When i was younger, i was the only gamer i knew into armored core games. glad to see the audience has grown! Gundam was what made me love this game. I always used it as a replacement for the customizable gundam game we never got back in the ps2 era.
I’ll never know why Gundam: Operation Troy was never released in the US. Encounters in Space was my favorite and the one w/ the Dingo Squad. My dream would be an 08th MS Team game.
As a Mecha model kit enthusiasts, I can definitely say I’m gonna be hanging out a lot in the customisation menu, as well as enjoying and getting a lot inspiration from the gorgeous environment designs. I can’t wait for this game to come out.😊
I loved Metal Gears in Metal Gear Solid games. I always wanted to pilot and customize one. Thank you Fromsoftware for making that dream a reality on Aug. 25th!!!!!
This is the way! I remember playing old armored core games back in the day. I'd try to paint and customize my mechs with inspirations from Gundams. You can spend forever customizing lol
I just so happy that a whole new generation gets to know about Armored Core! Never thought I'd ever see a brand new entry with so much polish. Hope it sells well and everyone has a great mech building experience!
I'm grateful that most of the new players will at least have experience with a Souls game. Armored Core is known for demoralizing the uninitiated. The only reason I got good enough to enjoy the series is because I adore mechs.
@@rugie6247 *_>Imagine basing how great a game is by its amount of money sold from it_* LMAO That could never be me By that logic, any AAA games or Mobile games with Microtransactions, Battlepasses, and Lootboxes are the BEST games ever made on the planet because they earn 19723587135984652 seggtillion dollars per year than your average game
One thing I love about Armored Core there many in-depth mechanics gameplay can either be fast-paced MGs go brrr or chunky tank destroy everything, and that's what I love the most, and subtle storytelling with atmosphere and the outlandish customisation and consequences with the customization. To me, this game is a love letter to us and mech fans while be little bit more accessible to people, not say I don't have my concerns but at the end of day I enjoy any Armored Core game, I wish to see y'all on the battlefield Ravens.
This is exactly the type of game I have been craving, tactical, fast paced and action focused. Going to preorder this and Spiderman 2 and I will be set for the year. Even though it will be my first Armored Core, I know I will dig it.
I played all the AC games and never played a Souls game in full. I'm excited to see what they pull from the Souls stuff after the looooong AC hiatus and bring to the series. There's no way that DNA doesn't bleed through and im interested to see what that feels like. 2 hours in builder, 10 minutes in game. And you're gonna like it 😂
Basically the bosses will be the only souls part in the DNA.... hopefully some of them are no longer as BS-ey as ultimate Zinaida Which even then I would argue isnt soulsey since methodical bosses exist in 5th gen AC....
First game I've preordered in years. From has earned that trust, I love mechs, I like fast action combat (Sekiro is my favorite From game by far), and I love the overall atmosphere of this thing.
AC6 like in many older AC games is confirmed to have branching story paths depending on gameplay choices like faction and mission selection! its also around 50 missions, I'm sure a handful will be gated by the paths you take! cant wait!!
yooo 50 missions is really cool to hear! i saw some people got to play it early and the only had 11 missions to play i think so i thought that'd be all there was. this will be my first AC game and one of my fears was that it would be too short or not have enough variety of missions.
Fires of Rubicon appears to be an amalgamation of the best parts of 4th and 5th generation Armored Core with a few new ideas thrown in. From 4th gen I see we have the return of Overed Boost, called Assault Boost, along with Primal Armor and Assault Armor. However in terms of average AC speed, ACVI seems to be on the side of 5th generation and has the scan functionality which allows you to spot enemies from behind cover. The new ideas in ACVI are OS tuning and Aim Assist along with certain QoL features that allow FromSoft to design longer missions. As in previous entries the real test of your skill in AC is not beating the missions but getting 100% S-Rank on all missions and it seems like reloading checkpoints and using repair kits automatically disqualify you from getting an S-Rank.
