The Evil’s Queen hair is actually black. In her transformation scene, she had a scream of fear in her potion to whiten her hair. Then under the transformation, you can see her black hair, starting to get white.

I have a theory: the Evil Queen was Snow White's real mother, as demonstrated by the considerable physical resemblance. Snow White grew up to be an equally powerful witch, but being Snow White, made entirely different use of her magic, creating beauty to help other people. She became queen and became the "Fairy Godmother" in her old age, since being beloved of her people, and a queen, it simply wouldn't be suitable to call her a witch.
I like that theory (especially Snow White having magical abilities)! However, the movie does make it pretty clear the Evil Queen married into the throne and wasn't Snow White's biological mom. However, we aren't ever told that Snow White's father the king didn't have magic and Snow White could have been blessed by fairies at birth like Aurora was so there is still a possibility she has some kind of magical abilities/connection.

About the part about Queen Grimhilde’s hair color around 1:10: when she transforms from her queen form to the witch form used to trick Snow White, her hair is shown fading from black to white. Mother Gothel was evil but she treated Rapunzel well. She cared for her. She surprised her. She made her happy. She consoled her when she was sad. She never even thought of hurting her. Had she been able to cut off Rapunzel's hair she wud never have needed to abduct her. Im sure she loved her somewhere. She knew that if she didnt cherish Rapunzel her hair wud fall weak. Mother Gothel protected her. In a way too as she knew that the powers of her hair kud stop working if Rapunzel wud fall weak. She cookef her favourite meal. At the beginning of Tangled, the story goes that there was an old woman who found a magical flower and 300 years later a princess was born and the old lady was still going to that flower till the queen got deathly ill and the king's men went out and found the fkower that healed the queen. The old woman then kidnapped the child and raised her.

