were to take Fairy Godmother’s power over dreams at face value, then she is powerful enough to travel through dreams until she reached the Final World. Having Kairi along who had dreams/memories of that place would make it easier to find it. I wish we get a proper explanation but oh well.
@@marcoa6319 I think that is the explanation. She rules over dreams and with that comes sleep and all sleeping worlds. She can go to and from these worlds if they are within her range of dreams.
@@devilovesdevil Doesn’t explain why she didn’t help in DDD in the first place. It could easily be a retcon or you need someone who’ve been their before in the dreams to use them as a conduit for travel.
I ws really happy to see the Fairy Godmother get a substantial part at the end. I wish Disney would give SE more freedom with their characters, they work best like this.
Plot twist: Sora becomes a master in Kingdom Hearts IV but loses the title of master again so he has to get it back in the expansion DLC "Kingdom Hearts 4: ReMastered."

Quadratum is going to be a very important subject for KH4 or another Kingdom Hearts IP. Plus, I just feel like there is a very strong connection between Sora and Yazora. In fact, the connection is quite literal at this point- near same name, same design, yeah... Maybe Riku will fight Yazora and free Sora's heart from each other or something, not sure.
The possibilities are endless! So many Final Fantasy Worlds to choose from. Can everyone imagine Sora meeting Tidus in Zanarkand, or maybe going to Spira with him! Bumping into Auron again. I'M SUPER EXCITED!

