  • If you’ve been watching me for a while, you’d know I recently replayed all the Assassin’s Creed games, and having replayed those games, this experience got me thinking about which of these games is the most replayable. The straight forward answer I can give is honestly your preference, and your preference alone, which is exactly what this video is.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

The legit only reason I think maybe it’s not is the sheer amount of fucking tailing missions. That’s easily the worst thing in the game and makes me go I’m not sure whereas without em I’d be like by far black flag

Any time I want to roll up a new playthrough of Black Flag, I end up stopping after a while due to the sheer number of tailing missions. Assassin's Creed II is the most replayable for me. I've finished it before and then immediately started a new game. Also, it's pretty easy to get the Codex Pages as long as you get them as the story progresses. Make sure to synchronize all of the viewpoints to clear up the map and you will not miss them. The real pain is getting all of the feathers. Lol

  • @BenChurchill76

For me, it's AC Odyssey. I can't fully explain why, but it's become my "comfort game". I can replay the game over and over and still find stuff to do. There is just so much about it that keeps me coming back to it. I do think part of it is the amount of choice (even if it ultimately doesn't matter). I can do subtle things to make each play different, or different enough, to not make it boring.
Also, I still cannot fathom why AC Valhalla didn't get a NG+. I don't understand why it couldn't have. Even Mirage got one. I might replay Valhalla if there was the option, but I'm not about to go back and start from the beginning again.

The mercenary system also adds replay value to Odyssey because being randomly generated for the most part you’re not facing the same line up of enemies who are out to kill you, and they can appear all over the map. Add in the option to kill sponsors of these mercenaries and you have an ongoing randomised experience that happens across the whole game.

This list is probably so close to mine, I’m so surprised. I swear I thought I was the only one who liked playing through AC3, and have replayed it multiple times. AC Odyssey is a no brainer too with its multiple endings and choices and builds. AC Brotherhood is a classic AC experience where combat and stealth are fun, along with the old parkour system. It’s also not that long. And then AC Mirage has replay ability in mind, with the permadeath mode and new game plus, it’s so great. And then Unity being just behind those games, the stealth and parkour are always fun, but some Unity jank can easily just ruin the vibe, but when you’re in a flow it’s great.

@TheHiddenOne690 You could potentially play 10 seconds of the most memorable/recognizable parts of the songs at the end of the review of each theme song, or let it play in the background as you give the review. That way, you could potentially avoid the copyright issue with the ranking too, since you're talking over the music and you don't extend the use of the song.

Story doesn’t drag on and doesn’t feel bloated.
The game lets you do most things around sequence 4, which is pretty fast for the franchise
    Has my favorite protagonist
And has the best Portuguese dub in the AC franchise, so its a win for me.

It depends on NG+ for me. If I have to start a new game after finishing it once, then I'll have to spend more time doing the stuff that really isn't interesting. This makes it harder if it becomes a matter of finances which the center games perfected as side activities. With NG+ I'm free to ignore anything besides main story as crafting/upgrading/searching/farming/traveling takes a back seat to what I want to do. The first time 'I played it' is over. One never recaptures that, but we can better navigate the experience to our liking.

Haven't watched the video yet, just wanted to share my thoughts before doing it.
For me Odyssey is the most replayable, It has the best mastery system out of the 3 RPG games, Origins and Valhalla are just vague damage increases (Valhalla's isn't even noticeable imo) while Odyssey has a very deep system that let's you improved specific aspects, combined with NG+ and the option to make different choices or play as the other character, means there's something new to try out. I'm on my second NG+ restart (3rd playthrough) and it keeps getting better every time.
Out of the old ones, I'd say ACII, that game is always enjoyable to play again no matter how much time has passed.
The worst replayable one (for me) is definitely AC3, why? Because I don't like having to clear the map again having to walk through every inch of it to clear the fog, played it twice on the normal version and the remaster and as a completionist, I don't want to do it again, it's a great game but imo best played just once.

I always could enter one of the old game saves to play it.
As I mentioned in another community contribution for me AC 4 is the most replayable. I don't actually know why, I have 160hrs there for a game, which is not that long. Probably because it was my first AC

I think I’ve played every AC game twice even Valhalla. Personally I’d give it to Black Flag. It may feel grindy for some people to upgrade the ship but I always have fun doing and playing through the story. If I were to say my favorite game to platinum, it’s AC Brotherhood. The story, historical and modern day, are just so good.

I did disagree with a lot of choices, A lot of my disagreements come from personal preferences, but one I feel strongly deserves to be longer besides personal preference because I love this game is AC Unity. AC Unity I think would be one of the most replayable games if you didn't have to select the mission one by one or delete your whole game and start it before it redownloads, or create a new account. That AC Unity just wasn't built very user friendly when it comes to replaying it. I personally enjoy doing fresh replays, so I always delete it to replay which at this point is hard to do because now I might never be able to get some armor pieces because they're locked behind not very popular co op mission which are too hard to do alone and you can't get hardly anyone to rejoin you. I do think the side missions, and the main story black box missions are big pluses. But not having multiple save files like most AC games was a huge mistake. That while I love replaying this game in my opinion it's still on the lower half just because it's not very user friendly to replay. That instead of replaying the game they make it much easier to just replay your favorite missions. So I'd put it more in the bottom half, but not at the bottom personally.
I do agree with AC 3 being so high up because that's personal most replayed game. A big part is Desmond Missions and learning more about ISU. Along with I did really enjoy Connor and Haytham, and the fighting visuals in this game. Along with I did really enjoy Connor and Haytham, and the fighting visuals in this game. It's also just a conclusion of a storyline, before a new era which I think helps it's position.

All of em are replayable if there were mods to skips the tutorials and annoying cutscenes. The only thing i dont like about the older games before ac3 are the non existent side missions. For me i would say syndicate/unity is the most replayable one with better side missions , better gameplay and no tideous monologues. But i guess mirage would be my number one once i finally buy it. Only Odyssey in the RPGS is the one ill play every once in a while.

I think there are 3 things that make a game replayable. 1st one is a sh!t load of content which we get in RPG games. 2nd is some system or mechanic in the game to master (in this case stealth and parkour). And the 3rd would be just having a fun experience. Based on this you can pretty much decide which one is worth replaying