From soft talked in interviews about hiding more secret unique gameplay mechanics for later on in the game like they did with os tuning a few hours into the game so I’m really hyped to see what they do with this
The aim assist was there in 4 and 5 as well, less so in 5. According to the devs game speed is between 3 and 5, with "burst up to 4" the footage I've seen definitely leans more towards very much between 3 and 5. But a lot of people think 5 is slow because they've never seen high level play. So we'll have to wait and see how that turns out. As far as inspiration, seems to me like they're taking a bit from everything, especially the whole recoil stuff where reverse joints and bipeds have to stop momentarily to fire charge shots and similar things, where quads and tanks won't.
@@Valkrss Kind of like how Elden Ring is a best of the Souls series when it comes to mechanics it looks like ACVI is a best of the Armored Core series.
I've been saying it since this game was a rumor: All they need to do is make a good Armored Core game. It really does look like the devs worked with this as their mantra.
Nah, they came in saying "Lets put all the experience we have found over the years and throw it at a board and see what sticks, and have as much fun as possible doing it". This game already looks to be the love letter they wanted to make for not their fans or the past AC games, but to themselves and all the hard work they have put in to make video games as a whole. Fromsoft has never catered to anyone but themselves imo. They make games they want to play and do not care what anyone else has to say.
Excited for this one especially with the recent track record of FromSoftware! I’ve always been interested in the Armored Core series but never played it for whatever reason 🤔 now seems like a good time to jump in.. thanks for keeping me entertained on my lunch break gameranx 💙🥪
As an old school Mech Warrior fan, thank you so much for making this video and breaking things down. This has been very informative and I'm starting to get excited about this new Mech game.
As a "young" school Mech Warrior fan I am a little shocked that the video compares AC 6 from 2023 with some ancient Mechwarrior title from the nineties instead of Mechwarrior V 😀 Furthermore, I realize that Gundam style combat is really nothing for me - scating and physics-defying movement instead of huge stompy mechs? Not my thing. A pity since AC6 really looks cool and the customizations would be exactly my thing.
One grossly overlooked aspect of Armored Core is their soundtrack. It always fit the theme of the stages, and was especially perfect for the potential hours in the Garage customizing the ACs
I recently learned fromsoft made murakumo renegade mech pursuit back in 03, one of my favorite childhood games. Whenever i see armed core flying around i get slapped with such nostalgia. Def buying day one
These were hands down my fav series of games. I played them all starting at 3. From Software was always strapped for cash and never hit major success when they were making all the AC games. This will be the first one with tons of funding behind it and I have a feeling its a project the devs themselves have always wanted to go balls out on. The hype is real even though I have been so disappointment by hype before.
Whoa! It's so nice you guys take the time to make an 10 things you need to know about armored core VI video. Old fans lost their minds with that armored core theme UK bus a couple of days ago. It's so weird to see the series with the AAA game treatment. XD Can´t wait to play the game btw.
On the “this isn’t futuristic elden ring” People have expressed concern that armored core might take up too many soulsborne mechanics. But I wonder about the opposite: future soulsborne games taking up mechanics from the new armored core entry. I know I’ve heard people bring up how some of the ER bosses demand movement more akin to bloodborne but the player is primarily stuck with DS style movement (unless you spam bloodhound step). So I feel like it’d be a more interesting question to wonder if future soulsborne-style games will have faster movement like bloodborne or even sekiro (I doubt it’d get significantly faster than either) regardless whether or not they share the ip/name.