But then how’d you end up with Hades?”, while pulling Tidus in disbelief and just being like “Actually yeah that makes sense with Auron”
Imagine all the FF charaters from kingdom hearts that dissapeared like Zack Cloud Auron were all in the same world as sora is right now. We would have an endgame lol
Summary: Kairi went into her memories and “discovered” that world between light and darkness existed, a “fictional world” as told by Ansem the Wise. Here the find a star/spirit that was connected to Sora. She tells them of a city that she knew that fits the description. Riku learns of this and decides to go on his own.
I still womder if the Master of Masters has more to do with this game than we think. The game having the same initials(MoM) seems a little too suspiscious and coincidental.
I have looked to Japanese websites about any spoilers of MoM, and till so far I have not seen any mention of him anywhere. So maybe for this time it is just a coincidence after all. @@crashboredom2 Yes. However, I am speaking more Meta. I think Mom is setting up the game Young Xehanort and Eraqus will be playing, and on a metafiction level, the games we will be playing. He needs Sora to be in "Square" so he can "play" him. Its a fiction he is standing in, with a goal he wrote.
Some thoughts of mine: - I know we saw Shibuya and Shinjuku, but perhaps in Verum Rex's world, they're simply merged and recognized as one bigger city called Quadratum. Hrm...are there two other districts of Tokyo that could be part of Quadratum? - We may have seen a few fictional worlds up to this point - namely, Hundred-Acre Wood, the Other Twilight Town, and Game Central Station (including Niceland, Cy-Bug Sector, and Candy Kingdom, of course). Maybe even the Scala ad Caelum that was generated from Xehanort's memories through his portal. - Did Yozora and the star lose their bodies in a similar way that Luxu claimed semblances over the ages? If so, they may have been replaced by people with a similar power. Actually, what's become of Yozora's two comrades, Magia and Aegis? Also...how many Foretellers was it that answered Luxu's call, again? Four of them? - We still don't know who the three remaining New Seven Hearts are...but maybe we will within the next two games?
I actually wonder if the girl's name would be the Japanese word for "star" instead of the Latin, "Stella" (just like how Noctis Caelum was switched to Yozora). Google translate tells me it's "Hoshi"
@@gustavju4686 i mean, it could be... but there's not enough evidence for me to think that her name has anything to do with Sora tbh. Still, it's a possibility
Just wanted to say how much I love your KH videos. Square should totally hire you for localization. Heck, Nomura should hire you because you seem to be able to keep this almost as straight as he can! Any thoughts on MoM (melody of memories) having a connection with MoM (master of masters)?
Okay okay okay. So if this is the course of the next game, then wouldn’t the bad ending of Sora vs. Yozora be the canon one? If Sora wins he goes back in the final world. When he loses, he gets trapped in that crystal structure, meaning he stays in Quadratum.
Yeah from what you say this is has to be it iam starting to think when you beat yozora it’s more like a node to just seeing more secret lore and that’s it nothing more nothing less kinda like examples finishing side quest in kingdoms hearts games to get extra lore of an ending that’s how iam taking this of you beat yozora congratulations here’s more lore for ya simple as that.
I think the next spinoff we’re gonna play as yazora ether as during the trials he mentioned or after he beat sora and try’s to find a way to unfreeze sora (also as a cool super boss ideas we could fight the guardians of light since they prob think he’s a bad guy)
No "fictional" worlds... but worlds of "fantasy?" That the portal to is from the last world. Synonym "final." I could be looking to much into this or i could be looking exactly right for kh lore lol.
6:30 I never thought of that! 😄 Although it make Sense that she remembers Sora despite the Time Travel! 😂 I mean Chirithy remembered Sora in Remind even though he changed the Timeline! It make sense! 😂
I've seen some discussion about the MOM how much he planned about Sora/Riku going to Quadratum, and how much he is involved in the ending cutscenes of the game. Here's one for ya: The memory of Xehanort still wields the gazing eye when he encounters Kairi in the Final World. If the memory of the keyblade suffices to give the MOM visions of the future (which is a bit murky to be fair), it's not outside the realm of possibilities that he deliberately planned for Kairi (and the gang) to find out about the other side of reality through this.
i REALLLYY REALLLY hope they explain how xehanort found out,in dark road.a dn they need to WRAP UP the chi/union cross story already so they can focurs on dark road and others
Maybe Sora and Yozora are the same person but from different universes, just like Stella is to Kari but in their own world.maybe Sora must have traveled to an alternative dimension for breaking his own world’s laws. The video is soooo detailed and I love it. I’m So gonna subscribe to you❤️
i wouldnt doubt her being the next MC of the franchise, with an arc all of her own. she has everything to be the next lead, an objective, nowhere near strong enough, and a special ability that is unique to herself.
Man I've given up all hope trying to ascertain the true Kingdom Hearts story. Thanks for the videos, I love the games but the convoluted stories make me want to cry.
I have issues with KH MoM, I’m 50/50% about it, I feel like we are in the situation similar to Recoded. We go through old games just to get juicy lore at the very end of the game, sucks that this is only the 3rd game out of 5 or more. I love the story, but couldn’t Nomura just add this to remind, idk man. I’ve already accept it but I’m not surprised since we’ve got 7 games, 3 movie cutscenes, 2 mobile games, and now a Rhythm game. I just hope the next idea isn’t a waste of time but not at the same time since it is important, I just don’t want anymore games that have the player go through old games like how Recoded was ever again but that is just my opinion and everyone has the right to have their each and very own opinion.
@Vipergaming23 Those have to be the worst counter examples😅 Last I remembered, neither of those games emphasized story unlike MoM..they were just rhythm games, nothing more or less than that..& where was it said that I had any expectations? But continue pretending to know it all
nomura literally pushed off the idea of a rhythm game until disney got wind of it and pushed him into making it. they're pretty hungry for that sweet sweet kh revenue