I apologize in advance for my long rant/theory of Mother Gothal. This video didn't even sway my opinion in the slightest. The apple at the end wasn't from blood it was from paint. I think that Mother Gothal's true identity is Medea from the Greek stories of the famous Argonaut Jason. I know that Mother Gothal is Greek because of one of the lines from the healing incantation. If you remember, at the beginning of the movie it shows that she was the one who came up with the lyrics, not Rapunzel. The lyrics that show she's Greek are 'Change the Fates design'. The Fates were the triplet daughters of Zeus and the Titaness Themis(Maybe. I know that it's one of the T names. There are three of those). When they were born they immediately became shriveled little grannies. They would knit and when they snipped the string, some mortal life would come to an end. The gods quickly discovered that they not only could see the future, but they could also control it as well. This ties into the 'Fates design' part of the lyrics. We don't officially know it but Mother Gothal has done somethings that would have had to be done by magic. In the reprise of 'Mother Knows Best' fog starts to come into the clearing and when Mother Gothal leaves, the fog goes with her and stops far enough away that her and the other guys can see Flinn and Rapunzel but they couldn't see them. Mother Gothal knew exactly where they were in that scene as well and it never really tells us how she found them. We can see from this scene that Mother Gothal may have had some experience with men acting like they're interested in her, but only because they wanted something that only she could provide. In the story of Jason, Medea helped Jason do everything that her father had wanted him to do, in order to help get Jason the golden fleece, A ram skin that could heal anything and make lands prosper. Jason never would have gotten the golden fleece if it weren't for Medea's help, but years later, Jason was very unhappy with being married to Medea, which was her price for helping him retrieve the fleece in the first place. He left her to marry the princess of the kingdom they were staying at. Then next time Jason came home was because he was being chased by an angry mob after the princess died from her wedding dress which had poison lining the inside. The dress had been a gift from Medea but when Jason got there he found Medea standing over the dead bodies of their two sons with a knife. She said that that was his punishment for breaking his promise of staying with her forever. We see this in the fact that Mother Gothal is completely fine with murder when it comes to something that she wants. Another example of this in Medea's story is when they were sailing away from her father's kingdom. She called a flag of truce and her brother came on their ship. Medea killed her brother and the crew in a panic killed his guards. They started to sail away and this is the point when Jason realized that he had agreed to marry a crazy person. As they sailed, Medea chopped up her brother into little pieces and threw his parts overboard. The army that was following them had to stop to find all of him because back then it was believed that your soul would be trapped on earth if you weren't buried with all of your body. If this evidence isn't enough for you then I don't know what to tell you. Signs that point to Mother Gothal being Medea: 1. Their both Greek 2. They both have magic 3. They both may or may not have guy issues 4. They're both absolutely fine with cold-blooded murder 5. They are both creepy beyond reason 6. Neither takes broken promises very well 7. Neither works well with others 8. Both are(or should be)wanted for murder and theft/kidnapping 9. They are both too evil for words 10. They're both young beautiful women(Did in not mention that Medea was stunningly beautiful as well as creepy(Mother Gothal in appearance)) 11. They both guarded something that could keep you healthy/young(I think that the place where the flower grew was the place where the Ram was sacrificed and its blood created rich soil that the flower grew from) 12. Both will do whatever it takes to get what they want The flower was said to be "A hop, skip, and a boat ride away." Medea originated from Colchis, the farthest the Greeks had ever traveled and the end of the known world. The kingdom of Corona is in Germany. A hop to Poland, a skip to Ukraine, and a boat ride to the border between modern-day Turkey and Georgia. My theory is that Medea went back home after her husband, King Aegeus of Athens had the guards chase her out of the palace for trying to kill his only son Theseus(Theseus was really Poseidon's son but who cares about stuff like that when you're a king who's dying who hasn't had any kids)after he came to the palace to tell him of his parentage. When she finally arrives years later(Trips that far take a very long time)she finds that she is getting old and weak, and knows that her life is going to end soon. Then while walking she sees this golden flower and that it's glowing and the plants around it are much greener than the rest. She, having once been a priestess of the goddess of magic, Hecate, instantly knows that it can help her, sensing that it has the power of the fleece she once helped to guard. She starts to sing to herself and finds that during her song, her voice became younger, her hair darker and more luscious, and her body less wrinkly and full of aches. She knows that she has become young again. To prevent what happened last time she better guards this gift, and comes back many times to sing to it as she discovers that, if she's away from it too long, she starts to become her real age. She guards this flower for centuries until the knights of Corona find and take the flower to aid the sick queen. She secretly follows the search party back to Corona by blending in with the commoners heading back to the kingdom. Too weak to steal the flower back she waits until she hears that the queen had eaten the flower and had a daughter. She knows that the daughter will have the properties of the flower and sneaks into the castle in the dead of night when the guards are being switched out and tries to take some hair from the child but quickly finds out that it isn't going to be so easy. She kidnaps the child and I'm sure you all know the rest. That's what I think and who I think Mother Gothal really is. Once again, I'm sorry for such a long comment and I congratulate anyone who has gotten this far.
I have a theory that when evil Queen fell down she survived and found the magic flower then she became mother gothel and kidnapped Rapunzel . But in descendent's since Rapunzel and snow white were her enemies she gave birth to Evie as evil Queen this also explains why mother gothel isn't in descendants , This would also explain how she knew the song that she sang to the flower cause the evil Queen knew a lot about magic and spells.

I respectfully disagree with this theory. Gothel does not even look similar to the evil queen. The queen has green eyes, while Gothel has grey/bluish eyes. The queen has arched eyebrows, while Gothel has normal eyebrows. The queen has straight black hair (it's revealed during her transformation into the old hag), while Gothel has curly hair. Gothel has a hooked nose, while the queen's nose is straight. Gothel's body is very curvy with big breasts, while the queen's body seems thinner and with average breasts. Also, the Queen is more serious, cold and emotionless, while Gothel is all over the place, with a sassy, dramatic and teathrical personality.
Those are great points, but since Gothel has dark magic, and spiritual abilities with herbs, plants, and other things, she may have wanted to be a better version of herself. I know it’s only a movie, and we all are being so theoretical, but since Gothel has always been into alchemy, she can change parts of herself, that she want to be more beautiful. Bigger booty, big breasts, curvy yet slender.