I'm very late posting this. But I want to help anyone thinking about getting into this. For those who don't know. Most Armored Core games, including 6, are about mega-corporations, so powerful, they have become like governments, and they are always at war, fighting with, spying on, and sabotaging each other, over control of territory, or some resource. An Armored Core, is a giant robot you pilot from the inside, a Mech. It gets it's name from the main piece, the chest piece known as the Core, that everything else attaches to, and where you sit. What makes an AC different from other prebuilt mass production mechs (Muscle Tracers), is that an Armored Core is almost completely customizable, with swappable parts, and you can build for certain situations, or build for a moving & fighting style that makes you happy. You play as an independent mercenary with their own AC. You do missions even messed up ones, to earn money to survive this crazy world, pay off your debts, and more importantly, buy more expensive parts to experiment with, or just have if you need them. As you start out as an independent mercenary, with your own cheap, basic AC, nearly no one really cares about you...but as you improve in skill, and perfecting your build, for you. These same corporations, that belittled you, start respecting you, then even begging you to side with them, then you become so god-like in ability, they try taking you out, because they see you as a threat. And you just keep surviving all of these traps, suicide-missions, ambushes, and assassination attempts, until you become a force of nature, a wildcard, an Irregular, that can save the world, or destroy it. That's Armored Core. Oh, I forgot to mention. You can build a lightweight and agile AC, that's like a racing machine, fragile, but able to outmaneuver nearly anything, or, you can have a big, bulky AC able to hold big, heavy, powerful weapons, heavily armored(literally), and slowly moving through the world, devastating those in it's path, like it's Jason Voorhees, or Michael Myers. Or, build anything in-between with different amount of weight, mobility, energy usage, and firepower. Also think about if you're comfortable fighting up close, meaning easy to hit things, harder to dodge, or sniping, or any range in between. And every weapon and targeting system(Fire Control System), has a range they work best at. The amount of options & stats can be overwhelming, but it can be very fun to build the best giant robot right for you, or the situation, mixing & matching parts to maximize the stats & abilities you care about, or build something balanced, and it can be very fun mastering that machine, to survive whatever challenge comes your way, with little to no costs to you...unless your build uses a lot of expensive ammo to cause devastation, then that's fair. And the Armored Core series has always been difficult, because you have master complicated controls/movements, fight dangerous enemies be them bosses or large groups, and in the middle of all this, you have to keep track of things in your mech, like energy left to do an action, energy recharge rate, ammo of all your weapons, timing the fire rate/reloading of your weapons, and your enemy's weapons, and setting up your movements & distance so your attacks are more effective, or just to make your opponents miss hitting you much, or at all. I hope this helps newcomers, and I hope FromSoftware brings back all the old games, with modern controls, on modern systems & PC, so more people can experience them. I would love to play all the games before Nexus, on a PC, and be able to buy Human+ in game, for a high price, instead of purposely building debt just to become a cyborg experiment. And other things to spend in game money on, like a base, or treasure. Be great if they also showed or added to the lore of other pilots, before, during, and after the Nexus generation of games.
I'm only familiar with From Software due to Chrome Hounds. A really fun game that became dominated by "frog builds" and only a few of the largest most powerful clans were able to get any of the more prestigious achievements and then of course they shut down the servers which locked off the ability to ever get those achievements again. Loved Chrome Hounds. Warts and all.
#10 is my favourite entry♥️. I was getting tired of people calling this Dark Souls but with mechs, showing that they know nothing of the masterpiece that is armoured core. Thank you Jake for setting these fools straight🙏🏾💯
As long as they bring back the Moonlight Blade and the Karasawa (MK2?) Laser Rife from Armored Core 2. I would love to see a Buster Rife or Beam Cannon like in the Gundam series.
I LOVE the AC series, always have! It is so sweet that after all this time they are finally coming out with another one! I'm really happy to see that they are sticking with the Armored Core and NOT making it a Souls-like! So awesome that they are bringing the arena back, that was a great way to get parts if you were struggling with a main quest and power up. My biggest hope is that the campaign is long like the first AC. I think it took me over 60 hours to beat AC 1, and like 40 for AC 2, but by 3 you beat the game in like 12 hours. It was very sad, and that was one of the things I was really hoping to hear about in this video.
I have never been into mech games tbh. I was always more into high-fantasy RPGs. Fromsoft really captured me with the souls series and I gotta say... if anyone was to interest me in mech games, itd be them. This looks fantastic
Best way that I summarize this game series is basically; if you like/love Ace Combat, you're going to like/love Armored Core. They're basically twin games in functionality by missions and loadout setups and both are by Bandai Namco ultimately. Best way to find out if Armored Core is for you is to play Ace Combat, I highly recommend 7 ❤
Thanks Falcon ! I want nothing more but new fans on AC , I want my favorite games to be appreciated just as much as I appreciate them . If you’re a newcomer , don’t feel threatened by all the HUD elements during gameplay, sure you gotta watch them , but not really , focus more on your movement and dogging , a big Tip for newcomers; NEVER STOP MOVING . I’m so excited for this game ❤
Jake was the host in this video but thank you for the advice. I absolutely love Mecha in all sorts of media so hopefully I'm able to afford the game at release.