Ya know you're not wrong i like the fact i can go back and listen to every kh soundtrack(disappointed that we don't get the . tracks since some are actually the best versions of the regular ones) and lore but the fact we must go back to every god damn world again and have 80% of the game be recaps of the old games is just mind numbing
I just hope kh4 will still have the three heroes (sora Donald and goofy) adventure the disney worlds again. Kingdom hearts isn’t kingdom hearts without your three lovable trio! Please NOMURA! That’s what got me into this game...
I recommend rewatching Another Side, Another Story secret ending from KH1, it talks about the Third Key and quadratum in that. I still think Kairi is from the other side (fiction); she cant just be an old princess of heart by chance
What if the twist is that KH is the fictional world in this scenario, while Quadratum is the real world? Maybe the reason Sora can't speak is because he's on the other side of the screen...
Damo279!!!! You are the single most epic person after Everglow for obvious reasons. Thank you so much for being in depth and brief at the same time. I appreciate you!!!!
All I could think of when Yen Sid was talking about the ancient masters and traveling to different worlds was how Ven might fit in. If Ven is able to regain some of his past memories from his time as a Dandelion, he might be a huge help. Because unless the Foretellers left clues behind in the destroyed real world, all the Dandelion leaders assumed that they perished in the war, and all the other dandelions lost their memory of said war ever happening.
What if the Kingdom Hearts series for Disney + is the adventure of Riku in Quadratum, but it is Live-Action and the world of fiction is our world? I actually could see something like this...
@@authoreyes101 Well there were at least some rumors three months ago. Although the Investor Day did not reveal anything. So it was only a wild guess. Don't get your hopes up. : I
I would have loved a Kieri perspective game, where we see scenes the tie into KH1 and KH2 to KH3. And can we all agree that Xion is just Sora and Kairi's love child like serious that's how she was born
Lol, Man..the only good explanation i came up with so far on how Sora was able to do what he did an Kh mom is the Paopu Fruit which Kairi an Sora destinies or intertwined they are part of each other's lives now ...🤷🏽♂️
I honestly think that the star that they talked to is actually Ava, the missing Foreteller. One of the reports in Kingdom Hearts 3 implies that Ava was locked away in the experimentation area of Radiant Garden, so it’s possible that when the place was raided by the Heartless, she somehow ended up being sent in Quadratum. She could also be the girl in the Verum Rex because we’ve never seen what she looks like under her hood and mask.
You know what another word for fiction is? Fantasy. Plus the fact that Quadratum = Square, leads me to believe the next game is going to be more focused on Final Fantasy & Square Enix properties insteadof Disney ones. This also opens the door up for other properties too. Things that Disney owns that aren’t Disney properties. We can totally have Star Wars or Marvel or even Fox properties in KH now.
Almost sounds like they want to get out of the Disney and Final Fantasy settings. Can't really think that using these properties is practical or the best way to tell the story anymore.
@@MiloKuroshiro Riku says there can’t be 2 keyblade masters and at that point master meant a keyblade owner as far as we knew. Also, throughout KH1 Sora is referred to as the keyblades chosen one
@@Scrabble12 i heard that was a translation error. Think instead of master it was supposed to say keyblade hero yet even still they meant master over that specific keyblade not master of all keys.
@@Scrabble12 1. that was a localization change. He most likely meant "keyblade wielders" 2. Riku was also a naive 15 year old brat who acted like he knew everything
Funny thing is the KH world that we know is mostlikely the true world of 'unreality.' A world beyond light and darkness is a world not influenced by 'magic.' Which would explain Yozoras fighting tools and explains why the mysterious star is considered 'special.' (Since we saw her use magic in the verum rex trailer.)
@Vipergaming23 lmao she literally transformed into Sora during her big moment and then Riku told her not to come along. Wasn't she supposed to be training so she could fight in KH3? Wonder how that worked out 🤔
@Vipergaming23 i know she didn't literally transform into sora, the point is symbolic. when she needs to fight, she receives aid from Sora and takes on his appearance and moves. Basically, she needs to become a man in order to win the fight. Not everything is literal.
@Vipergaming23 Riku is not a woman, so that wasn't a gender thing. Also, Riku had already been a playable character in two games and had been established as a certified badass. This, however, was Kairi's first time actually having the plot focus on her and she relived Sora's memories, which, fine, I get it's a rhythm game using reused assets. But at least give her something to do during her ONE moment to shine after you got hammered for making Kairi absolutely useless and dependent on Sora in KH3 after she was like, "next time, I'll protect you."
Probably going to sound like other users who mentioned this before but this absolutely confirms that we’re going to see Square Enix (Final Fantasy) worlds instead of and Disney (KH) ones. Immediately when I see the words ‘fantasy’ and ‘reality’, I’m reminded of the words shown in the KH3 D23 trailer and FFXIII Versus reveal. ‘This is a fantasy based on reality’ ‘Don’t assume your dreams are just a fantasy. If you can imagine a world, believe in it... and dive in’ The unreality that Xehanort speaks of is a world of ‘imagination’ = the Final Fantasy universe and its characters. Ansem mentions that their world is ‘reality’. Whether or not this is true, we will see but they could be parallels. This could be a potential nod to how worlds are created (video game wise/programming and also how worlds came to be in the KH universe). I’m getting the idea that someone or something is imagining these worlds and creating their existence. But who?
They just had to make it all so much more damn complicated and complex to the point that trying to understand everything from the beginning will give you a serious migraine.
The last track in the KH3 Re:Mind is an alternate/slower version of Yozora's theme. It is called "Shibuya Scramble." We know that the city Sora and Yozora were fighting in was Shibuya and maybe the word scramble has to do with the two realities mixing.
be so cool for them to find sora but it’s like a dark aqua in the realm of darkness type of moment. just always wanted to see sora take a turn like that since he’s always so upbeat and light hearted