We don’t know how we,as humans, would change if we were able to live more than 300 years, while staying young ! I really think someone could somewhat drastically change personality wise, and Gothel isn’t even too far off from the queen, she’s just more expressive.

People truly don’t know how dark, dark brown hair is unless light hits it you may mistake it for black even though pretty sure the Evil queen and mother Gothel do have black hair . I don't think Gothel harvested that magical flower, there is another theory that Te Fiti in Moana created those magical flowers because one of them were shown in a scene while Moana was climing up a mountain, then the magical flowers got endangered and the last one left was used by Rapunzel's mother to give birth
Eh there are definitely a lot of similarities but the eye color and the fact that they don't both have curly hair keeps throwing me off. Especially given her secret potion stash in Tangled the Series and the fact that Gothel was allegedly hundreds of years old, there are a lot of elements of this theory that are pretty convincing. I also didn't realize that Gothel and Grimhilde were played by the same actress. That is pretty telling. However, what if the Evil Queen was Gothel's Mom instead of simply being the same person? What if Grimhilde abandoned Gothel and her Coronan father to become royalty? That way, they would still be connected despite some of the subtle physical differences between them.

The reason Gothel abandoned Cass was to be able to get away with Rapunzel (not that its justified but you can see Gothel hesitate for a split second before she cuts the bridge). {By the way, why didn't Gothel take Cass to the tower BEFORE kidnapping Rapunzel? Did she think that was the only way to get away from the guards?}. Gothel could have abandoned Grimhilde too for the sake of maintaining her love life without a child interfering but don't you think Gothel would have jumped back into her life if she heard her daughter was a QUEEN (I guess unless she didn't know it was her daughter)? However, this theory only holds if Gothel taught Demanitus about the Golden flower and not the other way around because Demanitus was a Coronan and Gothel likely would have been dead by that time had she not known about the flower?
Is it just me who noticed how similar their makeup was. Kohl/eyeliner rimmed eyes neutral eyeshadow with dark brown on the outside and a more softer skin tone colour on the inner,reddy pink lipstick ,blush and wispy eyelashes in the corner

