When you’re looking to build an AC, the first place to start is the legs; they’re Armored Core’s parallel to classes in an RPG. Each leg type has a different specialization (reverse-joints can jump and dodge well, quad-legs can hover and handle heavy weapons pretty well, tanks can carry the most and can shoot heavy weapons while moving) and a maximum weight limit which ultimately determines how much firepower you can carry.

When I tried to replay the first mission (fat helicopter) I couldn't play with my own AC only the specific ready-made AC we play with at the beginning of the game. So when repeating a mission we can repeat it, but only with the AC we first completed it with? Please help me with this conundrum. I don't know why this is happening or if I am doing something wrong.
It's only the first mission. That one can only be done with that starting mech. Every other mission can be replayed with whatever mech you can build for it. There may be one exception, I'll have to double check. One other mission had a fixed mech loadout.
One tip, unlock thr kicking ability with the OST chips. Its a fantastic way to save on ammo and stagger enemies. A kick with almost always 1 hit kill most enemies.
One of the very first things they tell you in the Tutorial Sims is that keeping Boost On makes you a harder target to hit. Saying "Always Be Dashing", is likely to confuse people who think you mean Boosting Vs. QUICK Boosting, the latter of which is usually referred to as a Dash.
About tip 7, you can use healing items and get a S rank, is just that you cabt take to much damege, some stages like the sea spider you can use 2 and gt S rank but some like the one whit the invisible mech about 4k damage you not let you get rank S
This is the third "Tipps" video I watch for AC. In every video one of the advices is, not to forget about your shoulder weapons. No one can tell me that there are really people that forget that they have MASSIVE missile launchers on their shoulders. I dont know who mentioned that first but I have a feeling this is just a cooy/paste tipp.
#1 learned from Vati, replay the rookie pilot. You get potentially 95k cash and best of all you can practice on a simpler quick match. All in all good list
Umm this is the 2nd time ive heard shade thrown at the bazooka. Which is like my favorite weapon. Yes the sheild blocks the Zooka dmg but it also destroys the sheild. So instead of risky Melee. One zooka shot is an easy way to nullify the Sheild then burst dmg ftw. Thats a Plus not a Minus i feel.
It's worth remembering that often you can maneuver around a shield as well, shields only protect in the direction they cover. Heck, if you have manual aim, shooting besides or behind an enemy can hurt them around the shield as well. (Except pulse fields since those are omnidirectional.) Fun fact: a projectile that explodes on hit will not explode if blocked by one of the back mounted shields, meaning it only deals its impact damage/effects (and your mitigating that too.) This applies in both directions of course, Baltaeus's grenade launcher directly hitting me when I have my shield up did 900 damage, but on a miss the blast would take off a few thousand.

If the game was truly balanced and made sense then there was never any need for an adaptability stat, but here we are learning from mistakes and trying to move forward. The next thing fromsoft needs to do is stop listening to complainers going on the internet to ask for things to be nerfed.
I gotta say, budgeting isn’t that big of an issue. Maybe, just MAYBE early game. But the Juggernaut boss is so easy and the money you get is great. I refused to sell, cuz I want everything. So I’d replay that boss to get what I want.
I love every fromsoft game outside if the obscure ones but i'd literally vomit if there's another action rpg this year that isnt bloodborne. It's always a good year to have sekiro and ac6 in between the usual souls stuff.
I'm about 4 hours into the game. Whats frustrating me the most is that I can't mirror my control set up that I used in Armored Core 4 Answer. Because this game allows all 4 weapons to be used at the same time, the normal button configuration I liked back then won't work here. My mind wants to play the game the same way I played 4 Answer, but I just cannot mirror it enough. So in many ways, I feel like a newbie to the franchise like many others are. The reload mechanic is new as well so again, my usual play style isn't working the same as it did before. Looks like I won't be able to get away with rocking double grenade launchers anymore.... They are just too slow in this game.
You can get away with it in a lot of fights, there are a number of things that leave an enemy vulnerable. AC's doing melee attacks or charged shots have a moment in which they can't react, letting you jam a grenade or melee strike down their throat without issue. What that setup is likely to have issue with is going to be lots of little targets. Multi-lock missiles (Such as the starting missile launcher.) tend to deal well with that kind of target rich environment. (Also remember that a ground impact from above can delete a multitude of targets in one go, especially unaware ones.) One thing to consider is that while Grenade launchers hit quite hard, thus far I've not seen one with a great multiplier on stunned targets. If your not taking a shield, a back rack with your starting energy blade or other melee tool can get great value out of those stunned targets. (It takes work, but the pile bunker's charged hits are appropriately obscene and it has a solid multiplier on staggered targets.)