@Hudson Bradford Yeah. Vs XIII looked really cool until Square killed it with the mediocrity of 15, so I'd be very hyped if Verum Rex turned into an actual game for us to play

@@straypaper lol no. Final Fantasy vs. XIII is what FFXV started out as. It was Nomura’s idea and was going to be a spin off of the mainline FF series. Due to its development taking too long, though, Square axed him of the project and turned it into the rushed game that was FFXV

But was taken over by the master of masters by luxu/zigbar putting the master of masters heart in her like xehanort tried to do to sora in in trying to make sora his 13th vessel.
@@damo lmaoo you’re goated bro
The reason Kairi probably ended up on Destiny Islands was because of "Coincidence and fate"
The Coincidence being that Xehanort planned on throwing her into the void to find a keyblade user, and the Fate being that Aqua's spell would lead Kairi to a LIGHT that would protect her.
If so he needs to be broken
@@amberanime this, exactly this is why I hate the youzora stuff, o feel that Nomoura just wants to turn kingdom hearts into Vs 13 2.0...
And I honestly wouldn't mind Vs 13 2.0, if he actually wrapped up kingdom hearts in a satisfying way opposed to trying to shoehorn it into kingdom hearts and having the kingdom hearts cast effectly replaced by the Vs 13 facismiles,
I'm going to put my full opinion on MoM here as it elaborates on my points about the beloved KH chairicters being shafted as you said,
but be warned, this is pretty vicious as this game angered me with it's story, more than KH3 even
My overall thoughts:
I'm glad I brought MoM for the music and not the story, because what little there is is absolutely atroticus and highlights the series's biggest problems in a glaring way, the Kairi shading from Nomoura and the fact Nomoura seemingly just cannot write forwards, at all and develop the personalities of the charicters further, and this enraged me more than the mess that was KH3,
Kairi's treatment is once again disgusting, as while it's true this isn't a Kairi Game, she still gets shafted really hard here, bot only does she lose to Xehanort in the cutscene ((understandable to a degree, and she put up a great fight)) but she is LITERALLY replaced with Sora as she gets up for the final battle and you play the final battle as Sora, robbing Kairi of the chance to show her strengh and face her fears.
As someone else said:
"Killed the bad guys of KH 1 and 2? Better Go back in time and make a bigger bad behind everything"
"Not enough charicters to fit arbitrary number requirements? We'll Go back in time and clone more Xehanorts and Soras,"
"Killed the organisation? Let's Go back in time and make them more relevant and revive them"
"Killed Xehanort? Let's back in time to make a bigger bad who orchestrated Xehanort orchestrating the entire thing"
And not only that, but they threw away several perfect opportunites to actually move forwards with the charicters here and develop their bonds of friendship...
We have light, dark, in between, nothingness, data, dream, unchained, sleeping and now fiction/ unreality))
The team should of put more effort into KH3 and ending the series there with MoM acting as a musical journey to round of the series, they should of just dropped the the fortellers, book of prophecies and MoM and kept them relevant to union X and dark road only. And instead just moved on to the FF Vs 13 2.0 they seem to desperately want to make instead instead of trying to turn kingdom hearts into Vs 13 2.0
And I want to add it's disgusting how they've been baiting us with promises that Kairi will be useful.since KH 2 and then shafting her every single time, and using the same lie to hyper up every new release
Kairi has a keyblade now!
@@amberanime I hope the story becomes memorable and worth the trip no matter the outcome.