@@bombomos When at standoff distance you can have big or swarming missiles heading for you these are dealt with by a missile defense system consisting of radars, command-and-control technology and multiple types of interceptors, all working together to detect, identify and defeat tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones, advanced aircraft and other threats.
Great video. My fear was that earlier games have always been kind of simplistic, no real exploration, nothing to look forward to besides a different map with different enemies. They seem to have really padded this out, and for the first time I really excited for this game.
from the older game of armored core there are 3 thing you need know 1.there is no best loadout in game all part have plus and minus side, its depend on your playstyle and how you use the build. if you encounter a best loadout on youtube, google or discord its propably a noob friendly but still powerfull enough, try use it perhaps you will find your playstyle from it 2.arena are known to be a good place to train become git gud, you will fight npc ai ac and the higher the rank the harder the fight but you will become better on game mechanic 3. last one its from soft game, even the easiest on franchise armored core 3 have 1 mission that are very difficult to beat, but all are beatable you just need to find the way(some best strategy to beat hard level are actually simple and just right there)
I haven't touched an Armored Core game since probably around 2008, I think... I only vaguely remember it, and I remember LOVING it, and I'm so hyped to get a new one. I completely forgot about the series until I saw this one announced. If I can, I want to see how making an all melee build would go. Probably extremely bad, but it'll be fun
All melee would be incredibly high risk but big reward since the beam sabers are damn near one shot kills. The trade off is your movement has to be immaculate to minimize damage from getting shot at.
I am truly excited for this game. Like many others, this will be my first Armored Core I can't wait to hear the good reviews so I can pick it up myself
I constantly switch between lock-on assist and turning it off. Calling it "easy mode" is a bit silly, haha... because there's so much movement in all directions, if you're fighting a small fast enemy vs a larger one, it can make or break your performance, because while you can spin around backwards quickly with quick turn it isn't really the same in a fast-paced fight. I think the implementation of the lock on assist in AC6 is fantastic. Probably the best in any game I've seen utilizing such features.
A big thing is, beware of the weight limits of the legs and core. Some powerful weapons are way too heavy for normal legs so quad/tank legs can help you out. There is also a hidden mechanic in old AC games called human+, its an "easy" mode where the if you die and loss credits to be like -50k 6x or 8x in debt, the company will do special surgery on your body that make you even more stronger to being able to do more stuff, like having no weight limit, being able to use more energy consuming less of it, etc, etc. Each AC game has their own human+ mechanic that we dont know yet if it will have here on 6 but beware of it. There is also 120hz fps mode that will make the game even faster if you're able to play with that on, so yeah. Very excited to play this game, I never played it before, I was just a soulsborne fan and now after playing some AC oldschool games i'm definily hyped to check this new one out!
I remember the OG Armored Core. The tutorial was here's 2 mechs defeat them, no explanation of the controls or what things on the screen were for. No difficulty setting, once you start a mission there is no saving, healing, you either beat the mission, aborted, or just died. You die so many times and you get a upgrade to help you out. These upgrades affected the story progression I think. I loved it. They should remaster the old ones for PC, I would buy all of them and play them in order.
