It really does feel like there should be a checkpoint before this room. Most other missions in the game would have put one there. I can only dream I'll ever get the combat log AND beat the AA22.
2 days and counting spent on that PCA Warrant Officer asshat. Balteus and that giant spider boss didn't give me a hard time, but this one is seriously making me rage.
Whoever it was that decided not having a checkpoint after the two LCs needs to be beaten with a stick. It's ridiculous that you effectively have to change your entire loadout to beat one guy that's not effective against everything that comes before him. I've put up with some challenging sections, but this is legitimately busted. Can it be beaten, sure. Will I? Eventually, but that doesn't mean it's not BS.
@bispeskov1123 I have every piece of gear it's possible to buy. I have to pass this mission to unlock more of them. Build options isn't the issue. Him one-shot stunning and then murdering you is. I have come close to getting him, but breaking him AND capitalizing on it is the hard part. A build meant for that isn't very good for the mechs leading up to him.
ok so im not just obscenely bad at this game and based on the comments many others struggled with this side quest boss too right?? lmao. this guy was harder than spider boss and the PCA captain+lieutenant boss.
I haven't rage quit in quite a while. But man did I lose my shit after trying this mission multiple times. My wife was unfortunate enough to be in the room at the time, and got a complete rundown about how cheap From can be. At least you showed me it's possible, I'll give it another go after I've cooled off...
Closest ive gotten was with a high speed aglilty build with a shot gun, charging rifle, a song bird and vertical missle launcher wouldnt be so bad if there was a single check ooint right before the end
Two of those big ass double nade launchers on my shoulders. Heavy legs but not treads. Highest damage bazooka available in righ hand. Starter pulse blade in my left. Spam him tf down. Dont let him breathe at all. Just boom boom slash boom boom slash. Took me 2 tries with this set up
I swear, what makes this mission hard is the lack of a checkpoint and/or resupply. The two LCs were mini bosses themselves and to face another boss right after them is just frustrating.
Only got through this one because the boss got locked in a corner, still only won with 1 AP left - this one reminds me of the infamous Dark Souls 2 run backs
Can also just do dual zimmers since they're incredibly broken. I only busted them out for this mission because I wanted the log as well. Took a couple of tries, but see how much health you have after the LCs, then do the log ac. If you took a lot of hits with the LCs just go to the warrant officer for practice for a better run.
Yeah you know what? Ring freddy can have that battle log. I'll come back with... I *hope* stronger endgame stuff that makes a better difference than a Gatling tank build.
When in doubt, dual Zimmerman (uncreative, I know). I put it on a mobile biped and used the shotguns to break poise, then hit with pile bunker and a grenade launcher. This stagger to pile bunker combo also makes quick work of the 2 LCs.
I f***** his @$$ up with dual gatlings and dual songbirds. Didn't even have tank treads. I just went heads up with him at super close range with both gatlings until i staggered him, then unleashed both songbirds, then more gatling to drain most of his life. Rinse and repeat. Make sure to reach him with 3 repair kits. Take out the beginning enemies with only songbirds. On the other two ACs, stagger them with gatlings and then songbirds. It's pretty easy after that. Just try to conserve most of your gatling ammo as you can until the boss. It just sucks that you always have to revert to the power build to take down bosses😢
One of my absolute favourite mission so far. Took me like 3 hours cause i wanted the battlelog as well, so it was absolutely brutal. Having to defeat "Ring Freddie" with his stupid wheelchair tank treads, clear all the enemies, and manage to save all your repair kit for the final boss was something. Holy shit was that mission hard ! But i absolutely loved it. I can't even begin to imagine how i'm going to S rank that. Hopefully the battlelog miniboss isn't needed to S rank it. Can't wait though.
I used two plasma launchers and songbirds and it worked on the boss. The problem is the two flying ACs before the entrance. The plasma launchers are not that good against them so you need to rely on both shoulder weapons.
From Soft. I would question the studio if I didnt die alot on a random boss and take days to beat just 1 boss. Its literally how you know this is a from software game. Cant wait for shadow of erdtree
Hml missle launcher, HI pulse gun fucked up his shield, both shouldered laser cannons. Got him first attempt with this build. Also ...the two acs before you enter the bulding.....go off the cliff to the right of the door .. easier to fight them there. I did not get the log though. But i did find out if you hug the far right wall you get get the log then hurry back to the mission and freddie wont chase you lol.
@@danigaminggt Well, I beat him with a completely different build with about the remaining health and repair kits as in the video, but since I'm trying to do the battle log for this and I have to fight Ring Freddy directly before this, I was looking for a more in depth explanation on the fight.
Update: Beat him with dual Harris Linear Rifles + Vertical Missile Launcher + Assault Armor. The room is small so be careful while you're in front of him because he will attempt to shield bash and unleash a huge combo. Also beware of his high damaging laser attacks. You can boost around and through his missiles, but be very aware of the positioning. Try to deal with the fodder quickly and then deal with the PCA Warrant Officer If you're doing the Battle log version, Ring Freddy will spam missile attacks and strafe most of the time. Freddy has a pulse shield and his repair kits make him annoying to deal with, but if you can stagger him you can unleash huge damage that can finish the fight quickly. Just try not to get caught in the AOE of his explosion spam. That was my focus during the fight. The other enemies in the level are easy to deal with but have high damaging attacks so try to get through it with minimal health loss because the PCA Warrant Officer has a lot of attacks that are difficult to avoid in that small space and the damage adds up. If you reach your limit and get stunned, you are going to have a bad time. Hope this helps. Good hunting fellow Ravens.
@@E1_DE3thanks man, I've stucked in this mission for hours trying to get the log, this is harder than any boss battles before it, hope I'll win. Edit: I did it, thank you so much
Best tip is to get behind him. He will do a Shield Bash and then a slash, dodge to his left and hit some, then dodge the slash to the left again, try to stun here. Then unload. Key is to stay behind him.
i keep seeing this "tip". he just turns toward you immediately. it's not like he's a building or something that you can run behind. do you have video of this?

Didn't expect to struggle so much on some random boss unit. So incredibly annoying of a fight. Did this tank loadout and was able to pull it off.