So you really don't need to sell because you can replay missions. So you can grind for a little. Buy some new parts and then test them out on replay missions. Just continue the cycle. So missions you can just blitz through
Allot of these things the game actually tells brah or u learn just by playing (common sense)!! Most important thing u left off the list is too make multiple builds, to save them separately n only sell parts that u r not using in other builds!!! This comes in handy when struggling against a boss as it allows you (after u die) to swap out parts(only ones u own) and best of all swap our your ac completely in order to adapt to a boss. U can go from your strider build(lightweight quick) to a literal tank build or any other build u uave saved to fit the situation. If u dont do this n u dont have the proper parts then u have to reset go bl to garage build n DO THE WHOLE MISSION OVER!!! You can make yhese builds as long as u have the parts from the assemble tab but saving them is so much quicker. I have 4 saved 1 for each oeg type. I can switch in seconds n only worry about swapping weapons if i uave too!!! Point is SAVE MULTIPLE BUILDS!!!!!💯💯💯
it doesnt tell you anything you actually need to know to succeed at all in the game. it will be literally impossible without a load of information the game will never even hint at.
Your bazooka tip is trash, dual grenades or bazooksa are a viable shield-breaker (Assuming we're not talking the bucklers here which will just crumple.) that will take almost all shields in the game down to 20%, possibly lower. There's one exception I've found on the Liberator route but that's a tankier boss version. Also tanking damage is an ENTIRELY viable solution to many bosses and is the reason heavy-class parts even exist. Also also big sword swings do a lot of attitude damage, what are you guys smoking?! The first thing you get taught by the game is that it will deal massive stability damage.
Dont build on aesthetics. Unkess you're extrnely comfortable and competent with the gameplay and the combat, chasing performance is far better than chasing fashion.
Who ever was playing for the footage, please please tell me you got better or learned to listen to voice lines. you used 2 repair kits on destroy the artillery 💀 also don't spam dodge. dodge window is tight but once they lock the animation in place you dodge and as long as your QB thrust is enough you're free. dodging like that is draining your energy and that habit is going to get you eaten up by the executioner
Practice! It's alright to die trying to figure out how the boss works. Use your hard lock. He's the only one in the arena. Use your weapons as much as you can and get below him. As soon as you can boost up and get close to swipe your sword. Then just bounce from building to building for cover while you reload and recharge the sword. Repeat until dead.
the things I wish I had known are: 1. that boss battles are MUCH easier if you slow down a little. they feel frantic, but sometimes it is better to take your time with smooth motion and well timed dashing rather than dodging all over the place to avoid EVERY missile 2. spending time in the air is important. it is easy to forget and find yourself glued to the ground. 3. unlock weapon bays immediately. It is SO critical that I genuinely think it shouldn't be a separate unlock and should be available from the start by default 4. ALL weapons have a use. even "weak" ones that don't fit your playstyle can sometimes be the thing that turns a seemingly impossible boss battle around for you 5. you can replay missions for full cash rewards. "attack the dam complex" can be finished in under 2 minutes and will get you between 130,000 and 180,000, so you can easily grind out a whole build in under an hour.
All this game really is is Souls with a mech paintjob. Being a veteran player since the first one, it doesn't feel like an AC game outside of AC builds. Basic missions feel like shooting cardboard cutouts but the bosses feel like YOU are the cutout. Definitely BS since the other ones you can actually be stellar regardless of your play style (Might be good tanky but suck with zippy style). This one you HAVE to damn near need ESP to know what to build for the mission since some are impossible with some builds.

> can't use healing items if you want to get S rank FALSE! I used a repair kit in mission 1 to top off my health, and I got S rank. The point is to conserve ammo and minimize damage taken. Even though I used the repair kit, I didn't need to. But the mere fact that I used it did not stop me from getting S rank. Noob.

It does more damage based on AC weight too.
You can get s rank after using healing. I have done it about 4 times. speed and not taking 85% of your ap in total damage, is how you get s rank.