Loving all the AC6 vids I am getting from the reco feed. I hope one addition that FS gives later on in either an update for AC6 or for AC7 is the option or a set of weapons or parts that focus on electronic warfare to hack an enemy mech to disable them non lethally. Also opens up the option to harvest parts or weapons from enemy mechs so we can use them on our own mech or sell them for funds. Would be extra awesome if this was doable for boss fights too maybe just make it more tricky to perfectly pull off but still doable and lets us get special parts or weapons from harvesting from boss units! Up to FS if they decide to make that available from the start of new game or just give that option after NG+++++. Something that might let us go for what can amount to a pacifist run specially when we consider how FS played with the story for this game. Having to fight characters that we grow to like can suck so bad. Having the option to disable their mechs without blowing them up or having the capacity to pull off Kira Yamato style non lethal mech destruction BS moves would be a nice thing specially if they design it where it'd be extra tricky to do somehow. Dismembering a parts off the enemy mechs would be cool too. Pulling out the enemy FCS unit out of their mech or whatever lets them pull off the moves they abuse during their respective boss fights and letting players use a copied version of the Boss unit's moves would be nice too. Albeit adjusted for balance purposes of course. Also I hope Bamco lets FS make their next Gundam game or maybe the next Another Century's episode or maybe a FS tactics edition ripping off or straight up improving the style used in the Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 3. SEGA shat the bed so bad with that game series that it made me wish that style gets ripped off wholesale for the next Super Robot Taisen or whatever action game gets a tactical rpg spin off. OK I think I like this idea gonna go copy paste this to other videos and make a compressed version of this to FS/ Miyazaki's twitter or something! Would be awesome if folks who like this idea would spread it around FS might just do it~
yes, i’m a long time fan, even though i barely finish it when i try it. I’m just glad the series are making a return. Hopefully after the release of AC6 , we’ll also get “Gundam breaker” with gameplay and graphics like AC6.
This game was so popular at one time that Tips & Tricks magazine had a section for Armored Core builds. People could send in their different mech builds, and they would show them off in the magazine. This was pre-internet, obviously.
I remember as a kid I use to play armored code with my father and we would intentionally try and make super heroes like the hulk, iron man, captain America, and more. The limits of customization are almost non existent!
I cant wait!! Armored Core has been a all time favorite series of mine, been counting down the days for this release. Played everyone of the mainline titles, and loved em, quirks and all.
This game reminds me of a DS game i used to adore and play constantly: Custom Robo Arena. Obviously Custom Robo is a bit of a smaller scale but customizing the robots with different equipment each fight to see what cool combos could be made as well as the general battles were the heart of it. And it seems like this game has that same formula. Im excited to jump into an Armored Core for the first time soon ❤
Ahhhh the countdown until my mech once again rises to glory on the battlefield! Wish there would be co-op missions and deployable companion bots for scouting/ health / trap laying/ turret. One of my favorite all time titles ... it's so beautiful. Hope to see everyone at the Raven's nest.
I remember Moonlight lightsabers always hidden around. I remember one mission where the mission was to protect this really powerful weapon and people like “Just take the weapon fail the mission…”
I've been playing Armored Core since the first one way back on the PS1. My favorite memory was fighting my friend in split screen on one of the PS2 games. We had completely different ACs and completely different play styles but we still managed to end up in a TIE
Remember Heavy Arms Custom? Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz? The Quad Chain Guns? You can make THAT in Armored Core I remember making a Mech, I forgot which Armored Core game, back on PS2 - with Quadruped Leg Setup, with 4 Miniguns - for each Shoulder Button - to be fired independently OR ALTOGETHER - straight bad ass
I'm a new comer to the Armored Core series. I didn't know they existed till about a year ago. Was considering 4 or 5, but 6 being announced I decided to wait. I'm very excited, which I try not to do on new releases anymore, but I have faith in From Software being a big Elden Ring fan. I've wanted to pilot a over the top, hyper violent mech since I was a child lol
Take this with a grain of salt but I remember hearing one of the dev interviews that players can share their loadout specs within the game to other players. That helps if you want to share your S-rank mech build to others struggling to get that rank. Of course they said that they won't let you copy exactly if you don't have the right parts unlocked. Curious to see how this mechanic plays out.
Yep. I'm not sure if it's functionality on consoles, but there will be ways to upload your loadout for others to import as long as they have the parts unlocked.
