If Aladdin`s story happens in far future, Hercules` story happens too. These brave lads actually meet in Hercules series in the episode Arabian night. So Hercules lives in future Greece, not ancient Greece.
With all the other Disney theories, the entire Disney universe may be set in the future. Belle loosely references "Aladdin" in "Beauty and the Beast", so it would have had to taken place after. And so many other connections make keeping the timeline straight impossible.
Who says Aladdin didn't intend to set Genie free? I always thought he really did intend to free him as soon as he learned about Genie's situation, it was just that one incident where his doubt forced him to go back on it for a little bit.
I agree after all Aladdin probably felt bad for him I under stand the future theory and everything but should we really be paying attention to this I mean to cartoon and it just ruins the magic of it
I still like to think that Genie is able to look into future! Remember when he says to Aladdin in the end, that he’s not gonna find another girl like Jasmine in a million years and then says he knows because he’s looked! As in:”Looked into the future!”
@@midnightmonsterstcgcox5282 maybe genie is from the future, and someone has cursed him cause he's making mistake, sended him to the past. And how to break it, is find a real kind master and make him become a human again !
Genie's just breaking the fourth wall. He's OOC. You know this because when he does it, the other characters just brush it off, rather than being like "WTF are you talking about?" ...Also, Agrabah is post-apocalyptic. There's more evidence in the animated series. Both of these things are true.
Doesn't even need to travel in time himself. Just needs to use magic to watch TV from his future (what else are you going to do when trapped inside a lamp for who knows how long?) Visions of the future are a pretty basic form of magic in most fiction and he's shown to be absurdly powerful.
I like this theory, but I can't agree with it for a single reason: This is a world with magic. When you encouter a genie who can do ANYTHING, even if he has been imprisonned for 10000 years, litterally anything and everything is possible through a single reason: wishes. And it's even stated that Genie (the one from the lamp) is not the only genie, since he could (*not really spoiler alert*) turn Jaffar into "the most powerful genie" and (*not really spoiler alert*) "Who ever heard of a genie without a lamp?" So, all these things that are presented as proof in the video, while logical and/or reasonnable cannot be taken as incontroversible proof of any theory at all due to the fact that magic does whatever it wants.
My theory is that Genie must have live from 10,000 years. If all the modern reference from media that Genie performed exist, then it implied that Arabia takes place in a post-apocalyptic timeline.

You video theory is pretty good but there was a tv episode on Disney years ago that young Hercules and Aladdin were tricked into fighting each. A plot formed by Hades and Jafar who is currently in the underworld, the realm of the dead. So considering the two heroes met and Hercules living in Ancient Greece destroys your theory about Aladdin is living in the future. Hercules doesn't time travel to fight him either. So it's strongly possible that the Genie has the ability to time travel and was free at some point in his early life before being forced to serve. He might have been captured the same way Aladdin had captured Jafar when he was turned into a Genie, by someone who was wise enough to know about the lamp. If anyone wants to see that episode of the fight between Hercules and Aladdin it's called: Hercules and the Arabian Night
I don’t think Aladdin takes place in the future; I have always thought Genie 🧞♂️ was a time traveler and that’s how he knows all the cultural references.
I know it's just a theory but eh, too much reading into it. Beginning by considering that if this takes place after some sort of post apocalyptic event Iraq was THE active war zone for the Gulf War. It would have been the very first to be absolutely wiped off, along with the rest of the Middle East. It makes no sense whatsoever to think it would be the ONLY surviving place on Earth. Also the modern cultural references Genie makes are because he breaks the fourth wall. At the very end of the film he lifts the screen and goes "made you look" at the audience. Even during the live action when Aladdin dupes him into giving him a free wish, Will Smith's Genie rewinds the movie. It's part of the character, not to mention since it was written SPECIFICALLY for Robin and he is great at imitation it was giving him free range to add his own personal touches. The cave of wonders point falls apart when you remember how everything seem to melt to the floor when Abu grabbed the diamond. Even if you consider it a super modern self destruct resource it's ridiculous for it to exist if so much value was stored for any reason there. Bye.
In the end of the movie genie told Aladdin that he will never find a girl like jasmine and he says "believe me I looked" so obviously he can see the future, plus when they were on the magic carpet they past ancient egypt and saw someone working on one of the pyramids.I don't think that Egypt would ever bring back pharos!
I'm still wondering if this film was a Saudi Disney film that was meant to make a futuristic plot line, because I am aware that a live make of this childhood classic was currently being casted.
