So glad to see that you've been inspired by my twig cloche video to build the tepee, yours looks great! I used my tepees for peas, but yours look sturdy enough for tomatoes. Love the way you used bark as the weaving and finial, marvelous. Thank you for the plug, much appreciated>
Happy to see you here Jeri. And thanks for sharing part of your magical world and work.
Smart and cool to make. Oh I’m so thankful of what God had done for us!
Ah, I've been eyeing small branches lately - now I know why. Thanks!
Watching this video reminded me of reading Walden.
Love when ya riff on the environmental and economic issues we face as industrial peoples in the 21st century. Thank you!
This video is science, technology, engineering, art (I loved your song, too), math, and history in perfect balance.
I watched it twice.
These will be perfect as a project for me and my 6yo daughter who wants to grow both green peas and sweet peas in her garden this summer! They'll go perfect with her vegetable chaos planting (let's call it whimsical 😛)! Thank you for the inspiration! ❤
That will work perfectly
awwww! does she has her own garden???? cutest thing ever
@@rosagapi yup, it's only about two feet wide and 12feet long but she packs eeeverything in there! She was so stinking proud when we picked leeks and brussel sprouts yesterday in the middle of winter and she gets to brag about it at the dinner table! 😂❤ she has popcorn, potatoes, peas, broad beans, tomatoes, parsley, squash, and a bunch of flowers planned for this year. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out! Her 9yo sister has a much bigger flower border/herb garden with a tiiiiny seating area for one chair in it.
It's a bit different, but hey, when you're broke you figure out cheap hobbies for the kids! 😂👍
@@lemonielala3080 one of the best things I've read today. You know, my father has a garden full of vegetables here in Italy, which is good if you're broke... or in lockdown due to some new virus... Your children will have farmer skills... they are very lucky
@@rosagapi I looooove Italy! 😍 I feel for you being on lockdown, we're just getting started here in Finland. Kids had orders to take home all school books in prepration of the school possibly closing, so it's a good thing they can keep busy in the yard if it comes to that! 😉 let's hope it blows over soon so we can get back to normal life. Until then, we'll just binge suburban homestead and craft away in the garden. ❤🌱👌
I love using sticks in my garden, they are sculptural and very beautiful. Climbing beans do very well on teepees. I find stick and branch teepees a bit better than bamboo as the rougher surface is easier for plants to cling to and climb. Sweetpeas grow well with stick supports.
definitely going to try this - I cant be bothered making a template so I'm going to try just sticking them in a bucket of dirt to hold them upright :)
That’s a good idea
Last year I made similar tower from pruned rose branches. This spring I got fresh new sprouted rose tower :)))
That is gorgeous you've inspired me to try to make a couple for my garden.
Awesome to hear that
Wow, that is really so beautiful!
I love jeri landers. I enjoy and look for videos of you both! ❤️💕
It’s perfect! I gather downed branches from the surrounding forest and use them in my landscaping and gardens. I like your method of utilizing natural items in your creating! Your wise beyond your years and that is a special quality to observe!
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Prolific your words regarding Human labor and the capital of it as its loss is becoming normalized.
Brilliant video and Hop along Hollow artist Jeri is so well noted.
You Sir are endlessly talented!
Grateful for you sharing yours.
The ball on top is a nice touch.
Thanks. I think it helps make it more elegant
I live your closhe! I too, have been inspired by Jerri Landers at Hop along Holler! I have tried to follow her guidance in how I decorate my little home. She's so creative! I'll be watching your videos! Looking forward to seeing what youre doing!
She is great
Great job, very innovative. I love your background music too, I noticed you were the artist.
you're on fire Siloe :D love the video as always & your deep thoughts & sincerity that you share in them as well. thank you.
Thanks. I glad to know you resonate with the ideas I shared
At the start, instead of drilling holes in a circle of wood, you can stand the sticks upright in a large pot that is at least 30cm high. That’s what I do. Having someone else to hold the top steady helps.
Very artistic ! I am creating a garden space on my property and am looking for uses for all the cut brush that is rapidly accumulating. I love this idea. Thank you so much for sharing your technique.
Making and using the template is brilliant! Much appreciated video. Thank you :) Keep being you and doing your beautiful work. It is good to discuss important matters and to respect each other. Your videos bring a definite gentleness and reverence for all life.
I absolutely love Jeri Lander’s RUclips channel! I also enjoy your content as well and I’m not surprised that you enjoy following her too! After watching her video, I made a few of these last year from our apple tree pruning‘s… They worked magnificently at protecting plants from our dogs and chickens. I think you will have a lot of fun with yours as well. Keep up the good work and thanks so much for sharing!
She has a great garden.
I like both u guys home and garden decorations u and jerrylander
thanks. Her home is like a time warp
I just found your channel. Wonderful. Thank you, ill keep watching, 😊
Your videos really speak to my heart. I share your concerns about the value of labor and the future of it in this era of technological advancements. But most of all I really love the projects you make and how much you seem to enjoy making things for the sake of it.
So thank you for sharing all of this.
I'm glad you found the conversation relevant. Thanks for watching.