I can imagine it to be a twist that it might be the other way around (ie. Matter of perspective)
@Vipergaming23 facts. Can't believe people thought Kairi was going to beat him.
Not beating the Big Bad singlehandedly is expected, but being reduced to the damsel in distress once again is not a gain for her character at all.
@@Celebi50 Well with that logic, how was she supposed to lose to the big bad without ending up as a "damsel in distress"? Losing a fight and needing help doesn't automatically turn you into a damsel in distress.
@Vipergaming23 I mean the fairy godmother kind of made the situation be like he had to go there and then hence why she brought all 3 together.
It's to depressing for words.)

by my speculation this alternate reality is where the MoM runs off to when he "disappears"
The Lost Masters Ira, Aced, Envi, and Gula after the keyblade War were sent to this alternate reality that Sora is currently in as well. Yen sid said the Lost Masters knew about the alternate reality and knew how to go between them.
When Ira said to Luxu "did you summon us back?" Luxu summoned them back from the alternate reality back to the KH one.
Well the Master of Masters was in Shibuya so that is possible.
I just still don't get it though... What was the point of it all for M.O.M .... All these centuries of manipulation better lead up to something worth seeing.

It is frequently used to create the illusion an open sky...”
Sounds like a certain secret boss fight to me...

Could yozura be riku's nobody? We know he became a heartless in a sense with ansem, but never saw his nobody?
@@abidance6444 Maaaaybe? I kinda doubt it though. It sounds like he's from Quadratum, and I'm not sure how Riku's Nobody would make it that far.

@@marcosdheleno I think it's been confirmed that Sora's not in the same Shibuya already though. (In Kingdom Hearts, it's not even called Shibuya, it's called "Quadratum.") So it's likely just Nomura re-using the design so he can get away with putting real life Japan into the game.
@@dailydelphox what if, quadratum isnt the world, but the universe? kingdom hearts is set in the disney(esque) universe, but what if quadratum is the square equivalent? a universe filled with square-based worlds?

Going to be funny if they come out and say "your world(KH) is actually a video game series that somehow gained sentience".
Square Enix: How many games do you want to explain the KH universe?
Nomura: Yes
And each of them drop of quality
I'm just glad the voice actor for Xehanort actually tried to sound a bit more like Nimoy this time.
Unreality? Well. I've been having these weird thoughts lately. Like is any of this REAL or NOT? None of this makes sense to me...Until now.
All about perspective and it’s complex not convoluted
Weren't all ff characters from another world? In kh1 aerith or someone says they followed ansem. Then in other games they are all in radiant garden
so the next one will be primarly squareenix worlds with disney characters sometimes
@@EduardoTorelly How freaking cool would it be if all of Final Fantasy's empires were united by the Galactic Empire?
When you remember that old interview Nomura, before he was taken out of FF Versus XIII, saying how the parallel between Sora and Noctis is important to the story and all, Noctis Caelum meaning Night Sky (as now Yozora also means Night Sky) and how he was planning for KH e Versus XIII to connect in some way, we can see how he planned this move from the start!
The part of the interview at Japan Expo:
Finaland & FFDream: You’ve created a lot of characters for the Final Fantasy series.

While I doubt it'll ever be confirmed, I get the feeling that the Fairy Godmother is secretly part of a pantheon of Disney gods.
Lol I can see this, Yen sid and Merlin too. Keep an eye out for blue wearing magic folks in disney. (pinocchio's blue fairy as well maybe)
@@amberanime Merlin, maybe. The Blue Fairy, definitely. Yensid, he already has a backstory as a retired keyblade master so I doubt it.

