Yeah, there are feints, animation cancels, fakeouts, whiffs and clutch moments. Fighting game techniques can work here if you remember to also take into account of the maneuvers on a 3D plane.
Same here, my main concern was about the smaller enemies meaning the main enjoyment of the game comes solely from bosses to the point where the lead up would t be that enjoyable. The other is how I feel like the reliance on switching up parts to beat a boss feels more like you are choosing the parts that were designed to win, less about me actually beating the boss solely due to my own decisionmaking

Mechassault 2 was best Mechassault. You still have the MechWarrior games and 6 officially unofficially was announced. I think after 6 the license goes back to Microsoft. That would be the only hope we could have of a Mechassault 3.
The simple addition of the "Contextual Help" button. should make this game of the year on its own. every game should adopt this. This needs to be industry standard shit right here. The whole game is great, BUT THAT BUTTON IS A GAME CHANGER! You look at a generator and wonder, "What does {energy weapon spec} actually do? is it just more dmg?" Turns out, it also heavily affects charge speed! It even clarifies that it doesn't apply to plasma missiles because they don't charge. Now thats good shit right there! 9.8/10 User Interface (and thats just because i dont believe in perfect scores!)
What an unbelievably good game this is. The movement and the flow is some of the smoothest ive ever played. Gameplay is so good that i dont even pay attention to the story anymore. I hope this game finally gets the recognition it deserves.

This game reminds me of a more hardcore version of ratchet and clank. As a vet, its different from what I'm expecting mainly because of how the game seems dead set on forcing me on close quarters encounters when I play most AC games from afar.
this game is all i wanted for about 10 years since GunZ the Duel died, insanely fast, impressive, very fast in response movement that just feels so real and versatile... just like in GunZ, which i loved for years when i played and dedicated myself to be one of the best in european scene... brings back that old struggle i was so addicted to, and obviously, overcomming this challange, whatever fromsoft cooked for me, ill take it without questions i dont care how this game looks if its fast, unforgiving, action packed mech game with dashing, bouncing, flying over, swooping, slashing, sniping, bombaring and blasting with rocket missless - im fucking sold on day one
Having a lot of fun with the game, but yes my only kinda complaint would be the world design. I don't need hyper realistic graphics, the graphical fidelity present is fine, but after a while I felt the game lost my interest visually. Im not an AC player, this is my first one, so I realize that may be a hallmark of the series and something longtime fans appreciate.
Lol, you have options on how many mech designs you can save. Me loving my 1 design and only changing weapons based if I'm inside or outside for a mission
I had to get it refunded. The game itself is AMAZING. There is nothing wrong with it at all. I was so hyped up for it since I loved armored core 5. I’m just absolutely terrible at it. I hit a wall with Balteus and it gets me way too frustrated and angry. I’ve attempted changing my build a few times but I don’t think it matters when I’m really bad at the game. If it had co op, I would enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Elden Ring. Despite loving Armored Core 5, maybe this is just not for me. 😥

You have done a superb gameplay video here. Mind if I
share it in a Gaming leaderboards discord I created with some friends?
this game is all i wanted for about 10 years since GunZ the Duel died, insanely fast, impressive, very fast in response movement that just feels so real and versatile... just like in GunZ, which i loved for years when i played and dedicated myself to be one of the best in european scene... brings back that old struggle i was so addicted to, and obviously, overcomming this challange, whatever fromsoft cooked for me, ill take it without questions i dont care how this game looks if its fast, unforgiving, action packed mech game with dashing, bouncing, flying over, swooping, slashing, sniping, bombaring and blasting with rocket missless - im fucking sold on day one
Wall running dungeon crawler shooter. Was great too bad about the sequel being an entirely different genera of game.
Another good one was xteel.
Can we appreciate how they tried their best to make this amazing video for us 💖💖💖
Having a lot of fun with the game, but yes my only kinda complaint would be the world design. I don't need hyper realistic graphics, the graphical fidelity present is fine, but after a while I felt the game lost my interest visually. Im not an AC player, this is my first one, so I realize that may be a hallmark of the series and something longtime fans appreciate.
About half way thru. Gotta say it’s a contender for Goty
I just live giant mechs and used to love gundam as a child. This shit is like a drean
AC 6 has me feeling like a kid again
Lol, you have options on how many mech designs you can save. Me loving my 1 design and only changing weapons based if I'm inside or outside for a mission
Thats funny I have easily 35 builds saved and categorized by leg type, labeled and all that😂
Love the videos
I had to get it refunded. The game itself is AMAZING. There is nothing wrong with it at all. I was so hyped up for it since I loved armored core 5. I’m just absolutely terrible at it. I hit a wall with Balteus and it gets me way too frustrated and angry. I’ve attempted changing my build a few times but I don’t think it matters when I’m really bad at the game. If it had co op, I would enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Elden Ring. Despite loving Armored Core 5, maybe this is just not for me. 😥
You're on Balteus already? Whoa.
Fast 🫡
To be fair that balteus fight was a bullshit difficulty spike. Many players struggled vs it, veterans and newbies alike.
bubble gun and melee weapons. keep up the pressure. try to get ABOVE him in phase 2 to avoid all the flame stuff. I had to take a break and come back.
Excellent review!
💥💥 This seemed like a old school game review from back in the day when game review channels used to be good like IGN GameSpot etc did you used to work for IGN?
Amazing review 👏
Glad you liked it

👍😁👍
I'm really thinking about this one
As a newcomer, this game was pretty damn dope. 😎👍🏻
I’ve got like 8 days to platinum this game before BG3 drops for ps5.
dont rush your armored core adventure mate its a disgrace to this amazing title 😛
I’m loving it so far
This dude is telling us the entire game step by step. This more of a strategy guide than a review.
Feel it the same I cut the video immediately
Nerf bolteaus. Cant beat him and i own everything availbe from the shop. A rank that stupid wall mission easy. Cant beat bolteaus... i havent been thia discouraged since my ex wife threw out suikoden 2 new in packaging
You say it’s a must play yet some many have and can’t beat the tutorial and that’s pitiful to me that they can’t cause the tutorial boss in wo long was difficult to beat this game had pretty easy bosses especially if you know what parts to use for which boss ain’t difficult they just have a skill issue imo 😂 this is the only review I got for it
I don’t understand the graphics gripe. The game looks great, just what you’d expect from a mech game.
Can't wait
I'd love someone to make a game that works like Elden Ring or Monster Hunter you're just building a mech to do it
Brutally honest review?
0/10
No Zweihander
No Uchigatana
No Rivers of Blood
No Mask of the Father
No feet
Since I'm not getting titanfall 3 anytime soon. I may need to get this to fill my mech suit itch.
