    Got to appreciate how accurate the Bastille storming was, down to the fact that there were just about 7 prisoners left by the time it happened. That is, of course, if both the history record and my count of those NPCs in the said section of the game are both correct. Nevertheless, it's a very neat alignment with the history book.

    Fun fact, the Borgia family still exist to this day, and through out history they have always had influence in Italy, they have had many positions of power both within the church and within politics, several Borgias became high priests, political statesmen, ministers, prime-ministers, if i remember correct there was even 1 or 2 other borgias who became pope after Alexander the 6th.

    Origins had one of the best historical storytelling of all time.
    I mean... It showed you the full of Egypt to the actual murders of Pompey by Ptolemy like an idiot, Caesar flying into a rage hearing that news, Cleopatra meeting Caesar in a rag with the assist of Amunet and Bayek, Ptolemy raging at Caesar for even allying with Cleopatra, the Siege of Alexandria, death of Ptolemy, the visit and ambition declaring of Caesar in Alexander's tomb and the Eids of March.
    No other series did portray the whole historical accuracy of the whole event as well as Origins. ACIII tried but it's at best second fiddle to Origins and that's why, despite what people said, Origins will be the best in terms of storytelling and historically accurate to me.

      There's never a right or wrong side in war. There are no heroes and villains when it comes to war. When it comes to war, there are no heroes or villains until it's over and historians write it down. History is written by the victor. That is why you consider the 7 Years War won by "The Villains" because the way you were taught, or the way you look at it, is that they were bad because of their actions later on.

      @vailingbow1068 A group that strides in wanting powerful ancient artifacts to control the world and its populace aren't the "good guys." They were the "good guys" in Rogue because, in comparison, the colonial assassins were monsters (before Connor of course.) That's not to say the assassins were entirely good either. They wanted complete freedom for everyone which could lead to anarchy and chaos. That's why there needs to be a balance between free choice and control but where does the line blur?

    • @vailingbow1068
      @vailingbow1068 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@SmokeyGames420 Yeah, wanting complete control ofc isn't something good and wanting complete freedom isn't good either, but they could diversify the Templars a bit. Like in Unity. There was a real shot at a alliance between Templars and Assassins but Bellec fucked it up. Elise up and died too and Arno killed Elise's supporters. Germain was lowkey so smart. He tricked Arno into thinking he's just a blacksmith and got him to get rid of his opposition.

I know the Fuedal Japan AC game is gonna be great, though i still give Ubisoft credit for making nice detailed open worlds, and hopefully AC Codename Red will have more "Verticality", this is so important to me when exploring game worlds and games like Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint, Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, Hogwarts Legacy, and dare I say it... even Forspoken and Elex 2 all those games world designs really gave you that "sense of scale" by not just a large flat map to traverse but "more Verticality" in their environmental designs.

    You need to read up on thermopylae more. Yes there was a few thousands other Greeks there. But when Leonidas realized the persians had discovered the goat path he knew they would all die regardless of numbers. So he sent the other armies of greece home so that they may live, and he and his 300 spartans stayed behind to delay the persians as long as possible. They all faught to the last man.
    This is one of the earliest well recorded event thanks to horodutus. Who wealso see in game.

    actually there were only 300 Spartans at the battle of Thermopylae although initially there were a couple thousand soldiers made up of other greeks who defended against between 10,000 to 20,000 Persians however on the third day when the greeks were betrayed, Leonidas sent them in retreat staying with his 300 Spartans to cover their escape against the rest of Xerxes army(120,000-300,000) and buy the rest of greece time.