It's fucking crazy to me how we STILL need to keep fucking reiterating that THIS IS AN ARMORED CORE GAME, it's not a Souls game or "Souls-like". Even the devs have gone on record on multiple interview but for some reason it doesn't get through some people''s thick skulls that THIS IS AN ARMORED CORE GAME AC has always had bombastic boss fights, though these are shaping out to be a bit more... "cinematic" than in previous entries Really happy that they're bringing back map exploration during missions to find hidden parts The Stagger mechanic does seem like it's new, but if you've played the older games you know that there was always a degree of stagger depending on your weapons and the enemy stats, it's just that now it's taken a more center stage kind of approach I'm really glad my favorite game franchise is finally back after a 10 year absence, and I will be approaching 6 with an open mind since so far every AC gen has had something to call its own strength
I spent so many hours in the garage of Armored Core 4 Answer replicating mechs from different games and anime as best as I could. Fun stuff. I wonder just how many of those builds i can re-create here....? At any rate, I'm planning to cheese the levels with my tried and true build from back then; dual gattling guns and dual grenade launchers. Gonna unlock the assault armor feature because i used that too. I got this.
I wish gundam was a mix of this and zone Enders I’m excited for this game but soon as star field comes out I’m go be to involved to give this the attention it deserves
Long time AC fan. Played Armored Core 2 as the first one in the series, and have dipped into sequels some times. I am very happy to hear that the core of what AC is remains intact and we are not getting a Mech Souls game.
I imagine manual lock will just work the same as gens 1-3 and 5 where you need to manually keep the target within your reticle to lock. Gen 4's aiming was much more similar to AC6 where lock is determined by distance rather than position on the screen. Also stagger isn't a new mechanic. It was introduced in gen 5, although much more subtley because there was no meter. You or your enemy could just get staggered, where they'd get stuck in place for a moment and take bonus damage. AC6's stagger seems much more central to the game's design.
Ok, now I’m intrigued. It’s Ace Combat but Elden Ring. You’re a pilot, but of mechs and not jets. I love mission based stuff. I’m probably picking this game up. It’ll be my first one, so all you veterans, go easy on me. I just wanna see big robot blow thing up
Never vibed with the SoulsBorn style, but came to appreciate the developer's pedigree from the sidelines. However recently I got into Ace Cobat 7 (Japanese developed fighter jet game) and having a blast with NFS Unbound right now. Seems like a perfect cocktail to jump into a returning mech legend without playing an actual mech game beforehand.
Never played an Armored Core game before (I was a bit young/not smart enough for it back in the day) but I’m really looking forward to checking this 1 out!!

In prior games, sniper rifles were OP because the targeting was very accurate and you can shoot the enemy before they can shoot you.
That part about them not charging 70$ really solidifies fromsoft as a true G. Its refreshing to see a dev respecting their customers.

This is the way! I remember playing old armored core games back in the day. I'd try to paint and customize my mechs with inspirations from Gundams. You can spend forever customizing lol
Building a granddaddy Gundam first day
I’m gonna 100% go with pink snow camo if that’s an option lol. Nothing like playing a deadly merc dressed in pink.
And model kits for AC6 are coming too
I just so happy that a whole new generation gets to know about Armored Core! Never thought I'd ever see a brand new entry with so much polish. Hope it sells well and everyone has a great mech building experience!
Dude there were games on the 360. Which is not that long ago.
I'm grateful that most of the new players will at least have experience with a Souls game. Armored Core is known for demoralizing the uninitiated. The only reason I got good enough to enjoy the series is because I adore mechs.

is this gane hard to get into?

And you're gonna like it 😂
Basically the bosses will be the only souls part in the DNA.... hopefully some of them are no longer as BS-ey as ultimate Zinaida
Which even then I would argue isnt soulsey since methodical bosses exist in 5th gen AC....
First game I've preordered in years. From has earned that trust, I love mechs, I like fast action combat (Sekiro is my favorite From game by far), and I love the overall atmosphere of this thing.
I really hope we get another Sekiro. My fav From game as well.
From soft talked in interviews about hiding more secret unique gameplay mechanics for later on in the game like they did with os tuning a few hours into the game so I’m really hyped to see what they do with this
@@godly_potatoe69xd19 AC6 becomes a dance game confirmed.
What I haven't heard said is that with AC6, it feels like technology finally caught up to FromSoft's vision for the games.
@@Darkaoron Don't put words in my mouth that I didn't say.
I didn't say "lets make a game AC fans will love". I simply said "make a good AC game".