Wait, wait, wait! Darkness, Light, Dreams, and Data all make sense now! WOO! What a time to be alive.
The possibilities are endless! So many Final Fantasy Worlds to choose from. Can everyone imagine Sora meeting Tidus in Zanarkand, or maybe going to Spira with him! Bumping into Auron again. I'M SUPER EXCITED!
Can you imagine Sora’s reaction to Tidus & Auron if they meet near the climax of FF10? Just like “Tidus is a dream? So technically not real... And Auron is a Ghost? But then how’d you end up with Hades?”, while pulling Tidus in disbelief and just being like “Actually yeah that makes sense with Auron”
Imagine all the FF charaters from kingdom hearts that dissapeared like Zack Cloud Auron were all in the same world as sora is right now. We would have an endgame lol
Summary: Kairi went into her memories and “discovered” that world between light and darkness existed, a “fictional world” as told by Ansem the Wise.
While Riku was searching for Sora, he had a vision where he saw a city with many skyscrapers. With the knowledge of both Riku and Kairi, the two of them and the godmother travel to the final world.
Which is not to say that we will never see him again. With the story of the Black box i am almost certain that he, or at least his story, will play an important role in KH IV (at least, if they will still call it that)

Some thoughts of mine:
- I know we saw Shibuya and Shinjuku, but perhaps in Verum Rex's world, they're simply merged and recognized as one bigger city called Quadratum.
Lol maybe we'll find Cloud and Sephiroth in the fictional world since we haven't seen them ever since KH2.

Okay okay okay. So if this is the course of the next game, then wouldn’t the bad ending of Sora vs. Yozora be the canon one? If Sora wins he goes back in the final world. When he loses, he gets trapped in that crystal structure, meaning he stays in Quadratum.

Your take is synonymous to pretty much everyone's feelings. This was just another desperate cash grab.
@Vipergaming23 Those have to be the worst counter examples😅
Last I remembered, neither of those games emphasized story unlike MoM..they were just rhythm games, nothing more or less than that..& where was it said that I had any expectations? But continue pretending to know it all
nomura literally pushed off the idea of a rhythm game until disney got wind of it and pushed him into making it. they're pretty hungry for that sweet sweet kh revenue
And I'm ok with that. MoM is just a excuse to have a fun rhythm game, and coded originally was just a fun way to put the franchise on mobile phones.

Riku was already in Quadratum, through his "fictional" and "not real" dream.

@Vipergaming23 lmao she literally transformed into Sora during her big moment and then Riku told her not to come along. Wasn't she supposed to be training so she could fight in KH3? Wonder how that worked out 🤔
@Vipergaming23 Continue assuming that's what I'm referring to
@Vipergaming23 i know she didn't literally transform into sora, the point is symbolic. when she needs to fight, she receives aid from Sora and takes on his appearance and moves.

Why do I have a feeling that Kingdom Hearts 4 is going to get super meta
Because it is.
You’ll be waiting like 20 years for KH4
Probably going to sound like other users who mentioned this before but this absolutely confirms that we’re going to see Square Enix (Final Fantasy) worlds instead of and Disney (KH) ones. Immediately when I see the words ‘fantasy’ and ‘reality’, I’m reminded of the words shown in the KH3 D23 trailer and FFXIII Versus reveal.
‘This is a fantasy based on reality’
‘Don’t assume your dreams are just a fantasy. If you can imagine a world, believe in it... and dive in’
The unreality that Xehanort speaks of is a world of ‘imagination’ = the Final Fantasy universe and its characters.
But who?

The last track in the KH3 Re:Mind is an alternate/slower version of Yozora's theme. It is called "Shibuya Scramble." We know that the city Sora and Yozora were fighting in was Shibuya and maybe the word scramble has to do with the two realities mixing.

My mind melted by the end of MoM, I wonder if "fiction" means other Square properties outside of Kingdom Hearts, since we're seeing Vs 13 & TWEWY referenced.