That is fab and worth all the work unique ♥️🏴 England
Your philosophy of life is very centering and encouraging....sometimes I am ready to give up on humanity, but you remind me of why we really matter. Thanks
Thanks for showing a few tricks for making one of these. I have saved a bundle of trimmings for just such a project.
I'm glad to have helped. It is always best to use them while still freshly cut for pliability.
Awesome creation! I love it when human using nature abundance to create something useful like this.
loved your tower i love yo use natural things🙏❤️☮️
Excellent video!! Teaching in many ways. Most excellent sir.
That turned out beautiful. It looks so much better than anything you would buy at a big box store, and use resources you already had in your yard. Well done.
Thanks! Free is always better
I love it! Thank you!

Wonderful and Creative ❤️
Thank you! 😊
Your videos are so peaceful to me. The way you are portrayed in your videos embodies so many things I wish people to see in me. The desire to do things the ‘old’ way is so strong for me. Thank you, for being an inspiration!
The trellis is soooo beautiful !!!
Thanks
That is a mystic, marvellous - magnificent tower...
Thanks
Beautiful. Some inspiration for next years pruning.
Thanks
Great job on both the lecture and the garden tower. Truly inspiring! That ball finial was the pinnacle in many senses!
so beautiful...love your work & video...really appreciated hearing your values. Bless our earth..bless you...thank you!
So creative. Turned out really nice
Thanks
Germany is still too wet and cold for gardening. Not that I have a garden to potter in, mind you. I'm gardening vicariously through you Mr Oliveira, and I'm having so much fun. :)
I hope spring arrives there soon.
Just an incredible channel that works with amazing content. Thanks for this. I’ll try I have plenty of bamboo. Thank you for sharing.
This was a very beautiful and peaceful video. Thankyou for recommending the other channel too, I’m always on the hunt for content such as yours and theirs! Handcrafting is a form of healing 🧡
Watching you craft this trellis was an inspiration. I'd much rather use the labor of my pruning creating garden ornaments; it's much better than taking it to the green waste. I also love your added insights on our connections to the earth and humanity. Thank you for helping us to keep in-tune and aware. Your videos are so fun to watch and filled with ideas to try in our gardens.
Far and away one of the best content creators on you tube...
Thank you young man.
I appreciate that Michael!
Fantastic project! Turned out really nicely. I’ll be keeping my eye out for
some spare branches!
Awesome.
wow, it looks beautiful, I got so inspired, I'm making my first pea tower
Hope you have fun
That came out superior to anything store bought! Well done, indeed!
Thanks!
The words you speak is 100% true.. So, I thank you for speaking them. Much Respect!
I appreciate that
That tree is an American Elm or a Slippery Elm. Hard to tell with the new leaves. The mature leaves of a Slippery Elm are ruff like sand paper. Nice plant tower, very creative.
I think it might be.
So awesome!! I'm planning to do the same thing!!
Thanks
Oh this is perfect!! I want to do this!! Siloé you have a great channel! I am so inspired!
I'm glad you liked it
Nicely done. Good reminder to use what you have, but also really great end product. Sturdy and beautiful. 🌱
Thanks
Amei pra encher de orquideas!!
That's what I love, make your own. I made for my cucumbers plus peas. I love this video!
Thanks!
I made a hasty stick pyramid for peas last season with some old pieces of chicken wire to grow on. It was so sad looking🤣🤣 Yours is a work of art.
It's beautiful! Thanks for all the great videos. :-)
Thanks for watching
This is a great idea!! I love watching Jeri Landers, her channel is amazing and she is so talented!! I love the wattle fencing she has around her property, also really enjoy your channel and have learned a lot, your rustic garden tower looks great!!!
She has a beautiful home
Wow that is sooo creative! I love the natural look and feel. I have lots of branches in my yard also I may have to try this. Thanks for the video.
Thanks. Hope you have fun making one
I love it! Dude...get some whitewash on that porch railing. It's gorgous, but weather is taking its toll. I'm so excited to have found your channel. I love the architecture, the hardware, flatware, fine china and gratitude you have for simple wonders of life.
Today - In England, its the first day of spring where it feels a bit of warmth in the sun. So I’m looking forward to getting in the garden and doing this kind of stuff soon
Hope you all have a great gardening season!
I think I’ll make something similar with some of the wood here which is from cobnut, they grow long straight rods. I made something last year from an apple tree we had to take down, but the wood soon became too brittle and the last storm we had took it out.
I love your stick trellis! Also after watching this I went to check out Jeri Landers and to my surprise her Hopalong Hollow is about 30 minutes from my house! Blessings to you and your family.
I love Jeri Landers at Hoppalong Hollow. Her gardens are so enchanting and magical. Her channels along with yours and several others have inspired me to move forward in building my own magical homestead.
Thank you!
Her house is like entering a Beatrix Potter book
Hi Siloe. Haven't seen one of your videos in quite a while. I really liked your obelisk! I also notice that you said you like Jeri Landers. She is another of my favorites! You are both unique and very real artists. One of the things I admire about both, your and Jeri's gardens is that they are "perfectly imperfect." Honest and real. Unpretentious. Thank you for showing this video on how to make your garden obelisk. You have inspired me to make a few for my own garden! Oh, and I particularly liked the finishing touch that you added to the top. The orb is perfection! : )