It is possible Gothel was doing witchcraft while she was out of the tower, and thus why she is never shown doing so. As for why Gothel never uses them, she probably wasn't able to store any in the tower with Rapunzel about.
A theory just popped in my mind this morning. Queen Grimhilde might really be Mother Gothel afterall! It's not zat such a bad thing. I mean look at the facts. Queen Grimhilde does not old in Snow White. She transforms herself into the wicked old witch/hag by the means if her sorcery. She does not age as such. Struck by lightning, the rocky cliff's end crumbled which caused her to fall. We heard her cry loudly till it disappeared. But that doesnt mean that she died. Her cap might have stuck in branches or she might have survived by falling in water or her spells might have saved her from death n help her survive. I know zat her spells seemed only to work with a certain arrangement of items but as the tv show Charmed showed us, spells n incantations can work without items. Just by saying them aloud. Disney made it that way for reasons related to the movie. Besides, the old witch was made after traits zat peope normally relate to witches zat we despise so much. + again she might have used her spells; this time both by mouth n items collected in nature to help her survive. Everybody thought she was dead n maybe forgot how she looked like. So, this was a chance to create a new identity...n maybe again make an attempt to gain more n more power for herself. Afterall, what might she be doing outside her tower secretively? At that time, Disney movies were made that way with less details n rather minimalist in nature. But by then, technologies evolved. Zat's y her face was shown as sassy n expressionless all the time. Her body language wud always remain confident, cool, calm n proud. The old wicked witch was decided to her opposite. She would not only experience but also make the audience feel emotions such as laughter, fright, disgust. Her curved n bent figure wud show tension zat wud mean zat she was more prone to show how she feels via her body language too. The old with was cool n her attire n behaviour provided a more manly counterpart to the feminine Evil Queen. Her black cap made her cool n she already did set the tone for the streetstyle trend. Disney ultimately decided that Mother Gothel wud integrate both aspects of Queen Grimhilde's character. She as unscrupulous as Queen Grimhilde but she's got zat cool attitude of the old witch. She's funny, maniacle n extremely capable of feelings to the point that she can use them as part of her theatricalities! She's a really good actor. Her thugqueen attitude gives her zar trendy cool attitude. She does all the dirty things herself. Zat also shows her masculinity. Although the old witch sets the streetstyle trend, it is mother Gothel who wears it like a badass queen zat she is. N when she becomes zat old witch at last, Mother Gothel really reminds us of the ole hag. BTW, talking of the old hag, I see her witchy look as being the more close to her natural ageing process. Her craft has helped her maybe not deteriorate n ultimately perish...thus giving her a near immortal life + zat really slows her ageing process. Her Gold flower keeps her vanity intact but her spells n potions have really barred her from just going pouff with her ashes dispersed in thin air. Mother Gothel's tower, refined dress, gold mug, golden flower, her love for red color, her obsession with vanity...all these reflect her royal self zat she hasnt forgotten at all! Zat maybe indirectly, reflects her innermost desire of gaining her royal status n power again! Just look at Mother Gothel's famous pose; arms wide open as if care free n sassy, head tilted to the right n zat i give a damn abut u look, body relaxed. Now look at Queen Grimhilde! Head strong, arms extended n body stiff firm. They look so alike. How come she's got the Evil Queen's dagger? She's got her big oval mirror. She loves to admire herself a lot in the mirror. I guess Disney had tried to fool us by making Mother Gothel cooler, overdramatic, less vicious n so loved by us fans. But u cant makes us. Was a gud one but not enuf to fool us. She's lot nicer but she's still sassy, badass, cruel, evil n unscrupulous! Is she still an evil witch or a repented sinner? It's hardly debatable! The Evil’s Queen hair is actually black. In her transformation scene, she had a scream of fear in her potion to whiten her hair. Then under the transformation, you can see her black hair, starting to get white.

I have a theory: the Evil Queen was Snow White's real mother, as demonstrated by the considerable physical resemblance. Snow White grew up to be an equally powerful witch, but being Snow White, made entirely different use of her magic, creating beauty to help other people. She became queen and became the "Fairy Godmother" in her old age, since being beloved of her people, and a queen, it simply wouldn't be suitable to call her a witch.
I like that theory (especially Snow White having magical abilities)! However, the movie does make it pretty clear the Evil Queen married into the throne and wasn't Snow White's biological mom. However, we aren't ever told that Snow White's father the king didn't have magic and Snow White could have been blessed by fairies at birth like Aurora was so there is still a possibility she has some kind of magical abilities/connection.