As a "young" school Mech Warrior fan I am a little shocked that the video compares AC 6 from 2023 with some ancient Mechwarrior title from the nineties instead of Mechwarrior V 😀
Furthermore, I realize that Gundam style combat is really nothing for me - scating and physics-defying movement instead of huge stompy mechs? Not my thing. A pity since AC6 really looks cool and the customizations would be exactly my thing.
There’s definitely big differences between the two but yeah
Really excited for my first AC game. Hoping it can scratch an itch that others games arent quite getting for me.
Just because this game was made by From, you don't need to keep comparing it to Dark and Elden. It's a completely different type of game.
this, baldurs gate, elden ring… i’m excited to see these passionate studios showing the low effort/quality developers how its done.
10 more years of only mecha FromSoft games, Souls fans can wait 10 years for *their* next game like we did.
Whoa! It's so nice you guys take the time to make an 10 things you need to know about armored core VI video. Old fans lost their minds with that armored core theme UK bus a couple of days ago. It's so weird to see the series with the AAA game treatment. XD Can´t wait to play the game btw.
On the “this isn’t futuristic elden ring”
People have expressed concern that armored core might take up too many soulsborne mechanics.
This will be my first armored core game. Looks epic. I see they mentioned end game, how does that work? And is there pvp?
Yes PVP was confirmed
1v1 and 3v3 with spectators, apparently.
Apparently, new game + change missions and add new ones instead of just power up enemies and it unlocks new endings
Welcome back Ravens.
What a long way of saying “you didn’t think FromSoftware would stick to the soulsborne genre forever, did you?”
Moonlight blade? theres a moonlight sword too in these games ? 😂 fromsoft loves moonlight and im all for it
Thank you for saying THIS IS NOT A FUTURISTIC ELDEN RING
Can't wait to armor my core
I have never been into mech games tbh. I was always more into high-fantasy RPGs.
Fromsoft really captured me with the souls series and I gotta say... if anyone was to interest me in mech games, itd be them.
This looks fantastic
Armored Core was actually what FromSoft was known for before Dark Souls; Miyazaki's first stint as director was actually Armored Core: For Answer!
My 1st Armored Core. First few hours I was skeptical about continuing. Fast forward a week and I'm on my 2nd play through with 6 different builds.
Outside of the obvious differences in combat, this is a great comparison I never thought of
@@davidwilmot9895 haha yeah, Armored Core definitely has a vertical aspect that Ace Combat couldn't do
Both ac's 6 have fire of something
Both are fantasy of piloting stuff
Doesn’t seem like a game I’d play but I’m glad From Software is able to bring this game back with their now AAA funding. Elden Ring was amazing
Loved Armored Core 2 as a kid and so did all of my brothers. So stoked how the new games looks basically the same deal!
Patriot systems are crucial at times and a good set up of this can defeat the aggressive and heavily armed in PVP 😉
Patriot systems??
@@bombomos When at standoff distance you can have big or swarming missiles heading for you these are dealt with by a missile defense system consisting of radars, command-and-control technology and multiple types of interceptors, all working together to detect, identify and defeat tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones, advanced aircraft and other threats.
Great video. My fear was that earlier games have always been kind of simplistic, no real exploration, nothing to look forward to besides a different map with different enemies. They seem to have really padded this out, and for the first time I really excited for this game.
Hi Gameranx Hi Jake glad you covered this!
So happy they are making it like the OG armored core games, AC2 was amazing and brings me back.
Yes! Master of Arena was so awesome, good to see the arena is back
from the older game of armored core there are 3 thing you need know
1.there is no best loadout in game all part have plus and minus side, its depend on your playstyle and how you use the build.
if you encounter a best loadout on youtube, google or discord its propably a noob friendly but still powerfull enough, try use it perhaps you will find your playstyle from it
2.arena are known to be a good place to train become git gud, you will fight npc ai ac and the higher the rank the harder the fight but you will become better on game mechanic
3. last one its from soft game, even the easiest on franchise armored core 3 have 1 mission that are very difficult to beat, but all are beatable you just need to find the way(some best strategy to beat hard level are actually simple and just right there)
I haven't touched an Armored Core game since probably around 2008, I think...