At the end of the movie when Genie is telling Aladdin to wish to be a prince again so he can be with Jasmine, Genie says “You aren’t going to find another girl like her in a million years. Believe me, I know, I’ve looked.” Which explains how he would know what happens in the future, culturally, etc. Even as a little kid I understood that. Also, it’s a Disney movie... animals talk, things are magic, princesses are dressed in “sexy” clothes sometimes, things aren’t exactly historically accurate, and some things aren’t logical, it’s just for fun!
I disagree with the theory. In reality, the reason why there is so many inconsistencies is that the directors were American and did not do research to what actual middle eastern culture was like. Secondly, the film was created to be funny, not accurate. They knew that American public would not be able to relate to middle eastern culture so they "Americanized" it. It is that simple.
This is the best explanation to the movie ever like seriously I think Disney just took whatever they seen and put it in a movie and called it middle eastern and the fact that some stuff aren’t even from the Middle East like the clothes and some names are Indian bruh
i agree with almost everything being a possibility except genie being an android. There is no way this is possible, first of all everything he makes appear is lightning fast, not even the fastest computer in the world could make things appear out of thin air with little to no effort (and don't give me that: its 10.000 years in the future bullshit cuz there was an apocalypse so technology stopped evolving. and second: If genie is an android how dafuq did he transform Jafar into a sorcerer and then a genie. You are telling me that an ANDROID used some kind of programming or computing to transform a human being to a GENIE ( or as you call it: another super advanced android) bullshit is what i'm sayin to that.
If this theory is true. That would mean Hercules is in the future as well, due to the fact of the Hercules and Aladdin tv series crossover "Hercules and the Arabian Night." Hercules and the Arabian Night" is a crossover episode of Disney's Hercules: The Animated Series featuring characters from Disney's Aladdin franchise including, Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Jafar and Abu. It aired on February 10, 1999 and is a sequel to Aladdin and the King of Thieves.
9:05 extremely modern 😂 huni which country in Middle East did you visit ? and Islam doesn't stop women from saying what in her mind, society does 😁 - and don't know why - maybe because world is dominant by male 💀, and maybe you are right she's act more like us now - nowadays women -. 7:15 architecture it's more like Taj Mahal to me, maybe Disney mixed up all Asian cultural, lifestyle, heritage and etc together 😂 I feel more like it's India then Middle East, there's Islam in India too you know 😁 I mean look at the names Agrabah more like Agra, Rajah, if not India then maybe Iraq, Turkey or Egypt after all all Asian countries share in more then one thing - similarities -
FINALLY SOMEONE HAS COMMON SENSE LIKE ITS CLEAR THAT MOST OF THE STUFF IN THE MOVIE ARE INDIAN AND THE DIRECTORS JUST TOOK WHATVER THEY SAW AND PUT IN THE MOVIE AND CALLED IT MIDDLE EASTERN 😭😭😭
I think Geini as you said might be a advanced AI, I think he was the cause of everything being reset. He probably has thaught humans were obsolete. And wanted to hit the reset button, but being humans we ‘tried’ to fight back
I never heard of this theory till I watched this video. However if you watch and listen to the ending he said there won’t be another girl like Jasmine in a “million years” because he looked. Meaning he can see across time plus him being in the lamp ten thousand years was probably an exaggeration too.
It's a fictional movie so they can easily put whatever they want and stuff like Iago's feathers could be a mistake. This is something that may have been changed to make more sense in the remake. How about that, guys?
Perhaps Genie is actually an alien creature able to manipulate reality (similar to Q from Star Trek) but humans of the past created a technology to trap him and force him to use his powers for their gain. The carpet could also be high tech.
Further supporting evidence: Written history only dates back 6000 years. So Genie would've been in the lamp 4000 years before there were settled peoples to make the lamp.
The problem with this theory is that if everything is a wasteland how did greek survive ? Like literally there a crossover episode with aladdin and hercules
Unfortunately I'm going to have to boot this Theory in the series Hercules and the series Aladdin they do a crossover and we all know that Hercules is ancient Greek so sorry
Genie is not human, he's kinda of a spirit and could live on forever. He could've first been created in the years of Jesus, then lived on forever until Aladdin's year.
