It's so weird seeing Dave Mustaine without his beautiful long ginger hair. I'm happy he has recovered from cancer, his past alcohol and drug addictions, past toxicity, and has become a much better person than he used to be and I'm proud of that. He's a fantastic musician and overall nice guy.

The attitudes and spirits of Dave, David and even all of Metallica's members have grown and changed so much since I was a kid. I've been listening to all these guys since I was 12. I'm 41 now. It's been a gift and a blessing to grow with them.

Hey guys, a lot of comments on Dave getting old and look thin...Of course I understand the concern and as a fan I noticed that as well..but as a doctor, I can say that what he went through and the aftermath of treatments leaves usually a huge impact on a person...I am hoping for a kind of a last Hurrah with the latest album, hope is the new "Peace sells, Rust in Peace" of the decade...and then, I 'd be ok with Dave to get some rest and stop....By all means, if he has some more music to sell, I' d be the first buying....lol...but I feel a proper Megadeth album and a good tour to say goodbye would keep 99% of fans satisfied...This guy suffered a lot all those years, neck injuries, nerve injuries, cancer and the occasional cardiac arrest in A&E back in the day.....He really, really needs to rest....It's well deserved.
Dystopia was an amazing album. So if they can expand on that some more, which it sounds like they are, the new album should be amazing!!
I believe he needs a rest and peaceful time with his family.
The schedule of a musician isn't all about fun and creative input, there's a lot of body stress and non-healthy habits, constant jet lags leading to sleep problems, cardiovascular problems by being many hours sitting on a bus or a plane.
Many bands retired because touring means body stress. Rush did it, Black Sabbath and countless other bands. And it's ok.

AIC was a "new" band when Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax did the Clash of Titans tour (facelift era) they took them to open those shows, from there, a lot of people know about Alice because of that tour, I think it is a way to thank that they took them on tour...

Met Dave in Glasgow 2001 when Megadeth played Barrowlands....he was the only one from the band that stopped and chatted to the fans. Signed loads of stuff and took photos. Will always remember that. Thanks Dave.

Aside from the medical treatment he's gone through, this is just how redheads and very white folks grow old. I know an asian guy that's the same age as Dave and he doesn't look a day over 35. Take a look at James Hetfield, he looks old, like grampa old and Kirk is the oldest in Metallica!

dave mustaine is a good dude . I came up listening to megadeth and still be jammin to megadeth till this day . but when I learned that dave had the throat cancer it was fuckin crazy because at the same time I had colon cancer , so that made me a bigger fan of dave mustaine . luckily I didnt have to do chemo therapy but I am still wearing a shit bag at the moment . but I went through the cat scan and no cancer has spread and I can go through my reversal surgery at any time now . but I do wish the best for dave and hopefully he'll stay healthy and continue to bring us some good jams .
AIC record there is probably from they opened the Clash Of The Titans tour. Dave was friendly with them guys..

Dave Mustaine is the only musician that I would love to meet in person that I have not yet met. I have so much respect for what he has done in his whole career and life. Most people would have given up if they even went through 10% of what Dave Mustaine has went through his whole life. He is a survivor and he has always been one. Every time he fell down, he got right back up stronger than ever before. I have been a huge massive fan of both Megadeth and Metallica for over thirty five years. In the first twenty years, Metallica was my favorite out of the two bands, but in the recent fifteen years Megadeth has been my favorite out of the two bands. The majority of the albums that Megadeth has released in the last twenty years is amazing. Albums like The System Has Failed, United Abominations, Endgame, Thirteen, and especially Dystopia are Phenomenal albums to me. Dave Mustaine is one of the greatest guitar players and songwriters ever in my opinion. I am so glad that he beat cancer, and I have never been more anxious for a new Megadeth album like I am right now for the follow up to Dystopia.
Really hope he bounces back the big C is a hard uphill battle heres wishing dave all the best of irish luck.