Mother Gothel was evil but she treated Rapunzel well. She cared for her. She surprised her. She made her happy. She consoled her when she was sad. She never even thought of hurting her. Had she been able to cut off Rapunzel's hair she wud never have needed to abduct her. Im sure she loved her somewhere. She knew that if she didnt cherish Rapunzel her hair wud fall weak. I apologize in advance for my long rant/theory of Mother Gothal.
This video didn't even sway my opinion in the slightest. The apple at the end wasn't from blood it was from paint. I think that Mother Gothal's true identity is Medea from the Greek stories of the famous Argonaut Jason. I know that Mother Gothal is Greek because of one of the lines from the healing incantation. If you remember, at the beginning of the movie it shows that she was the one who came up with the lyrics, not Rapunzel. The lyrics that show she's Greek are 'Change the Fates design'. The Fates were the triplet daughters of Zeus and the Titaness Themis(Maybe. I know that it's one of the T names. There are three of those). When they were born they immediately became shriveled little grannies. They would knit and when they snipped the string, some mortal life would come to an end. The gods quickly discovered that they not only could see the future, but they could also control it as well. This ties into the 'Fates design' part of the lyrics. We don't officially know it but Mother Gothal has done somethings that would have had to be done by magic. In the reprise of 'Mother Knows Best' fog starts to come into the clearing and when Mother Gothal leaves, the fog goes with her and stops far enough away that her and the other guys can see Flinn and Rapunzel but they couldn't see them. Mother Gothal knew exactly where they were in that scene as well and it never really tells us how she found them. We can see from this scene that Mother Gothal may have had some experience with men acting like they're interested in her, but only because they wanted something that only she could provide. In the story of Jason, Medea helped Jason do everything that her father had wanted him to do, in order to help get Jason the golden fleece, A ram skin that could heal anything and make lands prosper. Jason never would have gotten the golden fleece if it weren't for Medea's help, but years later, Jason was very unhappy with being married to Medea, which was her price for helping him retrieve the fleece in the first place. He left her to marry the princess of the kingdom they were staying at. Then next time Jason came home was because he was being chased by an angry mob after the princess died from her wedding dress which had poison lining the inside. The dress had been a gift from Medea but when Jason got there he found Medea standing over the dead bodies of their two sons with a knife. She said that that was his punishment for breaking his promise of staying with her forever. We see this in the fact that Mother Gothal is completely fine with murder when it comes to something that she wants. Another example of this in Medea's story is when they were sailing away from her father's kingdom. She called a flag of truce and her brother came on their ship. Medea killed her brother and the crew in a panic killed his guards. They started to sail away and this is the point when Jason realized that he had agreed to marry a crazy person. As they sailed, Medea chopped up her brother into little pieces and threw his parts overboard. The army that was following them had to stop to find all of him because back then it was believed that your soul would be trapped on earth if you weren't buried with all of your body. If this evidence isn't enough for you then I don't know what to tell you.
Signs that point to Mother Gothal being Medea:
1. Their both Greek
2. They both have magic
3. They both may or may not have guy issues
4. They're both absolutely fine with cold-blooded murder
5. They are both creepy beyond reason
6. Neither takes broken promises very well
7. Neither works well with others
8. Both are(or should be)wanted for murder and theft/kidnapping
9. They are both too evil for words
10. They're both young beautiful women(Did in not mention that Medea was stunningly beautiful as well as creepy(Mother Gothal in appearance))
11. They both guarded something that could keep you healthy/young(I think that the place where the flower grew was the place where the Ram was sacrificed and its blood created rich soil that the flower grew from)

The flower was said to be "A hop, skip, and a boat ride away." Medea originated from Colchis, the farthest the Greeks had ever traveled and the end of the known world. The kingdom of Corona is in Germany. A hop to Poland, a skip to Ukraine, and a boat ride to the border between modern-day Turkey and Georgia.
My theory is that Medea went back home after her husband, King Aegeus of Athens had the guards chase her out of the palace for trying to kill his only son Theseus(Theseus was really Poseidon's son but who cares about stuff like that when you're a king who's dying who hasn't had any kids)after he came to the palace to tell him of his parentage. When she finally arrives years later(Trips that far take a very long time)she finds that she is getting old and weak, and knows that her life is going to end soon. Then while walking she sees this golden flower and that it's glowing and the plants around it are much greener than the rest. She, having once been a priestess of the goddess of magic, Hecate, instantly knows that it can help her, sensing that it has the power of the fleece she once helped to guard. She starts to sing to herself and finds that during her song, her voice became younger, her hair darker and more luscious, and her body less wrinkly and full of aches. She knows that she has become young again. To prevent what happened last time she better guards this gift, and comes back many times to sing to it as she discovers that, if she's away from it too long, she starts to become her real age. She guards this flower for centuries until the knights of Corona find and take the flower to aid the sick queen. She secretly follows the search party back to Corona by blending in with the commoners heading back to the kingdom. Too weak to steal the flower back she waits until she hears that the queen had eaten the flower and had a daughter. She knows that the daughter will have the properties of the flower and sneaks into the castle in the dead of night when the guards are being switched out and tries to take some hair from the child but quickly finds out that it isn't going to be so easy. She kidnaps the child and I'm sure you all know the rest.
That's what I think and who I think Mother Gothal really is. Once again, I'm sorry for such a long comment and I congratulate anyone who has gotten this far.