Watched the Vaatividya so now I’m hyped.
Before You Buy before its release?!
Crazy how I just found out about this game last week and I'm so freaking hyped for it! Doing to do my best to create Chars Zaku II
I'm gonna make a Megas XLR unit, man i can't wait, just 3 more days, i'm gonna spend the entire weekend on my PC lmao
@@armoredlumberjack1999 that's dope! Enjoy yourself my friend!
My mouth is watering with the mech possibilities.
Would be awesome if folks who like this idea would spread it around FS might just do it~
it really hits me when the Intro says " Welcome Back Raven.! "
ah.. yes, i am Back!!!
OMG...I'm eagerly awaiting the GR Before You Buy for this.
yes, i’m a long time fan, even though i barely finish it when i try it.
This is what Ive been wanting Bandai to do with the Gundam games for a long time.
You weren't kidding about right around the corner. Excited!
This comes out on my birthday :) my hype is unreal. One of my first game was mech warrior and I loved AC 4 & 5 so pray for me this game slaps too
I’m so excited for this. Time to recreate my fast light armor melee AC when I was young.
I’ve never played an armored core game before but I’m so ready to try this.
This will be my first Armored Core game. I'm VERY looking forward to this. I love mech and destruction.
Remember Heavy Arms Custom?
Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz?
The Quad Chain Guns?
You can make THAT in Armored Core
I remember making a Mech, I forgot which Armored Core game, back on PS2 - with Quadruped Leg Setup, with 4 Miniguns - for each Shoulder Button - to be fired independently OR ALTOGETHER - straight bad ass
Based Katyusha pfp
Take this with a grain of salt but I remember hearing one of the dev interviews that players can share their loadout specs within the game to other players. That helps if you want to share your S-rank mech build to others struggling to get that rank. Of course they said that they won't let you copy exactly if you don't have the right parts unlocked. Curious to see how this mechanic plays out.
Yep. I'm not sure if it's functionality on consoles, but there will be ways to upload your loadout for others to import as long as they have the parts unlocked.
As someone who loved and enjoyed Demon X Machina, this will surely be a masterpiece for me
It's fucking crazy to me how we STILL need to keep fucking reiterating that THIS IS AN ARMORED CORE GAME, it's not a Souls game or "Souls-like". Even the devs have gone on record on multiple interview but for some reason it doesn't get through some people''s thick skulls that THIS IS AN ARMORED CORE GAME
AC has always had bombastic boss fights, though these are shaping out to be a bit more... "cinematic" than in previous entries
Really happy that they're bringing back map exploration during missions to find hidden parts
The Stagger mechanic does seem like it's new, but if you've played the older games you know that there was always a degree of stagger depending on your weapons and the enemy stats, it's just that now it's taken a more center stage kind of approach
I'm really glad my favorite game franchise is finally back after a 10 year absence, and I will be approaching 6 with an open mind since so far every AC gen has had something to call its own strength
I can't wait for someone to come up with a build similar to BT7274 from TitanFall 2!!
This is turning out to be a killer year for gamers. We eatin goooooood
I got this.
I played Armored Core 2, 3. Never got to play 4,5. Fromsoft thank you for reviving one of my childhood favs.
I wish gundam was a mix of this and zone Enders I’m excited for this game but soon as star field comes out I’m go be to involved to give this the attention it deserves
I have never played any of them, but it looks like I might want to play this one.
Thanks, Jake
Long time AC fan. Played Armored Core 2 as the first one in the series, and have dipped into sequels some times. I am very happy to hear that the core of what AC is remains intact and we are not getting a Mech Souls game.
From someone who has never played AC. This video is very helpful!!!
If only there was a gundam game like this. That would be awesome
The nostalgia came back as soon as you started showing the ac customization!
The customization in the original games was epic back in the day i CANT WAIT to see what its gonna be this time around
This is the first game I've ever rode the hype train for. I haven't played an armored core since 3
My friends and I are so hyped, we’ve already decided on call signs, mech names and emblems 😂