But here's the thing disney makes movies that sometimes never follows logic and I'm pretty sure that's magic.I mean think about it a lot of disney princess movies take place way back when but they lived through it so the probably forgot
Even more backs this theory up, the genie multiple times does things in today’s world. He uses microphones, light up LED signs, plane imitations, and a camera gesture! Also in a scene, jafar’s parrot says “pack the guns” when they are in danger, also the genie even plays chess with the carpet and in the same scene, has a tie? Like a tie from a suit and tie, so there isn’t a doubt that this theory is fake
The thumbnail says it's the year 11,922, and I just thought _"Oh, right on! You're using the Holocene calendar, which is based on science and not on the birth of a religious figure that may or may not have existed"._ ...Then I start watching the video and I'm like _"Oh, they are using the Christian calendar after all."_ In any case, what's the explanation of Jafar's sorcery? He clearly has some magic power.
I mean, some historians DO believe Jesus existed, but they think he was a regular human who started a religious movement, also, it's a very well-known calendar. Most People don't talk about the Holocene calendar, thus it is clear for some to use A.D. since people are familiar with that timespan.
Mkay maybe the genie just makes these jokes

Who gets married at 16 years old in 11,970
A,D
there is a hercules aladdin crossover so the theory is no longer possible
(hercules is a thing of the past)
How about Hercules??
Or maybe genie can time travel and got stuck in the past.
Also hercules is canon to aladdin.
I think Geini as you said might be a advanced AI, I think he was the cause of everything being reset. He probably has thaught humans were obsolete. And wanted to hit the reset button, but being humans we ‘tried’ to fight back
One thing though Hercules is in the Aladdin TV series so it can't be set in the year 11,992
Okay okay everyone’s over here fighting and I just gotta say it
*10,000 YEARS*
*cAn GiVe yOu SuCH a cRicK iN thE nEcK*
Genie can time travel like Merlin
I never heard of this theory till I watched this video. However if you watch and listen to the ending he said there won’t be another girl like Jasmine in a “million years” because he looked. Meaning he can see across time plus him being in the lamp ten thousand years was probably an exaggeration too.
Wanna know something amazing? I went to Playhouse Square and got to sit in three rows from the stage and see this!
I wouldn’t be surprised if films like Tangled and Frozen took place in the distant future as well.
What about when Aladdin and jasmine take the carpet ride and they cause the Egyptian to break the great Sphinx nose off
It's a fictional movie so they can easily put whatever they want and stuff like Iago's feathers could be a mistake.
Further supporting evidence:
Written history only dates back 6000 years. So Genie would've been in the lamp 4000 years before there were settled peoples to make the lamp.
The problem with this theory is that if everything is a wasteland how did greek survive ? Like literally there a crossover episode with aladdin and hercules
*clap clap*I'ts literally kind of magic magic...MAGIC!!!
I like this theory
Another example of overanalysing
the main point of the film was from some theories Arabs had in a stories in name الف ليله و ليه one thousand and one night
If AI got that powerful, wouldn't it be likely that AI destroyed the past world
And then why wouldn't there bee more super-powerful AI "robots"
And women in the middle east were always empowered
at the being of the Muslims culture we didn't wear hijabs
Or it could be you know a lot of things Disney just didn't think of
Disney puts references like this in their movies
Taking a cute Disney movie and turning it into an Apocalypse/catastrophe or holograms. Nice
(4:59) AND Genie seems to have seen Disney's 2nd movie, Pinocchio!!!
i feel like im gonna be jasmine when im older but thats in 10,000 YEARS
What if the genie's lamp can be found in any time line....hes always there any and every year simultaneously
Only thing it leaves out though is Jafar being turned into a genie by genie. So the A.I. genie theory has a hole in it
But here's the thing disney makes movies that sometimes never follows logic and I'm pretty sure that's magic.I mean think about it a lot of disney princess movies take place way back when but they lived through it so the probably forgot
BTW the footage you used from the official Aladdin video game is actually from 2 different games.
The arcitecture of the palace seems more Russian than Arabian, In fact, until 2016, I kept confusing the Agraba palace with st. Basil's cathedral!
It’s just a show, it shouldn’t be logical in the first place
It’s a movie
I can expect a GIANT storage of 'cryo-pods' under the kingdom.
Y'all forgot the talking bird having guns
The thumbnail says it's the year 11,922, and I just thought _"Oh, right on! You're using the Holocene calendar, which is based on science and not on the birth of a religious figure that may or may not have existed"._
...Then I start watching the video and I'm like _"Oh, they are using the Christian calendar after all."_
In any case, what's the explanation of Jafar's sorcery? He clearly has some magic power.
I mean, some historians DO believe Jesus existed, but they think he was a regular human who started a religious movement, also, it's a very well-known calendar. Most People don't talk about the Holocene calendar, thus it is clear for some to use A.D. since people are familiar with that timespan.

Yes, say it with meaning; I need to know that you really mean it.