I respectfully disagree with this theory. Gothel does not even look similar to the evil queen. The queen has green eyes, while Gothel has grey/bluish eyes. The queen has arched eyebrows, while Gothel has normal eyebrows. The queen has straight black hair (it's revealed during her transformation into the old hag), while Gothel has curly hair. Gothel has a hooked nose, while the queen's nose is straight. Gothel's body is very curvy with big breasts, while the queen's body seems thinner and with average breasts. Also, the Queen is more serious, cold and emotionless, while Gothel is all over the place, with a sassy, dramatic and teathrical personality.
Those are great points, but since Gothel has dark magic, and spiritual abilities with herbs, plants, and other things, she may have wanted to be a better version of herself. I know it’s only a movie, and we all are being so theoretical, but since Gothel has always been into alchemy, she can change parts of herself, that she want to be more beautiful. Bigger booty, big breasts, curvy yet slender.

Eh there are definitely a lot of similarities but the eye color and the fact that they don't both have curly hair keeps throwing me off. Especially given her secret potion stash in Tangled the Series and the fact that Gothel was allegedly hundreds of years old, there are a lot of elements of this theory that are pretty convincing. I also didn't realize that Gothel and Grimhilde were played by the same actress. That is pretty telling. However, what if the Evil Queen was Gothel's Mom instead of simply being the same person? What if Grimhilde abandoned Gothel and her Coronan father to become royalty? That way, they would still be connected despite some of the subtle physical differences between them.

The reason Gothel abandoned Cass was to be able to get away with Rapunzel (not that its justified but you can see Gothel hesitate for a split second before she cuts the bridge). {By the way, why didn't Gothel take Cass to the tower BEFORE kidnapping Rapunzel? Did she think that was the only way to get away from the guards?}. Gothel could have abandoned Grimhilde too for the sake of maintaining her love life without a child interfering but don't you think Gothel would have jumped back into her life if she heard her daughter was a QUEEN (I guess unless she didn't know it was her daughter)? However, this theory only holds if Gothel taught Demanitus about the Golden flower and not the other way around because Demanitus was a Coronan and Gothel likely would have been dead by that time had she not known about the flower?