Mobility is paramount.
I wish you can equip 2 melee weapons, I wanna cosplay as a zealot
About tip 7, you can use healing items and get a S rank, is just that you cabt take to much damege, some stages like the sea spider you can use 2 and gt S rank but some like the one whit the invisible mech about 4k damage you not let you get rank S
2:00 But... but, bazooka go boom, though!
I went from blade to zook to.....shotty?
Idk it's super fun to use the shotgun.
Or a good old boost kick will usually either overload the stagger bar or get it real close
This game plays great with the DualSense Edge. Puts you in total control of your Mech 😁
What’s your settings? Well I got my back pads as l1 and r1
@@thegoat4314 yes same here lol
@@thegoat4314boost dash and jump, as someone who play apex legend L1/2 and R1/2 is already in my muscle memory as offensive action so the back button for movement, i keep my thumb on aim and move without move it out while jump and boost
@@thegoat4314that's a waste kinda, use em for things you need to move ur thumb for, like the xo∆# buttons
It's just a controller dude it doesn't make that big of a difference but keep telling yourself that whatever helps you feel like you're smart
S-ranks you can absolutely use heals, you can't use checkpoints.
Can we do AC boxing? Everyone drops they weapons and punch it out😂
I suspect people will do multiplayer matches themed on that, though watch out for boost kicks. Were mixed martial arts mecha now.
@@Sorain1 Great, as well as Lordran, Drangleic, and Lothric, we can now count boxing as being the national sport of Rubicon.
Can we get a new Chromehounds game?
Ask SAGA. God I wish they'd make a sequel!
Second this, chromehounds was a masterpiece
If the game was truly balanced and made sense then there was never any need for an adaptability stat, but here we are learning from mistakes and trying to move forward. The next thing fromsoft needs to do is stop listening to complainers going on the internet to ask for things to be nerfed.
I really wish they implemented a battlefield environment damage. Taking a building down while crashing into them 😍😍
I gotta say, budgeting isn’t that big of an issue. Maybe, just MAYBE early game. But the Juggernaut boss is so easy and the money you get is great. I refused to sell, cuz I want everything. So I’d replay that boss to get what I want.
Number 12 is kinda redundant, you can replay missions and farm them for money if you need it. The Wall Climber is an ez farm for solid cash.
I love every fromsoft game outside if the obscure ones but i'd literally vomit if there's another action rpg this year that isnt bloodborne. It's always a good year to have sekiro and ac6 in between the usual souls stuff.
Anyone know how to revert back paint to default color?
You can't save over original paint schemes so it should be available.
I'm smoking that fires of Ibis Rubiconian liberation front Coral Kush
So you really don't need to sell because you can replay missions. So you can grind for a little. Buy some new parts and then test them out on replay missions. Just continue the cycle. So missions you can just blitz through
Really hope they add Coop missions
super useful info!
This game could be GOTY if it added battleground style pvp as well (TDM,FFA,CTF,DOM, ETC..)
I tend to like the 'Walter' Frame
it doesnt tell you anything you actually need to know to succeed at all in the game. it will be literally impossible without a load of information the game will never even hint at.
GREAT VIDEO THANKS !
Titanfall was my favorite mech game. And I just bought ac 6 about to try it out : )
This is the best AC game since AC3!!
"things the game dose not tell you" List off many things the game dose tell you.
Dont build on aesthetics. Unkess you're extrnely comfortable and competent with the gameplay and the combat, chasing performance is far better than chasing fashion.
Bazooka aren't negated because of explosion damage
This only other limit is left side exclusive gear
I've found if light weight fails. Break out the heavy unadulterated raw for power XD that's fails, break out the lightweight XD
We got Armored Core 6 before GTA 6... And I have no complaints \m/ 😁 \m/
My AC6 game process not saving. What the hell is going on
Who ever was playing for the footage, please please tell me you got better or learned to listen to voice lines. you used 2 repair kits on destroy the artillery 💀
also don't spam dodge. dodge window is tight but once they lock the animation in place you dodge and as long as your QB thrust is enough you're free. dodging like that is draining your energy and that habit is going to get you eaten up by the executioner
A strong GOTY contender!
A better title for this video would be "15 things Armored Core does tell you or is easily inferred by anyone 4 years old or older"
budget can be ignored if you try to s rank missions.
stop contradicting yourself
Ok, the first thing they don't tell you is before you can even access the tutorials, one must beat the first(helicopter) boss.
