    OMG Laura! Must have Trellis... Neighbor has a willow tree, Now I'm going to raid their branch pile when they trim the tree in the fall. Haha! Excellent. Thank you Laura. Such a beautiful, beautiful idea. And I must say, I would love to see more bits of Dexter in the videos... such a wonderful interaction between the two of you.

    They look lovely and beautiful, I'm sure it will be even more gorgeous when the plant is all over the trellis. Do you need to secure the trellis in case it gets windy?

    Hi there, I have been watching lots of video's of willow basket making, and most of them are in the UK., and I would love to grow some willow for that purpose, but not sure on the variety? I know of the weeping willow's, would that be a variety that could be used for basket making?
    I came across you video of this lovely trellis, and am excited to see here in the States this kind of art work for the garden!
    Would it be possible to do a video of some of the varieties of willow that can be used...??? I am all pumped up ready to go and plant and make something fun out of willow!
    And where to get it also? I know of a big weeping willow not too far from me, so will try for some cuttings of that this year, guess I could go to a local nursery to see what they have too? Thanks for sharing your lovely video's and cut baby Benjamin and also Russell, he is such a hoot fly by at sonic speed and just being with you!

    I want to see what it looks like with growth. anyone know which update video it's in?

    • @gardenanswer
      @gardenanswer  7 лет назад +2

      I'm not sure that it actually made it into an update video- sorry about that! The clematis grew really well, but I ended up taking the trellis out to use it in a different spot because I was given an iron trellis as a gift and wanted to put it to use right away! :)

      oh ok no worries! I really really love your videos. They're relaxing and energizing all at once. I have the opposite of a green thumb but you're inspiring me to change that this season and explore to see what I can do!

    No no no on pruning seal!!! It’s so bad for the tree! Let the cut close naturally. The tree has its own innate way of dealing with it. You’ve just made a place for insects and disease to live, sealed in not out!!! No no no!

  • @Grrrnthumb
    @Grrrnthumb Год назад

    You are experienced enough to know that wound seal is complete nonsense, especially for a willow. ALL experienced gardeners know that. Please reconsider selling out your beginner subscribers by knowingly giving them bad advice to get the sponsorship $ for your video. Not cool.