It is possible Gothel was doing witchcraft while she was out of the tower, and thus why she is never shown doing so. As for why Gothel never uses them, she probably wasn't able to store any in the tower with Rapunzel about.
A theory just popped in my mind this morning. Queen Grimhilde might really be Mother Gothel afterall! It's not zat such a bad thing. I mean look at the facts. Queen Grimhilde does not old in Snow White. She transforms herself into the wicked old witch/hag by the means if her sorcery. She does not age as such. Struck by lightning, the rocky cliff's end crumbled which caused her to fall. We heard her cry loudly till it disappeared. But that doesnt mean that she died. Her cap might have stuck in branches or she might have survived by falling in water or her spells might have saved her from death n help her survive. I know zat her spells seemed only to work with a certain arrangement of items but as the tv show Charmed showed us, spells n incantations can work without items. Just by saying them aloud. Disney made it that way for reasons related to the movie. Besides, the old witch was made after traits zat peope normally relate to witches zat we despise so much. + again she might have used her spells; this time both by mouth n items collected in nature to help her survive. Everybody thought she was dead n maybe forgot how she looked like. So, this was a chance to create a new identity...n maybe again make an attempt to gain more n more power for herself. Afterall, what might she be doing outside her tower secretively? At that time, Disney movies were made that way with less details n rather minimalist in nature. But by then, technologies evolved. I mean nobody would ever know how Queen Grimhilde kud look today! Just take Cinderella n Snow from Wreck it Ralph 2! They r unidentifiable! They lool so different. So teenager. So gorgeous. So lively! They done a great job animating them zis way. Now imagine Queen Grimhilde! She must be having more sharp features. With her craft she maintained her beauty, vanity, pride n figure. That same white as snow skin. Same rosy as rose petal cheeks. Same blood red lips. Same dark as hell hair...I wud say the hair was straight at that time kuz it was chic but now having curly hair adds intensity, wildness n peps to ur look. + that ''Carre Plongeant'' Afro hairstyle is not only 'On Fleek' but gives zat badaas look too. She more adapted to modern audiences. Zats y mother Gothel is obsessed by vanity, grandeur n richness too. Her dress looks pretty refined n costly. Made from precious silk. Silk was a precious as gold earlier. It's a sign of nobility. Maybe an allusion to her royal past n an indicator of her exquisite taste. Mother Gothel loves to wear her blood red cap. Botn an allusion to her being a witch n her previous atire as queen. The long cap has a long trail that alludes to the grandeur of her royal dress. She still has her exquisite taste n charismatic look. In her earlier conception as Queen Grimhilde in 'Snow White', it was ultimately decided by Disney that there will be a duality in her character. Queen Grimhilde wud be a purely heartless, unempathetic, unscrupulous, insensitive n vicious ruler. She would not show any sign of feelings. Zat's y her face was shown as sassy n expressionless all the time. Her body language wud always remain confident, cool, calm n proud. The old wicked witch was decided to her opposite. She would not only experience but also make the audience feel emotions such as laughter, fright, disgust. Her curved n bent figure wud show tension zat wud mean zat she was more prone to show how she feels via her body language too. The old with was cool n her attire n behaviour provided a more manly counterpart to the feminine Evil Queen. Her black cap made her cool n she already did set the tone for the streetstyle trend. Disney ultimately decided that Mother Gothel wud integrate both aspects of Queen Grimhilde's character. She as unscrupulous as Queen Grimhilde but she's got zat cool attitude of the old witch. She's funny, maniacle n extremely capable of feelings to the point that she can use them as part of her theatricalities! She's a really good actor. Her thugqueen attitude gives her zar trendy cool attitude. She does all the dirty things herself. Zat also shows her masculinity. Although the old witch sets the streetstyle trend, it is mother Gothel who wears it like a badass queen zat she is. N when she becomes zat old witch at last, Mother Gothel really reminds us of the ole hag. BTW, talking of the old hag, I see her witchy look as being the more close to her natural ageing process. Her craft has helped her maybe not deteriorate n ultimately perish...thus giving her a near immortal life + zat really slows her ageing process. Her Gold flower keeps her vanity intact but her spells n potions have really barred her from just going pouff with her ashes dispersed in thin air. Mother Gothel's tower, refined dress, gold mug, golden flower, her love for red color, her obsession with vanity...all these reflect her royal self zat she hasnt forgotten at all! Zat maybe indirectly, reflects her innermost desire of gaining her royal status n power again! Just look at Mother Gothel's famous pose; arms wide open as if care free n sassy, head tilted to the right n zat i give a damn abut u look, body relaxed. Now look at Queen Grimhilde! Head strong, arms extended n body stiff firm. They look so alike. How come she's got the Evil Queen's dagger? She's got her big oval mirror. She loves to admire herself a lot in the mirror. I guess Disney had tried to fool us by making Mother Gothel cooler, overdramatic, less vicious n so loved by us fans. But u cant makes us. Was a gud one but not enuf to fool us. She's lot nicer but she's still sassy, badass, cruel, evil n unscrupulous! Is she still an evil witch or a repented sinner? It's hardly debatable! Is she still zat cold-hearted monster or a repented soul who got trapped in her own ambitions? Well, it seems Disney has left us the liberty to answer zat. But watever u may say, I have enuf proof to say zat Queen Grimhilde is indeed Mother Gothel😉!!!
*Now look at their attires! Both are slim n long. Both have long sleeves zat grow larger at ends. Both have a sort of waistband where Queen Grimhilde has like a rope like belt n Mother Gothel a literal gold bucked silk belt