Sounds easy right? Not
Nah it's easy. I'm mediocre and did it second try. You need to get under it and use your sword. Goes down like paper then.
@@RandoLePersonPrecisely.
Here comes the souls players my man, get ready for a it's easy and git gud
Just hide behind the buildings, fly and hit with sword. Rinse and repeat. This boss was super easy 😊
Just replay combat evaluation missions to get more money fast.
This game is the tits! I cant stop thinking about it!
This vid is a time vampire
Sooooo…my game is not autosaving on PS5.
the things I wish I had known are:
1. that boss battles are MUCH easier if you slow down a little. they feel frantic, but sometimes it is better to take your time with smooth motion and well timed dashing rather than dodging all over the place to avoid EVERY missile
2. spending time in the air is important. it is easy to forget and find yourself glued to the ground.
3. unlock weapon bays immediately. It is SO critical that I genuinely think it shouldn't be a separate unlock and should be available from the start by default
4. ALL weapons have a use. even "weak" ones that don't fit your playstyle can sometimes be the thing that turns a seemingly impossible boss battle around for you
5. you can replay missions for full cash rewards. "attack the dam complex" can be finished in under 2 minutes and will get you between 130,000 and 180,000, so you can easily grind out a whole build in under an hour.
Good tips but the game actually tells you that stuff ...
One thing it does tell you, “Git Gud”
Game is amazing
Also, when you’re looking at your boosters, if they’re orange or red, then they’re overloaded if their blues in there within the optimal weight
booster color is affected by generator manufacturer. Arquebus is blue, Balam is fire-orange, and RRI (coral) is coral red.
Needs time stamps.
they literally tell you all of this ...??
If its too hard, a good tip upgrading your AC is hold Ctrl + Alt and press F4
No Coop no buy toooooooo sad😓😓😓😓😓🙁
Just 15?
All praise the FromSoftware #1
This is all unhelpful and common sense stuff. What a waste of time.
Altitude*
All this game really is is Souls with a mech paintjob.
Being a veteran player since the first one, it doesn't feel like an AC game outside of AC builds.
Basic missions feel like shooting cardboard cutouts but the bosses feel like YOU are the cutout. Definitely BS since the other ones you can actually be stellar regardless of your play style (Might be good tanky but suck with zippy style). This one you HAVE to damn near need ESP to know what to build for the mission since some are impossible with some builds.
Pfft
Ive never played yhese games before, and thanks to how shite this game is... i never will again! I nearly trashed my series x because of this second hand piss poor ejaculate. Platinum games did this an thousand times better with "vanquish" AND THAT WAS A PS3 GAME! fromsoft have just destroyed my faith in them especially after old mans ring! UTTER GARBAGE!
It doesn't say that it's actually a basic ass 90s game that's very boring and u will get burnt out early on. Why do they, I mean why doesn't it tell you this? So IT can secure content for videos plus a good chance to suck off FS. I love FS but this game is garbage.
Doom Eternal is better.
> can't use healing items if you want to get S rank
FALSE! I used a repair kit in mission 1 to top off my health, and I got S rank. The point is to conserve ammo and minimize damage taken. Even though I used the repair kit, I didn't need to. But the mere fact that I used it did not stop me from getting S rank. Noob.
Im the one guy, that dont care about this game?
16. Its garbage
The first thing they don’t tell you is that this game is absolute dog shit. Three straight fuckin flops. Sometimes companies peak early and fall off. This is just my opinion but, my opinion is that the game was a waste of time they could have been using making a good game.
Why?
@@Quote04 it’s genuinely just not a good game in my opinion. I’ve always like armored core and this doesn’t even feel like an AC game. They straight up lied when they said this wasn’t a souls game. It’s honestly Sekiro with bots and I HATED Sekiro. I’m sure the fan boys are gonna love this game but I think Fromsoft fell off after DS3. I don’t like Elden Ring at all either. I’ve lost almost all faith in them as a company.
@@voodoobebop6281 ok, i understand your opinion, i also felt the game was waaay too close to the dark souls formula for an AC game, but at this point, i prefer a "Bad" AC game to "NO" AC game, with the hope that the series will become popular.
Y'all are crazy. This feels more Armored Core than 4th and 5th gen did
